Great place for a stop as you drive up/down the A65. There’s a cheese museum and samples available. For a picnic we enjoyed local air dried Yorkshire ham and local Yorkshire cheese on crackers in the picnic area. You can also stock up on some local beer to enjoy at home. If for no other reason, it’s worth popping in to use the cheese vending machine.

Went here about 5 years ago and loved it. Very disappointed with how it has changed. Used to be a lot more choice, now it's focused on pizza or cheese boards. We ordered five cheeses. The portions were tiny, had a few crackers on the plate. No grapes, celery, apple etc. Puddings were limited. £7 for one scoop of ice-cream. Won't be visiting again and it used to be one of our favourite places.

Beautiful views from the windows of the new eatery at the Courtyard but an atmosphere of a cafeteria. Memories of delicious truffle scrambled eggs in the cosy old pre covid cafe. Why call a restaurant Rind, the part of cheese you don't normally eat. I don't want honey on pizza and what are all the numbers on the list of toppings. I know I'm not a child but why can't I have an 8 inch pizza if I'm prepared to pay for it. Sadly this pizzeria isn't for me. I will, of course, continue to buy cheese from the amazing shop but then move swiftly on for lunch in Austwick.

Not the usual experience as you’re only allowed in one person at a time, but it’s still the same friendly service and the top quality produce. In these Covid-19 days I’m just grateful that we can have some form of shopping experience. My son chose 6 different types of cheese so that should keep him happy for the rest of the holiday!

Very good place on the A65 to stop for some food and a drink. The service was good and the food very good. My wife had the the Croque Monsieur on granary and I had the salmon sandwich on white. We had a Yorkshire tea and a coffee. Whilst the food was great and the service good, I was disappointed with my sandwich - not with the taste or anything but because the three sandwiches served were tiny. The plate was also a bit cluttered with salad etc. That sadly made it expensive for what it was. Good parking with a car charging pint too. Easy access off the A65.

they are all clearly very knowlendgable about the produce they sell but my mind was swayed by a stunning collection of single malt whiskeys in the neighbouring building. every member of staff knows their stuff and should you have a question it is answered with great detail. as soon as this bottle runs out i shall be returning wither online or to the shop. best you get some one else to drive as you can indulge in a few samples then!!

Very good cafe associated with the Courtyard dairy and cheese museum. For pretty obvious reasons a lot of the menu is based around variations using cheese although there are non cheese dishes including soup and charcuterie. It's not just cheese sandwiches either!!!! The quality of the food is first class and both freshly prepared and cooked. The service is very good too. The coffee is also very good as are the scones/cakes etc. Well worth a visit and very easy to get to as it is adjacent to the main A65.

based on that statement it was well worth a visit. he wasn't wrong. we got the last empty table on a busy Sunday lunchtime. the cheese counter downstairs had a healthy queue. our choices were a cheese and ham toastie for me and OH had the three cheese special. apart from the fact they were delicious we liked that the salad was beautifully fresh too. because we were seated fairly close to the service counter we watched raclette being prepared and thought that looked very tempting too. this place is now on our list for future trips to the area, which is a beautiful part of the world. of course we came away with some more cheeses. a Bigod brie and a fabulous Gorganzola. the service was knowledgeable and friendly. their enthusiasm shines through. just a slight thing which I'm sure is an oversight. the flier put into our bag of cheeses says the names would be on our receipt. sadly not the case. but I know next time I'll be making a noted of names so I can recommend to others. the whole establishment gets a big thumbs up from us.

Stopped off on the way home to Norfolk as we hadn’t had time in the week, so glad we did! We had bacon, grilled tomatoes and the Kirkham Lancashire cheese melted on top of an oat pancake...it was DELICIOUS, like taste explosion, mouthful of absolute joy, delicious! Of course we then had to buy some, the girls downstairs in the shop were so lovely, they let us try a variety of cheeses and it was a really nice way to end our week in the Dales!

Yes, I am a vegan and I came to The courtyard Dairy as my mum and sister really wanted to have some tasting and have lunch. I was expecting to have a very plain salad sandwich or something as nearly everything on the menu has a dairy part to it. I COULD HAVE NOT BEEN MORE WRONG. Once it was pointed out I was vegan the waitress had a word with the chef to and I got a lovely roasted pepper, tomato and walnut toasted sandwich and salad with a individual made dressing so it did not have honey in. Lovely place, atmosphere and people.

On my first visit I had the unexpectedly beautiful courgette, rosemary and fennel soup. Today I had Baba Ganouche which was stunning. I’ve been a vegan for 3 years and it’s the best meal I’ve ever eaten. My husband, who is not a vegan, had Lamb Henry and just made quiet murmurs of pleasure. If you go past here but don’t stop you are mad. The chef is clearly a genius xxx

I have visited the Courtyard Dairy a few times on holidays in the area before they moved and expanded. It was already great with knowledgable and friendly staff (and of course great cheese from a variety of artisan suppliers - some local) but the creation of the cheese museum, cheese courses and of course the cheese cafe is a triumph! Try the cheese plate or the ’racklette’ (whole cheese grilled and then scraped off onto a bowl of potatoes and picked at the table). Only problem is it’s always packed - understandably... guys I think you may need another expansion!

Recently had a brilliant stay at Crina Bottom B&B at the foot of Ingleborough (one of the 3 peaks). It is entirely off-grid but the owners have done a terrific job in making the property comfortable, clean and very attractive. The bedrooms have been furbished to a high standard and you are guaranteed a sound sleep. The en-suites are large and are like those found in a good 5 star hotel. The chef produces great breakfasts which are substantial enough to set you up for the day ahead. I would thoroughly recommend this superb B&B

This place is in a beautiful location. After a hard day cycling, we we had run out of water and food. Although the tea-room was closed we asked if our water bottles could be topped up. The lady who owns the place was busy but she could not have been more kind and helpful. She brought us delicious home-made chocolate cake and filter coffee and stayed for a chat. Absolutely amazing customer service and saved us that day! Thank you!

What a lovely quirky cafe. The owners were super friendly and welcoming. We had hot chocolate and scones with jam and cream and both the drink and scones were delicious. Best hot chocolate drink we have tasted and in a nice large cup too. There was lots of cakes to choose from and they all looked delicious. We will definitely return for lunch as the menu was very appetising.
