The Country Crust in Hinckley and Bosworth

A great place to go for lunch! It was our first visit. We had small English breakfast. it was perfectly cooked, the perfect size, and the tea was nice and hot! Very good value for money, service was quick and efficient. We will definitely be going there again!

Love this cafe it's very popular so can be busy. The food is tasty and not over priced. The staff are friendly and the service is prompt.

The staff are all friendly and always remember us when we go in and ask how we are. It is always packed inside, especially around lunchtimes, and so often we have to go elsewhere. Homemade cakes are fantastic, as is all the food and drinks, and it's nice and clean. There's also a really extensive menu considering that it's a small cafe, and the prices are incredibly reasonable. Had a salad and sausage cob today, with drinks, and cakes that we took away. The drinks and food came really quickly and were presented perfectly. Salad was amazing and all homemade with fresh ingredients. This is our cafe of choice if we are in town.

We ate at the Country Crust this lunchtime. It was busy, as expected on a Saturday, but service was prompt and polite and the food arrived quickly. A gorgeous chicken burger, and wonderful liver and bacon. Highly recommended.

We had a hoard of people visiting for a family wedding on Jubilee Saturday. We invited them all for tea on Sunday before flying home. We ordered Afternoon Tea for 15 from The Country Crust and asked for a bit of a Jubilee twist. It was amazing. Coronation chicken wraps, Jubilee cupcakes, beautiful fresh fruit tarts, even a gluten free platter and enough food to send some home with a party bag. Thank you Country Crust, you did us proud.

First time here, sat morning breakfast was the bee’s knee’s. Great service at a gd price 👍🏻👍🏻Large breakfast 🍳 was a lovely plate full.

we always go for our breakfast every Saturday morning. Have always found the owners and staff to be very pleasant. The food is always freshly cooked and a nice hot drink is most welcome.

Just visited and had breakfast. Great friendly service. Freshly prepared and piping hot. Good value and tasty ingredients and decent portions. Definitely recommend and will be back to try other options.

Called into here today for lunch i had the chicken pie (homemade) and the wife had the chilli both superb,hot and lovely waitress then we had a walk round and went back for pudding ......eating here is a must for us when we visit Hinkley

Come here a lot mainly for lunch, the service and staff are great very friendly, the menu is very good and prices very competitive, I had a simple jacket potato and my wife had a bacon batch or cob depending where you come from, both were excellent, followed by a piece of pie ,well worth a visit

My husband is a coeliac and loves the gluten free breakfast here. The staff are so friendly and the prices are good too. Food and cakes are lovely. We often pop in for a bite to eat here.

Now it has to be said the cake that Rose makes freshly every day is excellent. The only issue is there is to many options for one person to try, therefore, you have to keep popping back to try another, I guess there are worse problems to have 🍰

This is a great spot. Delicious home cooked food and amazing cakes! It offers excellent value for money, large portion sizes and a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Definitely recommend a visit.

The Country Crust has just had a makeover with lovely new decor, a bright uplifting atmosphere and a revised and improved menu - but still at great and barely increased prices and with all our old favourites on there. The food is still excellent quality and value and Rose and Charles are always welcoming and accommodating. Not many places have such good homemade food and cakes. We had a couple of the new range of paninis and new teas and then a slice of baked cheesecake with cherry compote - best we have had for ages!

This is a cafe that we have used many times over the years. We went in for lunch prior to taking our youngest to pre-school. The staff were very polite, helpful and welcoming. We ordered and were served relatively quickly. The food was tasty and all plates were cleared, including the one of our 3 year old. The price was very reasonable for the amount you get.It is a small cafe and does have limitations in regards to space and access for those with mobility issues or children in pushchairs

Since Rose and Charles took over in December 2017, the already good quality has got even better. They are very friendly and obliging and are making this the up and coming cafe in Hinckley. We have been going in regularly for a few years and love the food, friendliness and cosiness of the cafe. The food is freshly made to order. The breakfasts, cakes and paninis (especially sweet chilli chicken and bacon, cheese and mushroom - so tasty!) taste delicious. The range of food and drink on offer is very good for a place this size . Rose and Charles are gradually raising the bar without losing the excellent value. We recommend this place highly.

Weakest tea possible, cheapest bread possible and it seems these people have never heard of butter, let alone seen it or used it, wartime marg only me thinks so I would seriously avoid thier outside catering!

Just popped in for a coffee but couldn't resist the homemade cake! Both were terrific and excellent value! Always like to give our custom to local business instead of the national chains! This one is well worth a visit and obviously well used by locals which is always a good sign!

Charles, the owner and chef at the Country Crust, opened on a Sunday for my Dad's birthday. He cooked us a very good roast dinner, which was excellent value for money. The cauliflower cheese was especially good, as was the home-made apple sponge pudding (made by Rose), which was polished off very quickly by all of us. They had also baked my Dad his favourite Coffee and Walnut cake, which we took home (and was delicious by the way). Thank you for a very good meal and for your hospitality.

If you have mobility issues then this is not the place for you as both entrances have steps although one has a handrail. This small clean cafe serves basic food. The breakfast in particular is hot and freshly cooked, bacon sandwiches are good too. The coffee and teas are fine and the service is pleasant. Nothing fancy.

The Country Crust, one of the best places, for food in hinckley, and really the best breakfast for miles around. Always consist, also good quality food.

I've eaten here a few times, everytime I wonder why. The food is average, the place is cramped, nothing special but its ok.

This is in my opinion the best cafe in Hinckley. The full English breakfast is absolutely amazing. Yes there is plenty more on offer, but I just can't stop going on about the Breakfast, honestly, just try it !

Eso es lo que se dice, buena comida a buenos precios y mucha variedad. Siempre están ocupados, que es precioso para ver una pequeña empresa local haciendo bien. Ofrecen especialidades diarias y toda la comida es casera y preparados a la orden por lo que a veces se tarda un poco más, pero merece la pena la espera!

I have breakfasted and lunched many times at the Country Crust since 2002, and have seen a few changes of owner, all of which have provided good food at reasonable prices in a friendly and efficient way.

Called in to what we thought would be a nice little café. We were served a banana milk shake made with powder (didn't think anyone did this anymore), tea was disgusting and the toasties made with tasteless cheese. Very disappointing.

My friends took me here and I have to say I thought I'd stepped back into the fifties. Good old fshion service and home cooked food. Keep up the good work.

The new owners have worked hard to rebuild the reputation of this Castle St Cafe, and have really succeeded and achieved a loyal following. Freshly cooked, everything tastes as it should do - their prices are very reasonable and the service is friendly and prompt. The outside tables are a bonus on a nice day.

My wife and I have visited The Country Crust twice recently, once for breakfast and once for afternoon tea and cake. Both times we were very impressed with the warm and friendly welcome, the quality of the food and the extremely reasonable prices.

Every Friday we have a treat in the shop, instead of a sandwich, I am gluten/wheat free, and they are most helpful. The bacon is the best we haved tasted, and always crispy, just as I ask. Gorgeous.
