Super friendly pub in Emsworth. Staff are excellent and make you feel very welcome. Menu has something for everyone. Lovely place to pop in for lunch.

Lovely spot in the middle of Emsworth. Very friendly staff and so dog friendly, even put a bowl of treats on the table, and dog blankets on the floor. Super food, generous portions and very reasonable.

I booked a wake here on the 22 oct for my godmother. I spoke to Karen who was very caring and professional. On the day the food and service was outstanding. Everyone commented that the food was so tasty and cooked to perfection thank you chefs 👍 But I’d highly recommend the crown for very good food and service

We visited here on Saturday evening. Food was fantastic and the staff were amazing. They couldn't have been more helpful or polite. It's the best meal we've had out in a long time. It was our first visit but we'll definitely be back. Thank you!

Pub in the centre of Emsworth frequented by locals. Run and staffed by absolutely lovely warm and friendly ladies who clearly care about their customers. I had lunch here (roast chicken, chips and salad) and the food was excellent and the portions generous. Dog friendly, they provided water (very welcome) treats and a comfy mat for my little dog to lie on without being asked. We both felt welcome and spoiled by the excellent and caring service provided.

The atmosphere was really good and a relaxed environment and the staff were really caring and helpful and supportive and understanding and patient and they were good listeners and they were non judgemental and the food was delicious and it was really big portions and it was good value for money and service was quick.

Enjoyed a three night stay in Room 6 which was right at the back of the hotel. Room was lovely and cozy with a very comfy bed and walk in shower. Excellent entertainment on Friday and Saturday and enjoyed a superb family Sunday lunch. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly and will certainly stay again. A point to note that if you can’t manage too many steps some of the rooms wouldn’t be suitable.

We didn't eat here, just had a pint in the courtyard at the back. The staff were excellent, the beer was good and the venue was very comfortable.

Excellent food, great staff. Went here twice while staying in Emsworth, and had fantastic meals both times. The fish was fresh, very nicely cooked, and the drinks were delicious. Highly recommend.

Staff was friendly. Food was good average pub grub, we had fish and chips. Was not impressed with getting service charges on the bill, you expect that in a restaurant not a pub. If I choose to leave a tip that's my choice not to have it compulsory on the bill.

We are down in the area for a family gathering and staying just a short walk away from this fabulous place, the staff are extremely friendly and professional, the food was excellent and nothing is too much trouble. Highly recommend this to anyone who is either visiting or local to Emsworth.

Love this pub. Stayed for 2 nights. Rooms were very clean and had a few nice baths. The pub was very busy over the bank holiday weekend with a happy friendly atmosphere. We didn't get to eat their but the food looked good. Recommended.

Very friendly pub located in Emsworth High Street with great food at reasonable prices, there is also usually entertainment at the weekends . There is a small car park round the back of pub free if staying / eating at the pub , you have to register your car number plate . On Sundays they do a separate menu to rest of week where they concentrate on a roast but other dishes are available, also there is a child's menu . 3 courses are available if you wish or can just have one or 2 , and you get plenty , I personally find them very filling and only usually have 2 courses . There is also small back garden seated area which you can access either through the pub or their car park

We stayed in Emsworth for a ten day break and went to The Crown twice; it was that good. Extremely dog friendly, they got treats, water and a bed before drinks orders were taken! The food was excellent, both for lunch and dinner and the selection of beers very good. Service was very friendly and attentive.

Stayed the night on the 10th. Great pub. Staff and food were really great. Room was lovely. Great base to explore Emsworth and beyond. Will definitely be back 😀

We had the most fantastic afternoon here our first visit for roast and Sean sings Elvis, the girls working did everything they could to make our afternoon perfect and the food was also amazing great atmosphere we definitely would come again, would love to try some more dishes my husband had the leek and cheese quiche which he said was amazing and the rest of us had roasts, thank you the crown for having us 😃

We wanted lunch as 2 adults and 5 kids without a booking and they were really accommodating. Karen gave amazing service and was great with the kids. Thank you

Called in for a drink at lunchtime and once we saw the food being served decided to stay for lunch - we were not disappointed! Great atmosphere, very friendly, professional staff, delicious food and a great price too. Very pleased with overall experience and will definitely return - well done to the Manager and all at The Crown - perfect spot on Emsworth for a drink and / or a meal.

Since our previous visit (see comment below) we booked to stay for one night. The checking in process is easy, friendly staff member showed us to our room and offered to help with our bags. The room was very clean and comfortable with a nice bathroom. Bed linen and towels very good. Also called in earlier in the day to enquire if we could use the car park prior to check in time which was no problem, and our car registration was added to the 24 hour car park register. There is no breakfast option but this is not a problem as a few cafes nearby serve breakfast. The Crown has a nice lively atmosphere and each time we've been there has been live music. Comment from a previous visit: We called called in for a couple of drinks twice and can't comment on the food, although all the food being served looked good. The staff were friendly, and it was great to hear some live music. We would consider staying here when we visit again.

Had a really great stay at the Crown. Room was spacious, bed comfy and all in all very good. Would highly recommend. Had a bit of an issue with the private car park but the Crown are kindly assisting in this matter and have been very helpful.

Only popped in for a quick pint, but had a lovely Guinness and the live music was decent with a nice atmosphere and welcoming staff. Will have to head over again to try the food.

Didn't eat so can't say, parking is hard to work out, you have to log into a computer on the bar, no good for people that aren't able to do this , reading and writing and computer illiterate, place clean , outside, area nice ,maybe eat next time I'm there

Only popped in for an after work drink but looked like a great place, very clean and the staff were friendly helpful and welcoming. Be aware of you park in their car park you need to put your registration number in the iPad on the bar.

Really disappointed with the food, its not great. The starter, whitebait was okay but that's the highlight... Kids meals were pleasant enough but the rest of us (8) had the 'roast' beef... The Yorkshire Pudding was over cooked, the parsnips were black, roast spuds were soggy and the beef was as tough as Ghandi's flip flop. Some had preordered deserts but those of us that hadn't, asked to see the desert menu. We were told that the chef wouldn't do any more for us. I went to the bar and ordered separately and received my order in a timely manner. Service was good, just to be let down by the kitchen such a shame.

We used the rear car park and entered car details into the screen that's on the bar. (Space during a weekday evening.) Warm welcome and timely service. Out of the four of us, three thought the food was great and one thought it was good. It's certainly a place we'd return to.

A busy pub in Emsworth town centre, with a lively atmosphere and is very dog friendly. Good variety of gluten free choices on the menu; I had the cajun chicken burger and it was fantastic.

Glad we booked as the Sunday lunchers had filled the restaurant! Couldn’t be faulted, a lovely greeting, a nice table where we could tuck our Golden Retriever out of the way, and an excellent lunch that was served promptly and efficiently. And a special mention to our server Evie K, an absolute credit to the business. A lovely happy smiling individual, who even supplied us with super little Takeway boxes for our leftovers! Thank you!

We had a lovely lunchtime meal today. Good value and very tasty, the cheesy garlic bread was fantastic 👍. The staff were excellent and very helpful as one of us had a nut allergy but no problem. Although a little busy the food came out quickly and overall a very enjoyable experience as we had never been here before. Steve & Linda.

Went to The Crown for a family birthday meal. There was 25 of us and we had one of the function rooms, which there had been a problem in the week but the manager was brilliant and sorted it out. The room was lovely and exactly what we needed. The food was excellent well done to the chef. We all had roast which was lovely and came with vegetables and extras. The staff were top notch couldn’t do enough for us. The puddings were amazing, it was such good value. I would highly recommend The Crown and will definitely be returning.

We had a fabulous stay very recently with our two dogs. The rooms are warm, nicely furnished, and we had a beautiful bathroom The service is outstanding and food is excellent here, if you are looking to visit Emsworth definitely stay here. Best dog friendly place in the village!.

We stayed here because we went to a party at JJs. This Inn was exactly what we wanted, clean and comfortable. Large car park, friendly and helpful staff, nice room and bed, with a modern en-suite. Plenty of free tea/coffee and clean, soft towels.

Tricky to review. Starting with the question "would I choose to come back"? No - would be the answer. Food portions were very large, but quality not great. Cheesecake was awful and left uneaten (this was the case for multiple members of our party). Service was patchy. End of school report card would read "Could do better".

A perfect pub with great staff! We celebrated the wife’s birthday, and could not fault the food. Service was great, roast meats were banging and we really look forward to eating here again. Been many times and never had a bad meal. Absolute gem. Thanks for your hard work.

We stumbled across this fabulous pub while in Emsworth for the day. Right from walking in the door we felt welcomed. The staff were attentive and friendly and had a great rapport with customers. The food was delicious and I had the best chips I've ever tasted! We would definitely return when in the area and will recommend to friends.

I bought a pie meal which was fine in taste .on 21st st October However the portion of pie and vegetables was poor not much chicken supposed to be chicken and chorizo. Didn't see that . The previous time was good so I really dont know what happenned this time

Lovely pub with great food and friendly staff. The roast dinners are always spot on so definitely give this place a go if you’re in town. The music is a little loud for my liking but everyone seems to enjoy it so it’s just me. The roast does come with veg, it’s just in a side dish which I didn’t get a photo of.

One of the most bizarre and mixed experience of a pub meal we've ever had !!...The Crown was chaotic, confused and a bit manic when we visited after receiving a few recommendations to try Sunday lunch here...Be aware that if you book Sunday lunch between 3-5pm,there will be a live music act on obviously appealing to the drinking fraternity who were very lively and inebriated in the bar area. Our booked table was right next to the act and we asked to be moved to a quieter area...This was not clarified or checked with us when we made the booking on Sat who said they had plenty of room for our 4pm booking ?...However we were moved into a quieter room by the manager Adrian which we appreciated who said we would be seen to very soon...Three male waiters walked past us without any acknowledgement at all which was very poor and it was only when Adrian checked about 10 mins late if we'd had our order taken and he apologised profusely for the poor service. We ordered 2 x beef to then be told it had all gone and so opted for Lamb Roasts...Food was very nice, with an enormous and Gorgeous Banoffee Pie desert which we shared. Adrian and Evie were very apologetic and gave us 50% off the bill which was acceptable and handled our complaints very well. The younger male servers were well out of their depth and need some urgent training on customer service/waiter skills. Unlikely to visit again but if we did, we would choose to come at a calmer more relaxed time. Not sure what the place is trying to be ?? An eatery or an entertainment venue or both ? if both, then the overlap and planning needs a lot of work. Hope you take this review as constructive feedback and Well done to Adrian and Evie on how they dealt with a messy situation

Second time eating here in recent months, both times visiting on a Sunday so my wife can have the Sunday lunches she loves so much. The first time, she described her meal as one of the best Sunday lunches she's had. The second time, it was THE best Sunday lunch she's had...cannot say better than that. I prefer something else to a Sunday lunch and have not been disappointed either. Their portions are huge. My pasta today was probably twice the size of what you'd get in most pubs for the same price, and really tasty. Great service too, very friendly and excellent live music as well...brilliant singers but at a volume that you can still enjoy a conversation. Very highly recommended.

We arrived without booking as a large group on a Saturday evening. Despite being fairly full they accommodated us excellently. The food and service were exemplary.

There were 6 adults all ordered starters welsh rarebit and pork roast dinner and maybe order a pudding the starters bread was very hard the pork was very dry waited too long for vegetables to come out and when they did there wasn't enough for 6 people you couldn't even say it was al dente I think they just showed the vegetables the hot water the cauliflower cheese was burnt on top and by the time we began to eat the food was lukewarm. They took ages to clear away and we had to go and find the board with the deserts when they did eventually come back to us we were not allowed to order a pudding because the next lot of people were due to take our table when we asked for pudding they said you've only 5 minutes left so you can't have pudding sorry on paying we were charged extra for the small dish of vegetables 😔 the man said oh we won't charge you for that sorry not good enough 😔 I've been to the crown Inn numerous times and this is the second time this has happened very poor service mediocre food won't be returning I will take my family somewhere that appreciates their customers.

I have never had a ploughman's so big that I couldn't eat it all. It was fresh and very tasty. Great atmosphere, and it's nice to see a local pub busy on a lunchtime. It's definitely a good sign. I will be back 😀
