We popped in for a quick lunch, and weren't disappointed. The food was all delicious, the service was excellent, and the surroundings quaint and pretty. The loos were fab too. Wish we lived near enough to visit every week!

20th Oct 2021 Popped in on a rainy weekday in Norwich with my wife as I'd heard good reviews. We had a tea and a coffee and each had a homemade cake. It was all delicious adn well presented. The menu looks interesting for a light bite at a future visit. The cafe itself is spotlessly clean (even the loos) and we had very attentive service from very friendly staff. We sat outside under a dry covered outside area as we're still a bit reticent about Covid. The surrounds are beautiful and we had a great time. We'll be returning for sure.

We were delighted to find this lovely tea shop - a real tucked away place to enjoy and relax. We did not need to see menu as all cakes and scones were displayed ( and covered) and it was easy to decide. We all had cheese scones and appreciated them having been warmed and delicious chutney to enjoy also. The decor is lovely throughout looking warm and inviting - our drinks were served with good appropriate china - we loved the rose coloured spoons right lengths for different cups - the funky teapot was ordered whilst in the tea shop as we loved it so much!! Everything had been so well designed planned and enjoyed - we hope your business continues to thrive.

We stumbled across this cafe today and had such a lovely lunch. It's beautifully done out in pinks and greens, with a slight retro / 50's feel to it. We all had their open sandwiches, which felt refreshingly quirky. We had the salmon, endame bean and wasabi sandwich, the sausage and red cabbage and the beef. This was followed by scones and cream and chocolate cake. It was all freshly made to order and delicious. Service was good and very friendly. We sat inside, but I think there is also a courtyard garden at the back and there's outside seating at the front. Even the loo was beautifully decorated and thoughtfully kitted out. The cafe sits in what I think is the only remaining courtyard in historic Elm Hill, dating back to the 1500's. Go! It was the highlight of our trip to Norwich.

What a delightful little hidden gem, from hustle and bustle of Norwich. Found this sweet little cafe, after where we planned to go was closed, tucked away off historic old Elm hill. Beautiful decorated, no area missed even the toilet care and detail everyone . Good menu choice, al reasonably priced. Friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely be back, next time I’m in this part of Norwich. Can’t recommend it enough.

Jodie’s team looked after us incredibly well at a recent afternoon tea to celebrate a special birthday for my sister. The setting is beautiful and is enhanced by the very attentive service and delicious food. I would definitely recommend it and my thanks to all at the Courtyard Cafe for such a lovely experience. One to remember!

We needed a little sit down after lots of walking about & fancied some tea and cake - had passed this on our way out and as we didn’t find anywhere else that we liked the look of we decided to check back here - so glad we did - sat outside the back in the little courtyard ( nobody else there so very quiet ) and treated ourselves to some glorious blueberry and lemon cake that had been freshly made - drinks were good and the cost was reasonable - it is a little tucked away but please do make the effort - the two ladies serving were very friendly and very much deserve your business.

This wonderful little cafe has recently been completely renovated and upgraded to a very high standard. The food is delicious with a mixture of healthier options and naughty treats and takeaway coffee/hot chocolate too. A perfect location for visiting the interesting and quirky designer shops close by and the historic Cathedral Quarter of Norwich

My sis and I paid a visit to this little cafe during our trip to the city over the Bank Holiday weekend. Very impressed with the service and the delicious delights that were on offer. Lovely staff including the delightful Jess who served us some delicious food including yummy choices of cake with both good quality tea and coffee. Nothing was too much trouble and the venue itself was clean and covid secure.

Top quality (home made?) brownie, hot chocolate and real tea on rainy afternoon. There are some inside tables and the main courtyard is out the back

On a day when everything else in Norwich seemed to be shut (Castle, Cathedral...) this place was a great find. Hidden away, but worth looking for, with excellent tea and cake and very friendly service. Highly recommended.

Had a falafel wrap and like always it is the most amazing falafel in the city! It was very busy due to the closure but it is worth the wait. You can tell they are passionate about what they do and work so hard. Thank you for all the food over the years ❤️ Good luck to your future endeavours

Came here with friends recently for the first time. Staff are very friendly, food and drink taste great and good sized portions, and plenty of great board games on offer. A great experience overall!

Lovely cafe with friendly staff and delicious food and coffee. Seating inside and outside. Breakfast, brunch and lunch with a healthy emphasis and a bit of effort put in to make the dish special. You can also get sausage/bacon rolls and similar if you like. The cakes looked amazing but I was too full up to try one. Really good vegan and gluten-free options.
