Lime Street Central in Liverpool

It is Liverpool central station, all trains arrive here. Very central.

A few good beers on but pretty expensive even for town. miserable staff who were very slow serving led for a poor experience. First visit, and also my last.

We visited last night. Was very busy due to the Liverpool game but the atmosphere was amazing. Food was excellent and the staff were working so hard. 100% recommended

Great bar, great food and good Guinness

Too many Loud drunk , spaced out people , swearing and rude , you have to walk through all the smokers at the entrance to get in ... needs the manager to walk round , one drink and gone !

Food was horrible and absolutely freezing! Really slow service ….. not worth your while going too! Really disappointing! …. There was 6 of us…. All of our meals were cold and late

We’ve visited a few times and always found it to have a great atmosphere, good selection of drinks and very friendly staff. Decided to book our works Christmas drinks here as they offer a room large enough for us. Upon arrival the area was clean, tidy, empty of people and ready for our party of people. The staff on where great, had a laugh with them, they couldn’t to enough for us and made us feel very welcome, really enjoyed the evening as did my work colleagues. Some colleagues have booked the venue for their own events coming up. Thanks very much Sophie and the rest of the team 🏆

The food was really lovely! The cocktails we had too were a very good choice (Cherry Bakewell Cocktails). The festive burger made me feel very in the Christmas spirit and my friends chicken BLT he really enjoyed and the chicken was cooked well. The venue was lovely and it was a really nice visit for my friends birthday treat. All the staff were well mannered and polite. The time of day we chose was 12:30pm for lunch so it was very quiet but still nice.

One of the best places I’ve been in Liverpool. Need a drink after long train and it was on my way walking to my hotel. Friendly staff and good service. Atmosphere awesomely at top notch. Very classy.

Fui a Lime Street Central hace un mes más o menos, me lo pasé genial y así en un viaje reciente al centro de Liverpool no pude resistir visitar Lime Street Central una y otra vez me lo pasé de maravilla aquí. Este bar se ve magnífico , el interior es fantástico, su moderno, vanguardista y muy agradable a la vista , un llamativo bar de servicio, una encantadora decoración y mobiliario ecléctico y un montón de opciones de asientos repartidos por todo este bar, es sólo un bar cálido y acogedor para relajarse. Disfruté de unas cervezas ipa geniales aquí, la selección de cervezas en este bar es de primera categoría, mi hermano gemelo tenía una cerveza pálida y una cerveza estilo lager que le encantó, la cerveza aquí siempre se sirve en condiciones prístinas, el personal de la bodega realmente sabe cómo mantener y servir una buena pinta y el personal aquí es magnífico, hizo que nuestra visita aquí realmente especial, nos encantó nuestra última visita aquí, no puedo esperar a volver cuando vuelva de unas próximas vacaciones de diez días en Tenerife. Lime Street Central es fácil de localizar a lo largo de Lime Street. El horario de apertura es; Lunes a viernes, abierto desde mediodía. Sábado y domingo, abierto a partir de las 10 am. Un gran bar, uno que recomiendo que busques si eres un fanático de la cerveza.

He visitado aquí dos veces recientemente para comer antes de asistir a un concierto. . La comida era excelente. Teníamos los platos pequeños. Esta vez el menú había cambiado a un menú festivo pero la selección era igual de buena. Esta vez tuvimos un postre que de nuevo estaban muy bien presentados y muy buenos. El personal es muy amable y eficiente. Solo mencionaría también que me parece importante que los baños estén muy limpios. Gran ambiente y música no demasiado alta para que pueda charlar. Nuestro nuevo ir a cuando en Liverpool.

We had a table booked last night, when we got there it was very busy and we were told by our server that there could be a 45 mn wait for our food which was disappointing as we thought ,maybe naively, that we would be served a lot sooner. We had tickets to go to the theatre so having to wait for 45 mns for our food was not an option then along came another server Josh who saved the day for us, he again was very apologetic and promised he would get our food out quicker he advised to order on the App but when we tried this the App wasn’t working so he personally took us to the bar and ordered the food for us. As he promised the food came out within 10mns and it was lovely so a massive thank you to Josh for personally sorting everything out for us and also a thank you to the rest of the staff who made our experience very enjoyable especially our first server whose name I didn’t catch but constantly apologised to us for what had happened. We will definitely be going back as the food and service was excellent

Precioso bar cerca de la estación de tren de Lime Street. La comida era preciosa. Tuvimos un muy buen domingo asado. El personal era amable y atento. Preciosa decoración. Vale la pena visitarlo.

We walked back from the stadium to the city center on a windy and inhospitable Sunday after a Liverpool FC game and were delighted to have had a nice end to the day in Lime Street Central. The food was good and the price-performance ratio was also positive. I recommend this location

Came in for a drink and was served by Kate, she's absolutely lovely and gave great recommendations of what to see in Liverpool. Will definitely be back on my next visit to the city!

Although we weren't hungry, so many people were eating that we looked at the menu. There's always a full range of drinks xx

Honestly one of the best places I’ve been to in Liverpool came in today just to kill time before my train and Brooke was the most accommodating blessing I could’ve asked for explained all the drinks and food perfectly and served me in giffy. Will definitely be back soon.

Disgusting smothered chicken. Rock hard round the edges, Obviously been microwaved. Staff Not bothered when complained. He said I’ll tell the chef. No one apologised. Think he was the chef.

The wonderful driver of this train today John, took time to speak with my train loving daughter, I can't say how happy it made her and myself feel after such a stressful day, we came past to see the trains come in & out and John absolutely made our day, with his kind nature, friendliness & professionalism, Thank you so much for your time it meant a lot to us. We wish the world had more people like yourself. Thank you again 🙂

My twin brother and I were pub and bar hopping around this part of the city when we decided to drop into Lime Street Central, been here before on many occasions, always had a good time and so it proved on our latest visit. A really big bar ,interior is superb, modern, light and airy, great decor and furnishings, an eye catching serving bar dominates the main room, big screens to enjoy the sport and plenty of seating options spread throughout this bar, its just a really good bar to unwind in. We got a pale ale each ,these were served in excellent condition ,we chilled out and planned out the day ahead while sipping our pale ale's. My pale ale was really good, a hoppy, well balanced, well crafted pale ale, hints of toffee, a delicious aroma and aftertaste with a smooth finish, a classic British pale ale served in a great bar by staff who really know how to keep and serve a good beer, its hardly surprising that this bar is so popular with beers served in this good a condition. We really enjoyed our pale ale's in here before we moved on and as on every other visit to Lime Street Central we had a great time . Lime Street Central is easy to locate along Lime Street, a street and area teeming with pubs, bars, cafe's and restaurants. Opening hours are; Monday to Friday, open from midday. Saturday & Sunday, open from 10am. Well worth checking out if you're in the area.

We visited this venue after a trip to see a university, on arrival we found a table and got a drink from the bar , we ordered food from the menu off the app , this was a good experience until the food arrived , the club sandwich was two slices of white cheap bread , upon picking it up it fell to pieces revealing rocket salad everywhere , finding and tasting the two strands of bacon that had been clearly refried was an experience in itself , the lumps of chicken were so bad I spent the next ten minutes getting the strands out of my teeth , not good in front of my family . This cost around £7.50 and was just a sandwich that a child would put together , as for it being called a club sandwich it was a clubbed sandwich. Really disappointed with greene king , think somebody needs to get rocket up there backside and sort this out . The staff and venue is the only positive of my visit .

Our friends and I stopped by for lunch, and wow! What a treat! Stu and Courtney gave us excellent service, the wine was delicious, and the steak and ale pie was luscious! What a treat! Don’t miss it!

Nice place ! Not been before. Popped in around lunch time for tea and coffee. They catered for my Vegan friend regards Soya milk ( not many venues do). Lovely atmosphere in there and staff very friendly.

Met family visiting from New Zealand for drinks and lunch. We had a great time. The staff - Brooke and a chap (sorry - didn't get his name) were absolutely brilliant... so welcoming and helpful ... nothing was too much trouble. Food was great. Drinks went down really well! And a great time was had by all! We'll definitely be back!

Definitely a fantastic place to go to as we did today as our normal place to dine was closed so we tried Liverpool lime Street Central and I got to say that the food, service and atmosphere was very pleasant we plan to visit the place again 😁

Never been here before but will definitely go again. Fish and chips lovely and tasty. Service and staff excellent. Would definitely recommend.

Great place to eat and drink relaxed atmosphere friendly staff

Went mid day about 3 weeks ago and everyone's food was either undercooked or over cooked I ordered the fish and chips and the fish was curled up a sign that the oil it was fried in was too hot The pie we ordered was soggy

Came in for a couple of drinks, staff were really friendly. Brown hair lad and girl on the bar were lovely and chatty.

We had a works night out here and it was great, had a side room which was reserved for no cost, loads of seating and music and TV was in the background so you could actually chat to people. Highly recommend.

Shocking reservation system! Got moved 3 times in an hour. Made us feel totally unwelcome. Nice place, good location, nice tasty food but to be moved in the way we did was unacceptable. Shame on you! P.s more mint needed in mojitos.

We came here as we was on a shopping day out in Liverpool and just needed a drink and a seat while we waited a bit for our train departure time. A lot of tables had reserved signs on them so not many to chose from. Sat at 3 different tables for this reason, kept being moved, couldn't really relax. In my opinion far to many tables was reserved and this put alot of customers off, many walking in and back out again. Had some small plates in the end, food was delicious, waitress was very nice. Drinks: never had a mojito with such little mint in it, needed more. Nice and clean toilets. Nice place just need to re think there reservations in my opinion, maybe just stick to the bottom area and allow the top for walk ins. To be moved 3 times makes you feel unwelcome. It happened to alot of people around us aswell.

A great experience in the centre of Liverpool. Food was fantastic (steak & ale pie) which was only beaten by the service levels.

Called in this pub twice late afternoon.rather quiet but a lovely pub offering table service close to main train station great choice of drinks.lilleys cider and great beers.food was very nice.steak pie one day and the fish and chips another.huge portion too and reasonable prices.

we were on a day out to the theatre and wanted somewhere nice to eat so reserved a table at Lime Street Central. When we arrived we could only find one staff member and he was serving at the bar so we waited for him to be free. We asked about our reservation and was told they weren't reserving tables that day so we could sit where we wanted. Although the restaurant looks pretty good there was really any comfortable dining places. We could either sit on high stools, at long benches or in a booth. We chose as a booth as I like to be comfortable however the booth's table was far to large for the seating at it just didn't feel right but by that point we couldn't be bothered moving. We decided to order the steak sandwiches as they sounded delicious. Mustard mayo, crispy onions and 14 day aged steak - yum. We also order 2 portions of fries and 1 portion of thick cut chips along with some coleslaw, gravy , garlic bread and onion rings. It all sound really good but that is not what arrived. The sandwiches arrived - they were 2 slices of white bread, no mayo, no onions but a ton of rocket and on each sandwich were 4 very small slices of steak that did not fill the bread so most mouthfuls consisted of just buttered Bread. The portions of fries/chips which we had paid for (£2.50 each) did not come separate but were already on the plate - all 12 of them so we had in effect paid 20p a chip/fry. That covered half the plate and the other half of the plate was just a pile of rocket (not salad just rocket) The coleslaw has a frozen lump in the middle and the merlot beef dripping gravy which we were looking forward to had a bitter burnt taste to it. Whilst we were there we did notice there only seemed to be 2 members of staff so I am not sure if they were short handed and one of them was having to do the cooking but we were really disappointed. We could have gone to the Wetherspoons across the road and probably got the same quality of food and much more of it for a lot cheaper but we were looking for somewhere nice for our day out. We won't be coming back again and sadly this has put us off visiting any Greene King establishments anywhere else. We have a 3 day trip planned to York and we were going to book at Ye Olde Starre Inn but I don't want our trip marred by a bad meal so we will be looking elsewhere.

My friend and I popped in for lunch before going to the theatre. I chose a chicken blt with salad and seasoned fries. Price very reasonable and staff very friendly. My friend had the Mac and cheese with bacon and chunky chips. We ordered the food on the app and it came in a reasonable time and was delicious. The place had a good atmosphere and was nice and clean. Highly recommend and will return.

First visit but was good, access to table straight away, not a huge selection of food, but enough and was spot on! Service was good.

Had to find platform 1a but got help from train person

Had a food reservation for a table of 6. Initial service was good. Had to order via the app as no server showed up. Starters arrived quickly and we're good. The mains arrived and there was a problem with one of them being over cooked. We tried to get the attention of a girl in glasses but she just kept ignoring us and walking past. Eventually someone else assisted and offered to exchange it for a different meal. That meal arrived quickly and was good. The attitude of the server was not the best and said that the food that was sent back was perfect. It was not. We finished the meal and left. Won't be returning this was my 2nd visit and this time was a total difference to the 1st.

Exceeded expectations! Came in to town for a day and showed up for lunch when they opened. The staff couldn’t have been nicer! The bartender gave me a couple of samples of local brews prior to me finding a new favorite! (Nothing like a knowledgeable bartender to set up a good lunch). The food came quickly and was very good. Both the curry chicken sandwich and chicken BLT did not disappoint, with fresh ingredients and no overpowering flavors. A relaxed casual atmosphere steps from the train, and definitely a pub worth revisiting!

Made a flying visit before the theatre on a Saturday night around 6.30pm. Hadn't been before. What a find! Lovely setting, a mix of people just having early evening drinks, some out for a bite to eat. We ordered 5 small plates from the menu. The food arrived quickly and every dish was just fantastic. Great value for money and a well thought out decor. Highly recommend.

Very nicely restored station and building which uplifts the look and atmosphere of the city.

Had a cheese toasty and house fries and a. Pint of level head. Nice drink but food was absolutely awful. Cheese toasty on thin bread. Tasted like it had been deep fried, with a oily taste on it. Chips were disgusting. Needed to go under the sunlamp, pale and tasteless. Teaspoon of salad. It looked as bad as it tasted. Would go back in for a drink but would never have food there again.

Food was absolutely dire. Ordered and paid for three sandwiches and chips. The two steak sandwiches arrived without the crispy onions on and were lukewarm, as was the cod goujon sandwich. The bread for all of them seemed stale. None of them came with the chips that we ordered. We asked where they were and were told we had to pay separately for them - something we had already done! The manager came and said we hadn’t ordered them. We insisted we had so she went to check the till and came back and said we had in fact ordered and paid for them. Also ordered a salad with chicken which was not honey-glazed and for almost £15 it looked like half of a £1 salad bag from Lidl with some cheap packet chicken thrown on. We were offered the food to be made again or refunded. We took the refund as quite frankly it was disgusting and would not return.

The football view was great and the potato dish was really delicious, but the cinnamon buns were a bit too dry. Overall delicious and friendly staff

One of the most vibrant places to visit on.

Stayed in city centre as visiting for the Aintree race meeting. Decided to eat here as we had popped in for a drink while staying in Holiday Inn just over the road. The staff were so friendly we ordered food which was probably the best we have ever had in a Green King. We shared the Nachos which had the hand made type spiced tortilla chips. The burger was cooked really well and the Hallumi wrap was really tasty all served by a lovely lady whose name I did not catch. Lots of large tables eating so we guess others feel the same with so much choice around confirms how good it is.

The food today was excellent - we were told Will was the chef - can’t complain, incredible food, incredible bloke

Stopped here for a late dinner after coming off of the train. Happened to be the night England was playing Brazil in a friendly. Nice. Atmosphere was pretty rowdy. Had a great sandwich and a couple pints of cask ale. Being so busy, the staff handled it well. Would absolutely return.

Great place for food,beer,sport & music, travelled down from Dumfries for a concert we all went here prior to concert came back Sunday for football,will return.

Thought we would try out this place before heading home. We ordered the flat iron steak, chicken bites and triple cooked chips. Food was lovely though the steak was overcooked (asked for rare/ medium rare got well done) the onion rings that came with the steak also tasted of donuts oddly? Other than this lovely place, great staff, music and decor.
