Booked based on menu online (appeared to have a good range of seafood). On arrival only seafood pie (which to be fair was pretty good) o r fish and chips available (not the sea bass linguine we'd been looking forward to). Place was very noisy which might suit a younger crowd, but with my hearing aids made it impossible to talk. Had to order from the bar not table service. Not what I expect from a gastro pub.

Comfortable, cozy and welcoming. I visited on a bitterly cold evening and enjoyed a couple of beers whilst sitting close to the deliciously warming real fire. Not just a tourist haunt, this pub is very much a place for locals and the atmosphere is that of a vibrant neighborhood hub. The walls are adorned with historical photos, press cuttings and nic nacks - take a little time to look at them (the article headed, "Tenby man found naked with goat" is worth a read). There is a reasonable selection of alcohol beers/cider but there is room to improve (it's certainly a fastly growing market).

Best meal out we have had in a long time. The fish pie was absolutely delicious and the Cajun spiced mackerel was outstanding. Just what we needed to warm up on a cold wet day. Our server was very friendly and provided allergen sheets for the whole menu (good options for gluten intolerance). Service was quick, although we did visit on a Monday, and portions were great. We went to the Hope & Anchor in Tenby for Sunday lunch today - I wished I'd taken a picture. The roast was literally out of this world. Roast beef, Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, roast parsnips, brocolli, carrots, cabbage, leeks in a cheese sauce, mashed swede and delicious homemade gravy. (It said on the menu all vegetables were locally sourced and they were cooked to perfection). I am noted in my family for cooking a lovely roast but even I would've struggled to beat this roast. It has to be said this roast was amazing, served by helpful, pleasant staff.

Came here for an evening meal while on holiday in Tenby - we hadn’t booked, but they found us a table in their outside eating area. Since it was a bit chilly, the helpful young server turned on the overhead heater for which we were very grateful. Husband had an enormous fish pie and I had a huge pile off very good quality mussels and fresh bread. We shared a bowl of chips. All the food was excellent and arrived promptly. As I can’t drink alcohol, due to a medical condition, I was glad to be offered an alcohol free larger and lime which was delicious. They even had a handicapped toilet on the ground floor to which the manager kindly took me. Excellent service all round. Price was very fair for the quantity and quality of the food. Four stars for food and waiting team, but be expected to be rushed out. We booked a table the day before for an evening meal, as we expected it to be busy. A usual table time is 2 hours. We ordered our food and drinks at the same time at the bar, this was a bit hectic as it was busy and people stood drinking at the bar, therefore you are shouting your order across the bar. If eating in the restaurant table service would be better to avoid the queues at the bar and mistakes being made. We ordered two fish mains and three children’s meals, with additional sides drinks, and a bottle of wine. The food came out quickly which was great for us having kids. There was a mistake made with one of the children’s meals but was rectified quickly , the young waiters were so helpful and friendly. The food was amazing, live mussels and the cod curry, we did want crab as had seen this advertised but sadly wasn’t available. After we had finished our mains we were drinking our wine and having a rest deciding on puddings, when the manager approached us and asked us when would we be leaving as they needed the table, despite other tables being empty. We had only been there an hour and already spent £100.00. Although the manager did return to the table to apologise, it had annoyed us so we left and bought puddings and more drinks elsewhere.

First visit. Just a day trip to Tenby and happened to chose this place based on reviews. We thought the food was okay….if you’re hungry it’s fine - massive portions but felt the quality wasn’t worth the price. I had the Cajun chicken. It wasn’t Cajun, looked more like tandoori but didn’t taste any spice. Husband said fish and chips was…ok. Kids sausages looked cheap. Just felt like they should have spent a bit more money on their ingredients and served a slightly smaller portion - there must be a lot of food waste.. Atmosphere was nice and staff were friendly.

I've been reading other reviews and wish I had taken note on their advise beforehand. I recommended my family to try this one but have received bad review. They ordered the fish pie and the seabass from the specials board, plus a child's sausage & chips. The two adult meals were mediocre, nothing special. The main issue is the child's meal. On the menu, which was poorly worded, implied kids meals came with chips (or potatoes) and side salad (with peas/beans available as options). However it arrived as literally some sausages and chips on a plate. No salad, no vegetables, nothing. They questioned the server about this, and he "went away to check", then came back and said the meal given was correct, as customers are supposed to specifically say they want salad, otherwise it's not included. Given the description on the menu they found that to be unacceptable. Not least because they don't know how they can justify a complete lack of veg/salad as a fully rounded meal for a child. They didn't want to have a big argument about it so some salad was shared, but the poor customer service did let down the experience. This is just to show that their the menu is not clear, that they would rather save some pitiful amount of money by expecting customers to ask for it (which is completely ridiculous), and were willing to blame the customer when the customer raise the issue. There are much better restaurants in Tenby so do yourself a favour, try others!

Do not pass this pub by it is fantastic. The staff do everything they can to find you a table. Food is plentiful and delicious. Try the specials. We very rarely on holiday eat in the same place but this venue draws you in. You can book a table.

Wouldn’t return! Went today for a meal and was very unimpressed! Cold, frozen and deep fried! And very cheap mayonnaise and ketchup that taste just like vinegar in sachets. Very underwhelming and disappointing as it isn’t cheap. Staff need to learn to smile too! Was a lovely blonde lady though but rest made me feel on edge! Couldn’t wait to leave and was also hungry leaving! 🥺

We have had some lovely times in the Swan whilst on holiday at Little Haven this week .We sat by the log burner with our dogs and enjoyed a very relaxed drink whilst looking over the beach .The perfect place to be ,just wonderful .

Ideal place to go with the kids and dogs on a wet day to enjoy fish & chips.
