Fantastic place to eat or have a casual drink, happy hour from 5pm -7pm, food and service was exceptional. Will definitely return when in Tenby.

Decent, if not great food in a reasonable pub. The Cover Burger was too dense and under-seasoned. Nice beef chilli.

Great night here on Newyears Eve, staff were fantastic, requested a quietish table and they didn't disappoint. Seated the 8 of us with ease on a great table down the back, plenty of space and still able to hear the DJ. Nice to see they kept the two areas bar and restaurant separate. The staff were outstanding catering for all our needs plenty of drinks flowing and made sure we didn't need anything else. Food was great, plenty of it and very well cooked, so glad we chose to go here and would definitely recommend to my 2.5m followers and reviewers. 🍻

The best is the staff working. They are super nice. Very nice inside. The food wasn’t that good and really overpriced. £20 pounds for mediocre fish and chips. They only have to fry it we are not talking about elaborating a meal.

Just returned from this restaurant/bar. It appears to be a great place for drinks but sadly the food lets it down. The lunch menu here is EXPENSIVE and I ordered a prawn Marie Rose sandwich at £ 10.50 .It arrived on sliced white sandwich bread, with bland tasting prawns drenched in a nasty tasting vinaigrette. This unappetising dressing was also accompanying the salad. I could also taste a cheap margarine on the bread which didn’t help!The coleslaw was also watery and vinegary. Disappointing!!

Great place for cocktails. 241 between 5 and 7pm and they didn’t disappoint. Great choice and well made and presented. Staff were friendly and helpful and the place had a nice atmosphere and was busy which is always a positive.

Lovely places and fab Sunday lunch. Nicely presented and not too much. Good and friendly service. Didn’t give a 5 as not the most comfortable o sit in as tables a bit squashed but didn’t detract from the general experience.

We stopped in for lunch and it was such a nice atmosphere with such tasty food that we made a reservation for the evening. The staff were so nice, friendly and attentive - one of the waitresses noticed my father in law was wearing a birthday badge and offered to put balloons out on the table for the evening, completely unprompted, it was a very nice touch.

Didn't have food here but stopped for a drink .. lovely settling and lovely atmosphere . My only criticism is the customer allowed to vape while she was having a drink . While it probably doesn't bother most people I personally find it a bit off-putting to return and have food but will consider it because the menu really does look lovely.

After fancying a Sunday lunch and googling best places in Tenby, we came across this place.The pics looked good and liked the fact if not all of us wanted Sunday lunch there was other options! Booked and upon arrival seated promptly drink orders taken took around 10 minutes to arrive ordered food A sharing beef&turkey platter for 2 ,ribs, pie of the day and Mac and cheese with chorizo,took around 30 minutes Pie bland and for £15:50 a small portion,ribs nice but came with cold fries,the Mac was terrible and dry.But the platter which I had such high hopes for was rubbish.the Turkey was a bland and cold processed joint and beef not great ,though when 2 eating id expect with 2 or 4 slices but we had 3! A tiny veg dish which was around a tablespoon each of mashed swede,peas and red cabbage and a bowl of watery creamed leeks.to say we were disappointed was a understatement,I’d definitely not return sadly

Unattended staff, chipped plate, unhelpful, only 2 desserts available. Overcooked steak. Tasteless greasy fish.... I could go on, but just not worth the effort. Our advice, although for most restaurants its 'fishing in a bucket,' I'd look elsewhere for dinner.

Our food was tasteless and served lukewarm, not good value for money either. We shared the calamari starter - four pieces of calamari for £8, it had no flavour. It was accompanied by "aioli" - generic, bought mayonnaise with no discernible garlic content. Mains - I had sea bass, small portion, bottled "thermidor" sauce, undercooked potatoes. Accompanied by the most tasteless prawns I have ever had. My other half had the swordfish which was tender and meaty but again lacking flavour. No-one asked how our meal was at any point. A shared starter, plus a drink and a main course each was over £60. We certainly will not return. There was no heart to the operation, and no indication that anyone cared about the quality or the experience customers had.

The staff seemed a bit lazy and aloof. They were nice though. We sat near the kitchen and the door to it was open. The chefs were blaring out music which clashed with the music that was playing out front. I ordered the chef's special which was tagliatelle with sliced rump steak. The pasta was bland and the steak was very undercooked as well as bland. I asked them to cook it a bit more and it was better, but it was still quite tasteless. I would not recommend.

It was a very busy Sunday afternoon but the young lady arranged for a table for five, including a two year old and we were made to feel very welcome. Four of us had the Sunday lunch, (beef) and every meal was a delight to eat. The food was hot, tasty and very well presented, the veg was perfectly cooked too. The serving and bar staff were all very pleasant and we had a lovely dining experience, thank you!

Arrived at 12.23pm for my booking... seated for 20 mins still no offer of drinks so I went and got my own drinks. Food then took 50 mins to arrive to which it was luke warm but very tasty. Dust everywhere all over artifical flowers and a dusty bike right above table. Floor felt like it had been moped with grease very slippery. Dogs sitting on chairs. Very cold had a fire but was for show. Overall poor experience as a waitress myself I really think you need to re evaluate your staff!!!!! Worst experience I've had in tenby

We have visited The Cove several times over the last few years we enjoy the setting and the selection of food and drink. We travelled to Tenby in August for a one night stay and went to The Cove which we now regret and can echo other reviews regarding service. We waited an excessive amount of time for two burger meals well in excess of an hour. We did not have any appetisers. It was a Thursday night and it was obvious the restaurant or kitchen were and have been experiencing staffing vs demand issues. It is not a large restaurant but there seems to be an issue with the amount of covers they attempt to handle. On future visits to Tenby we will have to give The Cove a miss.

We enjoyed a fantastic evening meal here whilst In Tenby, food came promptly and was really nice. Sharing plater was lush and the staff were friendly. Reasonably priced too.

We recently visited the Cove. I have to say the fish that I ordered was possibly one of the nicest and fresh pieces of fish I have ever eaten. Also both my missus and children enjoyed their food. The overall service was fantastic. I highly recommend the Cove for a nice meal.

We turned up without having booked a table whilst on holiday in Tenby last week. It was about 5pm. We were seated and order was promptly taken. Our food was very tasty and hot - exactly how I like it. Five minutes before our meals came out, however, the lights were dimmed to the point we couldn’t see our food very well. I do like to see my food when I’m eating it to check if it’s cooked thoroughly etc so my recommendation would be to maybe wait until later to dim the lights. I would definitely return as we enjoyed our meals so much. Just don’t dim the lights too early!

A relaxed restaurant with a great menu, good choice of drinks too. But advised to book in advance to garentuee a seat. Live music and dj in the evenings and food was very good

Nice atmosphere if you want music & lively bar. Service was ok, food was extremely average to disappointing, steak wasn’t great def not worth money. Key lime pie was watery & bland tasted frozen bought. I’m told the Eton mess not much better. Probably nicer places to eat for what you pay. Won’t be returning.

Visited tenby for a day on the beach. This is my second time at The Cove and they offer very nice food at reasonable prices. Kids menu is great for young ones and there is a very good vibe. Would recommend to anyone visiting.

Incredibly slow service for our food order. When we asked where our food was? No apology. Eventually arrived. Prawns inedible. Lasagne only average. Did refund the cost of the prawns quickly and efficiently

My recent visit to The Cove in Tenby was a mixed experience. While the atmosphere in the restaurant was fantastic, and the staff were brilliant, I must admit that the food left much to be desired. I ordered the 20oz Rump steak, hoping for a succulent and flavorful cut. Unfortunately, what arrived on my plate was a very thin and overcooked piece of meat, which was quite disappointing. The steak lacked the tenderness and juiciness I had anticipated, and it felt overpriced for the quality. Moreover, the sauce options for the steak were rather basic, not adding much excitement or flavor enhancement to the dish. I had hoped for more creative and delectable choices to complement the steak, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case. On a positive note, the restaurant's ambiance was lovely, creating a warm and inviting setting for diners. The decor and setting added to the overall experience, making it a comfortable and enjoyable place to spend an evening. The staff at The Cove truly shone during my visit. They were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure that our dining needs were met. Their exceptional service was a definite highlight of the evening, and it made the experience more pleasant. Another aspect worth mentioning is their excellent marketing efforts on social media. The restaurant's online presence was engaging, and it piqued my interest in visiting The Cove. Vibe isn’t bad and prices are okay when 2 for 1 is on but gone down hill a bit recently. Food is pretty average for the price and the cocktails get worse every time I’ve gone in to the point where it’s almost not drinkable. Staff sent the friendliest either and service is quite slow even on a quiet night.

A table was reserved for 7.30 for a 50th birthday party. Firstly we didn't get to sit down at said table until gone 8pm. Then just as we were settled in, we were told not by management or staff, But by the band that was meant to play that we had to get up and move. Apparently we were to be told to move to a different table. We then had to wait until gone 9 for another table to become available. I'm sorry, but if a table is reserved, then you should make the effort to keep it that way. And as for the band telling us to move instead of the staff it's rather embarrassing. The group I was with had to stand up for ages just milling about with their drinks waiting for tables. Shambles really. The only plus said to the place was the drinks and the two lads behind the bar who were lovely.

I get fed up spending money to be served up something as bad as this. Don't touch the Crab Salmon Linguine, Butternut Ravioli or Swordfish Steak. To be fair, the Lamb was really quite good. Nice staff were overwhelmed.

Some lovely food options however the chips are not cooked in their own fryer which means they weren’t gluten free. Had a limited menu to choose from hence lower rating. Also mentioned eton mess was not gluten free so not really sure about the place!

Very bizzy when we went in about 2:30 was shown to a table at the back of the restaurant by a young lad then forgot about. Once given our order everything went a lot better. Food was freshly prepared and enjoyable.

We had a Sunday Roast which was excellent. A table was available as we had not pre booked. Service was prompt despite them being very busy. A dog bowl was provided on request. Not the cheapest Sunday Roast, but, certainly not the most expensive.

Trying new menu Crab Taco. I thought I would have a light meal but very filling and big potion. I love seafoods but alway fussy with them too. This menu was beyond what I expected. Plus my little one loved fish and chips here too(first time she finished all fish). Fish was fresh and not soaking with oil like another. It made me feel like I was finally in the seaside restaurant 😆 Staffs were wonderful too.

We have visited this restaurant three times before & the food was amazing. However we visited yesterday & it was truly awful. My husband’s steak was inedible but our dog enjoyed it. My chicken fajitas weren’t what I expected. To me the flatbread comes separate to build your own. It was just chicken coated in a sauce & literally piled on top of my 3 flatbreads so the sauce had soaked through the breads which I couldn’t fill & roll myself. Plus it was just chicken. No peppers/onions etc. The waitress was very helpful & we should have shared our concerns but we just wanted to get out of there asap. Like I said the last 3 times were amazing so perhaps there was a new chef or chef was having an off day. But whatever the reason that’s £53 down the drain.

Lots of food options and a really nice restaurant. I had the chicken fajitas, they were different to fajitas you might expect and had to be eaten with cutlery but they were soo tasty and filling!

Unfortunately poor offerings for vegetarians. Personally my food (meat feast plate) was very good, the meat was tender and tasted good, however the others meals at the table were quite underwhelming especially the ultimate macaroni cheese (wasn't macaroni, also not much to distinguish it from a children's pasta meal, no toppings, no seasoning), and the vegetarian fajitas (unseasoned and unsuitable veg, peppers or black beans would have been more suitable than aubergine). The chicken fajitas had a better flavour but didn't come with any red peppers or onions or anything, which I think was odd. The service was perfectly fine, I just wouldn't recommend eating here at all if you are a vegetarian, Meat eaters should be just fine though.

Great for meat eaters, disappointing for vegetarians. The vegetarian options on the menu aren't very thought out, we had the macaroni cheese and the vegetable fajitas. The macaroni cheese was made with penne, the sauce is very mild in flavour, kind of like a kids cheesy pasta. The vegetarian fajitas didn't have traditional fajita vegetables only onion, courgette and large pieces of tomato. The vegetables weren't seasoned with any kind of spices so it was just vegetable wraps, expensive ones at that. Our friends who eat meat had the chicken fajitas and the meat feast. The chicken fajitas were good, lots of chicken but no vegetables at all. The meat feast was also very nice. Overall good for meat eaters but not vegetarians even with multiple options available. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, can't fault the service at all!

I recently visited the Cove Restaurant and had a really enjoyable experience. The highlight of for me was definitely the sea food pasta, which was very tasty and full of flavor. The portion size was also generous, which was a nice surprise. The atmosphere of the restaurant was also very nice, with a cozy and welcoming interior design. I appreciated the overall vibe of the restaurant. While my experience was mostly positive, I didn't give the restaurant five stars as I have experienced service that has been just a bit better in other restaurants. However, it's worth noting that the restaurant was quite busy, and this may have contributed to the rushed service. Overall, I would highly recommend the Cove Restaurant for anyone looking for a delicious meal in a cozy atmosphere. The sea food pasta was definitely a highlight, and the overall experience was very enjoyable.

Firstly as we walked in we were faced by a sign that said wait here to be seated .... then a young lad stared at us from behind the bar until I approached and asked for a table for 2... even though the place wasn't very busy we were offered a table right by the bar which was fine but not very cosy when the 2 booths were kept empty through out our lunch ... Then we proceeded to order our lunch... the lager was a bit flat and never have I seen tomatoes in a caesar salad... but it was okay. On the service part the cutlery was just flopped on the side of the table from behind by the same young lad who somewhat greeted us. With a bit of attention to detail from the staff it would have been a much better experience.
