The Dorset Pantry in Bournemouth

my family have been regularly coming to the dorset pantry ever since Kasia took over ownership years ago. I have since moved out of the country but any and every time I’m in Bournemouth, the Dorset Pantry is always my FIRST stop. This sandwich shop has always been an amazing little hidden gem, and I’ve always recommended the place extremely highly. The food is always 11/10 and its always service with a smile! ps. her slices of cake are probably the fluffiest and tastiest you’ll try!!

Kasia is a lovely person, a hard worker and I recommend anyone and every one to use this small independent business. We should all be supporting local businesses in the community. The selection of rolls and sandwiches are numerous. I recommend her homemade cake, it is delightful.

Lovely place with great service and sandwiches

Best sandwich shop in Bournemouth by a long way. And the owner is great and welcoming. even when we have a job 15 min drive away we still head for the Dorset pantry. Portion sizes are great.

The sandwiches & salads have always been perfect for me, others I know have not always been given what they ordered, for example pepper added when requested without or extra different fillings which customers have not asked for (concerning for dietry requirements). However mine has always been spot on. My gripe is that as lovely as the owner comes across she always makes me feel like it is too much trouble even though I keep everything as standard. She does have a strange method of prioritising orders. My friend she happily does sandwiches for, but ignores me when I try to order, then when I got my confidence up to go back & try to order again she explained she was too busy, I would have to wait half hour, I was prepared to do so, but then she said maybe another time. I was so hurt, she actually ruined my whole Friday, I've had a tough week & this reduced me to tears. I don't understand why she really doesn't want to ever do an order for me if she can avoid it. I've always recommended how great her good is & how generous the fillings are.

Nice sandwiches and salads, always easy to place orders by phone if in a hurry to collect. Reasonably priced.

HORRIBLE SERVICE AND SANDWICH!! Heard nothing but good things but I was so shocked at my own experience. After queuing for a good 25/30 mins a really rude lady took my order, I kindly requested for the hard bits to be cut off my bree but she said no and that she could not do this and did not have time. After the amount of time I’d spent on her queue you would think she could carry out this extremely simple request. I then changed my order to a mozzarella pesto tomato panini and I must say this was the most horrible tasteless version of this panini I’ve ever had. Starbucks packet paninis were a thousand times better than this so called fresh bakery. Would never go back. Awful service awful tasteless food.

Very nice little place, fresh tasty food. Paninis are toasted well, and filling are very good. Note there is no toilet and limited seats by the window.

I have to say Kasia is so friendly and the sandwiches are freshly made and the coffee lovely as is the service. Great that you can pre order through what app from the website and they have it ready for you pay and go. Saves time def highly reccomend a visit to the Dorset Pantry

What a lovely little find, just passing and really fancied a nice sandwich,, the ladies were both lovely, I chose the beef sandwich, I was offered horseradish sauce, fresh rocket, tomato and loads of black pepper. The portion of beef was very impressive, cut very thinly, I was very impressed with the quality and the price, My partner had a chicken tikka and was also very impressed with the size, quality & price. Will definitely be back soon, thank you 🙏🏼

Popped down from London to visit the folks last week and came across The Pantry, where my girlfriend and I had some egg and bacon sandwiches. They were lovingly made and delicious, much like the cappuccinos - better than most cafes in East London. Really friendly and lovely service from both girls too! Keep up the good work. 여러번 들러서 커피와 샌드위치 먹었었 는데, 주인 아주머니께서 항상 친절하게 대해주세요. 샌드위치, 파니니 등등 종류도 많고 먹었던 것들 모두 평균 이상이었는데 개인적으로 바로 조리해주시면 파니니가 가장 맛있었습니다.

Very poor customer service. Me and my wife were regular customers for 3 years and every time we were willing to wait for our food to be prepared and the lady was constantly repeating to go away and come back. And although there were seats in the shop she didn t even let us stand there. She is also very slow and never prioritise the orders correctly. Never going there again as i always have to cancel my orders as she was serving the other customers first despite of being my turn.

Yum yum. Found this place by fluke whilst waiting for my MOT. Delightful owner. Beautiful sandwich made to order with Livy coffee. I wish I was in the locality more often as I most certainly would recommend.

Can’t recommend this place enough. Food is lovely, the homemade cakes are amazing and the staff are also friendly. Great service and great value for money you won’t find many places that put as much in a sandwich as what you do in this place. Highly recommended.

Ordered 2 cakes payed by card but card machine declined Popped to post office got cash and paid the lady Only to see I had been charged on my card Been refused refund despite her admiring I paid cash and me having the proof it’s been taken from my bank I even showed her Do not use this place or if you do pay with cash only!!’ Disgusting customer service Will be contacting trading standards Stealing from customers is not acceptable!’

I had a chicken, bacon n avocado salad for the first time today ! I must say well recommended! Also a chocolate brownie ! Amazing ! Fair play !

We had booked to go to Marvo Mystery near by and wanted to find a cafe to have a coffee first. We looked up and down Holdenhurst Road and this was the only cafe we could find. There are just a few stools to sit on in the window which was fine for us. Two Americano coffees were just £2 each and a lovely blend of coffee. The lady behind the counter was lovely and friendly.

Lovely fresh food, great service I cannot fault. Would certainly recommend if your after great food.

Just sometimes you visit somewhere that fits your idea of perfection! Just sometimes you receive service that you have long since given up hope of receiving! Just sometimes you meet someone really special that really cares! This is a great place for a generous snack, its immaculately clean, beautifully presented and run by a truly lovely and modest owner. As a self styled authority on; Egg Mayonaise, Cheese and Onion Sandwiches, I have to say this was one of the best I have ever tasted in my 50 years of research, coupled with the delightful way I was made to feel welcome made this a memorable experience that I need to repeat many times! Thank for making a miserable Monday very special! I need to go again very soon.

The non-word "Panini's" is an insult to the Italian language and to English grammar

Not Impressed. The website advertises a Lean Bacon Sandwich at £3.00, it is actually £3.20 when you come to pay. The Bacon is already cooked and just warmed in the Panini Machine ( I wouldn't like to order a Panini in there if I was a vegetarian). The bacon was barely warm and had a thick rind of fat on it. On the plus side the bread was nice and they do use Heinz ketchup.

This is our new favourite place to have a treat for lunch. Excellent quality and great value for money. The owner is lovely and her homemade sausage rolls are to die for! We've tried the baguettes and paninis, all freshly made and delicious. Would recommend to anyone :)

L'endroit est petit mais la patronne est charmante et les sandwiches excellents. Les prix sont honnêtes et les produits associés comme les chips, les jus de fruit et les barres chocolatés sont vendus au meilleur prix. On recommande les paninis et autres sandwiches poulet/Bacon.
