Megan's At The Old Town Hall Restaurant (Richmond) in Richmond upon Thames

Delicious feed and super available staff! Sowmya's service was great, she took time to explain us all the dishes. Strongly recommend

Popped in for mid afternoon coffee only to find that they had run out of milk and despite being located in town nobody had gone out and sourced any!? Utterly bizarre. When I say popped in, I mean it was quite a palaver to get in being a wheelchair user. They do have a ramp and ask you to ring a doorbell for assistance with it, which would have been fine if anyone had realised we were ringing the thing. Fortunately a couple of exiting patrons offered to attract somebody's attention and I was somewhat precariously rescued from the pavement. Be warned, the ramp is not user friendly if your wheelchair is 27 ins or over in width. The place itself is nicely decorated in a sort of Boho way, using macrame hanging decorations to give the illusion of section privacy. It was extremely popular with tables filling as fast as they were emptied. The service was slow, probably due to how busy it was. The atmosphere was fine but to be honest we won't be back. Too difficult to get in, to be served and to have a coffee with real milk rather than nut water/juice.

Great restaurant. The food was very tasty, there were many vegetarian/vegan options. The atmosphere is really nice and the staff are friendly. It's not super cheap but it's worth it!

The Hash browns ? , am not sure if the chef had a stoke way through inventing this dish , and they just gave up on it ! Theres nothing really wrong with the dish it's just not a hash brown. It's more like they wanted to create a mozzarella ball out of potatoes or something ! Or Tater tots as the waitress so "lovely" called them

We ordered brunch plates and portions were extremely small for the prices charged - see attached picture. We raised the portion issue and got offered a slice of toast. After only being in the restaurant for 1.5 hours on a Monday afternoon we were told they needed the table back, despite another 4 tables nearby being empty. My friends recommended meghans but were shocked by what we received today. We left disappointed and hungry.

Food was tasty. Service started off well but by the end of the meal we felt completely forgotten. Gave us a dessert menu but didn't come back to see if we wanted anything. Did not check if we wanted more drinks and didn't make any effort to make it special for my Niece whose birthday we were celebrating and I requested when booked. Overall disappointing

It was a birthday visit to Megan’s and we had a great time. The food was very good. A meze selection which was very tasty. I will certainly return to try another dish . Service was excellent and when the waitress knew it was my birthday she told me I could have a free dessert. She bought it and wished me happy birthday, with a candle on the dessert. I thought that was really lovely as at my age I rarely get candles any more. 😂.

For me friendly helpful staff is important and it is always the case at maghens. Apart from the fact the food is delicious! And dog friendly

1st time at Megan's, we had a large group, there were no complaints from any of those in the group. I had breakfast which was good and tasty a fair meal for a fair price.

Staff is super friendly, Jaroslaw our waitress this evening walked us through the menu and gave us good recommendations, food was on point! It’s also pet friendly, and they gave some treats to my dog during our meal x Will definitely be coming back!

Everything was good, nice atmosphere and good service. Some constructive feedback: the metallic chairs were very uncomfortable and I be batter on the bread as too cold and could not be spread on the bread.

I've always enjoyed Megan's but felt compelled to share about my recent experience. I pre-booked a table for 6, clearly stating that I need a space for a baby prem. When I arrived, not only they sat me at the underground floor, when I requested to change to ground/first floor, all the staff (2 managers working at that time) were ignoring me. They made it clear to me that the tables are reserved. I had to made my case that I specifically booked with a request for a baby prem, surely, common sense would know it is inconvenient to allow mother with a prem to carry her prem downstairs. The easy thing to do is to reshuffle the bookings and why is that so difficult. It tooks a while to resolved and got us a table. The lady waitress (very smiley, forgot her name) really made all the difference! Only advice I can give, please do not have 2 male manangers working at the same time. You need a female manager who understand female struggles!

Deep frying scent throughout and extremely rude staff. Went in on a quiet mid-morning with virtually no one inside. My mother and I asked for a table as we just wanted a coffee and the front of house told us there were NO tables available despite half the restaurant and coffee bar being completely empty. Check out Hagen instead for better vibes and coffee.

A thoroughly disappointing lunch. £75 for 2 cold meals (sent back and reheated) some cold fries (sent back and they forgot about them) some pancakes (1 missing the banana.topping) for the kids and 4 drinks. Not somewhere I will be returning too. Couldn’t wait to get out of the place.

Booked a table but on arrival we were told that they couldn’t take orders for 30 minutes due to a large party. We ordered drinks which didn’t arrive for 30 mins. One hour in to the wait, we asked when we could order food and they said it would be another 30 mins. We had to eat elsewhere. Disappointed as we had pre booked for a birthday dinner for 2. Staff were friendly and clearly sympathetic but the kitchen was just too busy. I wouldn’t eat here again.

Service was brisk and the waitress gave us the impression she'd rather be sonewhere else. The food was tepid, a request for ketchup for my bacon and sausage was met with a dismissive reply of 'we don't do ketchup'. If you are offering an English breakfast (calling it a grill isn't fooling anyone) you really should expect requests for ketchup. Why a place like Megans feels ketchup is beneath them is an arrogant stance. The toilets were grimey and poorly maintained. Feel I've been generous with 2 stars. The coffee was good and the food came quickly. Probably because it cooked hours before. I'd rather wait a few minutes more for the food to be reheated properly.

Delicious food and drink with friendly and prompt service. My mother had a smoothie, and I had the hot honey, halloumi and avocado toast - definitely recommend! Thanks very much to your staff for a lovely relaxing morning.

We came on Saturday and were excited to try but left very disappointed. We waited 20 mins for someone to take our order. Waited another 10 mins just for some tap water. Food arrived after another long wait. Fries were cold so asked for replacement (never received these). Food was good but expensive for what it was. Cocktails were nice as was decor. Took ages to get the bill and had to ask them to remove the fries we didn’t get back. Not sure why the service was so poor as it wasn’t that busy. Would not come again, sadly.

Truly phenomenal experience. Was well taken care of the food was fabulous as well as the drinks. Special mention to Zsanett and Mark who looked after us and made sure we felt welcome. Shall definitely be returning.

The food was delicious and the portions were great as well. Service wasn’t excellent after being forgotten about on multiple occasions. We waited approximately 40 minutes in between starters and mains and waited a further 20 minutes after we finished our food to get someone’s attention to pay the bill even though we were the only ones in the restaurant. I would probably come back at a busier time when staff are more attentive and it isn’t so quiet.

8 gal pals, eating, drinking and being very merry!!! The food was so tasty & delicious, we shared a load of starters and then all had something different for main. Everyone cleared their plates! The service was awesome and if you can get your hands on a 50% off food voucher… you are basically winning at life!! Will defo return, great spot to get your night off to an excellent start!!

Superb dining experience, exquisite food and sensational service (we are especially grateful to Shivam and Tamani at the Richmond branch). Gorgeous, comfortable and sumptuous seating. The decor is seriously stunning. We were seated quickly and went for the Neighbour Night's menu...£20 for the three course meal is an absolute bargain...and the food definitely didn't disappoint. We went for the Turkish fondue to share and the calarami. Mains were the open halloumi, shakshuka with Piri Piri chicken and open chicken. The harissa hummus was delicious. We were so full we could barely manage the desserts ... Salted caramel ice cream with Candied walnuts and carrot cake - both absolutely delectable. We will certainly be returning soon. Highly recommend. We came back two weeks later and received superb service from Leakna and Rafael. The cookie dough was to die for. We were welcomed really warmly. Megan's Richmond is definitely our new family favourite restaurant.

This was a cute find from a visiting Aussie wondering Richmond. Tamani was lovely and a great host. Food was fabulous and I liked the hash browns which I was not what we get in Australia but these were better and so cute and since I’m missing my dog was glad to pat some dogs in the cafe

I love this place. It never feels cramped and there are several tables which are quite private, helped by the rope decor. The food is different from the usual high street menus, with a Middle Eastern accent and really interesting combinations. The staff are friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Megan's is great for breakfast and lunch, but the menu is flexible enough to make it a relaxing evening venue too.

We had dinner on the 24th of November and want to thank Tamani and Janahvi for their service! Their dessert suggestion was the cherry on the cake!

Possibly the least bottomless bottomless brunch I’ve ever experienced. Had to shout staff across to refill drinks when glasses were sat empty. Food was OK. Rules were ridiculous - all had to have bottomless and had to stick to one drink throughout. One server (wearing reindeer antlers) was amazing, but the other made us feel awkward for wanting a refill at a bottomless saying ‘I think you’ve had your money’s worth’. Wouldn’t bother going back.

I recently visited this restaurant for brunch and ordered the "Serpme Kahvaltı" for two people, which is priced per person. Unfortunately, the portions were incredibly disappointing. Despite paying for two people, we received only a single piece of baklava to share and a very small amount of cheese. Several items seemed to be sized for just one person, which left us feeling short-changed. After raising our concerns with the manager, he did provide us with extra baklava and cheese, which we appreciated. However, it shouldn’t have taken a complaint to receive what we expected from the start.

Ollie’s antlers were great and the food was good

Your grilled breakfast aka “brunch” for £16.5 and you serving a whole raw blowtorched onion, four tiny sad cherry toms and burned to death bacon with no condiment like a mustard. Fancy mushrooms don’t do the job. My wife’s breakfast was send away as bread was stale and bacon burned. We had to sent coffee away as well. Strong 6 at best.

It was my first time at Meghan’s and the food was so delicious. I had the shakshuka which id highly recommended. My server (Tamani) was brilliant too, super friendly and attentive.
