The Crown Inn in South Oxfordshire

On holiday the food was out of this world we had mussels burger fish and chips but omg try the pie seriously best pie on the planet. Also what wonderful young and talented staff and a brilliant front of house the man in the shirt ❤️

Great find, good food and drink selection, traditional pub setting and fairly priced. Staff went above and beyond, possible owner went out of his way to make my son feel welcome and was a great kids fish and chips portion with included choc brownie and ice cream for £9. Great value. The rest of the staff and waitresses were equally as welcoming and our waitress was fantastic with all of us. Very friendly, welcoming place with worthwhile food. Will definitely be visiting again soon for food or just a drink. Highly recommend.

Great overnight stay while walking the Thames Valley Path. Very friendly and welcoming landlord and staff. Really comfortable room and great food. Would highly recommend

Nice country pub good beer worth a visit

Great Sunday lunch. Good portion size. Plenty of veg, which I love. The only negative for me was the gravy, I believe there was quite a lot of pepper in there and that is not to my taste. The staff were lovely and very friendly landlord. Bonus today, live music as there was a party in the courtyard. Will definitely be back

Such a lovely place to have some food and drinks. My parents came to stay with us and we went for a roast dinner here. It was so lovely and the Brownie was amazing! Highly recommend coming here if you’re in the area!

Incorrectly charged at check-in, a mistake acknowledged by staff with a promise to refund my card. Despite numerous messages, no response and no refund.

Came for Sunday lunch today 24/11/2024, 5 of us dined. Service from all was impeccable 👌 Food absolutely divine and a good choice of drinks. Went with the 12 days porter by Hook brewery and has a wonderful hours.

Really enjoyed our dinner at ‘The Crown Inn’ - although some items were not available on the menu (and the menu was different in-person than it was online…) we thoroughly enjoyed the ‘Fish & Chips’ and ‘Pork Belly’ dishes. Service was sweet and the food was delivered quickly - The Crown Inn really is a lovely place for a weekday treat, especially in the cold, gloomy weather! We will definitely be returning soon.

We were here bank holiday Monday. Fish and chips ok, wife has “risotto”. It was a small dish of rice with tiny mushrooms and a bit of asparagus. It had no taste at all. Disgusting!

Slept wonderfully, good dinners and a perfect base for visiting various villages in the Cotswolds, Oxford and London!

We have recently moved to Benson. I cannot fault the service. The food is always amazing! The staff are very friendly. I cannot fault a thing.

Landlord is great food great plenty free car park go try there great food children welcome and pets

Haven't been in for a while and heard it had a new manager so thought we'd give it a go again! We were pleasantly surprised.... Great food, generous portions and we all fell in love with Jasper the dog. We definitely be back soon!

Beautiful place to stay..Staff very pleasant and helpful.Meals were very nice,rooms were very clean and comfortable bed.

We stayed for two nights at The Crown and it was lovely. The staff were very friendly , polite and also helpful. The room was extremely comfortable and warm , great bed , bath and walk in shower. The food was also excellent and they they must have a great chef.
