The Crown Inn in Rother

Happy friendly pub, young mixed going to be ramed with the football tonight but plenty of seating outside.....unfortunately not my choice....this time but loads of TVs...Probably one of the busy pubs in Rye, normally with locals after they have finished there shifts in other bars, restaurants etc🙂 but as above be wise guys....bigger pubs about....but enjoy....Come on England!!!! 🙂🙂🙂

Good beer free pool live bands cracking atmosphere 👌

A group of Chaps went their on a Friday lunchtime and had the best of times (5hrs). Session IPA was good. Pool was free. Duke box, a lovely sound system. Jess, a member of the barstaff, was excellent and provided a superb service.

Tasty food with ample portions & reasonable prices. The waiters are really lovely. Attentive without being intrusive. 2nd but not my last visit.

Popped in here for a drink as they had a nice archway that was nice and shady and cool for our dogs to chill out in

Some pubs are less than welcoming to outsiders. Not the Crown Inn. They specifically put a game on one screen for us and were incredibly welcoming and friendly. What a lovely bunch of people.

This place is the best unknown pub in Rye. Get in here and make new friends. 😁

Good bar, but not really a pub. Open until late with a standard range of beers and drinks. Everything at its place. Nice jukebox, which needs to be played.

Great Pub friendly staff really helped me out when I got stuck in Rye

After a day of exploring Rye, the shops, the pubs, the local cobbled streets, our last stop on the way back to our Airbnb was The Crown Inn. A rather spacious pub smothered in sporting goods, along with TVs playing.... Sports, you got it! The one bas associate working took our order and warned us when we also asked for a couple of Jagermeisters that they were very cold. We could clearly see on the machine that it stated minus 18 degrees. Fair enough, but then proceeded to laugh about people with sensitive or bad teeth struggling to drink it to another patron sat at the bar. There isn't much else I can really say, there's plenty of drinks to choose from, a pool table, a Harry Potter looking boy laughing about poor oral hygiene and that's about it. Despite only giving it 3 stars, I'd still go back here for a few cold Jagers but I can't think of anything that makes it worthy of a 4th...

Great for Live football, very friendly staff. Just wish the pub done something about the Flys in the pub. But still so much better than the missarable landlord and landlady of the Cinque Ports.....

The staff couldn't do enough for us. They put on a football match on a different screen just for us. Good priced drinks and a really good atmosphere. A sports fans must visit in Rye for a match

Good basic boozer. Staff really quick on the current table service only in place. Enjoyed watching a Euro 2020 game here.

Went on a weekend break to rye. Wanted too see champions league final and this was the place to go

I dont think it makes sense with an (almost) empty bar to have a filter stop sign on entering the bar...when it's full I understand...but not when it's empty. Also the Crown name should be lit up with lights...otherwise people might think it's shut. Just my opinion.

I ordered a Chinese takeaway from opposite and had a 20 minute wait so decided to have a quick drink . Good selection of beers and spirits. On arrival had our temperature taken. All tables were Cleaned and social distancing was fully in place. Friendly staff.

Great barman, temperature check on the way in (good to know we were all ok) lovely little courtyard out the back.

The staff here were great! I asked for a jukebox and they put the music on straight away. The pub allowed us to bring our takeaway food in and eat there due to covid and their kitchen being closed. I will definitely return here if I come back to Rye.

Yes is a local kind of place but clean throughout and strangers or occasional visitors made welcome.Perfect for Football or Rugby.Lovely lady Jeanette when we go Sundays.We are hythe and Bexhill residents

Very welcoming staff. Always happy to help. The room was perfect and it was in walking distance to the town centre! Would highly recommend and definitely come back again!

Love the atmosphere. Love the people. Staff are always extremely helpful, and always up for a talk. Sofas, bar-stools, dance floor, pool table, and beer garden... What else do you need? I went there during a recent football match (I don't watch it -- but my mate does soooo...) Needless to say. It was the right place to watch it!

Most of the beers were sold out strangely enough. Otherwise would have rated higher. Pub is clean has good tv’s for viewing sport. I watched the Manchester United game here. Atmosphere is good and lively with a young adults group of people all of which were local. Nice pub.

Always a good pint. Great atmosphere. Always feel welcome, great clientelle and friendly, professional bar staff. The Guinness is always bang on. A must for people visiting rye.
