The food was good, unfortunately we waited a bit to be served, but their bread is great to fill our hanger while waiting. Service was good

Además, no obtuvimos lo que pedimos. El koobideh era demasiado salado. Qué tragedia dada lo bueno que solía ser este restaurante.

This is an authentic, high quality Iranian restaurant. The freshly made bread is excellent and the grilled meats are delicious. The generous portions are also much appreciated! Local Iranian friends all also say they enjoy visiting Faanoos.

What’s happened to the lovely bread had Hummus and waited and the oven never went on when asked was give a bit of pre cooked garlic bread (£4.95) The bread was their signature dish. Disappointing.

Highly reccommend this small restaurant in the centre of East Sheen. Warm and friendly atmosphere & exceptionally tasty food at sensible prices.

Lovely food and very nice and friendly staff. The place is a little gem. The food was so amazing!!! We got the grill plate sharer for two and grilled aubergine and the yoghurt with cucumber as a starter. The bread was made fresh in the oven in front of our eyes. Apologies for not the best photos, as we made it during our meal 😂. Not when it was served. I recommend this place. Tasty meat, well presented and clean. No loud music and the staff is so nice. And please try their tea, it was so nice. Thank you everyone today (19/10) You will find this place opposite bus stop "X" (337 bus).

Small, intimate space serving authetic persian food with the most attentive staff. Quality dishes with my favourite being their saffron rice and joojesh kebab! Will visit again, highly recommend to anyone in the area!

Es la tercera vez que visitamos Faanoo's. Ambas veces anteriores hemos estado encantados con la comida y disfrutamos del servicio. Esta vez, me entristece decir que estábamos abrumados. La principal atracción aquí siempre ha sido el pan persa recién horneado directamente del horno de barro. Sin embargo, el pan que nos sirvieron esta noche con nuestros kebabs de pollo estaba frío como piedra y claramente había sido cocinado con mucha antelación. En lugar de ser cálido y flexible, era seco, quebradizo y poco apetitoso. Los kebabs de pollo y cordero estaban tan sabrosos como recordábamos, pero el acompañamiento de la ensalada estaba muy preparado y mal presentado. El hummus starter también tiene un sobreprecio de £ 5. 50 , dado que no viene con pan (que se tiene que comprar aparte) Tristemente nuestra experiencia fue decepcionante y no volveremos.

Poor service, food was bought out at random times rather than together and we had to ask multiple times for our food to be bought out. Prices are 10% higher than on the menu as they add a "service charge" that's compulsory.

A gem of a local restaurant with friendly staff and authentic Persian food. Very generous portions and delicious freshly baked bread.

Was served by Ashkan. He was respectful, attentive, and positive. The food portion and quality were per usual, and we had a great experience.

There are quite a few vegetarian dishes on the menu but they haven’t been available all three times we visited. Decided not to go again. If you are a vegetarian there’s not much choice here!

We were group of 15 work mates, came to this Restaurant without pre booking and weren't expecting the quality and the service we experienced. Highly recommended, going back there for sure!

This magical place is hidden behind a bus stop (X) in East sheen. We enjoyed a super fresh lamb fillet called "chelo kabab chenje" which is the best lamb I've ever had. We also had Hummus and aubergine Dish called "kashke bademjan" combined with a very tasty bread made in a clay oven infront of us. Oil painting and music tiles, straw clay walls and a persian bread oven called "tanoor", created a unforgettable experience for us. Very friendly staff and best value for money. Definitely recommend this place

This place used to be really good, my favourite option when I would be back in the area. Ordered my food in the restaurant and waited for a while, then got home and they got it all wrong. Called them up and they didn't even offer to fix it or offer a refund. Poor service and the food quality has dropped. Not eating there again.

You sent me the canned food 2 years ago, don't treat your customers like a hamless, we paid for this food and you should respect us too Do not do this to people. I ordered food. You prepared canned food for me and sent it to Josh. I would be ashamed if I were you

Ordered kebab koobideh and got the smallest, burnt and charred koobideh’s I’ve ever seen. They also gave me a minuscule amount of rice, half the container is empty!!!! I rang them to complain about the rice and they told me that this is an ‘English portion of rice’ and that they ‘give more rice if you put in the notes that you are Iranian’. They hung up on me, terrible rude staff. The food also took 90 minutes to arrive and was barely warm. If I could give one star I would, stay away and save yourself from disappointment and wasting your money. Also the kashk and bademjan has no kashk or sautéed mint or onions on it!!! (An important element of the dish). It’s also swimming in oil.

Beautiful place in Chiswick I can’t believe I’ve never visited before yesterday! Really lovely atmosphere. Polite and friendly staff and good quality food! The setting really makes you feel like you’ve stepped out of London, good music, good options. Just great!

We ate in for our first time last night. The food portions were heaping, we had a starter and mixed grill for two with a side of bread, pot of Persian tea, beer and were so stuffed walking home was a lot. The atmosphere is charming: lots of oil paintings, posters and gorgeous textiles, a heaving shelf of old ceramic pots, walls done up in wattle and daub that made us feel like we were in a Persian village rather than East Sheen. The lighting was low and music not too loud. The staff was slammed as clearly this place is well loved. Sadly, a very entitled woman made an embarrassing (for her) scene because she had to wait for her take away order. I ask her: What do you expect from a small and popular restaurant on a busy Friday night?! She loudly complained her order is always wrong… but on that logic, why does she keep coming back?! Clearly the food is worth it to her, even though she acted like a petulant toddler for all to witness. She should have gone to papa John’s for the wait she desired. Or maybe got herself a ready meal from Waitrose. Or even Order take away like a normal person on Uber Eats or Deliveroo. You can even call it in ahead of time. Sheesh. The price for two, with drinks and 2 courses was £61. I think nowadays that is a reasonable date night meal. 4 dishes total and 4 drinks. My husband and I left happy and felt more bonded than we have in a long time. It was an excellent date.

Exceedingly overpriced for below mediocre quality. It used to be better / better priced but not anymore. Small amount of chicken, measly salad on the plate (no olive oil) - essentially a plate of rice. 5 pounds for a small, thin piece of garlic bread? £70 for 3 people - for a basic dish each, thi garlic bread & hummus and only one glass of wine and 1 tea. What a shame.

Firmly established in the SW14 firmament of restaurants, Fanoos is justifiably popular. The restaurant itself is pretty small and cosy with a bread oven pumping out heat. Takeaways are very good. Portion sizes are pretty generous, especially the mixed starters and the lamb/chicken grills are succulent. The rice with seeds on top is sublime. Very lovely staff, I get the impression it's a family-run place.

Basically the waitress was so polite and respectful. Also the food was fresh and hot with absolutely amazing taste. Following that there is such a nice traditional design that makes you feel so good😍. I would recommend to try it once

Affordable Persian food, really good quality ingredients - must try the kebab and chicken on the bone

Average service, food took over an hour to come, fish had loads of bones with very little sauce so was quite tasteless, however the vegetarian stew tasted nice. The fish was too expensive for being given no sauce.

All these negative reviews are rubbish, the food is great, the waiting staff was lovely and the restaurant was full when we arrived. They make the bread fresh in a tandoor oven, you can see them making it in the restaurant it's amazing. All the food was fresh and you get what you come for, nice grilled meats. Seems like some of the other reviews, didn't know what to order or to expect in a Persian restaurant.

Food was cold. Service was below any reasonable expectation. Unfriendly and unprofessional personnel. After finishing our main course and still eating the desserts the waitress asked us to leave to free more space for new customers. Would not recommend or visit again. Way under par

We had this restaurant recommended to us by our AirBnB guide as we were staying nearby. We were not disappointed!! We enjoyed the fresh bread baked in the clay oven by the door, the other food was plentiful and delicious. I had a Persian ice cream which is one of the nicest puddings I've had. So nice We went back the following night!! The prices are VERY reasonable for the area. I wish there was one closer to where I live. I'd definitely be a regular!

We had a very pleasant meal in this small local restaurant. We both had a skewer of lamb fillet and one of chicken with rice and salad. Everything was beautifully cooked and the portions were so large that we struggled to finish it all. We had intended to have the baklava afterwards but were too full so instead we ordered some to take home with us to enjoy later. Service was excellent, the staff polite and the bill very reasonable. We will definitely return.

Really not worth bothering with two people dinning. We went there T 8.45pm and they informed us they were closing in 45 minutes. Really ? What's the point, shared experience with another friend who told me exactly the same situation happened to them. Obviously, only interested in take aways, not delivering welcoming service. So many other options available and in nicer surroundings.

I went there with a friend and it was a pleasant experience. The food was average, I had the salad Oliveh and Koobodeh and nan. Both were ok but was hoping for better. Price was good. Service OK. My score is based comparison to the same food in other restaurants I have been to.

Extremely poor service. Waited over 20 minutes to be acknowledged and have order taken. The cold starters took 40 minutes to come. After that they completely ignored us. An hour later, after complaining, the food finally came which was very cold and meat very dry and no apology. There were 2 other couples who also complained while we were there. We regularly go to Fanoos at Chiswick and the service is very good. They seem more interested in their delivery orders than serving customers in the restaurant. The experience was very disappointing. Won't be going here again.

Dreadful! Terrible food and wine. The 'taste of Persia' was dolmas from the tin, plain boiled rice, bland salad and dry chewy lamb. The traditional Iranian dish, Sabzi, was oily and tasteless and how can a 'cook' mess up tomato and feta salad? This restaurant is an insult Persian food.

Terrible atmosphere from the get go… we were told the place shut at 10 after arriving at 9… fine and then they literally (and aggressively) threw the bill at us. Made ro feel very uncomfortable and couldn’t finish the extremely average food served. Don’t visit - if you don’t want people’s custom, close down already.

Their food used to be really good but recently, specifically with their starters Mast Moosir and Kashke Bademjan, the quality has gone downhill and doesn’t even taste like it should. The staff were really nice and changed it to something else but still it’s really disappointing that their food quality is not the same as it used to be. Also, their menu sounds great online but when we’re at the restaurant, quite a few of their mains they don’t have either which is also disappointing. What you don’t have anymore please at least take it off from online so people don’t end up wasting their time by going out of their way to eat at your restaurant.

Terrible service. Took ages to be served. Bought mains without clearing starters then took all our cutlery and didn’t bring replacements leaving all the food to get cold. Completely inattentive the rest of the time. Food was ok and presumably the only reason they don’t go out of business. So disappointing and frustrating.

I order the starter that I love which called Kashk-e Bademjan and its came as nearly as plain rested eggplant when I ask them this is not supposed to be this way and needs yogurt they try to convince me they mixed it and I can not tested it in the end I ask more yogurt to be mix in that case where they came back saying they run out of it so they are sorry but it had to be mentioned in first place so I wouldn't order it if they don't have ingredients. I ask them to bring mirza ghisami in that case they said okay and bring it with out egg mixed even I checked menu it says on their menu it comes with fried egg. In the end I made complaint to manager hetryed to convince me that they did put in both starter right thing but I can not test it and in the end accepted that the starters both came without right ingredients and offer to make it right and finaly we get mirza ghasami as it should be . If I didn't know what this food was like or tryed few times I could get convince that I might be wrong as they were putting on me that I can not test it until I say I am eating this food many years in diferent restorants and ask them to add extra yogurt or show me the egg they would not accept it didn't have yogurt or egg in them. It was really upsetting to try and show I know what is this food like and I prefer proper one.

This restaurant used to provide a good service with reasonable food. I just took out four meals last weekend home but I was much disappointed. The quality has degraded, and quantity was not up to how it was in the past. I requested to put the rice aside from Kebabs, which they kindly did so but when I got home I realized they had put together four portions of the rice into two containers and to me that was equivalent to three portions rather four. When called the restaurant they kindly appreciated the feedback and offered complimentary dishes next time but refused to deliver what I paid for on the day when I had guests at home and the excuse was they had no-one to deliver! Such a disappointment. Overall, Jujeh was good but Kubideh was lower than expectations. I’m not sure if I buy from here again unless there is a step change in quality of the meal and services.

Excellent place with amazing food - best on high street.

Went here for a family reunion. We were a group of 11, so we took up half the restaurant. It is a cosy place, but not cramped. The food and service was good. Most of us went for the Persian classic of chelo kebabs and rice. I love the way they make the thin bread in the large stove.

Awful!!!! Put an order in at 7.15pm, every 10mins the order was pushed forward by 20mins. At 10.30pm, I gave up. 4 hungry kids, no answer to phone calls to restaurant…. Really really poor service

Lively atmospheric BYO . Food was tastey . Though some chips sprinkled in my lamb stew was weird but amusing.

Pretty mediocre. One of the part hardly ate anything so we asked to take away. Quite strange they brought out a carton and bag so we had to do ourselves. Not what you expect!

I've edited a previous 5* review. Tried to get a takeaway this Friday but the kitchen was a shambles. 1hr 15mins to get a lamb kebab, that I had to order twice and continually chase. Ended up sitting in the restaurant eating for 35 mins!!!! It appears the opening of Grillandia down the road has rattled them.

Definitely won’t recommend this place. It’s been one of our favourite restaurant for the past two years until today. The lamb was way TOO SALTY and the chicken was SO TASTELESS AND DRY. We ordered some garlic bread and it was cold and NO garlic taste/smell at all, we even thought it was the plain bread that sent to the wrong table. Informed the staff and they just simply said that ‘but it just came out from oven!’ We insisted him to touch the bread (cos it’s really cold). And he just took the bread away, not even a ‘ sorry’ or ‘I’ll change one for you’. Won’t come here again.

Best persian restaurant in London. Lovely atmosphere. The food is always great, very tasty and reasonably priced. We love the fresh bread made in front of you in the stone oven. Nice staff and fast service. New manager is very warm and friendly and knows a lot about persian food and history. Definitely recommend it!

I have been coming to this restaurant for over 4 years now, but after visiting the Faanoos three times in one month for lunch time I have experienced bad services and the person who is taking the order has a bad attitudes. I also called the restaurant for collecting and they got my order wrong and the person who took my order was Rude and told me not to touch my own food to check what I have ordered. Today I visited the restaurant and I just wanted to eat my food as fast as i could with the family and leave.

Best Iranian food in the area. Small menu, but perfectly formed. Great quality meat and a great Iranian chef.

Poor customer service. The staff asked me not to touch the takeaway until the payment has been approved. IThis will be my last order. gandum restaurant would be my next choice.

I have to say the biggest thank you to all the staff at five guys in Richmond! From the second we entered the building we received the warmest of welcomes the service was super fast with big friendly smiles and bants grrŕrreate burgers Jeromme (legend) made my day and the management all deserve a pay rise!! 5 guys more like 5 kings!!! Thank you guys keep up the great work.

I went on a Tuesday recently in the Government eat to help scheme.I walked in at midday there was a woman selfishly sitting with a screaming child dominating the whole restaurant,she looked very proud,it was outrageous.I quickly sat outside,it was drizzling and I sat under cover,the greeting was cold and unfriendly from a young girl.She gave me a menu but was abrupt and unfriendly again,I’d had the aubergine dip year’s ago but couldn’t remember what it was called,she snapped at me saying “well what do you want “,I nearly left! I had a bad glass of tepid red wine and the dip arrived with bread,it was ok,I had the same again and another glass of tepid red-I asked for some chips too.The second dip appeared but no chips,eventually I had to get up go inside and get my chips,they came-stone cold.Personally I won’t be going back,save your money and go and find a smile elsewhere...

The food is good and fairly traditional. The sizes are good and you will be pleased with the flavours however, the place was a bit dirty around and in the toilets + we felt a bit like being asked to leave in a hurry at the end and the service wasn't entirely great. Overall, it was good but, it could be better. My view is that the restaurant is more orientated around take away, rather than the restaurant itself.

We dropped in here for lunch. We had the mixed grill and some flatbread, It was delicious, although if I were to choose I would go for the lamb over the chicken. We asked for extra salad which they gave us with no additional charge. Very friendly and reasonably priced with appropriate social distancing measures in place.

Hands down the worst iranian food in the world Meat dry, tough and old. Salad was going off. Rice overcooked and tasteless. No pride. No passion. An insult to persian cuisine.

Order via Deliveroo and it was incredible! Delicious food and such sweet service! Will definitely be coming back. Thank you for making sure I got zereshk polo. I miss my mom's cooking during lockdown so this was a lovely surprise!

متشکرم Thank you to everyone who helped celebrate my birthday. The staff were patient - It took a while for me to order. Generously there were a couple of items that didn't appear on the bill. My grandson mentioned how he saw our bread being taken to their clay oven and cooked. Good for him and us. If your highest priority is the quality of your meal then Faanoos delivers.
