Good pub style atmosphere but quiet. Good home cooking with fresh produce. Welcoming and warm service (thanks to Keerthi and Sabina).

Good food. Great staff members, especially Lit. He is very helpful and polite and knowledgeable

Had our Christmas meal for lunch and it was very lovely. The staff was very attentive and the ambiance was very homey. The resto made extra effort to make the place look festive. The chef also went out to greet everyone dining in. Priced quite reasonable 👍

Came here for a date with my girlfriend we both were amazed with how beautiful the venue is and the kindness of the staff. We ordered a starter, main and dessert. For our starters we ordered the The ribs and the chicken wings we were both happy with our choice of these dishes as they were lovely. Moving on to our mains we ordered the lamb rumb and 10oz steak, the steak was delicious and juicy and served with tomatoes in the vine along with portobello mushrooms which were perfectly cooked. Instead of the fries I ordered mash which was a great choice as the mash was great and accompanied the steak perfectly. For the lamb rump the over all portion size was smaller then expected as my girlfriend enjoyed it, but the portion size is the downfall of this dish. Dessert was good we got the brownie with vanilla ice cream and the cherry Bakewell cheesecake. The brownie was ok but the vanilla ice cream was delicious and for the cheesecake I would recommend it was perfect for the size after having the steak for the main course.

We were there on a weeknight so it wasn't busy. Good food.

Wow! Love this place! Mostly because the staff are fantastic! Lucky as they are far more helpful than the hotel staff! They go all the way to help as needed. Breakfast is really fresh and great variety. They cook eggs, porridge and vegetarian sausages to order. They have a pancake machine that my daughter loved! Most importantly they are eco minded and happy to do more when asked...they are making fresh smoothies for you to have and taking it table to table. I was offered but in a paper cup. Whilst paper is better than plastic, reusable is still better so I said, no. He then offered me it in a real glass. I accepted gratefully. It was delicious! More importantly, the next morning I came down and he came over with the smoothie in a glass without question! I was thrilled as I don't like the guilt I have to feel with unnecessary packaging. So I thank you for this! They also have jam and honey etc, all in dispensers, no plastic pots and not even those small jam jars so this is great! We didn't eat anything else as we were out but breakfast is a huge win! Staff amazing and kids eat free too so that helps as well! Thanks guys!

Nice little bar with good bar / gastro pub type food. Attached to the hotel, so prices for food and drink may be a little higher than you’re used to reflecting that, for what is essentially a bar rather than a restaurant. Having said that, food was very good quality and arrived promptly. I had the lamb in the photo. Good atmosphere, light airy surroundings with a live acoustic Guitar vocalist which was great.

We were visiting as a couple and were told that the restaurant was open till 10.30pm and the bar was open until 12am. We got into the bar at 21.31pm, we sat ourselves, which was no problem, and my partner went to the bar to get drinks and menus, we ordered, and got told the restaurant shut at 21.30, but they'd ask the chef, as we queried when asked earlier, by Ibby, that the food stopped at 10.30pm. We were allowed to order, and our starter that we shared, was lovely (mushrooms? that's when it all went bad!! We both ordered medium-well Ribeye , as the pictures show this wasn't the case, we were told we were fitted in, chef was finished, the food showed this! our peppercorn was (as told) watered down. we complained, and were asked If we wanted gravy instead as they had no peppercorn?? next minute we had less watery peppercorn? after the jelly like rib-eye, and the less than adequate back of house excuses, the only silver lining was Holly the Front of house server, Shocking that she hould have to bare the brunt of EHO 1% grading, when she's giving 100%! as hospitality owners ourselves, we understand the issues, but there is never an excuse for watering down anything ?!

Lovely Venue, super chilled atmosphere. Bar staff extremely welcoming and friendly. Food and waiters service was EXCELLENT, great to see things done at a high standard now adays. I wish back home had a venue the same as this one. Thank you, if I return to Cardiff I'll be back.👍👍👍👍👍

It's decent food, but anything special. The service is impressive, though. Pizzas are great quality, but the taste could be better.

Just popped in for food on way home, as usual the most friendly staff possible.

Attempted to book a table there. Tel no on their website was the hotel one which took several minutes to be answered. I was then told that I would be transferred to the restaurant. Having held on waiting for call to be answered I gave up!

Breakfast jam is in a dispenser and is awful. I appreciate plastic free but something like Wilkin and Sons Tiptree jam is glass and metal so fully recyclable.

We stayed at Novotel and the restaurant was awesome. Loved the staff.. specially Sabina and Lit and Catia. Kids love them and wanna visit them next year..

Ottimo ristorante, chiaramente gestito con passione dal personale che è evidente si preoccupi di ogni dettaglio. Porzioni abbondanti e qualità ottima. Super consigliato. Complimenti.

The food is reasonable for lunch. The staff however are really inexperienced and slow, they put me off going when im nearby. Expect for Lii, he was absolutely wonderful.

We had a decent dinner here, the friendly waiter greeted us on our way in (we were the only ones there at first) and ordered quickly. The food came out fast and we enjoyed drinks and watching some sports on the big screen TV. Kids ate pizza, husband at a burger and I had a steak salad (gluten free). All very average, hotel style food, not much to report on that end. The hotel breakfast buffet is in the same space. Kid friendly and fast. Our waiter was super friendly and attentive.

Amazing food and the people were so lovely! The price is a bit high but to be honest the food quality was amazing and so was the service for breakfast, lunch and dinner!

What a find ! Customer service goes a long way and this is the reason we have come back for the 2nd night of our stay here in Cardiff . Highly recommend and great value for money. 5* to Anthony , friendly and remembered us from our previous night dining here . 😌😌

First of all great food, yes abit pricey but the steak was amazing you would have paid more at Miller and Carter. Point number 2 the barman Anthony, what a guy! Great company, lovey bloke and Made us feel very welcome. Will definitely be coming back here. Live music on Thursday night which was also great. Can't complain about our meal and drink in this venue. Thanks again all!

We found this little gem around the corner from where we were staying in Cardiff & what a little find it was! The staff were so welcoming & we had the loveliest guy wait on us. He was so chatty, helpful & friendly! The food was delicious & I devoured every bit of it! Such a cosy atmosphere & really cool vibe & decor. We were delighted with this find & would love to visit again when we're back in Cardiff.

I visited The Customs Shed on the 26th Of Dec with a few friends as we were staying in the Novotel and was really pleased with the service. The food was absolutely lovely, you definitely get what your pay for. And the staff were so friendly, we were served by Catia who couldn’t do enough for us, so we were very pleased! Thank you

Shocking service. They take drink order pretty fast but then just good luck waiting for food order. The girl just disappears second night in the row and the restaurant is not even full. Same was when asked for bill they just forget you there

Our family of 2 adults and 2 kids dined here for dinner while we stayed in Cardiff for 2 nights. Basically it was the most expensive restaurant we visited and the food didn't match the price at all. All our mains were tasty. I got a curry which tasted great. We ordered dessert and the sticky toffee pudding came out cold! Due to covid-19 restrictions, all meals and drinks were served on cardboard takeaway plates and drinks in plastic cups. This ruined it a bit - eating our meals out of boxes even though we dined in and paid lots. The restaurant did look nice and seems like it would usually have a nice vibe, but covid-19 has possibly greatly affected it.
