Fantastic atmosphere, brilliant and welcoming staff , young lady and lad working the bar serving food , smiles on their faces ; We came in around 430 As soon as we opened the door we had a warm welcome , the young lad showed us to our table , Fast service and very friendly Couldn’t ask for anything better Food came out in such a short period of time , piping hot , and delicious We couldn’t help our selves but to order desert Would definitely come back again Fantastic

I had the salt chilli chicken kebab with piri piri sauce with fries. The food was lovely and hot. Had a email for 30 pr cent off we had a bit of a wait for food but enjoyed it .we had pudding after I had the boneffee chocolate torte with icecream. Drinks a bit pricey but highly recommend and would definitely go again

Fantastic menu and service. The food choice was excellent and all meals that we ordered were delicious. My daughter has coeliac disease and the care taken to ensure that there was no cross contamination was excellent. I highly recommend the Cotton Mill, Newcastle under Lyme.

Rude staff - wouldn’t hurt to crack a smile or use manners (weren’t used once) had a chicken club sandwich and the chicken was disgusting it tasted like cheap shop brought ready made basic & The bacon was still mooing (wasn’t cooked at all looked vile and completely put me off (pic attached) Wouldn’t recommend at all

Rude staff! When I asked for tap water the lady working on shift at the time looked at me as if I was holding her family hostage. Be careful out there, do not order tap water from this place.

I came here with my mum for a late mother's day lunch. We both really enjoyed the experience, staff were really friendly, and food and drinks were good for the price.

My wife and myself called in for a bite to eat, we hwve been a number of times before, my wife chose the rump steak with a baked potato and peas, the potato was microwaved and cold in the centre, the peas were hard, the onion rings were greasy. Ihad the mixed grill with chips and peas, the meat was nice but the chips looked as though they were cooked in old oil. We will not be returning.

Had a lovely Mother’s Day meal with family. Friendly staff and Vicky was especially helpful with us and friendly and nothing was too much hassle for her.

Booked a table here for sat night and it will be the last time i will be going. On arrival we were served by a young man who was only on his second shift and was struggling on the til and no one was there to help him. A few errors were made including 2 different charges for the same drinks. Food came out in reasonable time but not once did anyone come to do check backs and no one came to collect our plates we ended up moving them ourselves where they sat for over an hour. The place was empty and there was no atmosphere at all, we actually felt like we were an inconvenience. Two of our group asked for hot drinks only to be told there was no hot water. The pub was freezing and we sat with our coats on. Food was not that great. Not a good experience at all.

We visited on a Saturday tea time as a family, 3 adults and one child. Two of our party ordered the rump steak. We asked for it medium rare and it came very rare. There was a very small handful of chips and about 2 spoons of peas, unfortunately that was it on the plate. We were told there were no mushrooms or tomatoes left!! We asked if we could have something else to accompany our meal and was told there was nothing available and that was that. A little poor really and 2 of us left feeling rather hungry and dissapointed.

Food average, place absolutely freezing! No check backs at all, cleared our own table , dirty dishes on opposite table there for 2 hours, no interaction from manager with any customers.No tea or coffee available. Dog bowl of water under table . Employees eating and drinking on duty. Won’t be returning

We've been coming to this pub since it opened. The staff are all friendly and happy aways making you feel welcome. We love how we can bring our dogs in 😊. The food is lovely never had any complaints about the food.

A few of us went here for Xmas lunch and the food was lovely, great value for money. I have been a few times now and have always had a good experience. Staff are friendly and helpful and the place is always clean and tidy.

I prebooked a slot for 3 diners. I receive a confirmation text. When we arrived for our evening meal, we were turned away as they couldn't find the booking. The pub was empty when we actually walked in, with no visible tables reserved. Staff member said they were accepting no more 'walk ins' Very disappointed!!!!

Went to the cotton mill with my husband for the festive menu. Had the soup for starter's and a turkey dinner for mains and they tasted amazing, hats of to the chef. We was waited on by Jamie and Angel and both was very friendly and made sure we was okay. Will be returning in the future for sure.

Visited the Cotton Mill today to enjoy the festive menu. The meal was delicious and it was kindly topped off with a complimentary drink from Jamie in lieu of an apology for the delay in our meals. They had two big tables of guests who had arrived together. We didn’t mind, my friend and I were happy to sit catching up. We had a great time all made special by Jamie and the excellent staff who were all friendly and professional. Will definitely be back for another visit soon. Thank you!

WENT ON A FRIDAY LUNCHTIME TO SAMPLE THE FESTIVE MENU. WHEN I TRIED TO ORDER I WAS TOLD THAT THE FESTIVE MENU WAS NOT AVAILABLE FOR WALK-INS ONLY AVAILABLE IF YOU PRE-BOOK 48 HOURS IN ADVANCE. NO WHERE ON THE WEBSITE DOES IT INFORM YOU OF THIS, AS I HAD ALREADY CHECKED BEFORE MY VISIT. THIS PLACE HAS CERTAINLY GONE DOWNBANK IN THE LAST 12 - 18 MONTHS, WITH A BIG DOWN SINCE THE LAST MANAGER LEFT. I HOPED THAT WITH A NEW MANAGER NOW IN PLACE IMPROVEMENTS WOULD HAVE HAPPENED. SADLY THIS ISN'T THE CASE - SUCH A SHAME. THE AREA MANAGER OF MARSTON PUBS NEED TO VISIT AND SORT THESE ISSUES OUT ASAP.
