I visited butter beans with my family. I had a great experience there. Staff is very nice. Best coffee and best food. Customer service was also good.

I came with my wife to London for a one week. "Butter Beans" was the best experience from the service through the good energy and the delicious food with generous amount. We are going back to Greece the next day. I wish I knew about this place before. Real jam in Richmond.

We came for early breakfast at 7.15. I didn’t expect much, but the breakfast was delicious, big and reasonably priced. I ordered Acai bowl that I never tried before and expected a granola type of thing. It was nothing like that! So much better, at least for me who does not like heavy breakfast! Can’t recommend enough: light, fresh, fruity, natural! My friend had avocado toast with egg and salmon topping. That was a generous topping! Coffee was very decent too and the staff was kind to add a happy face to my friend’s coffee (maybe because she was very young, teenager). Will come again and probably make this our breakfast destination.

We have been coming here for several years and always enjoyed it. Unfortunately, the last few times we have been here, one or both of our orders have been incorrect. They are never complicated orders (I.e. sausage and bacon bap being served with brown sauce rather than a sausage and egg bap with chutney that was ordered), but still different food to what has been ordered. Very disappointing given the food (when correct) is nice. It would be nice if a bit more attention could be paid when orders are being taken to make sure the right thing is served - if this was a one off it would be understandable but happening on upwards of 3 occasions is bizarre.

Best coffee in Europe. We’ve been travelling for weeks and this is finally some good coffee. We will be back

Great food. I’m not a vegetarian but I love the veggie offerings. The Full veggie breakfast is generous. I’ve just had the fritters which are delicious and generous too. Love it. Friendly local and rustic. A treasure amongst the generic chains. Highly recommended!

Best coffee in Richmond! Their latte is absolutely amazing with creamy milk foam, and it is always served at the perfect temperature. Spinach and cheese muffin is my favourite pastry. You should toast it. I usually don’t add butter onto it.

Can take a while for cooked orders to come, but great when it arrives. Good coffee, friendly staff. This is our second visit on 23/2/24 . Would appreciate a notice asking customers not to put their dogs on the seats. When we came some dogs were on seats with their paws on the table. Also provide a dish to put teabags in with cups of tea.

Fantastic pancakes. Even added the happy birthday message after finding out it’s for a birthday. Really enjoyed it. They’re super busy so did take a bit of time for the pancakes to come out but will be back!

We had the "Big Breakfast", Pancakes with the grilled banana and bacon (BEST PANCAKES I'VE EVER HAD!). Service was fast, the owners and serves were lovely and very welcoming. Definitely pop to if you're in Richmond.

Once again an excellent breakfast in Butter Beans. I had the Salmon Delish - smoked salmon with capers, avo, poached egg, grilled halloumi and salad, this dish has a generous amount of smoked salmon. Ended up with an anzac biscuit in this friendly cafe with outside tables. The anzac biscuit came forth in Gallipoli in World War One, a tough campaign which had a lasting effect on Australia and New Zealand. Keep an eye on the outside notice board for specials, and get your TimTam Australian biscuits here. Always a good atmosphere at Butter Beans . Just turn right out of Richmond station and you are here. I am always coming back to this favourite cafe of mine.

Butter Beans is my favourite cafe. I had the Salmon Delish, ( with a generous amount of salmon ) , poached egg, avocado,grilled halloumi and salad.All very tasty. This friendly cafe has good service, ambience and outside tables. My friends and I are always coming back here.

Popped in close to closing time as we'd been out all day, and were still made very welcome. The coffee is good and we had a great chicken and bacon salad and chicken caesar wrap. Highly recommended!

Butter Beans is located about 100 yards from Richmond Station. The cafe offers a selection of hot and cold snacks as well as teas and coffee. Although I only had a cup of tea, the service was excellent, and given the number of customers that followed me in, popularity is not in doubt.

Great service, great food, reasonable prices. Coming to eat here for some years now. Would recommend veggie English breakfast, avocado on toast, and fruit pancakes!

ButterBeans! Convenient being just out of Richmond Tube station. Don't let its plain Jane look mislead you. Full breakfast Bap, Energizer Smoothie, and Hot Chocolate were perfect and delicious. Staff - Priya, Nizar and Nisha made it happen! This place is not to be missed!!!

Handy stop just outside Richmond station. Decent coffee with a freshly made chicken Caesar salad wrap. Functional furniture comfortable enough for a quick stop. Also added a chunky cake to follow. Friendly people working the cafe as well.

This is honestly the most adorable little restaurant I’ve ever been to. I came with my boyfriend and we enjoyed the best full english we’ve ever had, and the service was wonderful. The atmosphere is cosy and comfortable and the people are so kind. This small business is a must-visit, I couldn’t fault them if i tried.

Most grateful to the Butter Beans team for my caffeine fix first thing on a Saturday morning. The team is so lovely and the vibe of the cafe is cozy, clean and comfortable. Yet to try their pastries and brunch but don’t doubt it’s delicious. Thank you guys! :)

Not sure what has happened but food that was beautifully presented and nice size portions is coming out looking bland on teeny, tiny plates. I had two poached eggs that were very snotty, on the tiniest piece of toast I have ever seen. No butter in the teeny toast. The guy sitting next to me had a tiny plate with one tiny toast, scrambled eggs and a few slices of avocado. He was a beefy guy and I could hear him complain to the woman he was with who then let him eat some of her tiny wrap. My coffee was lukewarm as they left it on the side before bringing it over. I don’t think I will be coming back. Such a shame.

The place to go in Richmond for breakfast / brunch. The brain booster smoothie and big breakfast is a must. The Nutella Fudge brownie was very tasty and went down well with a coffee.

Thank you to Suleman and team for the lovely platters that we ordered for a work lunch. Our company ordered sandwiches/wraps, treat platters and fruit platters and everything arrived well packaged, high quality and delicious! Even where we had to change things in our a order a few times before confirming, the team were very accommodating and it was a big hit. Thank you!

Downside was the food and the tea. My halloumi wrap was very bad - too much grated carrot and uneven halloumi in both half’s of the wrap. One half had 60% halloumi while the other half I thought had none until I found small pieces. Whole English breakfast was forgotten about so that arrived after a long time. No one was managing the seating area despite it being busy and the foggy tea seemed to have no tea? Please brew the tea instead of just serving milk with syrup. Staff was nice

Great coffee and one of the best full English breakfasts I've ever had.

We come here every week and it’s the best coffee shop in Richmond by far. The food comes quickly and in big portions and is DELICIOUS. The drinks are really big and definitely good value for money. I would personally recommend the milkshakes and the gingerbread latte. If I could rate the service higher than a 5 I would. The staff is so friendly and flexible, even though they are serving loads of people they make you feel very welcome. Butterbeans is a small cafe but it’s always pretty busy, and has a great atmosphere especially on Saturday mornings. Overall I would definitely recommend.

Such a cute spot near to the train stop. Our food was so fresh and delicious. Great portion sizes. Wonderfully friendly service! Highly recommend.

The staff are lovely and the location is great. However they take far too long to make and serve any kind of drink. They seem really disorganised and there's always a queue. The coffee is nice, when it does arrive. The last gripe is paying £4.5 for an average sausage roll. All in all it's a nice place, but the staff are too slow and it's overpriced.

Best deli food and coffee in Richmond.

Used to be my favourite place for great coffee and breakfast but seems the owners have changed. Cappuccino just hot milk and veggie breakfast poor - uncooked eggs and hard avocado. Such a shame- used to be amazing but now don't bother. Pay a visit to Green Bottle cafe in St Margarets instead!

What happened to this place? We used to visit as a family once a week. It's now run by a family with the worst manners I've ever witnessed. Destroyed what used to be the best coffee shop around! Has the kiwi lady who ran it gone? I would never visit here again which is such a shame

Baked beans spilt all over bag. Burnt halloumi. Soggy, greasy hash brown. Overcooked, hard poached eggs. Limp toast.

Too much onion in the avo salsa. Smashed avo would be better.

Friendly staff, however the food could be improved. I don’t know what’s New Zealand about it apart from the snacks they sell in packaging. Lovely coffee; one of my favourites in Richmond. Please update your opening times on Google as it says you’re open until 6pm but when I visited the shop at 5pm, it was closed.

The quality of the vegetarian wrap and the bap we've ordered were very poor. Both were very dry and not seasoned properly at all. The staff though was kind and the smoothies were great.

Started working in the area a month ago and chanced upon this lovely cafe two weeks ago, I’ve not been anywhere else since! It’s an independent business full of flavour both in terms of the coffee and the people that work there. They serve some delicious coffee and a DIVINE banana bread. Also have loads of Aussie & Kiwi tidbits, how can I ever say no to TimTams man!! 10/10 would recommend ❤️
