The Crane Tap has a wonderful and relaxed vibe, and is very stylishly done inside. Matthew was very kind and welcoming to us, and the food and drink was excellent, especially the fried chicken starter and the steak sandwich. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely meal for my wife’s birthday. The food was great, we had steaks as the restaurant is under the Gaucho umbrella we knew they’d be good! But best of all was the welcome and the service from Andrea. We had our 3 year old and 3 month old and he was so kind to them both, brought out ice cream with a special birthday message and made us feel very comfortable! Places like this are made all the better for people like Andrea. Thanks!!!

I met Scarlet this morning , she explained to me the menu and the type of food we get there. It's amazing. I I definitely bring family there soon next week

Had a great afternoon here. We ordered fish and chips and Korean fried chicken which were both delicious. Guseppe was lovely and helped us with our order. The service was quick.

Amazing experience, food was brilliant and surprisingly large starters considering the hight quality of the food. Our waiter, Andrea, was very attentive and gave us an amazing experience. He was very friendly and made sure everything was ok during the entire meal. Food was delicious. Room was a bit noisy but is normal for a Friday evening.

Been twice. Gave it the benefit of the doubt first time. Not this time. Stood at the bar for about a minute whilst the head bar man, his mate, and the female manager discussed the merits of a new aperol drink. They knew I was there, only a metre away, but not even an acknowledgement. I walked away, picked up my backpack and left. It's a place where I feel they are doing you a favour by serving you. Anyway, not going back.

Another excellent meal at The Crane Tap - we love this place, there’s nothing else like it in Twickenham! Four of us shared a tomahawk steak and this week’s special - a fillet steak! Both were cooked to perfection and their favours were incredible. And the service, as ever, was excellent. Thank you Andrea!

Great place, superb service and food is excellent and the wine!

Great service, however a bit over priced for the food and drink. £4.50 for a small side of broccoli, the offer of water as sitting down to be immediately poured bottled water without being told of the price of it, they also apply a discretionary 12.5% service charge. All of which made a £75 dinner £100. Otherwise the waiter was very attentive and the quality of the food was good.

We booked a table at The Crane Tap to celebrate our daughter’s graduation which was being held at Twickenham Stadium. We were feeling a little skeptical after reading mixed reviews - we had absolutely no need to be! We were welcomed very warmly when we arrived and were shown to our table even though we arrived early. The decorations for Christmas were very pretty which made the atmosphere equally warm. The gentleman who served us was very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The food was absolutely delicious and presented beautifully. The icing on the cake was the very generous surprise of a congratulatory dessert for our daughter which she was thrilled with and finished her memorable day on another high. We cannot recommend The Crane Tap enough and wouldn’t hesitate to visit again. Such a shame we live 3 hours away! Thank you all so much for finishing off our special day.

We visited The Crane Tap on my mother’s graduation day and we were so happy with our servers, they were both very polite and attentive and were always there to accommodate our requests even though it got busier after a while. We have throughly enjoyed our starters and mains, particularly the desert Pavlova was a very pleasant surprise!! Thank you all for the lovely service, we will be recommending this place to everybody.

Staff were great, service also good, can't give more than one star for the food, no real vegetarian option. Only 2 out of 4 of us ate.

Very nice Gastropub by the river Crane in Twickenham. Did the pre paid match day package, food was amazing, great service and great location opposite the train station and just a 10 minute walk to the rugby stadium.

Doormen were rude and unprofessional.

Stuff is unfriendly and unpleasant to deal with .

Busy Saturday night after England international, good atmosphere

Dined for Sunday lunch & can definitely recommend the roasts - beef, pork and lamb delicious food, fantastic service.

We had such a lovely experience at The Crane Tap yesterday. The staff were amazing and the Sunday Roast absolutely delicious. Shout out to Matthew who made us feel very welcome and was great at his job.

Food looked good, but we just had drinks. Reasonably priced given it's location opposite the station and near Twickenham on a matchday. Staff seemed friendly and good service. Nice spot to watch the game.

Very stylish pub not far from Twickenham station. I like the design, the fact that they have darts and the pool. Haven’t tried the food but it looked amazing so I will be back.

We had an absolutely wonderful family meal at the Crane Tap Pub in Wimbledon. The ambiance was warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxed evening out. The highlight of our visit was the exceptional service provided by our host, Melvin. He was attentive, friendly, and made sure every detail was perfect, turning our meal into a truly memorable experience. The food was delicious, with generous portions and a great selection to choose from. We left with full hearts and happy stomachs, looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommend!

Went here for a co-workers leaving party. Nice pub with more of a restaurant type feeling. Incredible good service from Matthew who remembered my recurring drink order from the first time I said it and was particularly friendly to all of us.

Popped in for a beer to rehydrate after having given blood. It looked fancy and felt fancy when I was there. The selection of beer was okay, mainly Wimbledon brewery and they had wine in tap, which I did think was craft beer. Very dog friendly. Didn't have anything to eat but the food looked good, and I imagine would be a good brunch venue.

The Crane Tap is almost tucked away from the main road at Twickenham and we walked in having no other option at the time. But boy did the Crane delivery. We were greeted by friendly staff, had a much needed rest on comfortable seating in the restaurant area and the food was awesome. It has even become a regular occurrence when we are in the area. Recommend it unreservedly

Dropped in for drinks. £48 for 3 large white wines and 2 packets of crisps. Even for Twickenham this is too expensive. No prices on display. When challenged the bar man said that it was his first day. We enjoyed sitting out by the fountains but left to eat elsewhere- where a bottle cost half the price of those ridiculous Crane prices.

Wow. Food was out of this world. They were able to tell breed and source of cattle for steaks and the cooking and service were fab. Superb

Watched the 2022 World Cup there it was an amazing place! Kind surroundings, fast service, couldn't pick a better place to watch the match!!

We went here for the first time for Mother’s Day. We had the bottomless roast, the food was great, the service was very good. 2 minor challenges are parking and also it felt like the tables were close together. Minor feedback.

Great place. This is more of a higher end restaurant than a pub; but it is not overpriced. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of the establishment. The atmosphere is warm and inviting with lots of comfy places to sit, including couches. The superfood salad was amazing. I ordered the small and it was so good I wish I had ordered the large. I could’ve paid more for a burger somewhere else so I’m glad I picked this place to eat. If you go there in 2024, ask if Rufus is there, and if he is, say Hello.

The food was really bad. Way way overpriced. We had to wait quite a while for each course. Drinks also took ages. We left feeling like we will never go back there. Much better as M bar.

The Crane Tap does a superb 'all you can eat' Sunday roast. Tremendous value and superb quality. Highly recommended. Definitely book in advance.

Not cheap but not a rip off, very good sports bar, with pool table, darts, decks of cards and other stuff with sport always on the TVs

The female manager was clueless. The hefty looking chef was careless and the fatty, gristly steak sandwich was unpleasant.

We are happy to have the Crane Tap as our local in Twickenham. Good good and drinks in a nice relaxing atmosphere. Excellent service and couldn’t ask for a more dog friendly pub. Our dog loves to go - recommend the doggie afternoon tea.

Celebrated my birthday here at the green tap staff were friendly the steak was amazing. Thank you to the staff for the slice of brownie cake with a happy birthday message. Will be coming back

Terrible weather. Deluge. Food fine. My friend had incredible kale salad.

Service a bit slow to begin with but got better, very convenient located across from Twickenham station. Looked like it would be great to watch sports here.

Big big portions of course it is rugger country. I'm lactose intolerant I can have dairy but too much. I was asked to sign to say although the onion soup had dairy in it I was OK to eat it. I'm intolerant not allergic to dairy. Odd I suppose to prevent legal claims? Anyway the onion soup was 😋

Came across this place by chance after the rugby. We had a meal prior to heading home, and it was excellent. I highly recommend and will return.

Had to wait a very long time for 1xfish and chips. Fish was very mushy inside not the usual cod pieces

Fast, friendly service and nice atmosphere. Lose a star because a fair bit was sold out, and the menu was limited compared to what was shown online. It was a match day though so could be why!

We went for a dinner on a busy Saturday evening without a reservation. Lovely atmosphere, staff very attentive and helpful especially boy named Andrea. Steaks cooked to perfection, truffle parmesan fries just WOW. We couldn't ask for more. Definitely recommend.

We were 9 people having a Sunday roast and decided on a bottomless roast. Honestly, it was one of the nicest roasts I've ever had in a pub. The meats were all really, really delicious, the Yorkshire puddings were to die for. Our eyes were slightly larger than our stomachs but well worth it! Will go there again!

Overpriced, overcooked and tasteless fish and chips. When I asked for a glass of medium sauvignon was given a glass for £12 almost at much as meal - a joke! Check the menu first! Limited vegetarian or vegan options Wouldn't bother with the food - nice atmosphere for a few beers.

I've had dinner and Sunday lunch at The Crane Tap and enjoyed both. Friendly service and great food.

Atmosphere is very warm and having pool table and darts is a great addition. However, over the last week while advertising 11pm closing times they have been closed at 21:15. This is not a problem however they should advertise correct closing hours online so it prevents showing up then having to head back home.

Special occasion dinner. After waiting for a while felt left out . Waitress running by but ignoring. Had to call and waive to get attention to find out that we'll be served by someone else. No water was offered or drinks. After right person approached orders went quit slow. Evening Special was recommended as a great deal left people disappointed and tricked. One stake came overdone, share two recommendation left friends hungry. I ordered something different . It was ok. Other waiter run into our waiter that caused him spill drink on one of the friends shoulder. Didn't even stop to apologise his colleague or my friend. Other than that we had good evening, our waiter was polite, attended.

Horrible, horrendous and overpriced, and the worst burger and fries I have ever had. The atmosphere was hostile, the staff were rude, and there were far too many running around bumping into our chairs.

The Crane Tap was great, quick service, pool table and darts board on offer. But the food was below standard. We order d the chicken club and it had the tiniest bit of chicken and a half bacon rasher in each side of the sandwich. It was fairly cheap £13 but no where near worth it in the end. Also the chips portion was small.

Staff is very nice, always trying to make you feel at home.

Short of staff (there was only one waiter looking for all the tables on a Saturday evening!), the worst (totally dry) chicken wings, dry sticky toffee pudding (not sure how they dried this standard dessert) and Beef Ragu Pappardelle (which was soaked in bbq sauce)! Avoid if you are after a normal dinner.

I am sure it a very good place (it was recommended to us) and we just had a bad experience but myself and my friends all left very disappointed. Food was not good, eg chicken burger had very little chicken, the crispy coating was far too thick and dark brown instead of golden, the meat burger was far too thin. The service was pleasant but soooo slooow. On a busy day maybe but when went there were 2-3 tables at most. Will go again to give them a chance but will need to improve to keep customers or get new ones.

Lovely place for a meal while we were visiting the area. GF quite well catered for but could be better. Meals took a while but we're nice and tasty, although not that hot and the steaks were not quite cooked as we asked. However the meat was superb. Very render. Service was good and waitress was lovely. Very attentive and informative
