A small courtyard area with picnic tables, a couple of small catering vans on site one sells food the other coffee, public toilets available and a watering place for dogs. It is a very popular place and can get very busy.

Ordered drinks which we were given straight away. Half an hour later after having to ask twice I was given the bacon and sausage barm. It turned out to be two very cheap sausages so undercooked I thought twice about giving them my dog. The bacon was very over cooked and inedible. All served on two pieces of dry white bread they couldn’t even be bothered to cut in half. Avoid.

Whilst the staff were lovely, the food was truly terrible. I can't remember the last time I had to throw away food, but that was only option with the sausage sandwiches served. The coffee was terrible too. Ignore the photos of nice cakes, all that was available was Costco bought catering cakes. Such a shame, could be amazing.

Took nearly 40 minutes to get my order of 2 portions of fries. My friends who ordered after me waited another 10 mins after me and then cancelled the order of another 2 chips. The younger girls working behind counter were a bit rude when we asked how long the chips would take… the response was however long the chipper takes to cook. Just plain rude especially when you’ve got young kids hungry and only waiting on chips and it’s frustrating waiting that long. If they had told me how long chips would take before ordering I wouldn’t have bothered. The place wasn’t busy either so don’t understand how it can take this long for chips to cook in a fryer . They were just french fried so nothing special. Lady on the table next to me waited 30 mins for her tuna sandwich to come out which was wrapped in clingfilm … so assuming this would of been pre made earlier that day so don’t understand why that took so long to sort. Was over priced for fried also and young staff didn’t seem to care that we had been waiting ages. Like it was a normal thing.

Don’t bother if you have small children. We were chastised for feeding our son food from outside the cafe. He’s 14 months old, he had purée. We’re not going to feed him scones and ice cream, are we? Visited with friends on a Sunday morning. Tables were filthy outside, and there no effort to clean them. I asked for a cloth and spray and was told no but eventually given some paper towel with some spray on it. Covid is on the rise, but basic cleanliness is all that I wanted. Tables should be cleaned before the cafe opens, and at least throughout the day. Standards seem to have dropped here, and service takes a while. There was plenty of staff on but only one or two serving. Cakes are very nice here, but because of tables, I did not want to eat anything, so we didn't order anything. I bought a cheese and onion roll to take away, but it was a cheese mix with mayonnaise and spring onion - not the same as just cheese and sliced onion. It was not tasty and greasy with the mayo - a shame!

I went with a group of people to visit Wythenshawe Park and when it was lunch time we went to the cafe. I ordered a cappuccino and a cheese and onion toastie. I waited for the cappuccino which was served in a takeaway cup, that was all they had and then went to sit at a table. The chair was filthy and when I took the lid off the coffee takeaway cup it just looked like a coffee with milk with chocolate sprinkles, it was not a cappuccino which should be frothy. When my toastie came it was served in a paper and plastic bag .The cutlery was also disposable. Why they don’t have pottery crockery and metal cutlery I really don’t know. Then to make matters worse I went to the toilet which was filthy the only good thing was there was toilet paper, hand wash and a hand dryer. I would be reluctant to go there again.

Generally the queues are shocking. The coffee is not good and the food seems rather overpriced. Its almost as bad as that pirate of an ice cream man. Why we have to pay a premium inside the park is something I will never understand. And the toilets, I'd say there's every chance of catching cholera or something equally as nasty.

I am shocked and disgusted by the way myself and my class of 9 children with additional SEN needs were treated today in the Courtyard by your ‘manager’ – who wasn’t willing to provide a name (funnily enough). We entered the outdoor area of the café and sat on 2 benches in the very back of the café, no where near anyone else, and there was maybe 2/3 other tables at the time, so very empty in comparison to the amount of tables. I went inside and ordered 3 meals and drinks for the adults – totalling around £16, a fair trade I thought for being able to sit in the outdoor area with the children as it was a lot safer than the park with it being enclosed. We unpacked all the children lunches – they have very specific dietary requirements (ones that your café could not cater for, even though you manager seemed to think so) I came out from ordering and was followed by a very rude lady who demanded that we packed up the children’s food and left immediately – a member of my team tried to calmly explain the situation and that the children had dietary requirements and for safeguarding reasons could we please stay here as we had ordered food. “no you can’t this is a business and you can’t bring your own food, we can provide for dietary requirements (you couldn’t) and that we could stay and eat our purchased food if we put away the children's". I am unsure how much you are aware of children with special needs but to change their routine can cause massive dysregulation and they had already started eating. We asked if they could continue whilst we waited for our food and was rudely told no and that we had to put their food away immediately. We asked how we could get our ordered food if we moved to the park and were told “well one of you can stay and the rest of you can leave with THEM” – a disgusting way to address children. We explained this was not possible as would cause massive safeguarding issues leaving our ratios down. When we left the outdoor area there wasn’t a single person left in there, so surely on this occasion with could’ve been allowed to stay to avoid upsetting all the children – I would understand if we were taking tables away from paying customers, but unsurprisingly you had none – probably due to the way your staff treat them!! I would also like to add that when my colleague went to the toilet later on she heard the same lady having a shouting match with another table for the same situation, they wanted ONE member of their group (again with additional needs) to be able to eat their own sandwich due to dietary requirements and she refused and told them they couldn’t eat it so would have to sit and not eat when everyone else was? They had purchased 11 other meals?! Extremely unprofessional behaviour and you have now lost any returning custom in us and also any recommendations to anyone else. The other customers who were in the outdoor area at the time also expressed their disgust to us regarding our treatment as well, so I am imagining this lady has cost you quite a few customers. All over 2 benches and a few packed lunches? Hardly seems worth it. This woman needs some training in customer service skills and just general human kindness and decency – to refuse a seat to children and adults with additional needs is disgusting and morally wrong and I do not know how this woman lives with herself.

When asked if they sell baby food she said ‘no’, which I’d already ascertained. But when we asked what the baby is supposed to eat as they don’t sell baby food she just said ‘it’s a cafe, we sell food, you can’t feed the baby her own’. Certainly a first for us - quite unexpected at a community park cafe. Made it quite an upsetting experience.

O dear o dear what a cafe to dine for dinner. Completely the wring choice. Ordered the fish chips and peas and for the high price it wasn't up to standard. Cold plate to start off, frozen chips not cooked in the middle and soggy batter on the frozen undercooked fish So disappointed as it was nearly empty so time was on there side to get it right The staff were nice front of house but sadly definitely won't be recommending this cafe and will never return.

So poor, overpriced. Really rude staff, young brunette was rude to us. £15 for a chicken sandwich too that was incredibly greasy. Avoid.

I ordered a sausage and bacon sandwich, was appalled to find out this only consists of a singular sausage and a single piece of bacon, on a considerably large bap. i was basically eating a butter sandwich. they then had the audacity to charge £3.20 for this
