Order from literally any other takeaway in the town that does pizza and you'll be better off. This was so bad an not like the Papa Johns I've had at other locations. The pizza with spicy beef and sausage tasted like cleaning chemicals. None of it felt fresh. The potato tots were undercooked and inedible. No chance I'll eat from here again.

they said it was delivered but it wasn't. I rang the shop and they said it was on its way but it has failed to turn up so far. half an hour late. I expect better.

Ordered regular stuffed crust, got served a vegan stuffed crust pizza which was vile and gave me stomach issues. Also got served vegan garlic dip even though I ordered the regular one. If you’re running you of stock, just tell me and I’ll go somewhere else. Absolutely disgusting.

Had to leave a review for Barnstaple Papa Johns now it's under new management. 10/10! Really fresh, really tasty, not dripping with grease! I'd say these pizza's are the nicest available in Barnstaple now. I use the app to order with no issues. I hope others will also leave some positive reviews as I'd be disappointed if they have to close due to lack of patrons.

Since the new management has taken over, this place has done a full 180. The food is hot, and correct. Delivered in a timely manner. And the atmosphere is very friendly when you walk in.

Really gutted love papa johns pizzas but ordered tonight and ended up with both pizzas not what we ordered and the person I spoke to on the phone made out I was lying to him

Dear oh dear oh dear! After being closed for over a year the store has reopened, first they cannot spell the name of our town correctly on their flyers and then when ordering for collection on the app we find it it's totally divorced from reality! On arrival and pointing out the app says ready for collection we are informed our pizzas are just being made... over 20 mins later and still no pizza and now we can hear a discussion on what has gone wrong and why.. seems to have so many staff but no one in charge and no clue who has done what on the line. Keep up like this and you may as well close again..

Multiple bad experiences, I keep ordering though as the food is 10/10, just the worst service. They mute their phone so they don’t have to answer it They accept delivery orders without having an actual delivery driver, then don’t contact you to let you know, I went in to collect it in the end, 45 minutes after it said it was about to be sent out to be delivered, therefore it was freezing cold. No refund or anything Orders accepted on the app when the store is shut, the tracker shows it being made, it just never gets delivered, no notification that the store is actually closed, had to wait two weeks to receive the refund, and I was having to chase it with their HO via email. Orders taking almost 2 hours to be delivered, from 0.3 miles away, for two pizzas. Late orders are the standard unfortunately, about 45 minutes later than told is good for them. The staff in there are clueless. I went in one night to collect an order and a random woman in her own clothes, who was stood on the customer side of the counter went behind it to help one teenage girl who was running the place by herself as she was completely overwhelmed. Orders of XXL pizzas, which are actually an XL at a push This place is an absolute joke, I could go on and on about the laughable experiences I’ve had

No food received after 2hrs waiting. Unable to get through to the store.

Ordered pizza and when I went to pick it up the store was closed with no reason as to why! Was charged and was given no prior warning and/or reason. This happened Wednesday 29th March 2023, 19:30. Avoid them like the plague!

Order never arrived and no communication from store as to why. Tried calling several times and no answer. Money has not been refunded either!

Dont bother ordering via just eat you wont get your order and they wont answer the phone.

Lack of menu items. Poor customer service

Very poor. We ordered on the app for collection, and when the app said our food was in the oven we walked across. Upon arrival we were told that our order hadn't been started as one of the items was out of stock, so we agreed to change, and we're told it would be 10-15 minutes for our food. 15 minutes later, we were told that another item was out of stock and had to change again, but for some reason all the other food had been cooked and was sat waiting.. Why did they update the all to say food was cooking, why did no one call us, and why did they cook all the food before telling us about another missing stock item? It's because the people here just don't care. I will definitely not be coming back here.

We Never got the food I ordered from them twice and nothing very very disappointed n anoyed ... and we tryed call the restaurant 4 times n thay can't be bothered to pick up the phone. The Worst experience 😪 won't be ordering from them Ever again!!... and be telling friends and everyone not to bother with Papa John's.. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!!.... if I could I would of GIVE IT 0 star. N We just about managed to get our money back after some argument. Total Wast of time!!!!.

Dont bother wasting your mo ey. We spent £56 on two pizzas and a dessert. Ordered it at 8:30pm and still waiting for it to be delivered. Its now 10:40. We have been ringing constantly and no one is picking up! They close at 11 so guess we are going hungry tonight 🤬

Last delivered over 1 hour late. We gave them the benefit of the doubt this evening and ordered again. The website showed they were open, we placed an order for 7.30 (at 5.30). There was no sign of it by 7.50, so decided to drive and collect, in case it was over an hour again. Got there and they were closed! Save your time and energy and spend your money elsewhere.

Best pizza delivery in Barnstaple. They get busy, so reheating is sometimes necessary.

I didn't know whether to state it as a breakfast or tea . Ordered at 1825 and still awaiting at 2100 for the delivery . Don't know whether to chuck something in the oven or await the ghost delivery . Not even a courtesy call to say we can't manage to do your delivery Shame you can't deliver as quick as you take my money out . Tried calling but no answer For a newbee to town we thought we would give you a chance ..overall ..without swearing, smells like driving past Ashford treatment works on the dual carriageway . Trying to restrain from my language !!!

Disgusting, the box was filled with grease, the bacon was just fat. The pizzas turned up squashed. Never again.

Placed my order the girl was nice on the phone but the Delivery service was so poor took around two hours to come I was told he would be another 15 minutes due to stuck in traffic time the pizza got here was cold!

Ordered a vegan pizza and it had normal cheese on it and missed toppings. I didn’t realise until I got home and I live 10 miles away. Luckily I’m a vegetarian so could still eat the pizza but if you’re vegan this would be a problem. Seems like they don’t pay much attention to what they’re doing!

Lovely hot food that was delivered on time but one thing was missing and that was the drink i ordered and when i rang them to complain no one answered

Delivery took an hour and a half! If known would of gone else where. Rang after waiting an hour. Girl on the phone was lovely and informed me that they only had 1 driver on. (Sort it out management) Some food arrived cold like it came out the fridge and the rest was like warm. Was so hungry we ate it anyway

Don't waste your time. Your order will never arrive. We waited two hours for ours and rang the store twice asking where our food was. It came out of the oven, according to the app, at 1816 and then sat there for over two hours. When I asked for a refund, I was told the store doesn't offer them so did a claim back through PayPal. Honestly avoid at all costs and stick to Dominos or Pizza Hut.

Will give 0 if could. very thick crust like stone bread not very teasty. cheep tomato sos and others tippings . horrible yellow garlic sauce 😝 what have nothing to do with garlic . Not worth it money .

The pizza in my opinion is spot on but the delivery service is a joke. When you phone the store to find out why you have been waiting over an hour, it seems likely you will be lied to.

Ordered through just eat, didn't show up. Called the restaurant and told its here but there are no just eat drivers and I should have ordered through their app as their driver would have delivered. Their driver then turned up, an hour late, very apologetic and said they didn't realise I should be delivering. By this time had cancelled and ordered elsewhere. Then they were taken off of the Just Eat site. Papa Jokes.

Ordered food at 17:10... it's 19:55 AND still no food has been delivered. Was told several times our order was ready, then it was going in the oven and would be 20 mins... that was 36 mins ago. Manager has offered us a free meal but now have a family starving hungry and still no food in sight. Unacceptable service to leave people hungry for food for so long. Coming up on 3 hrs since order was made. (Update) Wife went to the restaurant and collected pizza - driver was just leaving with order, a good 50 mins from when we were told it'd be cooked in 20 mins. Order was not correct pizza was cold, was missing a side order. Pizza more or less unrecognizable, but only seemed to get part of our order correct. Chicken over done and dry as a bone. Not sure what went wrong, but this is a HARD pass for me - not even sure I'll claim my free meal, it was that BAD! My advice is, DO NOT order from here. Can get nicer pizza for less money, and it'll arrive on time. For chain fast food, better off with Domino's or Pizza Hut. Back in again this weekend for me free meal. Went with pickup this time so far seems to be much better. Manager of store was off last Friday and this apparently is why it all went wrong. Order went okay. Slight mix up with the order but was able to sort it very quickly before leaving. Staff were friendly and nice. Pizza was good, but not better than others we have had from other restaurants in my opinion - guess Papa John's just not for us.

Best pizza in North devon hands down. Dominos and pizza hut have serious competition highly recommend!! Only one wish. You delivered to Chivenor there are barely any takeaways delivering to this area and there's a lot of greedy soldiers here that are hungry.

Ordered over 2 hours ago. Keep getting told it’s nearly ready to then be told 20 minutes. £30 is bad enough for pizza let alone the 2 hour wait

Slowest delivery ever more than an hour wait for a pizza

The food was delicious. They were horrendously busy, so the wait to get it, was a drag, but the staff were pleasant and worked hard to fulfil all the orders.

Ordered through UberEats, the poor driver waited at the restaurant for 1h30m, only for Papa Johns Barnstaple to cancel the order after 2hrs of waiting. Really feel sorry for the delivery driver, who could have earned money from multiple other orders. Papa Johns kept putting the phone down when trying to reach them and when we did, were rude and unapologetic. First time I ordered from them. Never again!

First Pizza from these guys will definitely be returning great taste and service
