Everytime I visit, there is always a warm welcome. I especially love having a cup of tea while sinking into one of their luxury armchairs. If the food or drink wasn't right, then a friendly word was met with a friendly response. I paricularly liked the toilet vibe downstairs. I'm funny about toilets, but this is up my street. You can be yourself around like minded people. Neurodivergent friendly. Thank you Kathryn.

Whatever happened to basic hygiene? Second visit to the Coven for tea and scones. To start with the table we sat at had not been particularly well cleaned. When the waitress brought us the tea she dropped my teaspoon with the little pumpkin shaped sweet placed on it on the table. She proceeded to replace the teaspoon on my saucer and then picked the sweet up with her fingers and place it back on the teaspoon. When she bought the scones she dropped my knife on the floor. She then picked the knife up off the floor and placed it on the table. When I asked her for a clean replacement she said it wasn't necessary and it was OK as the knife was wrapped in and protected by a napkin! (good grief - and customers do use the napkin too by the way!). As if that wasn't enough, to top it all off when I went to butter on my scone there was a hair in the butter! Sorry Coven but we will not be returning which is a pity as it is a great little place.

Well , expect the unexpected from one room to another. More an experience than a shop/tea room. Had to buy something and will find reasons to return but not for everybody.

THE most wonderful shop ever. All of the staff are lovely and welcoming, whether you are there for the first time or you are a regular. The warmth of the atmosphere as you walk in is amazing. You have an amazing choice with teas and coffees, far better than any coffee shop I have ever seen. The presentation of them is also wonderful with the most delicate teacups I have ever seen, yet they hold a surprising amount. We came for "a quick coffee" before we began shopping and left 3 hours later! There is so much to look at and fiddle with. If you have any questions about something, they are happy to answer them. I loved my mixture of teas so much that I wanted to take them home. They actually made me some tea bags, right there and then in the shop and filled them with my "brew" of choice. I adore this shop and I know I will spend many happy times here.

The Coven is back! Now moved to The Crescent Quirky, unusual curiosities to look at and buy whilst enjoying a lovely unusual variety of drinks. Drinks all served in charming original crockery with skulls, bats etc Had a nice piece of lemon sponge and recommend Mrs Dowsons "Pear Drop" ice-cream is so yummy 😋☺️

I visited The Coven Tea Room last year for lunch and loved the food and decor. It’s well off the beaten track but a true hidden gem. It’s down a back street next to a glass workshop which I attended. The style is a mix of goth/ steampunk / Victoriana. I booked afternoon tea for 6 of us. The choices of sandwiches and cakes were amazing . We were offered the function room at the back of the shop which felt really special and private. The food was perfect and we had a choice of some 80 tea types! The crockery and teapots were so quirky and created something so special. You really need to see it to understand. We spent a lovely few hours chatting and eating in our own private dining area. At £15 per person it was competitively priced. The attention to detail spilled over into the toilet! If you are in Lytham or indeed live in the Wyre area it’s definitely a place to try for a quiet coffee / tea/ cake or afternoon tea. There are also gifts for sale and a very extensive interesting haberdashery room. I am pretty certain we shall be returning 💕

What a random but brilliant little tearoom! Cake = awesome, Staff = super friendly and very cool people, ambience = friendly and super relaxed. Plenty to look at if and almost impossible to leave empty handed. Mystical, magical, whimsical, sensational - a great place for a change from the usual scene.

Best fish & chips have been to in all UK. Sometimes the chips are a bit dry. Fish batter is incredible. The video transitioning menu’s are stupid. Just as we’re looking it transitions to something else, leave menu on to be seen. There’s been a few young staff over the years with an attitude or impatient, like asking what we want while looking at menu and waiting for the stupid menu to transition. Last one was holding my tray while talking to colleague all over my food. Had to say something.

Excellent value for money, nicely prepared and hot breakfast (even the beans were piping hot unlike some other breakfasts).
