Yo estaba con un amigo que estaba de visita de América y era agradable y acogedor - podíamos escucharnos hablar así que tuvimos la oportunidad de ponerse al día con buena comida y una buena botella de vino. El pub en sí es lindo, pisos de madera y bar. Es uno de los más antiguos de Richmond, por lo que tiene un ambiente inglés auténtico encantador. Es acogedor y acogedor y la carta de comida y vino es buena y variada. Parecía un pub independiente, no una cadena que nos gustara mucho a mi amigo y a mí. El personal era genial. Had a great night in the Cricketer's pub, a gem of a place in a fab location. Rugby was on and the atmosphere was brilliant. Service was great even when it was busy. Bar staff were all good- but a shout out to "Leo" who served us a couple of times, he was polite and helpful. Highly Recommend.

Nice pub, very good quiz night!

Nice pub but disappointing roast. Staff were excellent and very attentive but unfortunately the food let them down. I have never left a pub after a roast still feeling hungry before! They offer one solitary carrot, and a small scoop of kale. The yorkshire was clearly not homemade and tasted quite fake. The chicken was tasty but mainly bones. Would definitely recommend for a nice drink by the Green but would love if they offered better food.

Really bad Sunday roast. I had the roast beef for £21.50. The beef was chewy and overcooked, horseradish and Yorkshire pudding not homemade, and the veg was 1/2 a carrot and a tablespoon of kale. Really poor quality and value. Feeling very ripped off!

We booked at the last minute for three on a busy Friday. The staff who took the booking were friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere is warm, vibrant. Excellent food. Adequate choice, and well executed. All the staff were welcoming, immensely pleasant and engaging. Sonja and Jess went out of their way to ensure service was of of the highest quality. Recommended.

I cannot speak more highly of Josh and his crew! I had my 40th birthday here and Josh and team went to great lengths to make sure I had a great time. We had drinks and the band on the ground floor and food was served on the first floor over looking the green. Food was delicious, beers great and they could cater for everyone. A great spot and it really made my birthday that bit more special. Thanks guys.

Nice local pub. A few items our table wanted were not avaliable, even simple things like carrots which was disappointing. But the food we did have was tasty and good portions.

La habitación estaba muy bien decorada, la comida era excelente y a un precio muy razonable y el servicio excelente, nada era demasiado problema para Josh, León y el equipo. Excelente lugar y valor.

Servicio de cinco estrellas de Josh y su equipo para una comida de Navidad Tuvimos uso exclusivo de la habitación de arriba para nuestro grupo de 25 que era genial. La comida encantadora, el venado en particular era de alta calidad. El servicio siempre estaba allí, pero no era intrusivo. Las tarjetas con el nombre con las pre-órdenes individuales fueron un buen toque. También un gran pub con buena cerveza si solo quieres ir a tomar una pinta.

Five star service from Josh and his team for a Christmas meal We had sole use of the upstairs room for our group of 25 which was great. Lovely food, venison in particular was high quality. Service was always there but not obtrusive. The name cards with the individual pre-orders were a nice touch. thank you ⭐

We were visiting Richmond on a day out, and wanted some lunch, after walking around not knowing the local area we came across The Cricketers .On entering , Angus made us feel welcome , we ordered drinks and made our way to a table , Angus brought some menu’s over . My wife had the flat iron steak and i had the monkfish & prawn curry.The steak was cooked to perfection and nicely presented, the curry was again nicely presented , it was the best curry i have had in ages. My wife had cherry crumble with specially made dairy free custard and also a serving of raspberry sorbet , which was delicious. We would not hesitate to give this pub 5 stars . Alan and Janet

We may have been unlucky… it was our first time having lunch here. We had to wait for over an hour for the food being served… that wouldn't have been an issue if the food would have been good… My lamb roast was dry, my Yorkshire pudding flat and chewy … my husband’s fish and chips really not great either… we decided not to have dessert . Really sorry but not the best expected pub in Richmond

Came as a group for the Christmas set menu and everything was great! Speedy and welcoming drinks service, good communication about timings of our courses, excellent food (we order a range of items and all reviews were positive). Table was set with Christmas crackers which was a nice touch. Just be aware there may be an ‘end time’ to your booking (2.5hrs for us) if you wish to stay longer).

We were looking for somewhere to have Sunday lunch in Richmond. We happened across the Cricketers. Fortunately they had a table and the four of us enjoyed a lovely turkey roast followed by dessert. Our server Sanja was a wonderful host and made us feel very welcomed. Sanja - we’ll book next time and will be back! Thank you

Lunch on a very cold Thursday . Lovely open fire, great atmosphere, views over Richmond Green . Excellent service, great food . Group of 7 all ordered something different . All excellent . Couldn't have chosen better . Well worth many visits.

As for the food… as my 2 year old said afterwards “YUMMY YUMMY YUMMY.” Thank you Kai for looking after us so well - particularly for bringing our son the mini football table to play with to keep him entertained.

Have spent many an evening here, and cannot fault it. Being in such a great location in Richmond it’s the perfect spot for a cheeky beer on the way home or to meet friends. Service has always been top notch - attentive, polite and quick.

I had been wanting to go the The Cricketers for a while, after doing some googling around pubs in Richmmond. The outside is beautiful, reviews on the food are good, and it’s in a superb location looking over the Green. Unfortunately, our experience was far from pleasant and probably the rudest I have ever been spoken to by a waiter. Upon entry, we spotted a table towards the back of the pub which was empty and headed over to it. In an aggressive tone, the waiter told us to wait until he had cleaned it which is fair enough, so we stood back. Once we sat down, the only thing he told us was that the table was booked for 3:30pm so we’d have to move (At this point it was 2:25pm, so we were not worried as on average we spend about an hour in a pub from start to finish). He proceeded to chuck a reserved sign on it and ignore us for a further 15 minutes. In this time frame, I witnessed him clear a table, take payments at the same table and then pour their drinks into plastic cups to take to the Green. Next, he went over to another table and explained to them about the pie of the day etc… and took orders from the table. He continued to walk past our table, turning his head to avoid eye contact each time. Eventually we asked very politely if we could order drinks and food as we’d been sat there for 20 minutes and were conscious that time was ticking, and the table was reserved for an hour later (as he had sassily pointed out initially). The response was incredibly rude, bitter and quite frankly unprofessional, as he said “Oh…. you want me to serve you?? Ummmmm….. I mean sure if you want but you really need to say so because it isn’t really table service but ummm yea”. I cannot even begin to describe the tone in which this was said, but it was enough for us to stand up and walk to another pub down the road without hesitation, where we endured lovely service and food. I do not know what happened here, as the man in question had been serving other tables, so I am unsure why the rules were different for us. I can only assume it was because we were a group of three young people (This is no excuse as were were polite the whole way through). There was absolutely no indication via signage that we should go to the bar to order food or drinks, nor was that explained to us upon entry. However, since we watched everyone else be served in a civil manner I have to assume this was a decision made by this waiter out of malice. The Cricketers could be a wonderful pub, but I would seriously consider re-assessing your staffing decisions.

An idyllic pub overlooking Richmond Green. Have been on a couple of occasions on a lastminute / can you fit us in scenario & have always found us a table. On our last visit I took my brother & his girlfriend who are visiting from Australia, they thoroughly enjoyed lunch, the surroundings & the ever helpful welcoming staff that were in attendance that day. Great selection of food & beverages available at a great price. Look forward to returning again soon. (I may even remember to pre-book) Recommend the Croque Monsieur & steak sandwiches ... 😋

If you’re looking for poor and unprofessional service , this is the place for you. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel like an inconvenience rather than welcomed customers, and the pub was hardly overcrowded to say the least. After being seated, we waited for 20 minutes, watching the server attend to other tables, whilst blatantly ignoring ours. When we finally attempted to place an order, the server’s attitude was shockingly rude. Rather than simply taking our order, he responded with a dismissive, “Oh, well if you want to be served you should just say” In a tone that would fit in on the real housewives of Beverley hills, yet proceeded to walk off and still not serve us. This level of unprofessionalism made it clear that customer service was not a priority, so we decided to leave without ordering. It’s disappointing, as the food did look edible, but it wasn’t worth enduring such poor service . Instead we headed to the White Cross down the road, on the river with a lovely atmosphere and service.

Cosy traditional pub at Richmond Green. The food was good but it was not worth it the steep bill at the end. Sunday roas should give you that warmth inside but this one unfortunately didn’t. Great service with friendly and welcoming staff.

Had a lovely lunch at The Cricketers, the food was good as was the beer. It was the service that really shone through though. Angus behind the bar was fantastic, from start to finish he was welcoming, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. What a difference great service makes!

Big shout out to Kai and Angus for looking after me and my friend who were catching up over a perfect pint. My friend doesn't drink and they now have draught Lucky Saint so that made her night! Perfect for winter cozy pub and for take away pints in the summer.

Came here with a friend for lunch before heading to the theatre. We were seated quickly and as, I had mentioned it was my friends birthday on the online booking form, were given a drink on the house which was a nice touch. The staff were exceptionally friendly, especially our server, Kaiias, who came back every so often to check on us. There was a good choice of food and drinks and our meal was hot and delicious. It appears to be a very popular pub and I can see why. Would we return. Definitely!
