The ''Craft'' in the title is misleading as all you get is the cheapest mass market beers such as John Smiths and a few trendy Euro Lagers. I popped in as it's about the only traditional looking pub left in this part of the city centre which makes the dull and bland interior just like any other city centre chain pub takeover. As with a few of this chains locations it places itself near to a Wetherspoons as if to attract it's customers into a change of scenery or add it to their daily pub crawl.

We were out as a family celebrating my sons 18th with my 21 year old daughter and husband. As soon as we walked into the pub the miserable barman said ...we will need ID for the children, my daughter showed hers and my son went to get his out and I told the MOS this will be his 1st pint , he is 18 today, and he never cracked his face or wished my son a happy birthday just replied very sternly well not until I see his ID! He was vile, needless to say we left and spent our hard earned money elsewhere! RUDE!

An old pub full of charm and character but shame about the service, cleanliness and people who drink there. Fine if you’re looking for a cheap drink but not much else. Bar staff unorganised and lacking on the customer service front. Many better places to visit if heading to Swansea for a drink.

My friends had gone into the pub literally two minutes before me as I was finishing off a cigarette outside. As I walked through the door there were two door staff stood there looking at me as though I was something on the bottom of their shoe, who then began shouting that they were closed. I explained that my friends had literally just gone in and I could see them standing at the bar getting served. The attitude of the staff was very poor and I could tell at this stage they were deliberately trying to be difficult, as they just kept repeating they were closed. Anyway, fair enough, so I tried calling my friends to say the bar was closed and I would meet them outside but they couldn’t hear me, so to try and attract their attention I stepped to the side of the staff. At this point the one door man became quite aggressive and grabbed me to throw me out and telling me how rude I am and to “f##k off”. I wasn’t drunk, rude or nasty to them and this was a complete overreaction. We only went in there because our taxi dropped us off outside and certainly won’t bother again.

Had the BEST night here - came for a few karaoke songs at 6pm, and didn’t leave until nearly midnight. Hooky on the karaoke was a lot of fun, and we will definitely be back to pretend we’re in B*Witched, and watch more skinny local men sing Ricky Martin. Drinks were cheap, bar staff were brilliant and kept us very drunk - great Swansea night out!

As a split-up group on a Stag night, we only called by for a couple of beers but ended up staying for quite a few. The doormen were super friendly and helped us all find tables outside as it was so warm. As it's table service only now, we were served mostly by Ashleigh (hope I got the spelling correct!) who has an incredible memory, always getting us the right drinks and must have walked miles! Give the girl a bonus as she's a true asset to your company.

We were in Swansea recently and came across this pub. It is really worth a visit as it isn't one of your national chains. It is locally owned and they source the food they serve locally. They do not accept cards of any description but there is an ATM inside where money can be obtained without charge. The meals were served quite quickly even though the pub was full.

There's nothing better then visiting a proper, grown up pub. One of the best things about The Cross Keys is that it's over 18's only. there are way too many places in Swansea that are "family friendly", sometimes you just want a meal without someones offspring running around the place. This is a place that is popular with local people, which I am not but still got a warm welcome from the staff. They were friendly and the customer service was great. The food is proper pub grub. I had the chicken tikka and my partner had the pie. In all honesty, my curry was the best I've tasted, it was perfect. The only gripe my partner had was that the gravy that came with his pie was a bit salty apart from that, it was great. I'm sorry that I did not get any of the staffs names, you're all doing a really great job. It's so nice these days to visit a proper pub with a welcoming, friendly service.

I have given this place several chances, and each time it has been a complete disappointment and waste of time. The food is rank, the steak is basically like chewing on a wellie, chips are cold and under cooked. Over priced watered down drinks. Horrible atmosphere, plenty of old drunks propped up on the bar by lunchtime. The staff are downright rude! Dingy, scruffy dump. I'd avoid it completely if I were you! This place makes the Yates round the corner look like the Ritz. Avoid at all costs, there are plenty more well refined, pleasant places to go in Swansea city centre than this hovel.

We called in one lunchtime, having not been for many years, and were more than impressed. The welcome was warm and genuine, the menu choices were great in terms of dishes and prices and the atmosphere was that of a traditional pub.We ordered a steak and a rack of ribs with curly fries and a side of onion rings. When the food arrived we were amazed at the quantity and quality, the plates were huge, all of the food was hot, apart from the salad and coleslaw, the steak was cooked to perfection and could have been cut with a blunt ballpoint pen, the ribs were tender and fell off the bone and the dish of onion rings was enormous. Having failed to eat everything we waited a while and ordered desert (well, you do don't you?). A sundae that was pre-prepared but nevertheless very tasty and a toffee pudding with custard, I'm pleased to say that they must love custard as much as I do because there was a dish full of it rather than a blob on top. There is nothing that I could criticise here and I am so glad to have re-discovered the Cross Keys.

Wij hadden onze plek gevonden.

Passed this famous pub many many time, therefore decided to pop in for pint. Very spacious inside, but not only old fashioned, it is very outdated. Very popular with locals.

from outside it locks really small then you get inside and its bloody huge good ales but food not served in the evenings which was a down point especially if you arrive in Swansea late afternoon looking for something to eat

they do not let you in for food or even a drink with children, tried today for lunch with two very well behaved boys and we turned away. Will not be going back there, made to feel very unwelcome and as if we had some sort of disease

We go here often as it's our local as we live in the city centre. For a city centre pub it's lovely, reminds me from the outside more of a village pub.Can see it's a really old building of which is still in its original state. Lovely hanging baskets and nice beer garden. The inside however could do with a revamp, or being more personalised. Seems more of a weatherspoons once you walk in.Food is great especially the chicken pie. Good choice of food. Service is always great. Good atmosphere on game day. Always busy on a sunny day.

Not our best choice but there is little to choose from in Swansea city centre. Inside is more of a pub then a restaurant and they charge for using a credit card but do have a free cashpoint machine in the bar area. We ordered steaks with big potato but they were out of stock so settled for mash. Service was poor with the meals just thrown in front of us and we had to go find our own knives and forks without being prepared for this. No table check or any other comments made. The medium rare steak was rather tough and of poor quality even for a rump. Went outside afterwards into the courtyard area for a little sunshine and was rather surprised to see the fire Exit gates chained and padlocked. Didn't look very health and safety conscious to us. The place could do with a refresh and clean up.

What a surprise, looks tiny on the outside but massive inside plenty of room with large bar. The food was delicious and they were not mean on the portions. The price was ideal not expensive but not cheap, cheap. Will definitely be arranging another visit here when and if we returned.

At least at lunch time, weekdays, this pub is a good choice to strength yourself with a pint beer and some home cocked food in a relaxed ambiance. Nothing special with the food, but the prices are also cheat so it ends up to be a good solution if one is in the center of Swansea. And the building is really nice and old, a must see.

I visited The Cross Keys yesterday with friends and was not disappointed. It is situated very close to the city centre shops making it an ideal place to stop for lunch after shopping. The menu offers a wide variety of reasonably priced 'pub grub' meals and the staff were all very patient and welcoming.

First time i've been here for Sunday lunch & we weren't disappointed. You can order from main menu or you can have Carvery which we did. 3 choices of meat & plenty of it, yorkshire pud, stuffing, roasties then 5 different veg & proper gravy. It was delicious, nothing left on our plates. I must also give credit to staff, most of them are young but they greeted everyone at the bar when ordering & told us to enjoy our meal. Tables were clean & clutter free, we'll definitely be popping in again.

Had my 50th birthday party over the bank holiday weekend. Venue was great, service was excellent and food was fab with a mix of meat, vegetarian, vegan and gluten free. Staff friendly and did everything to make the night a success, they even went out to buy more Kahula when they ran out! Great hosting by Josh, he made the night go swimmingly and was really friendly and organised, a great party. Thanks all 🥳

We called in for a drink one afternoon. The place was almost empty, as indeed it seems to be the majority of the time. The place is well furnished and roomy but lacks atmosphere. Not for me.

Parked here to walk to Three Cliffs Bay (£4, pay in the shop) and had planned to drive elsewhere for lunch but got back later than expected and decided to eat in the cafe instead. We each had the soup special (spiced chickpea) which was delicious (came with some white baguette slices) and half a toasted sandwich each (they allowed us to combine two from the menu which was great) - took a while to come but was very good and came with some salad leaves/coleslaw and a few crisps. Finished off with a lovely chocolate cannoli.

Fish was ok but no bigger than the other ones in the heater unit, soggy chips were ok. This is the most expensive fish/chips/curry sauce /battered sausage I’ve ever had. Friendly staff but £26.40 was not worth the cost.

Ordered a meal at this kebab house at 8.13pm Called 1.5 hours later only to be fed lots of lies about delivery driver delivered food to the wrong house Eventually had food delivered more than 2 hours after order was placed They gave me a bottle of orange for my trouble Bit of a joke really if they think that would keep me happy Food looked like it had been thrown into the box in one big rush salad didn't seem very crunchy My only advise to anyone ordering from this place is READ THE BAD REVIEWS FIRST before you order to avoid the pending disappointment Even if the food tasted good which unfortunately it didn't It came way too late to enjoy it Shop owner didn't seem to care as he already had my money I WILL NOT dare order from this place again I may as well just throw my money at a big bag of sweets and waste my money in a delicious way
