Had a lovely lunch here on a rainy Friday in Richmond. Angus was great, welcoming and informative. Definitely worth a visit!

Food was lovely and it was great that they had lighter lunch options such a sandwiches. It was quite quiet when we went in hence the 4 stars for atmosphere, though I’m sure it’s great at busier times. We were looked after by Angus who was an absolute star. Knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. Top service!

Wonderful friendly, family atmosphere. I was served by the lovely ANGUS who made me feel like he was my buddy. Efficient, professional and friendly service. Great afternoon and Roast Chicken 🍗 dinner.

Decided to visit here as we had not been here before. It has a lovely green outside to watch cricket.When it’s lovely it would be great to sit outside.The pub does sell food but we chose not eat there.Toilets nice and clean.

Nice pint outside by the green. Imagine it will be great in the summer. Did not eat but will go back another time. Barman friendly.

Popped in for a quick beverage before going to see "39 Steps" at Richmond Theatre. The performance was from curtain up absolutely brilliant. Cleverly conceived, excellently executed Our experience at The Cricketers was also good, the only observation that I have to make would be around table clearance & cleaning: could do better! That said, I cannot fault our drinks. Will definitely pop in tonight when we go to see "The Syndicate."

I came in on a rugby day recently, and I really enjoyed my time here! Whilst super busy, the service by Alisha brilliant. :)

Had a lovely meal, was delicious, Angus served us our food and was friendly also bringing water and treats for our dog. Also checked on us to make sure everything was ok which it was. Will definitely go back, chicken Kiev was great.

Smallish pub on a lovely spot in the corner of Richmond Green. Not many beers and lagers but ticked all the boxes of the ones I like. Ridiculous acoustics downstairs, so you can’t hear yourself think if there are more than 15 people in the place. Head barman was having a spat with a one of the staff, so the atmosphere was not ideal when I was there. Not much room downstairs, much nicer upstairs. Area you can sit outside is ideal in the summer, but the place is usually busy. TV showing sport right at the back.

On our second visit here we again enjoyed the food, happy atmosphere and friendly staff. Well recommended!

Came in as i heard there was a change of menu, got the chicken kiev and it was absolutely amazing. Paired it with a perfectly poured Guinness from Alicia 👍👍👍

An excellent evening. We went in for a drink early evening. It wasn’t too busy and very amiable chatting so we decided to have a few bar snacks and sharing plates. I can’t recommend these highly enough. Excellent service, excellent food. A very enjoyable evening. Clearly used and enjoyed by locals as it was full when we left.

We've been really enjoying our evenings at The Cricketers. The staff are genuinely friendly,, helpful and create a welcoming environment. They have a great selection of beers and the food is excellent. The chicken wings are are a real highlight and I hope they stay on the menu!

Came here on wings Wednesday and was not disappointed! I had buffalo wings with fries and it was delicious along with a nice glass of wine. All the servers were very kind and helpful, will definitely be returning.

Really great cozy pub right on Richmond Green. It has a convenient location off the high street and perfect location during the summer for an outdoor drink. Great selection of draft and bottled beers, spirits, and wines. Nice food menu with pub classics but also has some elevated gastropub dishes. Lovely and accommodating staff. Would recommend! 😊

Best fish&chips we had during our stay in Richmond. There was espresso martini on tap, the atmosphere was very relaxed and cozy, we would certainly come back!

Food was terrible. Definitely could cook better at home. Such a shame- great location in pretty Richmond but this pub was terrible. We had fish with undercooked potatoes and oily spinach and cold chorizo. Squid wasn’t cooked and had a random piece of half cooked red onion plonked on the plate. Definitely wouldn’t recommend :(

Thank you for an awesome new year's eve! The staff were fantastic, really quick and nice. Particularly the two bar staff, they are great! The food is excellent, we had the burger and the sea bass. It's a lovely local pub, we will definitely be back!

Service was great but my fish and chips was way over done. Staff were very nice and probably would have changed it if I'd asked but there wasn't time as we had to be off the table for a booking.

Josh, Leon and team. Thank you for a wonderful family Christmas dinner on Saturday evening. You did a great job in preparing a menu that covered for the variety of dietary requirements, the room looked lovely, service was great and everyone loved the food and cocktails. We all had a fun time!

I looked at reviews before booking and was excited for our meal, but wow! The food was awful, like really really bad! I can’t believe anyone would book twice. Think of one of the worst roasts you’ve ever had… yep, that’s what I paid for. Staff were nice though.

Cozy pub on Cricket theme overlooking Richmond green. Went for a pub quiz which was quite enjoyable.

We visited a few weeks ago for the first time and we can't wait to come back. The pub is just a short walk from Richmond Station and facing the Richmond Green so no wonder it is steeped in cricket history. The food was great and reasonably priced. We opted for sandwiches for lunch. The onion rings were amazing as a side! The beer selection is great and Leon (I hope I remember the name correctly) was a absolutely fantastic; friendly, professional and helpful. We also had a great chat about Richmond as filming location. As the time went by, we could see more locals with kids and dogs coming in...You could tell this is a pub loved by locals :)

What a fab evening! I got my free Dusk cocktail expertly created by a lovely flame haired man with a fabulous beard, rather wonderfully named Angus. The cocktail was utterly delicious. As was my chicken roast, which was tweaked slightly to my tastes and delivered by a charming gentleman in a shirt and tie, Martin. Both Angus and Martin made our visit very special, we will definitely be coming back.

We had a great team social in the private room upstairs. The staff couldn't have been nicer, very attentive and Josh was super helpful throughout the whole booking process. Thanks for a great night. (and thanks to Martin on the bar)

Excellent accueil et cuisine délicieuse

I couldn’t have asked for more today! Thank you Josh and team. From the friendly chat to delicious chips and squid with a couple of pints of YES!!! And for the dog a lovely jar of treats and bowl of water. Also popped out to the green to let him run around. Personally, if the loos are decent then I find the whole thing is! Which it always is at this gem of a place. Lovely to meet a new mum with her 10 week old baby, her dog, and her friends. Everyone is welcome. Settled up at the end and the bar man who’d come for the evening shift was just lovely! Nice touch with the candles, and always a great ambience here on my occasional visits to this place. On rugby days it’s probably a bit different and extremely busy, but on a Monday afternoon there was space and time for anyone and everyone.

We had eaten at Battersea Dogs Home, sorry The Princes Head, nearby and stopped in here for a drink. Whilst the menu looked limited we wished we had eaten here as the ambience was so much nicer.

This is a great place, with fantastic staff. Highly recommended!

This pub is always fantastic. It’s rare I write reviews if ever but after my visit on Sunday I need to leave some feedback. The pub was tremendously busy, all tables both upstairs and downstairs were jam packed! Luckily we’d made a booking (which I highly recommend doing to avoid disappointment) but we’re still worried we’d not be looked after properly with how much was going on. We were so pleasantly surprised though as we had such a wonderful experience thanks to the amazing staff, and of course incredible food. The ginger chap that first greeted and seated us (sorry I can’t remember your name) was very accommodating and welcoming and we were then served by Kai and Sonny who, it must be said, we’re both amazing m. Talk about service with a smile!! They really looked after us and made our experience feel personal. You can tell this is a pub that people care about. Everyone seemed to be working hard and enjoying themselves despite the level of trade. Real credit to the manager here, your staff are excellent. I realise I haven’t spoken much about the food so I’ll simply suggest everyone goes along and tries it for themselves! Particularly on Sunday as the roast beef is the best in town.

We live locally and have been coming here on and off for the last twenty years and have never had a problem as the staff are usually welcoming and professional but not on this occasion. We stopped by for a drink at 7pm on last Saturday night before going out for dinner and our friends who also live locally had their eight year old daughter with them. We went up to the bar and I ordered our drinks which were served by a polite chap with a beard, I paid for the drinks and as I did so the older man behind the bar who is always there, he had a shirt and tie on noticed the eight year old and said, "Sorry no children after seven because of the rugby" I said "sorry I didn't know that" as I was talking to him another chap behind the bar interrupted us very loudly in an aggressive tone and said" I'm the supervisor here can you please leave" I asked if we could finish the drinks I had just paid for and he said we could but we would have to stand outside in the rain and then leave, so we went outside, drank our drinks and went to the Princes Head pub next door where we were all welcome to have a drink by friendly staff. I regret to say we won't be going back and neither will any of our friends. The gentleman in question needs some serious retraining on how to speak to paying customers.

We loved the pub for the little event we had here at the weekend. We had the upstairs to ourselves. The food was good, service even better and it didn’t break the bank. Lovely location on the green. A great spot in Richmond!

We had a big 25 year class reunion in the room upstairs. Really nice venue. Good food and Josh and Jess were fantastic, flexible and friendly hosts, despite a slightly chaotic crowd. Highly recommend

Wow what a pub. Josh in particular was the highlight of my visit gave strong and personal recommendations for the drinks.

Great spot where the staff take great care of you. Amazing booze selection and not as expensive as other spots in the area! Count your lucky stars if Josh is working.

Finding a game of cricket on the green is pretty rare so when it’s on getting a pint from one of the nearby pubs is great. Obviously to take beer onto the green proper means you get plastic, which is fine. I’d like to like The Cricketers more having visited a few times given it’s location. However, it always feels a bit unloved which may be a symptom of the busy location but if you’re paying a premium a bit more care should come as standard. The toilets are always pretty grim and no toilet roll was on offer today (lucky it wasn’t required!). The service was friendly enough, but it would be nice for this pub to have a bit of a spruce up and staff to be on top of cleaning as tables are often unclean and have glasses on. Some small wins would go a long way.

Josh is amazing, very tentative and looks after locals well. Great to see a pub where the staff respect the Manager and seem to enjoy working there as well. Fabulous place, always love the bar where we enjoy good service and great drinks. All the best, Vicky & Martin

This is an enticing looking pub in an excellent position. However, the food was below average and the service was poor. I won't be visiting again.

Just grabbed a quick lunchtime sandwich and a pint here. Fast friendly service, a table right by the window to watch all the passing Ted Lasso tourists, and a huge, tasty, and great value club sandwich. Recommended.

This pub has a fantastic location on Richmond green. I've been going in here for 30 years. Currently, it's providing a very good service. Great choice of drinks. The staff are great. Well worth a visit.

Called in Friday 19.30 having booked a table for 4. 2 of the cask ales were off but there were other choices. Food arrived promptly, was of v good quality & quantity and service was unobtrusive yet friendly & efficient. Great visit.

Nice English pub, good people and attentive service. We stopped in for a pint after visiting Kew Gardens and decided to stay for dinner - great decision. The burger was tasty and plenty big, the fish and chips were perfect.

Came here with my dog in the summer and had some plastic pints on the field opposite.

We had a lovely Sunday lunchtime experience here. We were lucky enough to grab a table outside. Angus looked after us, really lovely chap, nothing was too much trouble and service with a smile. Food was great, we shared several small dishes between 3 people. Beautiful setting. Just wish we lived in Richmond, we would be here all the time. Thank you.
