When googling Nans ..going to website you need to have a Facebook account which not everyone has, including myself so i was unable to see this information ...so going by Google it says that on a Sunday it's open until 1pm...so turning up at 12.25 and being turned away was not ideal and very disappointing...the kitchen is apparently closed at 12....this information needs to be on Google . Perhaps offer takeaway after a later time than 12 with options or put closing time at 12

Been several times and always very good but found one of the staff incredibly rude today no manners and very sloppy behaviour

I took my son here yesterday, 15/05/24. He is training to be a chef and is very honest about food he eats out. He loved it!!! My scrambled eggs and mushrooms on toast were delicious, his 'crikey can you eat all that' breakfast was again, delicious. Service was fantastic, lovely atmosphere, nice and clean, not a bad word to say. We had cake for afters, my hazelnut praline choc cake with raspberries was out of this world. Can't wait to book the posh afternoon tea for me and my daughter.

I visited last week and it was so good that I arrived again only yesterday. Jimmy, Sarah and the team are fabulous and the food is absolutely fantastic. Can't wait to see you all again soon

Wow what can I say but just absolutely amazing atmosphere, professionalism, polite and very helpful. Not only are the owners friendly and approachable. The staff are incredible especially Jimmy. He took care of us from start to finish. Greeting us as soon as we got in and made us feel super special. The food was hot, tasty and hit the spot. Thank you so much we will definitely be back asap

The minute I walked in I immediately felt welcomed. The staff are incredible and the food is so tasty! It may be a little up there in price, but you absolutely get your moneys worth.

Came here for the first time today for some brunch as I wanted to try this place for a while. Myself and my friends were greeted by Jimmy who was absolutely lovely, an absolute credit to your business! Very polite and eager to make our experience as pleasant as possible. A lovely breakfast in a pretty little cafe

I popped in here a few days ago for a bit of breakfast while I was working nearby. I don’t usually leave reviews but I got chatting to the owner who is a pretty decent chap and I said I would. The sausages were banging. Top notch coffee from local coffee company Bad Hand Coffee. Great portion sizes. Quick service. Pleasant staff. Proper lovely garden and environment. Very enjoyable breakfast. Cheers

What a lovely, little cafe. I stumbled upon this place when my car was in the garage. The staff were very friendly and the food was amazing. They had plenty to choose from and had a nice outside space to relax in. It's a must visit if you're down that way.

What a wonderful place! We came here the other morning and had breakfast with the kids. The staff were all very helpful and pleasant and the food was top quality! I also went to the games night on Friday night with a few mate which was a blast. Its a must visit place when in bournemouth

I don't normally write reviews, but I really had a lovely breakfast this morning at Nan place cafe. I had a 'Crikey' breakfast and is was big! I just about managed to eat is all! The staff were so friendly and I said how much I liked my breakfast, and they said for me to write a review! so here I am. The food was high quality and I was happy to pay the price. It's the same everywhere now price have just gone up. But the breakfast was definitely worth every penny. I will definitely be back.

I've got to say, it's a real shame. IMO this place has fallen so badly downhill, I presume because of the cost of living, it's basically a different premise and business than before. The food is very low grade now, many, many options have disappeared from the menu, the corner cutting is evident and I won't be taking my family back here even though we have made many visits since it's creation. Three children's meals, one was eaten as the quality was so low, one tea, one coffee, a jacket potato with margarine not butter like it used to be, two crepes, £45.00 simply too expensive and too low grade. Only my fourth negative review in many many years but this IMO, is a place to avoid now. Try the new café near pizza hut for cafe style food!

Excellent food and service there's a bit of a wait for the food to arrive at your table but worth the wait. But you must book a table before going as not to be disappointed as they are very busy 👍

Had my surprise birthday/retirement here 10th February. It was amazing food lovely. Atmosphere was great. The lady and gentleman who were looking after us were efficient and lovely. I couldn't of asked for more . Thank you all concerned for everything

Quality of food poor, breakfast was cold by the time it arrived, meals came at different times! Had to keep asking for coffee, seemed only to tend to a couple of regulars in there!! Very disappointing

Delightful cafe with a really comfortable , easy atmosphere, friendly service and good food.

We go to Nans place quite often for lunch and/or a drink. We have always found everyone who works there to be lovely. They are friendly and cannot do enough for you. Last night we decided to try one of Nan’s quizzes. It was such a fun evening. Even one of the tortoises made a brief appearance. Thank you Nan for bringing such a wonderful and vibrant cafe to Moordown.

What an amazing little gem of a place. The food is absolutely gorgeous!!! We've been a few times and have never been disappointed. The staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. When it comes to kids they are brilliant from setting up the high chairs and booster seats to cutlery and even offering a small chocolate at the end. Hot drinks come with a biscuit which is a lovely little gesture. The atmosphere is so nice and the decor is so warm. It does get busy and when you've been you'll understand why so always best to call in advance to make a booking.

Great little place - im over from New Zealand visiting friends and family but also working remotely a bit so was looking for somewhere local with wifi, and this came up. Fab food, fab place, fab wifi, and great choice on the menu. I dont have a dog but it was dog friendly and even had a lovely little courtyard out the back to sit in! Staff were super friendly and they had these cute little corgi/queen salt and pepper pots which were devine! They really have thought about everything here!! Highly recommend - thanks so much for your hospitality guys!

Nice aesthetically pleasing looking cafe, I ordered an Americano and it wasn’t very nice. Nice of them to put biscuit with it but am diabetic. The staff were friendly.

Just came across this cafe in Moordown, and in need of a cup of tea, I popped in. What a lovely cafe! I stayed for breakfast, which was delicious and one of the best breakfasts I've eaten...... Wish I'd taken a photo to show but will next time. If you are in Winton or heading to Castlepoint, pop in here and have a nice cup of tea or coffee and something to eat. You won't regret it!! Or just come along, because you can!! Plenty of parking nearby.

What a cute little find. Just what you'd expect from a proper little cafe - friendly atmosphere, fab menu with all the things you'd expect. Fantastic different range of breakfast options and served til 2pm as well!!! Jacket Potatoes, Baguettes, Burgers, Sandwiches, Milkshakes, Coffee, Alcohol - there's something for everyone!!! Super family and dog friendly with an area to keep youngsters happy, and would be lovely to hire out for a private event like a Baby Shower or Wake. I'd have confidence the staff would look after you. We ordered the 'Nan's "Crikey are you gonna eat all that?" Breakfast' - fantastic value for money at £11.95 and it includes everything you need, and even a tea and coffee with it too. Fried Eggs were cooked perfectly, no runny white, but a lovely runny yolk, sausages were good quality! Coffee was tasty, and so cute that I got a chocolate hobnob on the side too! We also ordered a cream cheese and ham bagel, was lovely have 'proper ham' not just cheap stuff! My only constructive feedback was the bagel could have done with a bit of toasting or been a bit fresher. But this wouldn't stop us returning again to try some of their other lovely looking bits of the menu, maybe even a cream tea!

We came to Nan's Place on Fathers Day for breakfast. We had booked through Facebook(Messenger) and even phoned to confirm, but on arrival our booking could not be found on the list, but after an embarrassing delay our booking was eventually found. We were seated, but it took 20 mins to take our order and we did not receive our food for another hour . My daughter did not receive her breakfast/dinner for another 20 mins by which time the rest of the party had finished their breakfast/dinner and she was eating her food alone. The whole time we were sat there we were not offered any complimentary drinks for the delay. We have come to Nans Place on several occasions before and have always had very good service. This is the first time we have received bad service and its left us questioning whether to come back again.

I've lived in the local area for 2 years now, and always try to take my family out for breakfast at the weekend, meaning we've tried many places... Hands down, this has to be the best breakfast I've had yet. Even when very busy, the service doesn't slip, and therez a lovely atmosphere.

Friendly staff, great atmosphere. Great for families. Most importantly a decent size pot of tea, with enough tea bags that it didnt taste like hot water! Breakfast was a good size portion and not over-priced. We will definitely go back.

I just had the pleasure of having a private evening event at Nan's Place for my 50th birthday. And it was amazing!! Deb and her staff were no less than phenomenal! It's was all catered with plenty of food for everyone and even though 90 peole were celebrating with me the bar staff kept on top of things. The garden at the back is such a sun trap and is kiddie friendly. It has plants, a fish pond, summer house and reclining chairs! One of my favourite places on a sunny day to be. Thanks again to you all for going above and beyond, we all had a!wonderful evening.

Highly recommend. The ladies were lovely. Even the young lad that was on milkshake making duty today were amazing. So polite couldn't do enough for everyone. Such a welcoming atmosphere. Took my nephew and my teenage daughter. My daughter took him to play in the little toy corner they have. Lots of toys to keep little ones amused. We will definitely be going back. Some customers were known by name which means they are regulars. That says alot about the place itself. Also overheard one lad say to his friends the breakfasts are amazing and taste just like a homemade brekkie. I think we will have to come back and try.

Just love this cafe. They were busy with booked customers yesterday and short staffed but still managed to squeeze us in. The staff are helpful, friendly and polite and the food was amazing - well cooked, not overdone and plentiful. This very much feels like popping round to see your family for breakfast. Will definitely make a point of visiting again as this is right up there with the best full English I’ve had.

My and my children love Nan's place! Gorgeous food and fantastic milkshakes! play areas for the children, and if the weather is good a teapot cocktail should be enjoyed in their beautiful garden! Very friendly staff, highly recommended love it here.Must add dogs are also made most welcome with treats offered!

Definitely recommend, staff were friendly and polite, me and my friend had the best waffles we have ever had and I have even been to Belgium. They had a garden with a barn and a kids bit with a massive connect four and a play house. 100% would come back. Incredible atmosphere.

We went to Nans Place for a birthday breakfast. On arrival the table was decorated and the birthday girl was made to feel very special. The food was excellent, served on warm plates, the staff were very friendly, smiley and attentive. Nans Place has a very homely vibe to it and is decorated beautifully with lots of unique features. After breakfast the birthday girl was presented with a cake and sweets with the staff singing Happy Birthday. Thank you so very much Nan and her team for making our celebrations so special. I cannot recommend Nan’s Place enough such a wonderful cafe

Lovely place for a breakfast but you do need to book. Couple of times I’ve been turned away as they have had prebooked tables, which has meant I have had to spend my money elsewhere Service is a little slow but the quality of the food more than makes up for it. Looking forward to experiencing the outside in the summer months. Great for the kids as there is a play corner and at the end they get to choose a sweet which is a lively touch.

This is the second time visiting Nans Place. On my first visit the food took ages to come but was very nice so decided to try again today. Yet again we waited over 45 mins for our food to arrive. There seemed to be a large amount of staff standing around chatting when perhaps they should have been getting on with serving and cooking. The food when it arrived was nice but the poached eggs were snotty sadly. Not keen on the loud country style music being played. Maybe a radio station would be better to cater for all tastes. Might be an idea to let customers know before they order if there is going to be a long wait. Staff very friendly.

I ordered the "Posh Ploughmans" , and I was not disappointed. Very friendly and helpful staff. Well worth a visit. I have also been for breakfast (which was delicious) and again the staff were very attentive and I was not hurried to leave when I had finished my meal.

Arrived on time for Birthday Afternoon tea unfortunately one of our party of four was very unwell and couldn't attend. We were immediately informed that we would have to pay for their food as it had already been prepared and made up in advance of our arrival. No one enquired after her welfare and if she had covid which would have meant isolation. The afternoon tea itself did not resemble the usual offering of finger sandwiches, and a selection of different and individual cakes and scones. The sandwiches were cold as they were stored in the fridge, plain scones, shop mince pies in foil and no selection of different cakes. As we were finishing up our offering a member of staff was in and out of the door allowing the door to continually slam and at one point used a chair to wedge the door open so she could bring in various decorative items in the doorway. The final straw was, the staff member climbed on a chair and proceeded to turn lights off the christmas decorations around the cafe while we sat there, this was at 3.30pm when cafe opening hours said closing was 4.30pm. Sadly non a great experience.

We booked an afternoon tea for a friends birthday for 2pm and was told the cafe closed at 4 so thought this was enough time to enjoy our tea and have a relaxing afternoon. One of the guests who is 92 was poorly so couldn’t join us but we were told as we had booked for 4 we had to pay for 4 and apart from the sandwiches there was nothing that would have been wasted. The tea came out with very cold sandwiches, which were not well presented or tasty, bite sized sausage rolls that were very cold, small bowl of crisps, mainly crumbs, a scone each, which was nice, a mince and two slices of carrot cake each! so not a lot of variety of cake, we were offered extra tea. At 3pm we were asked if we wanted further drinks as they were shutting down and blinds were drawn for the end of day so it was very obvious they wanted us to leave. It was expensive for what we had and we felt very rushed and uncomfortable. Very disappointed as the reviews suggest other people had had better experiences but we certainly won’t be returning.

Great selection of food and drink, what we had was delicious too. Nice to see somewhere that serves a good breakfast till 2pm instead of 11am. Little kids play corner too with plenty to keep our 3 year old amused for a few hours. Super friendly service, like... genuinely friendly too, can't wait to come back.

Says open until 3pm. Made a special journey to visit got here at 2pm and got turned away. Not sure what the excellent service reviews are but that definitely wasn't my experience today.
