The Crown Hunsdon in East Hertfordshire

A regular place where I take my visitors for a drink after flying at nearby airfield . The toilets are remarkable

Not a country pub, more like a men's work club with girl friends on tow. Unpleasant type of place, only few people in the pub but made enough noise for the whole village. The bar staff just join in all drinking extensively, being very rude and crude. Any other customers just got ignored. Dogs allowed to sit on the tables and eat off the floor. Just no control. Two men had a major row and near punch up.Not sure what was going on but no one seem to care. Take my advise avoid this pub.

We sat outside in the shade and enjoyed our coffee. It was served in good time, even though they were very busy. The coffee was good but not in the super category. Nevertheless, it was a very relaxed and restful stop.

We’d warned them in advance that 25-30 of us would be popping in for a pint and assured them we wouldn’t be eating. On arrival, there was only one member of bar staff so it took most of our lunch to get served! The pub itself is lovely inside and out, and I can imagine it’s packed in the summer with its extensive outside garden area.

But at least they had beer. And tea. It was unfortunate that the chef wasn't in today as a party of hungry walkers descended on the pub for lunch. Some managed on crisps/nuts. We nevertheless enjoyed the pleasant hospitality available, and the pregnant cat shared herself around, looking for cuddles. More hungry people went to the other pub nearby.

Este es un típico pub del campo en el centro del pueblo. El interior podría hacer con un poco de cuidado, pero todavía es bastante agradable. La bienvenida fue cálida y, a pesar del hecho de que estaba fuera de la cocina horas, ofrecían alimentos cuando preguntamos. Los jardines son agradables, con abundantes asientos y un área de juegos para niños. No comimos aquí, después de todo, el tipo de comida no era lo que me apetecía en ese momento. Una pequeña parada para disfrutar del sol.
