The Deep in Leeds

A friend recommended we try out this fish shop. The new owners have only been there a few months. Very chatty friendly couple. Waited about 15 mins , as fish was cooked fresh but it was cooked perfectly and was a really good portion. Big fat flakes if fish crunchy batter, just delicious. There is parking outside but not always any available so be prepared to park a bit away or walk there. Very much worth it though.

I’m a regular and picky about my fish n chips so was a little concerned when it changed hands. Thankfully the food is still Spot on and good value for money. You have to wait while the fish is cooked to order which is fine by me.

Terrible food , soggy greasy chips , thick batter , the fish tasted funny and the curry sauce was really watery . Tea went in the bin , worst fish and chips ever , won't be visiting again .

Went this evening to get some food and they lady serving was absolutely lovely really friendly, the food was the best fish and chips I’ve had! Amazing

Brilliant little fish shop which is a great business ...having a bad time at moment with a string of break ins so I am sure they would fully appreciate anyone going in and using there business food is really nice and the couple that run it are friendly and service is great

Just love the food from here, always fresh & hot. The fishcakes (had both luxury & standard) and I can quite honestly say they are the best fishcakes I've had.

Impressed is an understatement, fish and chips are excellent, service excellent everyone is treated as their friend, trust me if you visit them you’ll definitely become a regular.

Go here regularly. Good, varied menu, fish is fried on order so it hasn't been sat waiting for long. Very large portions of nice, crispy chips with good scraps if requested if such (*non -fattening of course* ha ha!!!) things can be mentioned. Food well cooked and very enjoyable.

The fish is the real star of the show. I also had a luxury fish cake which was nice but not as nice as the fish and chips. Good prices and massive portions!

Good classic fish and chips, only downside is the amount of grease. But that is to be expected!

Chips to die 4 best I've had in years golden crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside wot more can you say cooked in beef dripping took me back to.my youth nothing less than perfect chips how they should be in my opinion can t wait to go back and try the fish

Went today for the first time and have to say they were probably the best fish and chips I've had for a long time. Fish freshly cooked upon ordering. Very friendly staff. Will be our new regular from now on 😁

We were just passing and called in to try. The chicken nuggets are superb as are the fish cakes and curry. Really friendly owners with superb customer service we will be back for more.

For all you fish and chip lovers I can guarantee you that all food is fried in the highest quality vegetable oil, unfortunately this is cross contaminated by frying his sausages in the same oil/fryers! Sorry for all you vegetarians out there who have already tasted it. as for all our BEEF DRIP LOVERS you need to get your taste buds tested! Try changing your toothpaste!

A lovely local chippy, great service and very tasty, freshly cooked chips. The prices are very reasonable. I only wish it was open longer!

Before the review I must add that I feel for this place as a sink hole has appeared right outside. Having said that we live nearby and got fish and chips with curry sauce and mushy peas. The fish was over cooked and the chips were almost raw in the middle. The whole lot had a wierd after taste.

Very tasty large portions of fish and chips. Being local to this fish and chip shop, I can see me calling in there on the way home from work fairly often. The locality of the bus stop may not be good for my waistline.
