What more can I say, large but average Spoons! Does what it says on the Tin!

Had time to kill in Ashford while car being serviced. Passed a couple of hours over breakfast and refillable coffee. Very pleasant atmosphere, good breakfast served at a very reasonable price. Will use again and recommend.

I love this place for food and drinks and respectful on Rememberance Sunday, but I had an unfinished drink removed prematurely... Not impressed 😕 Jon "Angel" Ash

Usual Spoons. Decent grub, great Stella & good prices.

Food was good and service was great. Servers very friendly and helpful. Shame the place looks so dingey and run down. Tables seemed to be crammed in, luckily lots of them were unused. Had a panini and soup really good 😊

The food was very tasty, and there was plenty to eat. The lady who served us could have smiled and spoken, but the gentleman who cleared the plates was very polite and happy. Over all the atmosphere was very pleasant

We love coming here. Food is good, service is exceptional and a good atmosphere. Long standing customer from our 20's and now in our 40's and 50's we have changed our consumer times though 😀

Convenient place for food and drink

We go every Thursday evening and always look forward to it. We love the curries !

Good location, nice selection of ales at the best prices. Service was quick. House was full packed and security was there to handle any situation.

My happy place! Great tables, warm nice stmoshere efficiant friendly staff, nice normal food at good price. Frequently come here for lunches. It never dissapoints.

It's clean with good food and the service was better than most restaurants who cost 5 times as much. For cheap, good food and good service, I doubt it can be beaten.

I ordered a freedom breakfast (£2.99-bargain!) and accompanying coffee. My order was politely taken and the meal was cooked well and it tasted fine.....no problems at all. Thank you.

Wetherspoons, what more can I say

Trish, Nikki and Cody & Sam really stand out to us. We are regulars and these lovely staff members are always hard at work and are non stop. Food is always good also. Thanks guys n gals 😘

Great for a super quick lunch. Good value gor money, clean, food served quickly. Able to order and pay from your table. Recommend the korean fried chicken bowl.

Today I ordered an all day breakfast. The meal was well cooked and tasted fine and the accompanying glass of orange was good too. Nicely presented....thank you.

Always busy, very good ales. New visit and tried the new prawn and fish curry with extra onion bhajis and bombay potato. All was tasty and hot!

Great place for a cheap drink beer is kept well and a good selection to choose from parking is limited for anyone with mobility problems tho

It could do with a good deep clean, and the attitude of the staff could be better, not the best Witherspoons in Kent, but if you want a cheap drink and a snack, it's OK.

Great place. They still have the old Wetherspoon menu. So you can get steak and steak club, curry and curry club. My favourite Simple Chicken Jalfrezi and chips, with pint for £9.15.

We have been here many times and my son, friend always have the mixed grill and they did not enjoy it at all there was a problem with the steak very chewy and dry, my dad came with us on this visit and it was the 1st time he came and even his steak was very chewy and dry, this has never happened before it's a shame, the atmosphere in thetr today was vety loud couldn't talk at all felt like we was constantly shouting, they had the doors open which I understand being a bit warm but a fly came in and landed on my son's dinner and he could finish the rest, I'm very disappointed with today

Went here with my son his friend my husband and mum and dad They all had the large mixed grill and the steak was awful , very dry chewy and loads of fat they have had it before and have never had any issues , my dads 1st time and his steak was the same, the atmosphere was not the best it was very loud and we felt like we was constantly shouting. I had the 10oz gammon and that was very fatty to the food was not very enjoyable today

Always popular, drinks are very reasonably priced, big pub.

It was really busy and when it rained, was packed!! Typical and large Wetherspoons that had a great atmosphere and typical food and drinks values I visit a few spoons and the mocha was one of the best I’ve ever had!! The Katsu curry and steak and kidney pudding with mash was delish!

The food was good and service fast. The pub really needs a renovation though as it’s so dark, dirty and seating areas need repairs.

A quick spot to grab lunch. Food is always good, same no matter where you go. The pub itself was nice and clean. We sat in the booth which was a nice private place to eat. Cheap good food ordered on the app.

Heard on the grapevine spoons now do Ramen, which I just had to try. Not really authentic (I think the red onion would make Japanese people cry) but as always excellent value for money!

Went for breakfast, good choice, good deals, lowest price coffee around, help yourself good choice free drinks. Nice dishes as well as traditional breakfast. Service fast,food well presented. Comfortable seating, nice atmosphere, just people chatting at their tables, not noisy at breakfast time, even though busy. Easy to order on the app. Prices quite good.

A lovely Wethers pub. I was celebrating my daughter's 18th birthday and it was splendid.

Tried the gourmet steak, more like gourmet fat...tasteless and fatty... maybe give this place a miss !

Excellent and cosy town pub in Ashford, of course free of mutts even in the outside seating area. We enjoyed the large fish & chips with a complimentary drink on a Friday. Meals came within a few minutes. Tables were cleaned by attentive staff.

With this restaurant, my friends and I visited to have a quick meal following a birthday party. However, upon arrived and ordering drinks we requested straws via the Wetherspoons App which is common practice. The waitress arrived to the table without so we politely asked if she could bring some to which she abruptly responded "They are at the bar". We responded with "Okay, no worries, thank you". To which, my friend walked up to the bar and overheard the woman talking negatively about us for wanting straws that we requested on the app. It seems the waitress noticed my colleagues face and was embarrassed so she sent her manager to handle delivering the rest of our drinks and meal. In terms of the rest of the service received, we were thoroughly content and grateful to be approached with kindness and consideration from the manager who (btw) is stunning. For the one negative, you get four stars otherwise it would be a five for the standalone service received by the manager.

Shocking Food, I ordered a burger, completely raw and mouldy, workers and staff were rude and not warming at all. Awful, do not go here !

Food lovely, but as per usual the air conditioning is beating cold and everyone in pub wearing their coats, this doesn't give a pleasant eating environment

So discriminatory against age website says under 18 leave at 9 however we got there at 5:30 tried to order and they denied us saying we didn’t have id yet we all did then told us to get Adult supervision then we did and they still refused and some lady then shouted at us horrible service and people!!!

Went for a meal out with my friends and we were all treated horribly by staff, refused to serve us FOOD and NON-ALCOHOLIC drinks because we weren’t with an adult or 18 at 5:30 yet their website states that we can eat and drink there until 9pm, then was shouted at by a member of staff

Cheap, cheerful, always busy, but in a good way

Large area of fruit machines dominate the bar area, even for a wetherspoons this feels lifeless. The table are at the back is laid out in straight rows but feels uncomfortable and not like a restaurant, even for a weathespoons this is bad, one of the worst I've been in. I went about 6pm on a Monday

Curry club Thursday: really busy it was quite difficult to find a table. Prices are higher on the app that advertised on the table. Food is still ok, but no longer such a great deal as it used to be. Staff are helpful and friendly but service is quite slow.

I've been here several times now. Food and drink are always good. Staff are great as well.

Dark, dated, filthy. Table was sticky and the place looks generally tired and in need of a touch up. Breakfast was ok. Coffee came out of the machine luke warm. Service was fine

I ordered a wrap with chicken and chilli and a coffee drink. Order politely taken, food prepared quickly and the meal tasted fine. No problems at all and well done.

As per many of the other reviews, the food was inedible. I had a 'gourmet sirloin' as opposed to the cheaper 'classic sirloin.' Although apparently cooked through, it was chewy, tasteless and I would be reluctant to give it to my dog. The peas were hard and crinkly. the field mushroom was the size of a 50p piece and over cooked. The chips and onion rings were acceptable. Having said that the 3 pints of bitter I had were spot on.

Had the large breakfast, service was good but have had better breakfasts, still a good meal for the price.

I mean, it's a Wetherspoons, so reviews are almost pointless. They're kinda the same. But of course there are some variables... The building. Wetherspoons generally take over places with history. The County Hotel wasnt a historic building like the Spoons in Whitstable or Folkestone or.... But my band played there in the 90s, so there is a connection with the (remodelled) space. And the layout is good. Different zones for different vibes. Another variable is atmosphere. I'm a believer that's something that you bring with you. But if you're going there cold, it's a bit generic. Typical to Spoons the beer is decent and the toilets are a trek upstairs. Listen. Ashford doesn't have many great pubs any more and The County Hotel is definitely in the top 3. Four stars for the memories though. Oh and the food is Spoons. Good value, decent nosh. Don't knock it.

It's not a bad place prices for food n drinks are very good food is clean a nicely prepared they have cut back on portions sizes so if your a big eater it may not fill you up like my husband's been leaving feeling hungry, always busy lots of families and my favourite is the coffee Machine great quality and refillable, waiting time can be a bit slow on busy days but I'd say fir the prices of beers ect it's worth it 😀

Friendly service, plenty of seating and a very good pint. No parking directly outside but paid parking literally a 30 second walk away.

got food here yesterday, ended up getting food poisoning. the lasagna smelt funny and was quite cold

I have been to many weatherspoons in my time and this one has to be the most slowest service out of all the ones I have been to. There seem to be loads of staff members dilly Dalling around talking amongst themselves and not serving customers quick enough. The food is ok though however service needs to be much more efficient for a busy weatherspoons like this. Venue is nice however a bit dark and dingy in some areas. The place would be better if the staff were more assertive.

Spoons is spoons. However, customer service is not great - staff are not friendly and appear to have limited people skills. Food - you get what you pay for and to be honest, in the morning or evening the food is great in relation to price.

Had a lovely lunchtime meal. Well priced which is rare these days. Staff made us feel welcome and looked after. Seems really well run and the manager Tom is lovely. Izzie also was very helpful. Will certainly be back. Only negative is the outside area which is uninspiring and in need a serious bit of work. It would be a big plus as there’s no other pub gardens in the town centre. Would be great if it was done.

Good decent whetherspoons, always come in for breakfast over anything else, it's very nice! Can get a bit lively in the evenings with people looking to cause problems, but generally in the mornings it's quite nice and the food is always well prepared!

I come here a lot as the food is very good and it's cheap. I don't drink so I like to come here in the evening and watch it all unfold in front of me! I come alone and have only been given hassle once and the door staff removed them

It was a lovely warm welcoming establishment, not busy, so it was easy to find seating for such a large group. The waiting staff did not look very presentable, messy hair does. The food was not very hot. The bacon looked like it had been flashed in the pan. The sausage was like leather; just not a good experience food wise, it certainly hasn't made me want to go back there.

I use this place regularly sometimes more than once per day as I go about my everyday business. I like to breakfast there although the female management are rude and on several occasions removed my food before I had finished without asking. After a pleasant day elsewhere I returned last night for an early evening drink and a spot of gambling whereupon after a short but enjoyable and profitable visit was asked to leave for having a mobile phone. In short I find almost all of the regular staff helpful and polite. The "management" are rude. The "security" staff couldn't secure a locked room. Over the course of the day I personally witnessed illegal drug taking, stolen goods being bought and sold, underage drinking and sexual intercourse in the male toilets and am regularly asked if I can obtain illegal drugs for other customers. This I feel is a matter for the Police to look into. My suggestion to you Mr Weatherspoons is to replace your management team at this branch. My custom and considerable wealth will be taken elsewhere until I find out that something has been done about this matter. You have lost a wealthy customer from Weatherspoons Ashford. Such a shame.......
