We had a lovely stay at the Darnley, which is a short walk from the the the town and harbour, our room was spotless, breakfast was good and tasty. The owners Paul and Lorinda are a great couple,so nice to have met them, wish you all the best in the future guys Would definitely recommend a stay there Phil and Alison

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. Rooms were spotlessly clean. Dogs made very welcome. Lovely breakfast. The owners were super helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend a stay here.

If you want slow service? then this is the place for you! If you want to be ignored until your food is eventually shoved across the counter with no eye contact? Then this is the place for you! Want ice cold coffee that you have to Microwave? Then have it your way! If you want a mediocre meal for 50% more than you'd pay at McDonald's, then come to BK!

If you prefer DELICIOUS AUTNÉNTICO Mexican (with responsibly sourced ingredients) over hipster-hype Mexican just a few steps up Tellie, then you’ll LOVE LA CALACA LOCA !! So fun to say :) Everyone who works there is kind and friendly and if you ever need a bit of catering, THIS IS THE PLACE !! Sure, they went above and beyond to be more sustainable and plastic landfill conscious, but the food? My staff from all over Oakland, Richmond and El Sobrante were impressed by the distinct flavors and offerings…it was the perfect introduction to the Temescal neighborhood!! Highlights: restrained, piquant cheese mushroom quesadillas; just-done perfectly cooked shrimp; crispy Baja fish anything; sublime ensaladas; and try blending fresh agua frescas!!

My daughter and I created a lifetime memory because of Charlie’s beautiful horses. We rode through an amazing variety of open expanses with wild Exmoor ponies in close view to the intimate valley setting for the novel of Lorna Doone. We saw the ruins of a medieval village and wondered about life so long ago. Charlie is in love with this wild place and will give you a delightful tour. She is fun and makes you feel special!
