A gorgeous haven for book, antique and plant lovers! Honestly a gorgeous little treasure trove that I could have spent hours in if it wasn't time to head home. We had coffee and cake and then explored the shop.

This is such a lovely little place! Lovely coffee and amazing handmade cakes, plus it's always full of quaint items that I love to peruse (and buy). ❤️

Perfect gem to sit and breathe.. amazing artefacts and books to wonder about, and the café is ideal.. great coffee and cakes are very nice. Less is more!

The Crooked Book is everything you can realistically want from a place like this. No, you probably won't find something very rare or spectacular, but they have loads of well organised books, interesting bits and pieces (pots, kitchenware, furniture, typewriters), maps, and good coffee and cakes.

A quirky little book shop selling second hand books, vintage goodies galore and house plants. You can even settle yourself down with tea, coffee and cake. Parking is a bit hit and miss and you have to rely to finding a parking space, but don't let that deter you, if you're in the area pop in, you won't be disappointed

My favourite bookshop/antique shop/cafe. Very cool, great vibes & staff have great taste in music. I love to swing by on a Sunday afternoon for a browse. I especially recommend their chai latte ❤️ staff are always lovely. They still happily take cash payments (cash is king). A must visit.

What a lovely place for tea and cake. The books, bric-a-brac and plants where an added bonus. Lovely vegan cake too. Music in the background was good and just loud enough to still be able to hear and chat with friends. Great vibes and friendly service.

This shop is a gem, I have been going for years, and not only do they have great antiques, plant's and a treasure trove of books. But the coffee, tea and homemade cake selection is very lovely too. A must visit.

This is an incredibly cute cafe/ vintage shop in Boscombe, I’ve always wanted to take a look inside after wandering past it countless times and I’m glad I finally did. The atmosphere here was very nice, i like the music with the dim lighting, it really added to the vibe of the place as it was filled with numerous vintage trinkets as well as other things. My favourite part of this place was how you could play chess whilst you sip on your drinks, it’s a very nice touch that adds to the homely mood. The only downside was my matcha latte did taste too much like milk for my liking, I feel like for the price of the drinks, the taste should’ve been a lot better but maybe this was just an off day. I’d love to come back with a friend to play some chess and try other drinks and snacks on the menu!

Amazed at how brilliant this little gem is! Be warned you will need at least an afternoon of browsing all the books, plants and quirky vintage finds! Luckily the coffee is excellent and the relaxed inclusive atmosphere is a breathe of fresh air oh and did i mention that the prices are so reasonable! We will be returning , only wish it was nearer ! But still well worth the trip 🤗

A small quirky shop. Sells great coffee and some amazing cakes, reasonably priced and much better than many coffee chains. As well as serving coffee the shop sells books and antiques. Everything is reasonably priced and have to admit, don't always leave empty handed

This café/vintage store is a jem!! I love the quirkiness of it, service is very casual and there's always a new find.

It is a mixture of an antique store with dishes and various small things for the home, a second-hand book shop and a cozy cafe with four tables. Highly recommend to visit!

The beverages are strong and piping hot everytime. The cosy atmosphere makes you want to stay longer and the old wares and books are rare and unique.

A bit run down and mediocre junk however the collection of books is good. Not sure I would want to eat there . Nobody spoke to us.

Best bookstore. Cheap vintage books and other vintage items for sale and little cafe. Very aesthetic place. My coffee tasted metallic because of the straw, other than that, brilliant place to go for the vibes!

We hadn't been able to visit for 6 years as we have moved away but the Crooked Book was still as great as ever. Wonderful 'ambience ' great coffee and cakes and amazing vintage stuff to buy for the home and a huge variety of books of all genres.

A treasure cove that transports to byegone days.

A really lovely store - i bought a book, chatted with the owner and played some piano, all of that in a lovely homey atmosphere and big dark academia aesthetic vibes, if that means something to anyone. Really lovely place, i would love to come here again!

Amazing bookshop with a huge range of quality secondhand books covering all genres and interests. A beautiful children's room creates a magical opportunity for discovery, and the antiques and cafe tops the whole experience off. Very friendly staff make you feel very welcome.

I was so happy to stumble across this place in the rain. I love the atmosphere, the way books are stacked up everywhere, the cute antiques and the cosy tables. The hot chocolate was amazing too!

Such a gem of a place, the best coffee and homemade cakes, in a lovely welcoming second hand book shop, selling bric a brac alongside. There is a lovely little corner tucked away for children to look at the books for sale. Just gorgeous! And they're celebrating 10 years in business this year!

My daughter and I love this little shop. New and old books, childrens books and well chosen vintage bits and pieces. We had a lovely, relaxed browse and made a few purchases...and hope to visit again. Tea, coffee and cake available to watch the world go by.

Went there today: cappuccino and Victoria sponge, absolutely delicious in a warm, cosy, comfortable, quirky cafe-shop of books, plants and more. Loved the ambience, catering and the friendly service. I crashed out on the window, leather sofa and could have stayed a week. Great value and simply delightful. Thank you.

A haven! Books, antiques and a cafe!! Best place I have found since moving to the area! The book selection is brilliant, such a interesting and varied collection! Wonderful staff too! Spent a fabulous Saturday afternoon chatting and reading, came away with a mountain of books and a fab flat white and a feeling of intellectual refreshment !

Lovely quirky bookshop/cafe/antique shop. Popped in with a friend to escape the rain the other day, and ended up staying for a while exploring the bookshelves, the pot plants, and sipping a lovely hot drink. Staff is lovely and helpful too. If I lived closer, would be in there every other day!

За несколько минут она нашла пять книг которые я давно искал. Сам бы я потратил на это пару часов и не факт, что нашёл бы. Тем временем магазин закрывался и у меня не было этих пару часов, поэтому она меня очень выручила. Спасибо ей за это.

I absolutely LOVE the Crooked Book! I actually live in Sheffield but visit Bournemouth whenever possible and always make time to visit The Crooked Book as many times as I can whilst in the area. This place is just so warm and welcoming with lots of fabulous vintage items & books for sale within a heavenly café and welcoming team of staff! There are chess mornings and knitting club mornings and even though I am into neither the atmosphere is always so lovely and it attracts so many interesting people - I absolutely love it here and can't wait to visit again as soon as possible!

Friendly atmosphere, good customer service, nostalgia. Sit and have a cup of quality coffee while playing cards, chess have a go at knitting even. All while sitting amongst quirky antiques which are for sale. Came away with a galvanised dustbin to use as a planter. Happy Days.

The Crooked Book doubles as a cafe and a quasi second-hand book and curiosity shop. It has a nice ambience and character all of its own. I think it is fair to say places like this should be treasured and in today's world where there are a fewer independent businesses, and more of an emphasis on corporate or franchised business, time in the The Crooked Book is time well spent.

This is a brilliant place with an eclectic variety of artefacts, from second-hand furniture to a wide variety of books, including classics and rare. They have great food, a really good atmosphere and very friendly staff. Its also well kept and clean :-)

A real gem of a place. Home made food, delicious cakes, great book selection of popular and unusual second hand titles and a really beautiful assortment of Nik naks to buy. There might even be some one playing the piano. Go.
