Came out on a Saturday night for a few drinks with some friends, and boy was I not disappointed! They are currently running a cider promotion and have some fantastic flavours of cider available. They also had a fantastic band playing that everyone seemed to be enjoying, would definitely recommend anyone to visit this great place

First visit since the pub was refurbished, nice decor, excellent food at very reasonable prices. Good selection of real ale, friendly staff, we will be back........

Good priced food, service quick and friendly.

Popped in with the dog (they are allowed in the beer garden). The staff kindly gave her a big bucket of water whilst I sat and had a lovely cold drink.

My friends and I went to watch the semi finals at the pub..sometimes it can be rowdy and England being in latter stages of the tournament it's understandable, however the way Kate and the team handled this evening was fantastic. We had a trouble free, enjoyable and successful evening! Can't praise Kate enough, she's always got her pub and the residents best interest at heart and she was wearing a top dollar england shirt! Kate and her team with the security dealt so well with anyone who had drunk a bit too much..love this pub and would highly recommend for social events, drinks and food!

Awful pub. Went here to pick up some mates after an England game to make sure they got home safe and the manager came over aggressively shouting saying we were being too loud and that she has neighbours. I respect this having worked in a pub before but the beer garden was full of drunk loud people and no one else got picked on. We were in and out within minutes. A calm approach would’ve been nicer next time, just a friendly “Please just keep the noise down as we have neighbours” instead of absolutely booming over shouting. Does she shout at every taxi that picks up drunk people? Or did she just see an opportunity to shout at a young person picking up her mates? Not to mention the fact she was wearing a Great Britain flag as a dress for an ENGLAND game??

Just popped in to watch a bit of cricket during my lunch hour. Greeted by lovely bar stuff. Ordered my food which was cheap and decent. Watched England take a 4 wickets and back to work. A lovely hour spent in the pub.

Our local and I have to absolutely commend April she is a complete diamond and always makes me feel so welcome and goes to the extent of remembering my drink order. With other pubs in the area I’ll still choose cuckoo every time purely for the atmosphere and the wonderful bar staff! Thank you cuckoo pint for always being a good time!

Absolutely an amazing public house. The Landlady and Staff are brilliant always cheerful and smiley. I play darts on a Friday and always have a great evening. Also food is excellent and a fantastic price. One last thing the Landlady (Kate) doesn’t put up with any nonsense!

We regularly eat (& drink) at the cuckoo. The food is always lovely and the Kitchen staff always go above and beyond as I have food intolerances and my OH is fussy 🤣 We love that there is always something going on...Bingo,Quiz, Music, Sport...something for everyone. Overall a great place to be with lovely staff and atmosphere and the bonus is the outdoor space...Gorgeous garden and terrace area!

I have found the Pub has a good selection on it's Menu, Prices are reasonable, the Staff are Friendly and Helpful.

Went this Thursday for 2 gammon meals. Worst experience at this pub. Food was overcooked. Peas burned to death eggs solid and gammon tough. Very strange for this pub as usually excellent. The only girl serving coped well as the other girl not doing much to help the queue. Disappointing on this occasion.

Only pub I’ll walk in on my own. Friendly staff, great atmosphere, great pub. Highly recommend!

Absolutely disgusted with service we went in at 7-30 ordered food at 7-44 then waited with a18 month year old baby . Food come out after we asked the waiter at 8-55 , food was wrong and not hot the salad on one of the meals had obviously been left under the heat lamp , one meal was missing items and when spoke to the waiter he just said sorry and walked of and never come back with any of the missing items ..at 9 -15 he the waiter returned to say we had to leave as we had a baby after 9 o’clock we were still eating our meal ,, spoke to the manager on the night who said sorry and said did the little one want and ice cream ( remember it is now 9-21 ) absolutely disgusting service from waiter ,chef needs to go back to cooking lessons and checking the food before it leaves his kitchen also food had peas squashed in to it so obviously the chef need to really check his food he had cocked will not use this place again ,, possibly the company needs to spend money on staff training and not just on the building ( ps we have used this place loads of time but to be asked to leave by the waiter after waiting so long was a joke

Lovely atmosphere good pub food

Used this couple times in past before they closed for refit and it was very good. Then had a meal there last week and it was not as good. Will try again one day and maybe it was just a one of last time

Spacious table areas, with secluded areas and more open areas for football fans. The menu is standard Greene King fare, decent choices, good quality, well produced and inexpensive, with daily offers and also special deals for OAP. We opted for pie with mash and also scampi. Staff were outstanding, efficient, polite, friendly, always with a smile. Hope all goes well with planned refurbishment

The food was great. I ordered via the Greene King app from my table and was served within 10 minutes. I had the Hunters Chicken and my only complaint is that there weren’t enough onion rings. I drank the Carlsberg draught which tasted excellent and kept its head all the way to the bottom of the glass. This is a sport themed bar with many large tv screens, a pool table and dartboard. There’s a good selection of background music plus the pub runs various entertainment nights. The toilets were clean and everything worked plus the staff were all friendly even when the place got busy.

Lovely place, food large potions, service perfect. Lovely staff very friendly, a must to visit. Will be back for certain A must!

Always have a wonderful time at the Cuckoo, it's got the friendliest staff who really care that you are having a good time and a mix of sport and live music so you can't go wrong no matter which you prefer! New refurb looks crisp and sharp, food is always great and we love the atmosphere in there - it's always consistent no matter when you pop in or who looks after you! Best pub around!

Visited here for Sunday lunch following the refurbishment which looks fab. Toilets are amazing ~ and so nice to have a hand drier actually near the sinks ! Food quality was really good, served by the usual friendly staff. Really VFM prices too - Kate,Ian and Co should be really proud. Love the fact that dogs are not allowed inside the pub. I'm a dog owner but don't want to have that ' damp dog' smell when I'm eating.More then enough space outside in the garden - made even more welcoming with the heaters. All in all this is a little gem of a pub and we're so glad it's reopened with the same high standards.

The place and the food was absolutely gorgeous and even cheaper than similar nearby pubs. I m disabled and we were extremely impressed by Naomie`s efforts to help find us a suitable seat and she looked after us all evening. We shall be going there regularly from now on. Popped in for a quick one after work, and to see the new paint job. Still the same friendly welcome from Kate and her team, plus a much brighter venue to boot. Service was quick from both Ian and Nay, who in between serving at the bar and delivery food to tables, could be seen clearing and cleaning tables. Definitely worth coming back, the food looked good too!

Visited a few times with family over Xmas and New Year. They offer cheaper senior menus for my elderly parents which is great. Menu is extensive and the Fish and Chips is fantastic. The platter has battered sausage too. Crispy and dry super batter, burgers good. Great selection of beers although I have Guinness which is excellent. Honest with waiting times too if busy so you know in advance when ordering. Recommended for pleasant lunch or dinner. Friendly staff too.

Kate kindly let us hold the wake after our daughter's funeral during the week before Christmas. The staff were attentive and respectful and Kate and her team put on a wonderful buffet for us all. Nothing was too much trouble and we are truly grateful to Kate and her team for everything they have done to support us during this sad time in our lives.

Went on Friday, great atmosphere, great sport and TVs were loud enough, fantastic staff and service, great to see a Sports pub buzzing.

Football was on the TV very loud .People playing pool very loudly we couldn't hear ourselves talk .Wasn't a nice experience we left earlier than we normally wood there was 6 of us

Lovely pub looks bigger on the inside, friendly service at bar and the waitress very respectful of your boundaries. I had a meal with my dad who had lasagne whilst I had scampi on the 2 for less than £12 ! Well worth the money and good quality ingredients. Parking very easy on the side shared with the co-OP. Great atmosphere not too busy on a Saturday evening. Sports TV'S with pool table and darts board too.

I've been a local for the last 2 years and cannot fault the food or service. Love the atmosphere and as an example Kate the landlady even made sure the door was open for me to go outside so I didn't spill my drinks..by the way it was her day off! Love this place ❤️

Came for a quick meal out and was not disappointed, fair drinks and meal pricing as well as quick service, staff on the bar were very warm, welcoming and very helpful. The pub has a chill atmosphere as mostly younger people were in and around dining and drinking, I would definitely recommend bringing mates for a night out

Had lunch for 4 on bank holiday Monday. Food was lovely. Because the pub was really busy our food was slightly delayed. By way of an apology the landlady gave us all a free dessert. Great value for money, never had a bad meal and nice friendly atmosphere

3* in the summer as there are minimal amount of windows and absolutely NO AIR CONDITIONING. So when it is heaving inside, prepare sweat like crazy. It's more of a winter pub.

We are moving to this area shortly so were out and about noting what was around ,found the pub so went in ,as regular greene king visitors where we currently live were surprised as menu was varied from ours , ordered food to try something different and were happy with it ,staff were very friendly as we were new to the pub ,food was really good ,think we've just found our new local 😀

We go a few times a month for food and to watch the football. We sit in the children friendly are as i have a 14yo. The staff are always welcoming and helpful. Would highly recommend. Such a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Cuckoo fest was a fantastic day with so many talented artists. The pub was buzzing and the atmosphere was electric. Kate , Ian , and the team always make you welcome , and they work hard. They are all very friendly. This is my favourite Green King pub by far , and I wouldn’t change it 😎🍺 Tony B.

Yes - I know I visit here every week, but tonight is worthy of a special mention. Kate and the team provided a warm and friendly welcome as usual. But the star of the night was the food cooked by Iain. Hot, cooked to perfection and well presented. I totally recommend this gem of a local, friendly pub

We visited today for lunch, the food was very good along with an excellent welcome and service. This was our first visit but if we are in the area again we would defiantly visit again. Not sure what my wife did to the soap dispenser in the toilet and hope this doesn't mean we are banned :)

First visit to cuckoo pint,we were running a bit late for our booking so when i rang to explain, the gentleman who answered the phone was very nice and kept our table for us. We had the Chip Shop Platter which was extremely tasty ,good portions ,great price,excellent service and very friendly staff.We will definitely be going again.

We took some friends from Spain to the Cuckoo Pint for Dinner. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Our food arrived very quickly and was piping hot. The meal was exceptionally good value. We had a great evening.
