Fantastic history to this bar and very friendly service from Adele 😀

It's a little bit of a hidden secret as both entrances are just off Fenwick Street. Inside are magnificent wooden carved panels around the fireplace. There are very comfortable Chesterfield couches that are very difficult to get out of once you're sitting in them. Nice staff and good beers and ales.

I had a glass of wine and enjoyed the interior of this place, very nice decoration.

Nice pub, been coming here year's, unfortunately the price of Wainwright has shot up, don't come here as much now for that reason

Hidden little classic pub. Really great, with a visit. There's even a really neat beer garden at the rear.

They really look after our Veterans, hosting our Merseyside Veterans Breakfast Club. The staff are brilliant and interact with the costumers in courteous and friendly manner.

For the price great food, friendly staff, very good atmosphere. So nice to find a good old traditional pub, really nice inside. Proper ale too and nice wine. Thanks

Great Pub in Liverpool been open donkeys years. Staff are warm and friendly and nice little beer garden out back for those lazy summer days.

Lovely, sheltered beer 🍺 garden. Friendly staff. Food good if still being served, often query whether the kitchen is still open when ordering food after 2 despite menus still being out, no time advertised as to when it is open until. Don't always have tea available.

The Cornmarket is one I visited specifically for its food. I was on the hunt for a real ale pie. There was nothing to tempt me in the boring Ale selection so I had some cold yellow fizzy foreign lager. The weekday only menu is simple and straightforward, which isn't a downside. The Steak pie, which was both tasty and reasonably priced was a genuine pie, not just a stew with a puff pastry lid. It could have been even better with homemade chips but the fries where OK. The gravy was excellent, and the marrowfat peas were just right. I'm not sure I'd visit if it weren't for the food, but it's worth stopping by for a look. The pub is historical an has an interest in decor and a small beer hand which is a sun trap. The staff were friendly.

Lovely little pub tucked away on a side street. Some interesting wooden panelling and other unusual features in the pub. Sells cask ales as well so the hubby was happy!

Look, alright, picture this. Double sided menus which means you and your mate can just pick that ting up and read it at the same time. No worries. No qualms. No stress. Just pints. Sound. Boss. 10 10. Front and back pictures attached, fiva to who ever can guess which is which.

A particular place. Really enjoyed having a pint there.

Good environment in a traditional pub. Just right behind our aparthotel. Service not the best but who cares when we just want to get a couple of drinks and chill in an old pub.

Lovely atmospheric pub with a good selection of ales. I visited on a Saturday so cannot rate the food as it is only served in the week. Great staff team with friendly efficient service. Would recommend.

Went here with four friends on 30th January afternoon. Oldy wordly pub, old chesterfield furniture. If you like this sort of thing it's great, good atmosphere and bar staff were great. Git a nice send off when we left. Drinks really good, give it a try if your in town

Great pub, a bit of a tardis...looks are very deceiving... much larger inside than expected... Good selection of gins, (unlike a lot of pubs who only stock pink or flavoured) and reasonably priced...would recommend

Have not tried food,it was very quiet definitely needs a make over although people will like the décor.

If you've had enough of pub themed pubs in Town, go to The Cornmarket. If you want wood panels allegedly recovered from The Titanic (definitely nautical), old friends having the same good natured arguments they've had for years, people using it as a starting point for a big night out, this place is for you.

Brilliant night at my husband Russ and Chris retirement party. Staff were amazing, and they worked very hard. Will definitely return for a few drinks. The food was delicious .

Beautiful pub with intricately engraved wood panelling and comfortable leather wing backed Chesterfield armchairs.

Haven't eaten so can't comment on the food but always take the opportunity to stop-off here for a few drinks. It is a little hidden gem of a pub, the atmosphere is just relaxed and comfy.

Very old Liverpool pub, the staff are great and it is always a pleasure to sit and have drink with friends.

Great food and service, recommend the chicken strips. Can't comment on the pie or lasagne as the people I was with wouldn't let me try it 😞 looked lovely though. When I go back it will be with people who share! 😄

Great traditional Pub near Castle St. Loads of space and seating inside, lovely atmosphere. The Beer selection is good and the staff are great, they are great fun as well as providing excellent service (we stopped off there as part of my Birthday drinks and they gave me a free drink and chocolates to help celebrate 🤣👍). If you want a cool and classy old Boozer, with a mix of all types of customers (young and old), this is a 'must visit' 👍

Loved this place for years. Always great for a relaxed drink and has a great little outdoor bit now as well. Very fancy interior as well.

One of the best pubs to start your bar crawl if getting off at James Street station. The pub has a great traditional style that most other places don't offer. Cracking pints too.

The Corn Market is a proper old Liverpool Pub. Great comfy leather chairs and chesterfield sofas. Decor looks like it has not changed since it was built - amazing fireplace. Large outdoor seating area. Just off Fenwick Street set back - there are two entrances and you can walk through from one bar to another. 5 Minutes from top of Cavern Walks and Liverpool One areas.

The Cornmarket Pub is a pub I always look forward to visiting whenever I'm in Liverpool City Centre ,it's a pub that offers great real ale's and fine pub food and you're always made to feel so welcomed here. I love the look of this pub ,it's split into two ,each room has it's own distinct character ,a cool looking serving bar ,wonderful furnishings and decorated tastefully throughout ,big screens to enjoy the sport and lots of seating options both inside and outside in their beer garden ,it's just a great pub to chill out. We were here on a bitterly cold Thursday early afternoon ,we were greeted warmly by the barmaid ,we ordered and were served in pristine condition Marstons Brewery " Wainwrights " ale ,we grabbed a table were we chilled out ,warmed up and planned out the day ahead while sipping our ale's. A big fan of this real ale ,it's such a well balanced pale ale ,lightly hopped with delicate fruity scents ,a citric aroma ensuring a slightly bitter finish that's just so refreshing ,at 4.1%ABV it's such a good session ale,it was just so good being in such a fantastic pub enjoying a great pale ale sat with my twin brother Stephen who is the best beer companion in the world. We really enjoyed our pale ale's in here before we moved on and as on every other visit to here we had a great time. The Cornmarket Pub is easy to locate along Old Ropery. Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday,11.30am till 11.30pm. A great real ale pub ,one I highly recommend you seek out if you're in the area.

I absolutely adore this well kept secret gem of a pub with its warm and friendly atmosphere with incredible service from all the staff as well as its secret terrace beer garden which just adds to its charm 🍻highly recommended 🍻

Fast service on a Saturday evening and a nice pub in general. Also a really great smoking area. They also sell a variety of cigars behind the bar which is a nice touch. The pub itself it’s actually quite large in my opinion, lots of different seating arrangements. The staff was really friendly and helpful so big shout to them.
