Estoy deseando volver a ir.

We stopped in here for dinner as it is listed in the Good Beer Guide. The Beer was in very good condition, and there was a good range. We had dinner, and enjoyed the midweek 2 courses for a tenner. The starters were good, and the chili was tasty. The spuds were good value, but a little light on fillings. It's not too far off the A1, and is well worth dropping in for a beer or a good value meal.

I recently visited The Crown in Normanton On Trent for Sunday Lunch.I don't normally do Sunday lunches as they mostly seem to be of the carvery variety. Mushy veg etc..I was very, very pleased to see this was not the case at The Crown. My wife, brother, daughter and two grandsons accompanied me and all of them were completely satisfied in every way with our meals. The service was very good from a lady who had a lot to deal with.Cannot fail but to recommend this pub/restaurant.There was also the added bonus of sampling the various ales from the nearby Milestone Brewery. My favourite, Loxely Ale.Will certainly revisit.

Popped to The Crown for a family evening meal on a Sunday evening as most pubs don't serve on a Sunday evening. We walked through the side door to be greater by a load of blokes watching football on Sky TV. I know it's a "local" pub for local people but it's not a warm welcome when everyone turns around in unison to see who's entered. The beers are excellent, as the pub is owned by the chap who started Milestone Brewery, so the four pump ales looked great, and the one I tried so stop on.The restaurant is away from the TV so that didn't spoil the evening and the restaurant is well set out. We ordered three beef Sunday lunches with nice thick slices of meat, still slightly pink, which was great. However whilst the roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings were crisp and piping hot, the mash and meat were warm at best and had to be sent back. The staff were very apologetic and couldn't do enough to rectify this. When it did return, it was a whole new portion, as you would expect, and it was very nice indeed.I didn't have a sweet, but did try my wife's panna cotta which I found delicious and my daughters Cheesecake, which was a little too sweet for me.Overall, if the meal had been hot, it would have been excellent, as the beer and staff were great, but it was the food we were there for and that brings the score down.I definitely go again.

As someone who has visited The Crown on a number of occasions I have learnt to expect a high quality of both food and customer service. My latest visit was no different. The staff were both friendly and efficient! Food was once again perfectly cooked and traditional. The menu offered something for everybody within the pubs target audience and the drinks, with special reference to some fantastic local ales made it a real authentic village pub/restaurant experience. The Crown provides a relaxing yet warm atmosphere and I would thoroughly recommend that anyone passing or nearby should give this place a try. Keep up the good work!

A very homely pub where one feels most comfortable. There are small rooms for groups and a larger room which generates a friendly atmosphere. In summer there is a marquee and is always popular. Centrally located in Beeston. The only drawback is the elevated prices for beer. You will pay central Nottingham prices here.

We went there recently for lunch. And what a fantastic lunch we had. This pub food is of a good restaurant standard. Excellently cook and presented. We were so spoiled for choice, as the menu is so extensive. So extensive we actually thought it would be cook-chill/frozen/microwaved etc BUT we were so very pleasantly surprised to discover food is all cooked fresh and to such a high standard. The staff are really brilliant - friendly, knowledgeable and eager to please. For a small village they have one heck of a wonderful pub!! Well worth a visit.

We drove here for a repeat visit when staying at nearby Norwell for the Antique and Collectors' Fair. The food is the big draw for my wife; she is particularly fond of the belly pork which is tender and sumptuous. I love the food too, but the cask ales are an equal attraction. This is the brewery tap for Milestone Brewery and I find that it is always worthwhile to seek out micro-brewers' products whenever I travel. The staff are friendly and you can move to the comfortable couches in the bar when you have finished you meal. Definitely a pub to seek out.
