The Cwtch Coffee Bar in Rhondda Cynon Taf

This is a lovely spot in Tonypandy to have a coffee, a piece of cake and to relax and chat. Good coffee served by friendly staff

I go in every Saturday morning while my kids are in an autism therapy group. Lovely bunch of girls working there, all very friendly and chatty, foods great, WiFi works really well. ...and they saved my mother's day blushes with nice afternoon tea box today. Great spot, love going there.

I love this place. They have doorstep bread - perfect with their delicious, freshly cooked breakfasts, with something for everyone. I have the slimmers breakfast which is sun free, on slimming world! Result! Their freshly made cakes are unreal, with lemon drizzle, carrot cake and chocolate fudge cake, to name but a few. You can pre-book afternoon tea, here (there is seating upstairs, if they’re full downstairs - they’re popular and people come from miles around for the friendly greetings and delicious food). They’re making cheesecake filled Easter eggs at the moment and the only disappointment is they aren’t syn-free, too! A great range of coffees and milkshakes. My personal (non-dieting!) favourite is chips with their huuuge slices of bread. My mouth is watering, at the thought! If your calorie intake doesn’t quite stretch to chips, try their jacket potatoes, served with salad - they’ll keep you full for a week! (Ok so that’s an exaggeration but they are huge and honestly amazing!)

Was really looking forward to trying the catch however the cheese ham and onion toastie was tasteless with ham which I think came from a ring and no taste to the cheese my daughter had their breakfadtvbacin was full of fatty rind and very pale in colour with no taste will not be returning

Finally got around to coming here for breakfast. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the downstairs is done up nicely. The food was really good and of good quality... you get a lot for your money and me and my boyfriend both left with full bellies and happy. I can’t wait to come back and try the cakes, if only I had had room this morning. Will be returning and recommend

Very clean and tidy cafe with friendly staff makes this place an ideal place to meet up and have a coffee or meal...breakfast is excellent and coffee delicious....well worth a visit

Rushed but helpful staff. Bacon sandwich was poor, half eaten . Takeaway cappuccino was tasteless, threw it away.

This is a very cosy and friendly café with good snacks, cakes and beverages. We had the Welsh rarebit (what else, when in Wales?) and it was good and tasty. It's clearly a popular spot with locals, so get in early for your lunch, morning coffee or afternoon tea. By the way, the world 'cwtch' can mean either a cuddle or a place of cosy refuge. This place seems to offer both!

My wife and I often go here for food The staff are very nice and friendly The food is always excellent popping you will not be disappointed

The minute we walked through the door we were greeted with a really warm welcome, the atmosphere was great. The service was really good and we did not have to wait long before our food I arrived. My friend had the Brie Panini served with a side salad and I decided to have an old fashioned favourite of mine, sausage, egg and chips. The egg was nice and 'dippy' and I thoroughly enjoyed every mouthful. Cannot wait to go back...Well done Ladies x

Lovely atmosphere, staff were chatty and having fun, they even took the time to find out if the flavoured teas were decaff or not (they weren't for future reference) They do sell plain decaff tea. Dad opted for an Americano. Plenty of seating areas. Window seat nice and bright. Even seating outside but the weather was poor. Delicious lemon cake, sweet and airy with the right amount of cream and lemon curd in the centre. Served with a portion of squirty cream on a slate platter nice touch. Teas very reasonable at a £1 cake a bit more at £2.50 a slice. They offer a cream tea of a sandwich a cake and tea or coffee under £6 each. No booking required. Booking advised for the afternoon tea. Toilets upstairs (didn't use them), good menu options have been advised by friends the breakfast is good

If you want a meal in tonypandy go here the staff are fantastic .the food is all freshly cooked for you and there is a comunity feel about the cafe allways a freindly welcome id recommend the cwch to anyone welldone all

Looking for real welsh food, come here! Very friendly staff and great atmosphere. This small cafe offers all kinds of stuff but we came for hearty Corned Beef Pie with chips. So good!

We recently moved into a house just across the road for here, so part of me was hoping it wouldnt be good (therefore making it easier to give into temptation!) But alas this place is great, staff are great, food was lovely and the toast............. Oh my god the toas is just delicious!!!!! Its worth venturing out of the house for the toast alone!

I work just down the road and have takeaway from here quite often. Their breakfast in a box is delicious. Staff are really friendly and i've always had eccellent service. I't always quite full so they must be doing somethin right. Will contine to go there in the future.

While visiting friends, we took a trip to Abergavenny, and stopped for lunch at this delightful and very busy Cafe. It's a great spot to sit at one of the outside tables and catch the flavour of the town. The staff were amazingly friendly and welcoming (we even got the email of one of the staff who wants to come to Canada to check it out, so we provided her with a few tips). The food was delicious, my Ham, Brie and Cranberry Panini was so tasty and the Cappuccino was just brilliant. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area!

I'm really pleased this cafe is doing so well because it deserves to be successful. The service is always friendly, the coffee better than most of the well known chains, but the star for me are their breakfasts! They don't skimp on the quality of the ingredients and they're always cooked to perfection and piping hot. Thick buttered toast, bacon, sausages, black pudding, mushrooms, tomatoes (or baked beans or half and half) plus hash brown, a lush cup of coffee - and all for less than a fiver! Da iawn Cwtch - excellent!

The cafe is located just past the top end of the pedestrian area of Tonypandy. I tried this cafe as a venue for a reunion with an old school pal. The cafe was local for him but slightly out of the way for me. There's a bus stop very close to the cafe which is useful. The staff were helpful and friendly with a good atmosphere and the cakes and home made pie looked very appealing.Did not look at the star rating and whether there's toilet facilities. I will visit again and update the review.

We popped in on a Saturday afternoon for coffee and cake, and were very impressed with the service, prices, and high quality. The people serving were very pleasant, and prompt with their service. We will definitely be going back, especially as the meals looked very inviting also.

Popped in whilst shopping. Cheese and beans on toast was awesome-really thick cut bread, lashings of butter, beans and mound of cheese-amazing! Really satisfying comfort food. Baguettes, breakfast and Panini's were also fab on a previous visit. Lovely café, friendly staff, great value for money, will definitely go again.

My husband and I had a breakfast for the first time. It was really lovely. Definitely excellent value for money. Small breakfast with toast is £3.00, large breakfast is £4.95 and Big Blokes Breakfast is £5.95. Generous portions and food really tasty. Excellent mug of tea (additional) was perfect.Seating downstairs and upstairs but very popular, so recommend getting there early.

A very good quality breakfast, cooked to order perfectly, with top notch ingredients. Everything was piping hot from the toast to the mug of tea. Good value and extremely friendly staff. Excellent!

My partner and I paid The Cwtch a visit on Saturday morning and though they were packed to the rafters the service was quick, the staff were friendly and the breakfast was amazing. My partner travels a lot and is somewhat an expert on breakfast, he could not fault The Cwtch breakfast with generous portions of good quality ingredients and as he said when it was delivered to the table by a friendly waitress it was still hot. The homemade cakes looked amazing but as we were too full we decided to take a couple of slices home. Again these tasted as good as they looked we will definitely be returning, thanks to the staff at The Cwtch for getting it so right
