Friendly staff and clearly a locals' establishment. Intimidating, bad and aggressive language in abundance. Food looked very average and lower-end pub fare. Had a drink & left as not for us. The whole town is very dour and dishevelled.

Stumbled across this pub whilst in Melton. Seating area outside - clean from the front of the building. Pool table downstairs and more upstairs. Good priced food and drinks. Staff helpful and friendly. Good sized bar - Clean toilets Good offers on market days place was full.

I wanted to watch a football game on Sky, I checked their website and it displayed 3 games. I went early to ensure the game was on. When I arrived the big screen was displaying the game I wanted to see so I got a drink and settled down. Not long after another customer came in and asked for a different game. I told the staff member I was already watching this game. She came back and said that the other was more popular and asked me to move to a booth where I could watch my game. I was not happy about this but accepted the decision and moved. My wife joined me shortly after and we ordered meals and further drinks. Towards the end of the game channels were changed so that incoming customers could watch the Rugby. I was already watching my game and missed the last 15 minutes and 2 goals. The way the lady spoke to me was so patronising it was unbelievable. She said my game wasn't advertised, she obviously didn't check the website. I was there before the newcomers and to change channels before a game is finished is a disgraceful way to treat a paying customer. I for one will never set foot in the place again.

Okay, full of youths. As the night got later, the crowd got younger and the outfits more skimpy. Chain type pub, no character. Disabled toilets grotty. If you're a chav and like Carling, this place is perfect.

Ordered at the table using the app ,Drinks arrived within 5 minutes and the food arrived piping hot just a couple of minutes later .Staff are polite and friendly. Will definitely visit again.

Was a lovely meal, quick service and staff were friendly. Leanne was fab, friendly and helpful. Will def come back again.

Without the fact I had an accident (in the street walking to pub) and staff went out of their way to help me, the pub was a great find. Dog friendly. Lovely food and lots of choice plus a happy hubby who was able to watch his favourite footie team live. Thank you so much for making what started as a bit of an upset re my fall into an enjoyable night and for being so supportive.

It's my 3rd visit here,i come from Stamford and it's always a nice welcoming when i go,great food too and lovely friendly staff.

We came for a booking, a birthday dinner with my family. We were served by a lovely lady who couldn’t do enough for us throughout our dinner,,The food was excellent, unfortunately didn’t get the chefs names but the food looked great and tasted amazing. We will be coming back again.

What can I say? Amazing service and food. Ayla was incredible. Attentive, welcoming, friendly. I didn’t even know I needed another beer until she noticed I was nursing a drink that had less than two fingers left in it. We had a minor incident,(not the fault of the pub but one of the punters was causing a distress) and she immediately dealt with it, professionally and compassionately towards the individual. She is an asset to the pub. Wholly recommend this fantastic venue. Dog friendly and children friendly too. Second to none service.

Excellent customer service, looked after us very well! Only problem was the 4 pieces of small scampi for £2, feel like there should have been a few more pieces for the money. Other than that a great meal!

We went for an easy lunch with friends and all our kids on New Year's Day. The staff were brilliantly friendly and accommodating of our large party. The traditional-style pub grub food was very tasty and exactly what we needed / wanted after a big New Year's Eve! Big thanks to Cordelia, Paul and Leanne - great, attentive, friendly and super-helpful service. We'll definitely be back!

Had a breakfast with friends food was good, staff were friendly and helpful.

We recently tried the new bottomless brunch option on Saturday night and us girls had the best evening, when we arrived we had glittery party hats, light up glasses to wear and of course with it being December we had crackers to pull, Sean looked after us for the 2hrs we were there and he was brilliant, he made sure the drinks kept flowing and that we enjoyed ourselves, the food menu was good but could be better but over all a very good and enjoyable evening was had by everyone, we will defo book another one as it’s worth the money :)

The staff here are bloody brilliant. The bottomless brunch is excellent value for money. It's an absolute must visit if you're in Melton Mowbray.

The place looks good and it nice inside with entertainment but the food is not good at all we had two chicken wraps and baguette melts that were not melted or warm they were cold and also we had a even bigger breakfast with hashbrowns, sausage and bacon is cooked enough and my personal self had a mixed gril the gammon was bland with no taste and the chicken was stone cold and steak wasn't too bad but disappointed is a understatement and the service was poor we tried to get servers attention twice and was blanked and it just felt depressing it wasn't nice so this why I give this a 2 star this is a genuine review it isn't good for food.

Had food and quite a few drinks then decided to stay and play darts really enjoyable. Good atmosphere. Food was really good. Beer was really cheap. Definitely be going back

Just a quick stop off whilst in town . Good relaxed atmosphere and quite busy during a Thursday lunch. Quick, friendly service.

Ordered the cheese and bacon toastie, never have I had a toastie that’s been fried in oil, and hardly any cheese or bacon, mentioned to the waitress who then ignored us for the rest of the time we were I there, will not be going again, also the rest of the family won’t be going either, disgusting service from the waitress.

Thursday is Karoke evening attracting some very good singers. Sunday there is a Pub Quiz. Nice seating area when the sun is shining.

loads of tv's everywhere. Great staff, real ale spot on with loyalty cards given without asking.

Great suntrap when we are blessed with sun. Beer n grub ok, typical for a chain pub. Dogs inside are a put off for me.

Came for dinner after being at twin lakes all day. 4 adults 5 kids. Had such great food and amazing service from Becca and Kian. Will be coming back again. Thank you. Lauren.

Went there for an early dinner before the Cinema..Ordered food from the usual 'corporate pub' menu. Had to ask for a cloth to wipe down the sticky table. 2 huge tv screens with cricket and football going alongside the piped in music. Food arrived promptly and was not that good. Spicy mayo blew my brains out and the onion rings were greasy. grilled tomatoes were raw and peas not cooked Not somewhere we would go again.

Family meal for a birthday celebration. Great food and service - Cordelia and Paul were really welcoming, looked after us and made sure we had a lovely evening.

I'm a frequent guest not to brag :) Great service and atmosphere, but unfortunately new menu is not the best. Tried 3 or 4 dishes and it wasn't even close to what it was before. I really liked your old menu but just loved Chicken Wings in Carolina Reaper Black Pepper sauce that was epic!!! Tried tons of chicken wings across all country and that was NO. 1! Miss is a lot :(

Went here Sunday afternoon for some lunch and drink was nice. service by the guy with glasses running around taking multiple orders at once was fantastic even having 2 seconds of making a joke about his poor choice of black shirt couldn't of asked more from him however the 2 ladies that didn't support him was dreadful even one of these ladies found time to have a cigarette outside the front of the pub with a maixer shirt on so can spot the staff miles away but don't understand why no help was given. Anyway wont push me away service from the time of food and the gentleman on the floor we will make us return Tim

We visited for lunch and were really made to feel welcome. Adele served us, provided water and biscuits for our dog and nothing was too much trouble.

'No frills' - plenty of tv's for watching football. Typically quite quiet even on big match days, always a seat.

Warm welcome, very helpful, but that where it stops. The building is stunning. But sadly this seems no better than a Wetherspoons. We ordered coffee, Hot chocolate and two traditional breakfast’s minus bits plus one gluten free. The hot chocolate was cold, then breakfast arrived which was cold, cold. The butter was frozen and didn’t melt on my cold toast. It was cooked how I asked but that sadly is where it ends. Yes we should have complained BUT there was only one order in front of ours (as we went in just as doors opened) and only one order more when ours came out. Our thinking is if you can’t get it right when your that quiet then you don’t stand a chance. Anyway we left within minutes my husband knew he had been Gluten, we rushed to find public toilets. There lyes another story. Would we return sadly NO

The food is decent however the service is lovely i had two wonderful bartenders service me and my other half their names was cordelia and willow and its a lovely place to be with family and friends

Really enjoyed my burger, decent value at around £10 with a beer. Service was lovely from Cordelia who sorted a bowl of water for our dog.

We had a chicKen tikka massala curry and ice cream after and very nice it was

Lovely breakfast and good value. It is also dog friendly (dogs must be kept on leads, obviously). The lovely lady that was serving (Tues 27th Feb) brought over dog treats for our 'boys'and a bowl of water. We look forward to revisiting soon

I've eaten here before and enjoyed it but on my recent visit, it seems the portions are sizeable smaller then my last visit. I chose fish, chips and mushy peas. The fish was ok in size but the portion of chips and peas were, to say the least, disappointing!

Went to watch LCFC, Enjoyed the service, also very cheap. Win win.

Definite Spoons vibe here with similar internal fittings and likewise similar sort of food offering. Pleasant enough place if you want a change from the Kettleby Cross.

Polite staff who offer a friendly service. Reasonably priced food that was delivered quickly, and was both tasty and hot. Dog-friendly with a nice atmosphere. All-around, a good place to visit.

Great place to go for new year celebrations.. Mostly young ppl but all we encountered were freindly.. Did a bit iffy after midnight.. But the place itself was spacious and can see on regular evening would a great place to have a meal and drink.. Door men(bouncers) were freindly to us.. Drinks were good price considering it was new celebrations..

I live in Melton & I gave this pub a try a year ago. The beer was bad then & its not a lot better now in Jan 24. I thought things may have got better, so I dropped in for a pint or 4 & something to eat. I asked for Tim Taylor's 'Landlord'. This should be a premium Pale Ale; it was premium dishwater. I asked for a different ale. That was terrible as well. I didn't want to try anything else, & walked out. They've just lost about £25 in lost custom today, & any future custom. I suspect both beers were a long, long way past the 'sell by'.

Visited on a really cold day sat down no heating on was freezing inside as well not very comfortable

Hit and miss with food ,good place to meet for drinks

As I walked in a I could tell it was a nice warm place to come. The staff were excellent very welcoming cordelia was such a fantastic host. She was very kind and freindly. The food was excellent too cook by Teresa. Overall a great experience. I would recommend this place 🙂

Myself and 6 friends went to the Cutting Room, Melton Mowbray today for a pre booked Christmas lunch. The meal was lovely and we were very well looked after. They had made the upstairs very festive for us. The waitress, Lucy was fabulous. She was going up and down the stairs fetching things for us with no complaint and full of smiles and fun. A lovely young lady. We are all going back in a couple of weeks.

Fantastic but I've never seen or had a breakfast like the one pictured. There's no breakfast that big menu or I would of ordered it.

Very dirty restaurant. The tables are not cleaned, the chairs are dirty and the smell is bad.

My ordered dish was not available but it was quickly replaced with another dish at no additional cost which was served very quickly and was delicious. Service always friendly and a great range of food and drinks at competitive price which gives exceptionally good value for money.

My experience at the cutting room was wonderful and the service is lovely all staff are welcoming and there are two staff members that go over and above are Cordelia + Ayla.
