The best thing to happen to Boscombe! No really, they do seriously nice coffee(coming from a coffee snob), some of the other customers are annoying and don’t have much understanding of respecting others personal space but I love this place anyway. And it’s super comfortable. My new coffee local 👌☺️

Lovely local friendly community cafe serving great food at good prices. Well worth a visit and a chat. I had an oreo shake was was lush and a spicy tomato sausage and chickpea melt and really great crusty bread. My friend had a mega tuna melt sandwich on proper seeded bread. Update finally visited the new building which is light and airy with views over the gardens. Food is still good and great value for money. They operate a buy it forward scheme as well. Top work guys

Community café run by local people for local people. Always a cheery welcome and a warm seat. Love that you can sit in the café & watch your kids play in the playground. Highly recommend.

Wonderful community cafe in the heart of Boscombe, with incredible staff, great food and coffee and a massive heart for the community. Plus a park to keep the kids entertained…what’s more could you want!!!

The Joy cafe is really at the heart of the Boscombe community in Churchill Gardens. It not only serves the local people it's run by local people. Friendly staff and we'll priced food and drinks. Update 2024, the longer Joy cafe is open the more it is helping serving the community. Such a great location within the local square with a park.

It's a very busy place filled with kids, making it impossible to hear myself think. I felt extremely anxious with all the noise and tantrums while waiting for my order. I had specifically ordered one drink, but received the wrong one and was charged extra.

The coffee was delicious, and the staff were just wonderful, attentive and friendly! What a great initiative. I love their pay it forward suggestion. If I'm back in the area would definitely visit again.

Cafe in the park great coffee and lunch

Lovely cafe in the park with a vibrant atmosphere. We had drinks only but the food looked nice.

I started using this cafe as I take my dog for a walk through the park.. The team are lovely..you can see they care about the customers.. I was made to feel very welcome and have met some lovely people..I look forward to my visit on a Saturday..well done everyone..💖

I received a warm and personal greeting. Coffee was excellent 👌. Lovely safe atmosphere right in Boscombe Park between a communal gardening hub and the children's area. Adapted for families (large activiy table for kids to colour), high chairs etc, and adults to chill. Good selection of coffees and other soft drinks and sandwich style light lunches.

Sammy and the team are so friendly and welcoming. The coffee and food is amazing too!

I didn't expect such a nice place in the middle of a park. The parents can enjoy a coffee while the kids are running around.

Brilliant cafe and the staff were very friendly. However, false advertising occurred as the joy smoothie had a severe lack of “joy” as suggested by the title as my mood wasn’t raised. One new member of staff told us that we were “not invited” when trying to order an iced latte. *These are our friends we love them really :)

I've just been into Joy Cafe. I don't know why they call it Joy cafe. The service was slow. I had a sausage bacon and egg in a roll. Staff were okay, and the food was okay. I wouldn't go out of my way to visit again the egg was well overcooked

Their new premises is great. The people are amazing & do a lot of good in the community. We had an amazing time & a great chat.

I visited Joys Cafe, yesterday lunchtime, for a snack and was very impressed with my meal and drink. I had never been here before, so wanted to go along to see what it was like and wasn't disappointed. I went in here with my Support Worker and sat a table by the window, where you could see out over to the green and around. We had toasties and two drinks, which was very nice and delicious, with mine being a bacon and cheese toastie on brown bread with a coffee oak milk. My Support had a cheese and toastie on brown bread with a orange juice. They had brownies and crispy cakes for sale, but we were full after our toastie. The staff are very friendly and helpful, with a smile and we would go there again and I would recommend the cafe to my disabled friends, if they are in the area. I love Community base places where people can get together and share? Thank you, see you again soon.

I popped in here the other day as I was driving past the gardens to Boscombe. I didn't even know it was there. I'd never visited before. It's a small cafe in the middle of a large grassed area Inbetween a cresent of houses. It has a kiddies play areas outside which was nice and busy with lots of happy kiddies enjoying being out with their parents. The staff are absolutely lovely in the cafe, really polite and efficient. Cleared tables off nice and quick. I would have liked to have seen the floor cleared of wrappers, food and mud though as there was enough staff for that never to happen. I know it's very busy in there and there's lots of mud from play area being brought in but that should be an even bigger reason to keep on top of the floor being at least swept. I didn't like seeing dried muddy hand prints on the wooden chairs either. Food on offer was very tasty, excellent value and fresh. Lovely coffee too. Thankfully cups, cutlery and plates were all clean. I will definitely visit again but just hope to see it cleaner. If you're passing it's definitely worth popping in for a cuppa n cake, the cakes are lovely too.

Great, all that we ordered: Sourdough toast with avocado, tomato and bacon, kids meal (bacon sandwich) and a tapa of hummus and cucumber sticks was very good. Charming service.

Nice walk. But when I got there the place was joyless and full of cobwebs. Looks like maybe they've closed shop

What a lovely little place great place to take the kids as the park is right on joy cafe doorstep. Food is beautiful and great price staff are so pleasant and friendly. Would highly recommend and I will definitely be back. Thank you so much for the beautiful food today

Spent the morning here, the staff were absolutely amazing, especially Reece - the manager. He was very knowledgeable on coeliac disease and ensured separate utensils were used for my gluten free toastie and brownie. Lovely food. I find it really hard to eat out and find suitable gluten free options and this place is perfect. Will be visiting regularly. Lovely little place with lots of options Thankyou!

good location, by the playground. They bring your order to you, wherever you are on the playground. The interior design looks alright but it was disgusting in there. Also, One person takes the order, 2 are standing around and do nothing (instead if cleaning up). I ordered only a tea and it took about 10mins until I got it.

Visited today with the family for breakfast, had lovely mugs of tea and toasted sandwiches. Everything was perfect and would definitely visit again. Reece was most friendly and had time to chat to every single customer even though it was quite busy.

Great Park cafe with friendly staff. Lovely food with reasonable prices. Outdoor seating and 10-15min walk from the beach. Parking is on the road and there are no stairs to navigate so wheelchair accessible. There's a tap there as well to fill up water bottles.

The joy cafe is a community run charity cafe, it serves specialty coffee, fresh smoothies, milk shakes to drink and a pretty varied food menu. I often have the avocado on sour dough. Hot cafe is really well priced and based in the churchill gardens park so it's idea to take the kids out for the day or to meet some members of your community

This is my regular spot since moving into the Churchill Gardens..lovely friendly staff, great coffee and food...the new cafe location isn’t ready yet however until then I’ll continue to support the cafe.

Found this on Google, read the reviews and went there. Excellent. Though more of a light bites cafe than full on big breakfast type place. I had the vegan Tina and Cucumber pitta. In fact it was so nice I ordered it twice :) Great staff, really nice and friendly. Also is in a kids playground. My only suggestion would be to get a sprinkler and small mower to make a nice lawn on the currently very dry grass next to Cafe.

Great coffee, great staff. Overpriced cupcakes though :)) otherwise great place. One can host parties there as well as run craft clubs or any other meet ups. Highly recommend.

I come here all the time with my friends! It’s great value for money and the ambience is amazing. There are also games to play (free of charge) and excellent service from warm, friendly employees. It’s location is brilliant and is really thriving in the community. There are also vegan and gluten free options ;)
