Worst food we have ever had, in fact I’ve spent the car ride home trying to not be sick! Told to sit in bar as had not booked, but no one else was even in the place when we arrived! Ordered 2 surf and turf, upgraded to fillet steak. Well, it was like lumps of leather, chips were dry, calamari was cooked in what seems to be dirty old oil and the prawns were awful! The kids meals came out, had different types sausages on one plate and the beans were dried out. We were refunded but still the worst experience I can honestly say I’ve ever had. £80 for 2 adults and 2 children and we all left hungry and feeling sick.

Food was very poor steak tasted like road kill chips where just soaked in fat this was a mix girll with upgraded steak I'd hate to know what the standard steak was like . Kids meals was just as bad got about 8 beans as a side again chips was shocking and the smothered chicken looked terrible. I would avoid this place at all costs considering it was £75 for 2 mains and 2 kids meals and 3 drinks well over priced the quality was I'd say worth £20 at best . Staff have no clue and the chef needs the sack and work at McDonald's which is actually better quality and cheaper. Waste of money. Thank me later .

As we didn't book a table we had to sit in the bar area which was completely understandable. Before we even finished ordering at the bar, someone else's food was put on our table. There were only 2 other tables in the bar that had someone sitting on. We had ordered 3 kids meal with 2 mini corn on the cob, there was only 1 tiny corn on the cob on each plate. We queried this with the waiter and he was told "just give them 2 more". Had to correct him it was 3 kids meal ordered so 3 more. The food was disgusting, like they used old oil for the battered fish and it wasore chewy than crispy. The loaded nachos portion was tiny and no flavour if you got one with no cheese. The cucumbers in the veg sticks were warm. The waiter was so rude as it seemed we were putting him out by asking for things that was wrong or not provided like sauces. Will never return to this place!

Stopped by for much needed food & rest on our journey back home.It is conveniently located on a main road.There's a small Premier Inn right next to it & a Cricket ground behind.

I haven’t eaten here for a while, but chose to use the Meercat 25% discount voucher on a Sunday late afternoon. It was a very underwhelming experience with pleasant staff going through the motions, with one team member on her phone while tables had not been cleared. Simple needs such as not serving sugar with coffee. When asked, two packets were proudly presented even though I was asked for my sugar preference. The food was OK but nothing special while the decor is exhausted and needs freshening up. I used to run nationwide “Mystery Shopper” campaigns so I have a fair understanding of the pressures faced in restaurants. This one smacked of no real leadership and motivation. It’s a pity when staff feel they’re on their game when they’ve actually slipped into poor habits. Some refresher trading and a re-look at their mission wouldn’t hurt.

We were given a warm welcome and quickly seated. Both Becca and Lee gave us excellent friendly service and were a credit to your company. The food was hot and delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Thank you.

Stopped in for a meal after a day out in Windsor, they had seating available for walk ins which was really nice. The girl that served us was lovely and helpful. The calamari here is to die for. It’s absolutely delicious. Steak was cooked perfectly for me (I like mine Rare). Kids meals are 3 courses for £6.99 which is a bargain and everyone was lovely and full.

Just had a brilliant time at our favourite restaurant. Delicious Sunday roast with my family. Staff were very busy but as always we received excellent service from a super team. Can't recommend enough and can't wait until we visit again

Where do I begin? Friday 10-5-24 roughly about 21:45 the girl behind the bar needs disciplinary action taken towards her, I’ve never experienced such rude and obnoxious behaviour by a member off staff, after a perfect day at ascot races come back for a quick night cap to be told closed not serving you go away, website says closes at 23:00. This was a member of staff from beefeater NOT premier inn. After a heated exchange of words the woman from premier inn was perfect and very professional. Now the girl working this shift for beefeater should not have anything to do with a public service job. Also breakfast was terrible didn’t even have orange juice

Sticky tables too much ice in drinks piss poor menu. And poor management! Tiny portion sizes makes you want to go down the chippy afterwards. It's not good anyone who likes this place needs to go to spec savers.

Went at a quiet time of day, staff were friendly and attentive, didn't have to wait too long for food which was very good so no complaints, interior looking a bit tired. At the end of the meal was given a 25% off voucher for the next visit.

I am only marking this down a little as it's not my preferred style but my mum and dad enjoy the menu. Good portions, served quickly. Clean and good choice of non-alcoholic drinks.

Firstly a big thank you to Becca for amazing service this evening for my husbands birthday meal , this was our first time visiting this particular Beefeater as we’ve only moved to the area last year. We booked a table easily and were seated quickly with our children we were welcomed by Becca and another male waiter sorry we didn’t catch his name but he was also very polite and attentive :) Our food was delicious and cooked well we will definitely be returning as we were pleasantly surprised. Our four year old daughter even went back in to say thank you to Becca ha ha lovely that our kids felt equally happy with Beccas service this evening. Atmosphere was 4 as lights were very bright above the table which was a little off putting but restaurant overall was clean tidy and comfortable Thank you

It was our first time dining in this place. We got table for two. Table was sticky, chairs were dirty. Experience was not the best. The service was very slow. We ordered stonebaked garlic flatbread as a starter, it did not taste fresh,no flavour at all, looked grey. We did not get any sauce with it. It was just dry. Double stack burger was nice, but the size was quite small. If it wasn't for the salad and fries, we would have left starving. Apple pie was okay, tasted like the ones bought in the store. Nothing special. The server was very polite, professional with a positive attitude.

Really lovely restaurant with very helpful staff. The lunch time menu was extremely good value and tasty. Plenty of seating options and decor very cool. Looking forward to going a back 👍

Hoping for a Sunday roast but had run out by 17.00 very disappointing!

Special meet with a friend for my 80th. Several times here before, happily. Not today. Service was excellent, clean pleasant premises. Ordered 3 sirloin steaks. Mine arrived black & cremated, & half the size of 2 others served. Refused it, asked for replacement. Wife and guest ate while I waited. Replacement arrv'd barely better than the first. I ate lunch on my own. Steak was charred tough and chewy, OTT 'well done'. My wife's 'medium' steak was also tough and chewy, & very big thick gristle along top. Our guest's steak was good, thankfully. Chips, sides, coffee were excellent. A ££ gesture was made, and appreciated. But a special lunch was ruined.

I was staying at the adjoining Premier Inn hotel and bought a "meal deal package" that included evening meal and breakfast. The menu has a good selection of burgers and grills and a good kids menu. I wasn't expecting anything special but my sirloin steak was a fairly good cut and cooked exactly how I requested (kudos to the chef). Breakfast is a hybrid affair, between 7am and 9am it's table service which means that each order is freshly cooked and brought to you. . After 9am it switches to a self service buffet. The staff on both breakfast and dinner duty were attentive, efficient and engaging. Overall a positive experience.

Down-market and grubby. We used to love coming here but in the last year it's deteriorated and they obviously have toilet problems: out of order and smell badly

Worst experience ever, old vegetables, tiny portions, not fresh ingredients. Staff not trained about allergy, they just bring book for you and ask you to search. Staff not friendly at all.

Would never eat here again, to cut a long story short we stayed at the Premier Inn and paid for the meal deal. We both ordered starter and main. Waitress didn't tell kitchen about starters and brought mains out. Argued about the order. Finally agreed we had ordered starters, offered them as sides instead (weird), got snotty about us wanting meal in correct order and told us we could order pudding instead (wife is diabetic so wouldn't work for us). She only agreed to redo the order after my wife found extra protein on her plate in the form of a squashed gnatty type fly. 20 mins later cold mushrooms and rubber Calamari arrived which we sort of ate. 30 mins later Steak and Burger turned up which were just ok (burger roll dry and burnt and had to point out I ordered fries not chips). The whole meal was nothing special at all. We didn't get any kind of apology for her mistake and got made to feel like it was our fault for not agreeing to her completely unacceptable options to cover her error that had made the whole experience so terrible. Do yourself a favour, if you stay at the hotel (which was great btw), don't bother with the attached excuse for a restaurant with it's rude staff, there are plenty more local restaurants to give your hard earned money to.

Food was terrible . Portion sizes awefull and forget pigs in blankets . 3 little piggies for 4 pounds. Awefull value . New owners tried his best with free coffee but dont waste ur time . Harvester in frimley far better food . PRices and staff .

We ordered off the festive menu, the roast turkey dinner was delicious I would of rated 5 stars for food, but the brussel sprouts were the worst I have ever tasted ( hard and I likened them to water bags) best description I can give. But on the plus side roast potatoes were perfect

Went there today the food was so overcooked yet cold at the same time… When mentioned staff not interested ! Avoid the steak and the melted chicken !! The servers tried their best but so understaffed to cope with the amount of people , which in all fairness wasn’t that many ! The chiefs need to be re trained and take care over the food they cook and, not leave it standing under heat lamps for so long before serving . Will not be going back .

We were a big group and Mo looked after us - what a lovely man! He made everyone feel welcome and looked after.

Shocked with the service the person seating guests were turning us away as we didn't have a booking, which we thought was weird as the restaurant was half empty at lunchtime. So we went to the car to make a booking, which had plenty availability, when we went back inside, the same person still wouldn't allow us to be seated and said that they are fully booked. And unable to take anymore guest. As we were taking our kids to LaplandUK we didn't want to make a fuss over it, however i do feel we was discriminated against possibly because of our race.

Today, nine of us went for a festive meal, having previously booked with menu choices. Sadly the whole experience was TERRIBLE! The service was slow, with plastic turkey, sprouts like bullets and the overall meal utterly tasteless. Staff shortage was blamed on the service, but there was no apology from a somewhat diffident manager. I'm not sure we'll be dining there again in a hurry!

Good food, I'm a regular here. But they often run out of certain breakfast items.

This has got to be the worst meal me and my family have ever had. Starter and main meal all dried out. Was left under heat lamps way too long. Service was to slow, got fed up waiting had to complain. 2 beers were ordered. Had more head than beer in glass. Complained to customer service. And was basically told thanks for feedback and they were going to do nothing to help. AVOID THIS RESTAURANT.

Perfectly fine place for a family gathering

My pint of Doom Bar real ale was off, stale and smelled of vinegar. This is caused by wild yeasts and bacteria which should not be in the system forming acetic acid. I complained to the bar man and he swopped it for Guinness. Over an hour and a half later a man on the next table took his Doom Bar back and complained for the same reason. I know this because I spoke to him about it. The bar man had continued to serve the Doom Bar knowing that it was off. What a nasty, cheap skate way to mistreat their customers hoping that they will be too embarrassed to complain. To be fair our waitress was very sweet and the food was fine. I will not be going back.

Recently visited the Cricketers due to taking my girls to Legoland, we always stay at the Premier Inn as it's very close by and because The Cricketers is nextdoor to the Premier Inn, the service the atmosphere and the food is first class, admittedly we do go out of way to be served by Rebecca as she is absolutely wonderful, couldn't be anymore helpful even if she tried, plus my grandkids like her as she always gives them colouring to do , 5 stars for Rebecca

Service was very slow mainly due to apparant staff shortages. We had a similar experience in August, but at least on that occasion we had been informed of the issue by the manager prior to taking our seats. The tables were very sticky and had not been wiped properly (our napkins were stuck to the surface). We were seated in the conservatory area, which was quite full and noisy, whereas there was lots of space in the main restaurant area. We had to wait some time before our order for drinks and food was taken. The cauliflower cheese was not available (similarly it had not been available the last time we visited in August) which was surprising as this is a staple extra to have with roast dinners. Our order was served relatively quickly, and we were offered sauces but these did not materialise and required two reminders to eventually receive them. We were not offered any further drinks. We asked for the menu to order desserts, and these came quite quickly. Sadly the apple pie was a disaster (pastry very wet and the apple filling had hard bits of core and rind, which was very unappetising). The Cricketers has, in the past, been a very good venue but sadly, the quality and service seems to have fallen from its previous high.

Got 40% discount. 4 of us had great gammon steaks. The staff were friendly. One of the loos was shut but not a problem

I have to leave these guys a 5 star rating for our meal tonight at the cricketers in bagshot! My youngest son has severe allergies and eating out is very stressful and difficult for us. He never has much choice on the menu but tonight he had a few options and it was so refreshing. The staff were very attentive, making sure we had freshly washed and sanitised cutlery (so there was 100% no chance of cross contamination). The allergen book was very easy to follow. Our waiter was smiley, kind and helpful as were other staff we had interactions with. Thank you for making our evening an enjoyable one. We will be back soon!

Went in on Sunday evening after booking. Shown to a table which was sticky and under it there was dropped food. We asked to change to another table but was told we couldn't have it because it was set for six and we were two! Service was slow - not enough trained staff. We decided to find somewhere else to eat.

Food was overcooked and dry. Not likely to return 😒

Booking only on days when they feel that there food is too low but don't day that on the Web site staff didn't help or care even tho we asked day before come ...

The service was good here, and the food that you expect of a beefeater. It was prompt and tasty. Sadly they had no whippy ice cream and replaced it with rubbish scooped ice cream, which caused a stir with our children.

Had a lovely breakfast last Saturday. Tom and Tiggy were very kind & went above & beyond to make sure our food was kept warm whilst we waited for the latecomers to arrive. Very friendly service

Popped in to watch the cricket next door whilst enjoying a cheeky pint. It's clearly run for the restaurant, as the garden which could be lovely has been let go. Shame really but still a good pint of moretti :-)

Just had the best night with the staff at the Cricketers. The Manager was amazing, he picked up on my families sense of humour and played to it. 5 years for me visiting the UK and I truly can’t thank the staff and management enough. So much fun, great food so much fun! Thank you! We will be back, sorry! 😜

Disappointed arrived at 8.30pm (food service was supposed to be until 9) for a meal on our way home and was turned away because they had served too many people. This is definitely the first time I have ever been in a restaurant and refused entry as they have served too many people during the day. There was loads of tables available so all I can surmise is that they were either too lazy to serve us or they had run out of food neither looks very good on a chain restaurant. We visit the area regularly and intended to use this pub as a go to for our dinners on a Sunday but will now use our new favourite Miller and Carters who are just down the road. Food and service are exceptional and they finish serving food at 9.45 pm. We do have to thank you. If it wasn't for you turning us away we would have never found this gem.

What a shame. Extortionate crazy prices , confusing menu & shocking kids menu. Lovely staff but the owner obviously doesn't listen to them. Empty restaurant. Off to McDonald's.

Service was as usually expected but I found a hair in my mixed grill meal and pointed it out initially - I was asked if I'd like my egg replacing. Later I found a piece of microwaved plastic in the chicken - I got a smiley apology..... Disappointing. Maybe this is what is expected at a Harvester....

We enjoyed a meal with three friends as we do on a regular basis at The Cricketers. As usual, the food and drink were very good - definitely value for money - and our server, Karen, was, as always, very, very good. Karen is friendly, professional and is an ideal ambassador for the company. An excellent evening, in good company and well looked after.

Veg burger was nice, but the experience was spoiled by the lack of peas and one grumpy staff member. Thank goodness another staff member was more engaged with what customer service is.

We just had an excellent dinner for the second night in a row at this restaurant with very good service from Mo, the waiter, who was very courteous and efficient. I can strongly recommend the rump steak. Thank you Mo.

I chose the king prawn and scallop dish as my starter. The prawns were very dry as though they had been sitting under the service plate for ages. There was no sauce and the whole dish was very disappointing. Chose the roast beef Sunday roast which reminded me of a frozen meal. Will not be visiting again.....ever!

Visited today in a large group. Very nice staff and extremely helpful and nice manager. Food was ok but they were out of pepper sauce for the 1/2 chicken. On the whole everyone was more than happy with the meals and they were nice and hot. No complaints at all. Thank you for you hospitally. See you again soon.

Wouldn't bother. Couldn't cater for 2 people for breakfast as we hadn't booked. Bonkers. It's a buffet style and you could have fitted us in if you really wanted to. Thanks a million.not.

Booked table for valentines menu on the 17th (which was supposed to be on till the 18th)when we got there the reception said you are here for the Valentine's menu then took us to our table, after 20mins seated the waitress came over to take our order and we said we are here for the Valentine's menu, we were then told that was unavailable, very unhappy

Turned up for a valentines meal. Took a while to be acknowledged for seating, more wait to get our drinks, more wait to take our orders which was from an valentines menu only, then after an hour of being there seated we were told they had lost our order and would we like to reorder our meals. Told them not to bother and left. The place was noisy and no effort to make it feel like a valentines evening. Certainly Won't go back again.

I'd have love to give them ZERO star. My salmon & grilled veg was literally drowning in oil, the surf burger was filled with chilly sauce my son couldnt finish it, we had to wait for over 15mins just for a fizzy drink refill. Once we addressed the issue with the main course the witness apologised & told us to pin the card number at the same breath! Honestly what on earth was she thinking? No way I'd ever come back for this disgusting & sickening food, more of a cause of high blood pressure & a cause of high cholesterol. Please tell the chef to chill out his facial expressions was showing nothing but frustration... he needs time off to chill!

Nice food , staff welcoming atmosphere was nice for a lunchtime. You can't sit for food in the restaurant until 12 so sat in the bar area until 12 only 5 minutes.

disappointed with the mushrooms, were overcooked too hard and crunchy, also could have done with a bit of greenery on the plate to make it look more appetising. Same with the steak dish even a tomatoe would have made it better, not busy at all, 6 of us, could have done with sitting on the round table for eight did ask but directed to a table for 6 all felt squashed, as it was raining outside and nowhere to put the wet coats and handbags so had on lap. Service was ok, felt rushed at the end when still drinking coffee she came over to give us the bill not as if it was busy.

Really has gone downhill over the last few years. Went again yesterday and booked for 7pm, to get a phone call nearly 5pm asking if we can come in at 6.30pm with some excuse. Got there expecting place to be packed but there was a few tables being used. Told only that the 3 course boxing day menu is available at £26.95. Ordered the turkey and trimmings and the potatoes were overdone. I asked if they can take the plate back, but they said they will make some fresh roasties. Took so long that I had eaten the rest of the dinner (which was superb). Understood that they wanted us in early so they can close up the kitchen early.

I only put one star as you have to in order to leave a review. I Went to this branch today I usually use downshire way I booked a 10:30 table of breakfast for me and my family. When I arrived there was no bread , pancakes , fruit or anything for that matter left in the continental breakfast section?? Also no clean cups for hot drinks. We was then told that there was no hash browns available, we then waited for our order to be taken even though multiple items were not available to then be told that there’s no food left and we cannot order anything! surely we could of been sent a message to say that food was not available rather than making me and my family drive down to not eat it’s now 11am and it’s to late to book breakfast somewhere else as we are travelling for Christmas which means my child has now gone without breakfast will not be using this branch again it a let down to your chain and totally unacceptable in my opinion

If you are looking for a Sunday roast dinner after 2pm, don't bother booking here - they NEVER have any available from this time. We were told they only order limited stocks, and when we questioned why they don't make it clear that a roast is not something they serve all day, we were met with a very rude and sarcastic "well I'm telling you now" from the male front of house staff member. Several groups came in after us and turned around disappointed. Because they use the same chicken for the roast dinners as they do other options, there's none of that left at 2pm afterwards, so you're left with the option of Fish & Chips, Burgers or Steaks. The food used to be great but has gone downhill with quite small portions. And the ladies toilets were disgusting, my wife complained and was met with another terse response from the same staff member without apology. The lack of a roast dinner was disappointing enough but there was no excuse for the rudeness of the staff member.

Breakfast business meeting this morning was made so much better having wonderful serving staff especially Patrick, who was obviously rushed off his feet and under staffed but still managed to serve us with a friendly smile, the food was cooked to perfection with all our needs meet. Can’t thank the staff enough especially patrick who went above and beyond his call of duty, well done

45 mins wait for food, two out of three of our meals arrived barely warm. They were replaced quickly and were hot the second time around but came back with some of the vegetables missing. Tables and cutlery were sticky even though I saw them being cleaned. Lots of items on the menu were unavailable and heard multiple customers complaining about wait times. I could see that there were around 8 meals sitting under the hot plates waiting to go out but not enough staff to get them to the tables. The food was ok but nothing special. I've had better quality ready meals from Sainsburys. The only saving grace was our waitress was very polite despite being rushed off her feet and clearly far too many tables booked for the staff levels.

Booked Sunday roast for 6 but very disappointing as beef, lamb and roast potatoes all over cooked even at 13.00, and 4 items not available on the menu. First time using this beefeater but got to say looks very run down, sticky tables and stained chairs. However, Bobbi served us and 5 stars for her, very attractive and polite.

Stopped here for a coffee and snack lunch. Very quiet at Tuesday lunchtime but that suited us. Food very tasty and large portions. Great value.

Popped in on a Saturday lunchtime for a light lunch, decided on a sandwich only to be told that the menu we had picked up off of the table was Mon-Fri lunchtimes only. Looked at the main menu, didn't want anything too big so left without buying anything. Why not remove the menus when they are not available?

I reserved a table for a Sunday roast, when I arrived I was told there were no roast, as I was already there I decided to stay anyway, the the waitress came over for my order and listed half a dozen more things that were off the menu, then I decided to find somewhere else.

Loved our visit today food was great. Absolutely fab service Tom was super helpful and friendly. Good value for money. Highly recommended.

Lovely meal, food excellent (apart from no kids pizza but a minor inconvenience). My son asked if they done milkshakes as we're seated which they don't, but after seeing how much he was looking forward to a milkshake the manager magiced one up just for him! Patrick our server was brilliant, very impressed how he managed to get everything spot on without taking notes of our order! And even with training another staff member he didn't let our experience slip. We've been to a couple off beefeaters around the area (bracknell & sandhurst) but Bagshot is definitely our one of choice now! We will be back very soon 😊

Family meal on a quiet Monday evening. Food quality was awful, standard of cooking and presentation dreadful. Our server was helpful and pleasant but the restaurant managers were condescending, rude and worked as little as possible whilst clearing the restaurant of paying customers so they can enjoy free drinks.

Rebecca and Silva are the best hosts l have met 🤗 very helpful and happy in their jobs 😁👍

Comfortable friendly and great value

Although the food was decent, we sat down and waited 40 minutes to have our order for hot food taken. We had to ask about this as well even though the table next to us had their order taken and were given food so the waitress walked past us a number of times.
