I run a local Women's Institute group, and we had lunch together at the Crabtree a few months ago. Subsequently, we decided to return for our annual Christmas lunch last month. There were 35 of us, and as we had preordered, we were hoping not to have to wait too long to be served. The service was a little intermittent and a bit disorganised as the food didn't all come out of the kitchen at the same time so that a number of people had finished eating before others had even started. To be fair, there were very few staff serving and they worked very hard and with good humour. The food was tasty and well presented but there were a couple of ladies who were served last who said their food was cold. We do accept that serving 35 people all at the same time is a massive undertaking and we thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon anyway. We were allowed to run a raffle and a Secret Santa and were given plenty of time to pack up and leave despite the fact that another party was due to arrive after us. Our sincere thanks to the manager and staff for their kindness and hospitality from us all at Cove Village Friends WI.

Would not recommend this place at all. ❌Awful food, went here for Christmas dinner and never had a worse meal in my life. Got given 2 slithers of meat, 4 tiny tiny potatoes, and an eggcups worth of veg & gravy with a cremated Yorkshire pudding, was truly awful when paying about £14 for that, shocking. Then came again for a steak which was mostly fat, had a starter of prawns and they only gave me 2 !! 2 tiny battered prawns for like £6? honestly never coming back again for anything, food used to be good back in the day but has now slipped into crap.

The food was good and the staff are always helpful and friendly.

Great roast with excellent roast potatoes at a good price! Good portion size and I got the deal with the starter and pudding thrown in for an extra £5. Lovely staff and a nice peaceful atmosphere, perfect for a quiet rainy Sunday!

Boxing Day Lunch/Dinner 2024 Wasn't up to The Crabtree's usual standard. We were very disappointed with the quality of the food that day, mushy carrots, hard Brie Wedges, small portions of cheese on the cheese platter, no selection of biscuits (all the same type) dirty glasses

Lovely pub, decent food but the service and atmosphere make the place somewhere I enjoy visiting with my family. If your looking for somewhere, relaxed and welcoming with comfort food this is the place to go.

Very prompt and polite service, quiet and relaxing atmosphere, staff warm and welcoming with time to converse nothing too much trouble. Our server Matthew was very polite, helpful and answered questions regarding menu choices which prompted us to stay for pudding :). Having never been to an Ember Inn previously after today's experience will happily return.

DO NOT GO HERE…… Amy the general manager is rude, aggressive, unwelcoming and unable to communicate clearly in a respectable manner. All customers be aware you will be turned away from an empty restaurant, as the tables are booked with no reserved signs. She will move you from every table saying and not explaining the table is reserved but instead offering you to sit outside on a cold and dark December day with a baby. Her lack of friendly communication or even a smile was intimidating. We were not welcomed or explained too that she was unable to accommodate us but made it rather awkward for us instead. Her lack of training in managerial situations is disgusting, with a vile attitude. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

Was here for a Christmas meal. Nice pub to pop in too.

I ate a Christmas lunch here yesterday with a large group of friends. The dinner was absolutely delicious, turkey especially very tasty and very generous with all the veggies etc. Pudding lovely too!

We had breakfast with Santa… a wonderful experience, staff all very helpful and friendly… breakfast excellent and Father Christmas made my Sons Day… such a warm welcome from Mrs Christmas.. would highly recommend

We have been to the crabtree now for a number of years and everytime we go it gets better and better each time . Are food came out and it was piping hot - well done to the kitchen team . Keep up this fantastic work . Plus front of house - again amazing to have plenty of staff on duty last night . The manager at this venue is doing a fantastic job of delivering great customer service and bringing their team together , to deliver a brilliant customer experience.

Matthew served us and he went above and beyond and answered all of our questions. He was a diligent bartender and even recommended drinks for us to purchase which we did.

Being honest, we only came here because the carvery we wanted to go to was fully booked, but we are so glad we ended up at The Crabtree! The staff were all lovely, efficient and friendly. The food was absolutely top quality. Good ingredients, perfectly cooked and presented, and exceptional value. I genuinely don't know how you do it for the price, it was all delicious. Highly recommend the rib of beef Sunday roast, and don't hesitate to add the cauliflower cheese as this was piping hot and perfectly cheesy. We will be back, well done and thanks to all the staff, you made our family meal special indeed.

Nice meal, fast service, very affordable

Came in to check out their Sunday roasts and was genuinely impressed at the menu and quality of food here. All of the turkey, gammon and beef were delicious and cooked nicely. Excellent Yorkshire puddings and the cauliflower cheese was spot on. Generous portions at a very reasonable price. Professional and friendly service. Will be recommending to others and returning!

The welcome and service was excellent. The food was amazing. Our group enjoyed the quality of the food and the cooking. My own gammon steak was thick and cooked to perfection, accompanied by two fried eggs, peas and chips. A great atmosphere. I would certainly come back again. Thank you for making our evening enjoyable and memorable.

Lovely little pub, lots to choose from and the food is incredible, 3 courses for £12.99 was a really nice surprise also, the food on this menu was plated and cooked incredibly. Really would recommend I went for lunch on a Wednesday so it was nice and quiet, not sure what it's like in peak however

Nice pub food average value for money ok

Never been here before but will not return. Had sirlion steak which was very chewy so had to leave most of it. Only one mushroom and the ring onions were not they were just fried scraps! chips OK. I complained to staff and asked for compensation suggesting a dessert which I got. Had to take my plate up to the bar as was waiting a long time for anybody to clear our table, my husbands sausage was not very well cooked also. Dissapointed not worth the money.

First time trying this pub, at a glance the pub is clean, and quiet for a Saturday evening. We ordered the tandoori chicken, ribs with Mac and cheese and a chicken, bacon and avocado salad totalling £68. The food came relatively quickly within 20 minutes but one order was incorrect and was supposed to be for the table opposite us. The server had at this time already left leaving someone else's food in our care unattended, she then came back to collect it and delivered it to the correct table. I am shocked at the lack of care this pub takes when handling food. I mentioned my concerns to the manager and she brazenly told me that no law prevented this practice. luckily for the other costumer, my nephew didn't sneeze or add additional seasoning to the wrong order because the absence of care from the staff her was abundant. We did eventually get the order correct but it just got worse. If you're looking for authentic tandoori this is not the place. It was dry, sour and the accompanying bread could remove a filing. The salad was ok but not nearly worth it's £12 price tag and if sub par food wasn't enough, you could always speak to the manager and that will be enough to make you never want to return. She did agree to refund the cost of the tandoori chicken but the service she gave us was so appalling that I wouldn't even consider a second chance. What a shame.

Awful service, lack of care when handling food. Manager is ok with food being left on the wrong table possibly tampered with and then delivered to the correct table, which is exactly my experience this evening.

Nice family friendly local but they don’t let dogs in so if you’re taking Fido then you’ll need to sit outside. But there are heaters outside so it’s not the end of the world.

First time visiting the Crabtree. It seemed nice enough inside but we felt a little letdown by the food. The rainbow lasagne I had was either cooked too long or left under the heat lamp, but either way it was a touch dried out. It tasted better than it looked though. I was told that the other meal, the sausage and mash, also seemed a little dry. It was all okay, but I hoped for better.

I really appreciate Mathew excellent hospitality. Whenever im here always best service , good food & great atmosphere .

Amazing sunday roast. I’m a firm believer that nailing roast potatoes is crucial to a solid roast and the Crabtree absolutely delivered on this front. Drinks were served cold and promptly, always ideal. And the staff were all incredibly attentive and chatty. Overall would highly recommend.

Food was great and so was the service. One of the waiters even bowed to me.

Went to this pub for the first time for our anniversary, so it was supposed to be a romantic meal. We were Given a table next to a door despite making a reservation 3 days prior, so it was freezing cold every time someone walked in. The starters were small portions, the mains we both chose they couldn’t make so had to choose something else. I ordered a vegan burger that came out looking like a kids meal, it was tiny , and completely tasteless and with no accompanying sauces such a vegan mayonnaise. The salt containers were empty so we had to take one off another table and that was empty too. My husband’s meal was bland too. I had the biscotti dessert, sadly it was filled with nothing but whipped cream with half a tablespoon of ice cream that was already melted by the time it arrived at the table . Overall terrible, tasteless meal. I do not recommend.

Good enough pub serving standard pub classics well. Been here twice recently and only downgraded slightly as one of rhe bar staff ignored me to serve regulars instead and then just shrugged at me when I pointed out she had served two groups who had arrived at the bar after me. Shame because the lady who was on the second time couldn't have been more pleasant amd fun.

Popped into Crab Tree with inlaws as spurs of moment thing had lovely meal and Mathew the waiters was very friendly and helpful. Will definitely go again.

Great atmosphere for our staff party.

This pub use to be my local. We had our very informatl wedding reception there 50 years ago and decided to return. We invited a few friends and the evening went very well, the service and food were all great (we had the platinum buffet) at a very good price. All in all no complaints or reservations at all.

I liked how Dara looked after us during dinner at the restaurant.

Another enjoyable evening at the Crab. We had food and drinks and did the quiz, as we have been doing for many years. Curtis and Jade working hard as usual making the whole evening a pleasurable one.

Great local, the food was lovely and Jordan was very helpful and patient with all our changes and requests. Can recommend the halloumi and chips.

Very good service and good. Only issue was that the cue to order was quite long and only one till was open, the lady was doing the job of 10, so props to her.

What a shame, should have been a special treat with family - but in fact we wished we hadn’t gone! We asked for a table by the window - which we got, but still very hot and stuffy in the restaurant. Venue looks scruffy. Dirty, sticky menus. Outside area needs a good sweep and clean! Not one member of staff acknowledged us … or smiled! We couldn’t use the QR code to order our meals, so we eventually ordered at the bar. No one checked if our food was ok. Our meals were fine, but the customer service in general, urgently needs improving before we would return.

The whole evening was extremely enjoyable. We had food and drinks. The food came promptly and was exactly as ordered even though we were a large group. The guys that served us were so helpful and welcoming. Curtis greeted us the moment we walked through the door and ensured we were catered for the entire time. Jade, Katie and Dara were also working at the time and made our visit an experience we would definitely recommend to others.

While having a spa break in Camberley we decided to venture out in search of a Sunday Roast. We stumbled upon The Crabtree and I have to say I’m glad we did. The staff where friendly and attentive Curtis who took our order was great and even came outside to make sure everything was ok. We ordered roast beef rib with all the trimmings, roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings & a medley of vegetables. Along side this you are able to order extras We decided on roast potatoes & gravy, Yorkshire puddings & cauliflower cheese. We really enjoyed the food my only gripe was that the roast potatoes are similar to “aunt Bessie’s frozen roast potatoes” I think if the potatoes had been fresh peeled Oven roasties then I personally would give the meal 5 stars. I have to say the meal was really good value 2 roast dinners 5 sides and 2 pints of soft drink came in at under £50 which was amazing value for money. All in all. We thought The Crabtree was a great little find really nice welcoming staff all really friendly & smiley they couldn’t do enough for you. The overall look of the pub was nice, I’m thinking they have undergone a refurbishment recently And it’s been nicely done. Lovely garden to with ample tables and chairs we were able to eat outside seeing as the weather was warm and sunny. We would definitely return if we are in camberley in the future.

Amazing service and a great choice

went in early Saturday evening as a party of 4, fir a start girl at the bar was totally disinterested and couldn't manage a welcome smile. went to the bar to order food, 4 different dishes and every one of them was not available along with a list of other dishes not available. We left. disgraceful that a restaurant should be short half the menu at mid weekend

Came here tonight (18th July) around 8:35pm and 7 people waiitng in que with one person behind bar serving tea and coffee which of course takes ages. This isn't the first time this has happened. It's a Thursday, hot weather. Your pub will be busy. Get some more staff!!!

Used them for a long time. Always pleasant staff. Clean and well maintained. Sadly does do Pub quizzes, but nobody is perfect. Parking spaces are a bit tight for larger cars.

I’m a frequent customer and l always find it very good to excellent. Amy and her team work hard to give very good service. The food is good always arrives hot which is a plus as far as I’m concerned. I last visited on Father’s which is a testing time for service but it was still very good. Thank you
