I ordered beef brisket fries and had literally no words when I got a bowl of chips with some sort of sauce with mince and peppers in it? There was so little of the mixture, and even within the sauce there was so little beef. It reminded me of that mince bolognese you get in a tin, but not as flavourful? So weird! I never want to bother anyone and the staff were really nice, but I'm very sad I just paid 7.50 for absolutely nothing even remotely related to beef brisket 😂 If you're thinking about eating here I wouldn't, but it looks decent for pints and student drinks deals.

Came here for Bottomless Brunch one Saturday. The service was great, Jed looked after us and he was quick with his service and making sure we were always topped up on drinks. Although the food was great I thought the portion sizes were a little on the small side. Would definitely recommend and will be back!

Came here for a bottomless brunch and had a lovely time. The food was lovely and filling, the staff were efficient and kept us stocked up with drinks. Jed who was serving us was amazing and helpful and made our experience very enjoyable, highly recommend if you fancy a bottomless or just some food and/or a pint in Cardiff.

We came for bottomless brunch and wow!! It was amazing, the food was great and the drinks were brilliant. The menu is superb with a great range of choices. Our experience was made to be amazing by our lovely host, Kate. She was attentive, friendly and just all round lovely. Will definitely be back!

Fix your pool tables. It’s not good charging people money to their cards if the balls don’t come out. I don’t think trading standards would be very happy. The third party vendor that you allow to operate in your business is basically robbing people at £2 a go. The person at the bar said they have to call maintenance for the tables daily. Edit: happy to change rating when this is fixed, otherwise a great pub.

Great pub, can get very busy! Contactless pool tables are a plus! and a good heated beer garden. Got kicked out of here five years ago for drinking underage. Lol!

Going back here remind me of my student days. Not much as changed, still a great pub with plenty of room and the service was great, didn't wait to get served

As busy pubs go, it has some of the best atmosphere. Perfect for students, but perfectly welcoming and tolerable for everyone else. During the day, the upstairs has a trendy coffee shop vibe in one half, and a more taproom, pub-like vibe in the other... Downstairs there's a games room and a very pleasant walled garden area that you can lose yourself in on a sunny afternoon. Decent beers, always at least a couple of casks, (and not all overhopped "crafty" beers, either) and some decent ciders. There's something for everyone, as long you don't mind being surrounded by dozens of (perfectly well-behaved) 20 year olds.

Great place to meet up with friends

Had a few pints, was in non student season - so quite to watch the rugby, which was great as I was in Cardiff to meet a friend. Great range of drinks and discovered the two pool tables down stairs. Good looked good, but was out for a drink and a chat. If your out in Cardiff for the rugby and it's not student season, honestly the place to be.
