The menu was small and uninteresting, the staff were rude, so we left.

Me and my partner came here on Monday 3rd June in the afternoon for my birthday. I ordered a chicken kebab which came to around £15 and my partner ordered a steak which came to £22.50. My chicken kebab was ok. The chicken was tasteless and burnt all around the edges and was tough to chew, the side salad was a bit of iceburg lettuce, a chunk of onion and two chopped pieces of tomatoes... Lucky I had peppers and onions on my kebab. The steak was shocking and I wouldn't of paid that price for it. The steak was overdone to how he wanted it, it came with the little side salad (the same salad that was on my chicken kebab) a little basket of chips which was filled with crispy bits of batter and a pot of gravy! Yes GRAVY! It was absolutely appalling. We had them meals and two cokes and the bill came to £43! Absolutely robbed. I wasn't risking a desert. We never even got asked how are meals where and had to get up ourselves to pay for the bill as it seemed like we was being avoided... I wonder why 🤔 seems like they know themselves that their food isn't up to standard and isn't worth the money

AVOID I recently hosted drinks/food for 80 guests at the Delph following my daughters Christening. We received multiple calls prior to the event requesting payment despite at the time of booking being told we would pay a deposit and the remainder on the day of the event. When trying to raise concerns following the event the owner was uncontactable despite trying to contact via email/in person on multiple occasions. Numerous issues occurred: We pre-ordered pizza from the party menu, we were told to order an estimate amount which we would be able to add to on the day if required. On the day we required additional food but were told that the non-event customers were a priority and therefore no further pizzas could be ordered. There were 2 staff on the bar - they tried to work as fast as they could but with 80 guests in our party in the main room and other customers outside/in the side room there was a considerable queue for drinks. I felt both of these issues were poor and could have been avoided with better planning from The Delph given that the room hire was in excess of £200 for a 4 hour period on a Sunday and we had given prior notice of the number of guests which would be attending. I had hoped to avoid having to write a negative review but the lack of contact from the owners/management has left me with little choice. I will not be returning and do not recommend.

Great time staff friendly hard working

Shocking from start to finish staff didn’t understand English very well, ordered Avo & Eggs on a muffin instead of toast, arrived on a muffin without eggs…. They brought eggs separately but had been poached in so much vinegar it was all I could taste and one egg was solid, next came eggs Benedict asked for hollandaise on the side came with, took 27 minutes to replace and the hollandaise was scrambled and eggs again tasted so strongly of vinegar….. would not recommend

I celebrated my 30th birthday at the Delph and the service we received was exceptional. We had a big private function room we hired which was already decorated beautifully. No question or request was too much! Would highly recommend!

A lot can be written about this establishment. The good thing is that they have an excellent location and a decent interior. But... At lunchtime, tables are occupied at 30%. The menu was brought in 10 minutes, the order was taken in 15 minutes, the food arrived in 1 hour!!! However, the food was very mediocre. Edible, but tasteless and fried in old oil. Overall: The staff is not bad. The Chef is an absolute unprofessional. Sorry, but any housewife in the kitchen will cook much better food. Would we visit this establishment a second time? Only if you order and drink coffee or tea.

Received a call 20 minutes before our Mother's Day booking to say ran out of food so would have to cancel table my daughter has booked 😔 terrible customer service experience. Call very matter of fact with no apology!

I tried this place more than once, I keep trying hoping it would get better.. The young bar staff were and are fantastic but there is a massive disconnect with the kitchen.

Food absolutely awful, half the menu wasn’t available even though we had booked in advance and it was 7pm on a Saturday night, what was left was deep fried, less than mediocre, reheated less than average food - very disappointing, could be a gold mind due to its location -our waitress was lovely, wouldn’t recommend won’t be returning

Never been here before but had heard the roast dinners were good so thought we'd give it a try. I have to say the dinner was absolutely gorgeous! I had the lamb and it was very nice but wished I'd have ordered the chicken as I tried my daughters and it was to die for. We will definitely be back again. Our server was lovely too and very friendly. The only downfall and the reason for 4 stars was due to the place being freezing. There was a storm outside and the door kept blowing open.

Given this place one star, due to lack of communication. Their website says they are open on Tuesdays from 10. Arranged to meet a friend. Got there and there was a sign on the door.. changed hours and days they are open. Totally unprofessional and unacceptable when you have an up to date website.

We have just been to this place for the first time today. I had avocado, eggs and feta. This is the most disgusting meal I have ever had. The feta was off, yellow and like eating rubber. I have since been sick several times since leaving. This is extremely unsafe to serve off!

We ordered one fish and chips , and two roasts sirloin dinners. The roast was shockingly bad, I can’t believe it was allowed to leave the kitchen , everything was cold, and the Yorkshire pudding had been incinerated before being allowed to chill. We sent it back and ordered another two fishing n chips . One of the fish was very thin and greasy and the chips weren’t great, we ate very little. Our bill was discounted , but I wouldn’t go back. Lovely looking place , but very poor execution. There is a lot of decent competition in Monton and Worsley , so surprised this place is surviving.

The restaurant interior and design is excellent and it’s a really lovely location but this place is always such a disappointment. It’s fine to go for a coffee, but anything more and it just falls apart. The menu is a bit disappointing and there are always items unavailable, and what does arrive is pretty miserable. Portions are miserly and the food really isn’t very impressive. It really needs to be better managed. Sadly all fur coat as they say. This place could be amazing but we will just never go back for food. We’ve been let down once too many times so we were kind of asking for it by going again.

We had a delicious meal. Latte wasn't the best, but it deserved to have more than just us in there. Shame, coz it's a nice place.

Took my Mum for a Birthday lunch and we were both made to feel very welcome and special. The lady serving was very friendly and attentive. Large portions of tasty food (plenty of fish in the fish pie and plenty of chicken on the chicken sandwich). Mocktails were delicious too. Lovely warm place to eat and beautifully decorated for Christmas.

Came back to my favorite cosy place. When i came in I was shocked by all, the beautiful Christmas decorations. They drew me in they were so gorgeous! The place was beautiful and got me into the Christmas spirit. Saw my favorite staff who always pay attention to detail with my service, they are always up for the job which makes me feel welcomed as I can say different about other restaraunts. It's hard to find a place with such down to earth staff. I had a fish pie and it was delicious, one of the best I've had. I was looking for some new food and this was by far exceeding my expectations. I hope everybody comes here because the food and atmosphere is just great.

We booked a 25th wedding Anniversary here. The place is a lovely venue clean and also nice to look at. We didn’t really have to add much decorations as the place is nice itself. The food we had was lovely we had a pizza buffet for our guest. The staff were kind friendly and went above and beyond and were very happy to help in anyway they could. Would highly recommend if you are looking to book a function here 👍

My (£15) Caesar salad was tiny and without dressing, and my husband's (£15) chicken kebab consisted of three small pieces of chicken on a skewer with a couple of pieces of half-cooked pepper. Just don't go here!

The food took a long time to arrive and when it did we were disappointed. My wife's Caeser salad had no dressing on it and my chicken kebab consisted of 3 small pieces of chicken with peppers and was pretty flavourless. Neither dish was substantial or worth the £15 a head we paid. We wouldn't make a return visit.

Today was a sunny day ,me and my family were on a walk so we stopped at the delph. The place was busy , but the atmosphere was still great. We decided to try the Sunday roast,we only waited a short time,which was surprising as the place looked busy. The food was amazing, and the service aswell. The lady with the dark hair had amazing service,thank you very much and we will be back soon.

We just wanted a sandwich for lunch. However neither of us could finish as the bread was awful. Standard white sliced loaf..and lots of it. Cheese and onion chutney sandwich was very little cheese and slices of onion. On a more positive the fries were good.

Been here 3 times now once for lunch and twice for outside drinks and every time the service has been awful. Typical example we go to the bar to order drinks we are told to take a seat (outside where we wanted) and someone will come out! Nah They just dont come out for like 15 mins, staff come in droves to clean the tables but no one takes our order, we had to ask again at least twice. We were going to order some food but changed our mind this time and went elsewhere. Probably wont go again and it’s such a shame because it looks a lovely place. Maybe if you are local and they know you it is different because there’s some great reviews!

Quite a disappointing meal at The Delph. There was only one person serving as barman and waiter which slowed things down. The margarita cocktails we ordered seemed to be lacking Cointreau. The serving hatch into the kitchen revealed that a cook assembled and heated the ingredients; there was no hint of a chef. And while the food was fine, we received our starters simultaneously with our mains, which were, by definition, cold by the time we reached them. In short, it wasn't a great experience.

Such a shame. We use to love coming to the Delph always had lovely food and a great atmosphere. But now…..hit and miss food, no atmosphere and barely a soul in there. We were recently charged £15 for a chicken kebab (Picture attached) really disappointed. Hopefully this place will get a new owner to bring it back to its former glory.

This restaurant next to the important Worsley Delph is easily worth the trip out to Worsley. I had a wonderful French onion, soup and a tomato salad with burrata and both were prepared with great care and aesthetic feeling. Only one hint for improvement: a burrata salad cries for a good olive oil. But nonetheless: Don’t miss this!

Went out for a few cocktails and a bite to eat with my friends a few weeks ago. The staff were really friendly and helpful and gave us great cocktail recommendations, which were lovely. We shared a few bits like the chicken wings, kofta and flatbread which were all delicious. It was a great night. Will definitely be coming more often!

We go to the Delph regular for work lunch & I can’t fault it. The service & food is always bang on. Lizzy the young lady who served today is very polite & attentive always smiling. I attended here on a first date having booked a few days previously and was sent a text confirmation. Upon arrival we were sat down in the room, only to be told 5 mins later that the chef had gone home. I got the feeling that as we arrived later on the kitchen had started their clean up. If the chef had gone I would have expected a phone call before we got our taxis to the venue. I have put 3 stars on for food as I believe it is good there but I wouldn't know.

This is a nice place for a spot of lunch. It’s a little on the pricey side but the food is generally very nice, apart from the falafel flatbread which is too dry and needs a more exiting salad to accompany it - not just a few leaves.

We recently celebrated a family event at The Delph. The care and kindness that surrounded the planning of the event and on the day itself was fantastic. Natalie was so helpful with other requirements and nothing was too much. The staff and the lovely Carla were so professional, respectful and kind that I won't hesistate to use the venue again. The guests all commented on the food. the venue and the staff. What was nice to see was their respectful attitude to their neighbour's and surroundings. Well done Natalie and team.

Where to start.... We went to The Delph on fathers Day in a group of 8 people. We had to ask a number of times and replace drinks orders as they were being forgotten about. Nobody came and took our food order as again were forgotten about. We had to grab a member of staff passing and ask if we could order over an hour after sitting down. A few different meals/ingredients on the menu were not available, Sunday dinner being one of them. Then, when we finally did get our food, 2 peoples were totally forgotten about, and also, some sides were missing. Again, only when we pulled someone on it was it realised by the staff. They did offer to make them afterwards, but we declined as by this point, everyone just wanted to leave. The food we received was nice but the service was one of the worst I have ever Encountered. They did not look or seem short staffed it was just down to really poor planning. Also, we were not the only ones on the day to have issues like this.

Dreadful. We were told there was a 40 minute wait, which was fine. We actually waited well over an hour and chased the order order up twice. I had the hummus and roasted red pepper sandwich. It was the most disappointing and sad sandwich I've ever seen. Curly cheap brown bread, uncooked red peppers with a smattering of hummus. Date 11/ 3/23. It was like being on Faulty Towers. We were given a table and told menus were coming. Eventually went and reminded them for menus. Ordered 5 drinks a coke, 2 beers, an orange and lemonade and drinking chocolate and our food. After approx 25 min we received a drinking chocolate and an orange juice. Pointed out this was the wrong drink, they replaced the orange juice with the orange and lemonade. Great. 15 mins after this the other drinks arrived , 2 beers a coke and a lemonade!, Lemonade sent back . 15 min after this an orange juice and drinking chocolate arrived sent back as we had received our drinks order. After waiting 1.5 hours for our food (other people who had arrived after us already eating) One of our group went up to ask what was happening only for the manager to come to our table and be told the kitchen was closed and they weren't Serving food, apologies but the drinks were on the house. I don't think we've laughed so much at a shambles. Lovely place shame about the disorganised service. Even the poor waitress was rolling her eyes.

Went for breakfast. We ordered our drinks for then to be told they'd run out of bread. They offered a substitute for something else, like an extra sausage, so that was nice. Egg portion was too small and overcooked. Mushrooms weren't seasoned right, and the toasted breakfast muffin didn't appear to be toasted at all. It was a really lovely location and I enjoyed the food. I had a simple cheese and onion sandwich, my partner the ‘posh fish finger butty’. I’ve knocked off a couple of stars because of 2 things: the price was very high - we had two sandwiches and a plate of hummus and it was quite expensive. The other was that we waited ¾ hour for two sandwiches… I’m not a good cook but I could have rustled up two sandwiches in less than 45 minutes. Plus they even waited until 20 minutes before bringing small pieces of flatbread and a hummus. So it’s a nice spot, the food was very tasty - but it wasn’t worth the money and the wait was bizarrely long (on such a quiet day as well)

So we booked a table at The Delph for New Year’s Eve. Table was booked for 20:30 and we had to wait as our table wasn’t ready , they had a DJ playing music very loud over the restaurant area and we could hardly hear...

After running out of some of the dishes on the menu, there was a significant wait for our food (45min). After that the wrong food was served and we were told it'd be another 30 minutes to redo. Empty glasses were just left on table throughout. Overall quite poor service, do yourself a favour and avoid. Plenty of nicer places to dine in the area.
