Lovely atmosphere and food with friendly service

Great food and good pints with great friendly staff and lovely atmosphere, would definitely recommend to anyone coming to stop in the idyllic place

Nice staff, good food, but the room is very VERY cold

My wife had reynard and really feels the cold. We arrived to snow and slush on the local roads. My wife thought the room was too cold. Went to report it and before she got back to the room, the owner had brought a portables Electric heater and sorted out the bathroom heater. Good choice for dinner and a lovely breakfast.

Rooms clean and very warm,kettle and refreshments in the room . Breakfast was amazing and quite a large selection from cereal fruits fruit juices ,kippers ,full English,vegetarian options. Food in the restaurant was phenomenal,we tried the steak,and the slow cooked pulled beef wellington style ,cooked to perfection and hot ,staff were amazing over our 2 night stay , Will definitely be back for another stay

Well, where do I start, came across this pub driving from Ingleton to Leeds, We hadn't booked but the staff were very accommodating in finding us a table, staff were very friendly and welcoming, lovely clean and warm pub, staff are very attentative we weren't kept waiting for our order to be taken or for our food to be brought to the table even though the pub was busy and getting busier whilst we were there, staff weren't in any way flustered they were very professional, I ordered the roast pork dinner, came with Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes all fresh and homemade, my partner opted for lamb, the meat on both plates was melt in your mouth, we also received carrots, parsnips, red cabbage all cooked perfectly and plentiful, the gravy was very tasty too, we also had hot chocolate fudge cake with fresh cream, highly recommend this place for Sunday lunch, you won't be disappointed, if I could give ten star's I would.

We had Sunday dinner here and it was absolutely gorgeous, the Yorkshire puddings were amazing, staff were friendly and efficient too, would highly recommend.

We booked in for a last minute evening meal and are so glad we did! The food was excellent and service was very friendly.

Had a great Sunday Lunch. Roast Beef with Yorkshire Pudding, roast potatoes and veg. Beef was cooked beautifully and was lovely and tender. I love Sticky Toffee Pudding and have it wherever it’s on the menu. The Craven Arms sticky toffee pudding is one of the best ever!

Got a room as a last minute thing. Very helpful and accommodating. Great food and wine. Cosy pub area.

Fantastic food, great staff & a very warm welcome. Highly recommend.

Have been for meals here quite a lot but very disappointed this time. Out of 4 meals from new menu all were lacking. My friend had a steak and half of it was muscle and fat. Dietary choices such as dairy free were token only. The service was slow but at the end of the meal the staff were quite rude in the way they kept coming to the table and taking just a glass or a plate to encourage us to go. Do not recommend. There are better places for food in this area and at more reasonable prices.

For a Friday Teatime we visited and you can tell how good a place is by the amount of locals that are in there. Luckily we had made a reservation as we were eating as well. Friendly staff, good selection of beers 🍻 and drinks 🍸, the food 😋 was excellent. Well worth a visit when in the area 😉.

Great pub lunch. Very close to Giggleswick just across by pass from station. Best reached by car or cycle from Giggeswick. The food is all freshly cooked and the beer local. It’s busy and best to book.

Excellent food, beer and service.

My wife and I booked a table on a Saturday evening, we were greeted with friendly staff, beautiful dining room with stunning views, the food was excellent, i had a pulled pork bau bun with salad, pulled beef wellington with duck fad roast potatoes which was lovely with chocolate and cherry tart for dessert, for what we had was reasonably priced,service was good,will be returning soon!! Highly recommended!!

Great Sunday lunch, efficient and friendly service

Had Sunday lunch for 2 with our four legged friend in attendance and the welcome was wonderful. The beer (Landlord) was great, the water in Eddies bowl also great. The sunday lunch was outstanding - asked for a second Yorkshire and they duly provided one - both of a great size! Highly recommended and we live in the area but this knocks our locals Sunday roast out of the park!

Nine of us had Sunday lunch today for father's day, great from start to finish, everyone catered for and the service was great, food was fantastic, the majority of us having the Shoulder of lamb, which was cooked really succulent, I finished with cheese and biscuits, with everyone else's puddings looked delightful 😀

Called in the craven arms on our way home from the lake district....the staff were fantastic, accomidated us without delay for Sunday lunch.....the service was excellent and so was the food.....it's nice to stumble across little gems like this with decent people running the place, thank you craven arms and staff .

Called in for a few Pints on way past. The Lady behind the bar was really lovely and it's the cheapest pint of Morreti I've had in well over a year. Lovely beer garden to the rear also. Thankyou

Not to far from Giggleswick to walk to, Craven arms looked like the obvious choice for Sunday Roast, nice, clean pleasant pub,large dining area, good menu. Good, selection of draught beers,lagers and wines & spirits.

Food was awful. I had the burger. It was burnt beyond belief like a hockey puck. The chips were clearly fries just dumped out of a freezer into a fryer. £15+ for possibly the worst burger I've ever experienced. Maybe their other food is better?

Went with extended family for a meal while staying at a local campsite. Great atmosphere. Very friendly and efficient service.

Fantastic food and generous portions for hungry walkers. Also wanted to highlight that they took great care catering for people with coeliac disease (gluten-free diet) so highly recommend for anyone with a food allergy.

We stayed here for a weekend break and was made very welcome, great food comfortable room along with excellent staff, will definitely recommend and return

The house of public is very clean and has a hotel ontop also. I enjoyed very much the food of the nature the dinner was filling and took the hunger off me. The people are very nice in particular the lady of the land who gave me the one hundred thousand welcomes. Of this I am sure, I will go back there. It can be hard to find this type of house of public in England. 10 of the 10.

Dropped in as we were driving back from a morning out. Warm welcome, good service and a well balanced menu. It is always great to discover somewhere new and a place worth returning! Easy to see why this place has such good reviews!

I regularly bring a group to Settle for a celebratory break. We eat at least once at the Craven Arms and always enjoy the ambience, food & drink and service. We are booked in for a meal again in May and looking forward to it.
