Been going here for years always consistent good food. They do a small breakfast and have a few specials to add to the main menu we have our favourites. Staff are lovely and helpful very accommodating to customers needs. Child and dog very friendly. Outside seating Has a lovely view across the church yard. Amongst the best cafes in the area.

Brilliant place for breakfast or brunch. Good selection of food. Very well presented and delicious. Service also very good. Easy to see why it was busy. There is plenty of choice in Poulton, but I'm glad I chose the Cornmill.

Tired of shoping in the nearby center, we noticed a cafe full of people, which means something good. Everything was all right. Appetising cafe and pub menu. We ordered a soup of the day (parsnip), my wife continued with haddock and chips and myself with chicken pie. All in excellent quality. The service was outstanding.

This place was recommended to us because of the perfect location but we weren’t expecting such wonderful food and at such good prices! Really made our visit to Llangollen and we were so pleased to have been able to sit in the outdoor restaurant overlooking the river. The service wasn’t as good as it could have been but the staff were polite when we did see them! Highly recommend this welsh gem!

Called in for lunch this week . Food expensive for what we had (only a snack). Pot of Tea £2.10 - that's acceptable no problem but appalled at being charged 30p extra because I asked for Oat Milk and was given a small amount. I know Oat milk is more expensive. Reading some other people's reviews it seems other items are being charged extra for e.g. Hot water to top up the tea pot, a slice of bread etc. It just all seems a bit greedy. One of the cooks came to the table next to us because the people complained about the wait for their food - her response was aggressive and very rude.

The Corn Mill is tucked away behind the church but well worth finding. The place itself is clean and tidy with newspapers and magazines to read. The choice on the menu is extensive with very reasonable prices. Portions are a good size and the food was freshly cooked. Although I did not have one, the cakes looked great. Coffee was excellent. I wish we could have eaten more but we were very full. Staff were friendly and attentive. We will be back!

Wonderful visit to the CornMill for coffees, sandwiches & ice cream for the children. So much choice on the menu it was hard to decide what to choose. I can’t wait to go back and try other things like the homemade pie or full English. My nieces were given colouring to do to keep them occupied which was a lovely touch. Great service, lovely food, friendly staff that go the extra mile.

Love visiting this long established cafe in a beautiful setting overlooking St Chads Church. It’s always clean with plenty of seating as well as outside. We had soup and cheese and onion toasties with a portion of chips. Food was very fresh and very tasty. The salad garnish was also delicious. Pleasant and friendly service topped the visit off well.

Nice scone and the brie & bacon panini was very tasty. It’s a shame the proprietor feels a need to ask 50p extra for hot water. The additional cost will make it an easy decision on principle not to return.

Called in for lunch, which to be fair was only average, However having been served my meal and paid for it, I asked the waitress/owner for a piece of bread and butter, I was told this would cost an extra 60p, when I questioned this the waitress/owner was extremely rude and unprofessional, saying "That's the way the world is and you will find this is the price you will pay in all cafes around here", which is absolutely not true in my opinion. Unfortunately, because of her totally unprofessional attitude my friend and I will not be eating in her establishment again, Not because of the charge for the bread but mostly her awful attitude towards us. In summary this cafe is serving average food, the service is not good and the food is overpriced.

This is an OK place to eat, but nothing special. It feels rather dark inside, and not particularly welcoming. It is cash only, so not the most convenient. Dogs are welcome, so many tables had four legged friends there too.The cafe was quite busy, but there was an impression of it being a place where regulars come, as many people seemed to know eachother. The food was average. There was nothing wrong with it, but didn't inspire me to come back.

Had a lovely lunch here on a sunny afternoon in Poulton-le-Fylde. We sat outside as the view of the churchyard is hard to beat. We had a simple enough lunch...cheese and onion toastie and a bowl of home made soup with a sandwich. The soup was tomato and basil and was delicious. The cheese toastie was served with a side salad and coleslaw. The service was extremely polite and friendly (and quick). Well done Cornmill, enjoyed it a lot.

I have visited the Corn Mill several times over the years and have always found the food to be of a really good standard. The team at the cafe are extremely pleasant to both locals and visitors alike. Today I sampled one of the homemade chocolate cakes and it was absolutely delicious. This cafe is tucked down a shopping alley by the church and has a nice view of the churchyard. There is seating both inside and out. It is fairly basic with a limited menu but if you just want a snack it's fine. The staff are friendly too. The food was hot, none of the food was frozen and was all homemade. The place was clean and the staff were all very friendly and welcoming. This cafe is the best cafe I’ve ever had the pleasure of eating at. Sometimes I come in with my partner, sometimes with my partner and son, sometimes with my mum and other times I go in on own for a takeaway. The staff are one in a million and the food is always gorgeous and home cooked. I would happily eat here every single day if I could! I always have a jacket potato and cheese with a gorgeous salad garnish (which is always diced beautifully!). My little boy loves coming here so much and especially loves the staff, the books and colouring in offer for children and if he’s good, he is always given a lollipop at the end (of course they always quietly ask me if it’s ok first!). I highly recommend the Cornmill if you’re in the area as you will not be disappointed!!

I am surprised this isn't number one in Poulton, excellent value, freshly cooked hot food and always service with a smile.... So many locals can't be wrong, my only complaint is that it is always busy, but that is only because of the value, genuine unfussy well cooked fare, and lovely happy staff. I also had the apple crumble with pouring cream both times i went. Again absolutely gorgeous, one of the best crumbles ive ever had. The second time i went i had the mozzarella and pesto panini, no complaints there either. Just an awesome cafe! The quality of the food here is poor. Home made pies that taste anything but home made with hardly any filling and soft, claggy pastry are one example. Visited with my sister for a Friday lunch. I found the décor a little dated although situated in a quaint location in a lovely part of Poulton. We both had soup, bread, cake and a coffee. My soup "pea & ham" was disappointing. It tasted and looked like a tin of marrowfat peas with the tiniest pieces of ham. The bread was a bland white roll. The chocolate cake was a little dry on the edges but the coffee and walnut cake was lovely. However, the staff were very pleasant and overheard that it was my birthday and gave me a Birthday song and lighted candle in my cake.

Sadly, I had a very negative experience here. After a very long walk I asked whether they served cheesy chips was spoken to and looked at with disdain and told no. When I was searching for the food menu I was informed menus were on the table. This menu had cheese on a number of items including as a topping for Jacket Potato. I explained I understood what I'd been told I just wondered if you could sell me cheese as a side ( most places are accommodating to their customers) I was again told we don't do cheesy chips or comes on top of the potato ( which surely you need to add?!) I said I would go somewhere else and was told you do that. I turned around and told her she had a bad attitude. She made me feel little and humiliated in front of a room of customers. I hope she has a few more people don't bother going in because of her rudeness maybe she'll learn some kindness. The lack of helpfulness fine they don't do it her lack of kindness quite another.

Just outstanding! When this opened, I thought, ‘why does Poulton need another cafe?’. How wrong I was. This is just incredible. Everything I have had from there is absolutely fantastic quality - the toasties are out of this world! The soup is always lovely. The iced coffee are fantastic too. They even made an omelette for my daughter who is 18 months and she loved it. Nothing is too much trouble. In short - top quality food, great service - what more could you want?
