We had a beautiful Sunday roast at the Cricketer’s Arms. We had incredible service from Jess who provided us with great recommendations, had excellent knowledge of the menu and a happy smile. All of our food was delicious and served promptly. Thank you for a lovely Sunday lunch!

Proper pub ,good location across from cricket field if that's your thing.

Best roast I had in my life. I got the ham! Waiter was Holly and was super nice to us.

Overheard one barman say to another to not fill up a pint to the very top of the glass because it will “save the pub around a pound”. Very strange…

Wonderful bar, excellent food and service!

Sunday. Roast. Whoever tries to roast British cuisine is officially coming from a place of ignorance. That beef was music to my taste buds. It was God speaking in tongues. I got a food high half way through and stayed high like 10 minutes after finishing. This dish is a reason to protect this country at all costs. I'll be embarking on a quest to find a roast in the UK that comes even close to this. Angus, the waiter, is a natural PR talent. I'll be back.

Difficult to find descriptive words without sounding OTT. Was astounding. Value, excellent, tasty, great atmosphere, friendly, comfortable and although massively popular and busy still had ample seating. The best dining experience for several years. Thanks to Lia and Leon. Will see you again on another trip.

Used to be one of our favorite pubs around Richmond ;(green) visit on a Monday evening: Short staffed - unfriendly - asked for some water for my dog. Didn’t get it. Guinness badly poured. Won’t see me again for a while.

Really nice place with really good food. We did the roasts and although really tasty, the deserts standed out the most. Loved the cheesecake and the sticky toffee cake. Our server, Chessie, was really kind, thoughtful and present. It really brightened our lunch. Thank you!

Jessica provided an amazing service! She was super attentive and accommodating to us and our dog. She brought over a big cup full of treats and a bowl of water without us even asking! The food all came out super quick and Jessica made sure to check on us and answer any questions we had about the menu. The food was really tasty , which is always a bonus!

Traditional pub on Richmond Green. Was quiet when we were there on a Tuesday Evening but I imagine it can get very busy during the summer and on weekends

All the staff, especially the waiter Chessie, were very talkative and funny. Will definitely come back again!

Ate at the Cricketers on a Sunday after an England rugby match. Pub was very busy but the staff, especially Alicia, were very helpful, food was hot and tasty.

We had lunch and drinks before the theatre; the food was delicious! The cheese straws with truffled artichoke dip had such a fantastic flavour we ordered a second portion, and the Scotch Egg with mustard mayo and the leek and potato soup were good too. We sat in the window overlooking the green and the service was attentive and friendly. We were made to feel very welcome and so were the two dogs accompanying other patrons, who were given bowls of water. The only thing letting it down was the smell of stale beer; the pub dates from 1770 and the smell may have lingered since then, too!

Tenía el curry de langostinos, que era excelente, (habría apreciado un Poppadum), pero estaba excepcionalmente bien presentado y muy, muy sabroso. Las Steak Frites fue otra excelente opción, generosa en tamaño de porción, y muy bien cocinado. Los budines eran agradables, aunque las porciones eran un poco pequeñas. Aparte de eso, este era un bar maravilloso, excelente ubicación y el personal más amable.

Had a great night in the Cricketer's pub, a gem of a place in a fab location. Rugby was on and the atmosphere was brilliant. Service was great even when it was busy. Bar staff were all good- but a shout out to "Leo" who served us a couple of times, he was polite and helpful. Highly Recommend.

Yo estaba con un amigo que estaba de visita de América y era agradable y acogedor - podíamos escucharnos hablar así que tuvimos la oportunidad de ponerse al día con buena comida y una buena botella de vino. El pub en sí es lindo, pisos de madera y bar. Es uno de los más antiguos de Richmond, por lo que tiene un ambiente inglés auténtico encantador. Lovely lunch, amazing table right by the window with a view over Richmond green. Chessie was wonderful, really friendly and helpful. One small note, could've been more mushy peas!

Nice pub but disappointing roast. Staff were excellent and very attentive but unfortunately the food let them down. I have never left a pub after a roast still feeling hungry before! They offer one solitary carrot, and a small scoop of kale. The yorkshire was clearly not homemade and tasted quite fake. The chicken was tasty but mainly bones. Would definitely recommend for a nice drink by the Green but would love if they offered better food.

Really bad Sunday roast. I had the roast beef for £21.50. The beef was chewy and overcooked, horseradish and Yorkshire pudding not homemade, and the veg was 1/2 a carrot and a tablespoon of kale. Really poor quality and value. Feeling very ripped off!

We booked at the last minute for three on a busy Friday. The staff who took the booking were friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere is warm, vibrant. Excellent food. Adequate choice, and well executed. All the staff were welcoming, immensely pleasant and engaging. Sonja and Jess went out of their way to ensure service was of of the highest quality. Recommended.

I cannot speak more highly of Josh and his crew! I had my 40th birthday here and Josh and team went to great lengths to make sure I had a great time. We had drinks and the band on the ground floor and food was served on the first floor over looking the green. Food was delicious, beers great and they could cater for everyone. A great spot and it really made my birthday that bit more special. Thanks guys.

Nice local pub. A few items our table wanted were not avaliable, even simple things like carrots which was disappointing. But the food we did have was tasty and good portions.

Un pub muy amable con vistas a Richmond Green con un servicio muy amable. Se hace popular y no tantas mesas como algunos otros pubs. Gran selección de cervezas y comida se ve muy bien también.

Servicio de cinco estrellas de Josh y su equipo para una comida de Navidad Tuvimos uso exclusivo de la habitación de arriba para nuestro grupo de 25 que era genial. La comida encantadora, el venado en particular era de alta calidad. El servicio siempre estaba allí, pero no era intrusivo. Las tarjetas con el nombre con las pre-órdenes individuales fueron un buen toque. También un gran pub con buena cerveza si solo quieres ir a tomar una pinta.

Reservamos a los jugadores de cricket para una cena pre-fiesta de Navidad con amigos en la habitación privada de arriba. La habitación estaba muy bien decorada, la comida era excelente y a un precio muy razonable y el servicio excelente, nada era demasiado problema para Josh, León y el equipo. Excelente lugar y valor.

Five star service from Josh and his team for a Christmas meal We had sole use of the upstairs room for our group of 25 which was great. Lovely food, venison in particular was high quality. We were visiting Richmond on a day out, and wanted some lunch, after walking around not knowing the local area we came across The Cricketers .On entering , Angus made us feel welcome , we ordered drinks and made our way to a table , Angus brought some menu’s over . My wife had the flat iron steak and i had the monkfish & prawn curry.The steak was cooked to perfection and nicely presented, the curry was again nicely presented , it was the best curry i have had in ages. My wife had cherry crumble with specially made dairy free custard and also a serving of raspberry sorbet , which was delicious. We would not hesitate to give this pub 5 stars . Alan and Janet

We may have been unlucky… it was our first time having lunch here. We had to wait for over an hour for the food being served… that wouldn't have been an issue if the food would have been good… My lamb roast was dry, my Yorkshire pudding flat and chewy … my husband’s fish and chips really not great either… we decided not to have dessert . Really sorry but not the best expected pub in Richmond

We were looking for somewhere to have Sunday lunch in Richmond. We happened across the Cricketers. Fortunately they had a table and the four of us enjoyed a lovely turkey roast followed by dessert. Our server Sanja was a wonderful host and made us feel very welcomed. Sanja - we’ll book next time and will be back! Thank you

Came as a group for the Christmas set menu and everything was great! Speedy and welcoming drinks service, good communication about timings of our courses, excellent food (we order a range of items and all reviews were positive). Table was set with Christmas crackers which was a nice touch. Just be aware there may be an ‘end time’ to your booking (2.5hrs for us) if you wish to stay longer).

Lunch on a very cold Thursday . Lovely open fire, great atmosphere, views over Richmond Green . Excellent service, great food . Group of 7 all ordered something different . All excellent . Couldn't have chosen better . Well worth many visits.

Busy pub on rugby day but, staff still very friendly & provide great service. Even though Kai was rushed off his feet he still checked to make sure our food was ok. Definitely a place to go back
