Staying over at the Docks and needing a good breakfast, Ryde was exactly what was called for. Great breakfasts, tasty coffee, good prices, friendly staff and a cool, bike themed set up. I had the Ryde breakfast comprised off 2 sausages, 2 bacon toast, beans Black puddin, hash Browns and eggs(poached to golden perfection). All for 9.50. Everything on the plate was tasty. Unfortunately I had no cash and the machine wasn't set up for a tip but I'll be back next week and will be giving double. The food and staff are well worth it!

We arrived Friday morning just before a ferry crossing to the Isle of Man with a large group of cyclists raising funds for CRAFT Adventure Farm. Although they had taken orders for 20 plus coffees and snacks the team went out of their way to make two breakfast sandwiches and coffee for Nick and I. Bacon and a veggie both were excellent. Served with a smile, it was a lifesaver. Thank you. We will definitely come back when we are in the Liverpool area.

Popped in towards the end of a bike ride for breakfast. It's a nice looking place set in the old Cains Brewery. There's plenty of indoor parking for bikes so no worries about having to leave bikes outside. The staff were very nice and friendly and even though it was pretty busy, the service was quick. We both had the breakfast which was well cooked and a good portion size. Plenty of other options available on the menu as well. Overall it was a very pleasant experience and the cafe had a nice friendly vibe. Not just cyclists in there either. Quite a few people in there just to enjoy the food by the looks of it.

Firstly I’m not usually a reviewing type of customer, however after my visit this morning, I was compelled to. We always use the car park on Grafton Street to visit RedBrick markets and have walked by Ryde many times and thought it was just a bike shop. This morning we stopped for coffee and toast, my son had sausage on toast. We were greeted with a smile and made to feel very welcome right away. The setting has an industrial feel and is very open and relaxing. My wife suffers with anxiety and can feel overwhelmed extremely easily, however she commented that this was the most relaxed she’s felt having a coffee out. The food was lovely and very quickly prepared. The coffee was hands down the best coffee I’ve had in a long time. Much better than the dish water you get in Costa. We will be back on our next trip over the water. Thank you to all of the guys and gals at Ryde.

Was heading towards this area as we were visiting an arcade near by and needed some breakfast. As visitors to Liverpool we wasn’t sure what was nearby so googled cafes and this gem popped up. I know the clues in the name ‘rude’ but I didn’t even realise they fixed bikes too. The breakfast was spot on and they let my boyfriend adapt his order as he’s a picky eater. The staff were so kind and welcoming. Would recommend anyone to go out there was to visit and get a coffee and soak in the chilled atmosphere :))

Me and 2 friends went in to grab some breakfast. The atmosphere was lovely, the staff were helpful and the food was delicious. There is a kind of cycling theme, and there is some cycling gear available to buy. I had one of the oven-baked meals, with chorizo, black pudding, eggs, beans and cheese. It was really good, very tasty, and a good portion size too. It came with toast and butter too so was a decent breakfast. My friend also really enjoyed the American breakfast waffles. I'd definitely return, I saw loads of things on the menu or ordered by other customers that looked amazing.

Both were delicious as was the coffee we had earlier. It has indoor and outdoor seating and there were several cyclists there taking advantage of this enjoyable place. Called in here for brunch twice, not a traditional fry up breakfast place and apparently no egg choice other than scrambled which seems strange, particularly as they were consistently slightly over cooked (to my taste). Generous but not ridiculous portions, good quality ingredients. Coffee is the star, really good. The seating could be more comfortable but they are pitching at cyclists who are happy to spend hours sitting on a strangely shaped brick.

Coffee was lovely, hot dog with melted cheese was on stale bread and wasn't great especially for the price. Worse quality than a typical hot dog van in a back street. Panini was covered in cooking oil or grease and soggy. The hot dog was a hot meal, but served on a cold plate. We mentioned to young guy, but only about the Panini, and politely, and he just ignored my comments. Hence, why I bothered to write a review. I have been in a few times, building always cold, but so are the other places in Cains. Staff robots and never friendly or welcoming, over several visits. I wouldn't really mind this, if the food was good, and not way over priced for the quality. We learned our lesson, and we won't be back.

Fantastic find - well worth seeking out. Popped in for coffee and lunch as a family of four with an infant. Menu is surprising extensive, reasonably priced and delicious - all sorts of cakes, sandwiches etc. The idea of a bike shop and cafe shared space works really well, the bikes add nice decor without overtaking the sitting areas - the downstairs bit which faces into the brewery courtyard is particularly relaxing. Really lovely, hope to visit again next time we are in Liverpool.

Firstly, apologies but I forgot to take pictures! Secondly, very impressed with the friendly & super polite staff. Dad said the coffee was lovely. We ordered beans on toast, scrambled egg on toast & a tuna melt panini. The toast was super thick which I love! The tuna melt was a bit dry According to my niece. Only annoying thing for me was the toast wasn’t buttered & you were given those little foil wrapped butters (that’s my only gripe). I have eaten breakfast or lunch here on several occasions and have always left looking forward to my next visit. It's a café and a cycle repair shop with a few used built bikes for sale here and there and racks of cycling accessories such as saddles, jerseys, lights, locks and pedals for sale. I have eaten all sorts of food here such as the scrambled eggs on toast, yogurt and fruit, avocado and eggs and sausage and toast. The prices are moderate so it's not a cheap eats place but it's certainly not expensive either and if you cycle here after being out on the bike for an hour it's a wonderful experience to sit down with a cappuccino and a warm breakfast or lunch in a friendly atmosphere with cheerful staff. I recommend going there and enjoying a coffee with any of their mains. Yummers!

The service and friendliness of this place is amazing. And I met Jarvis Cocker. Thanks to Ian, one of the owners. He fixed my puncture in a time Roy Castle would be impressed with. Cycle-tastic.

recommended to call in to this lovely café, having visited the Liverpool Biennial exhibition next door. Friendly service, newspapers and a relaxed change from the twee city centre establishments. It's a great cyclists café too, though this should not put off non-cycling visitors. this business deserves to succeed.

Enjoyed 2 great sandwiches here. I would particularly recommend the meatball with BBQ sauce. Good coffee. Small but high quality selection of bike kit.

I popped in here to have a quick coffee and business meeting with one other person. The staff were friendly and the order taken and served quickly and courteously. The drinks were hot and reasonably priced. As a non-cyclist I cannot comment on the cycling aspects of the venue but the decor was great and had a lovely atmosphere. Nice area to sit outside too. I hope this establishment goes from strength to strength.

Ryde is situated on the ground floor of the old Cains Brewery (formerly Higsons) and incorporates a bicycle shop. The decor harmonises with the open plan industrial area of this part of the building, which feels as though it is where generations of brewery trucks loaded beer and unloaded barrels. The cafe area is themed with oversized sackcloth cushions and functional furnishings and staffed by hip guys who present you with super sized and stylish mugs of the best coffee around. The bread used in my sandwich was top quality and there are newspapers provided. Definitely a place to hang out in on a Sunday morning, or any morning for that matter.

We visited as a group of 3 on a busy lunchtime, we were lucky to get a table as it was so busy. It had a great buzz and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was exceptional- very tasty and lovely sized portions. I’d definitely love to come back next time I’m in Liverpool.

The one thing about Liverpool City Centre is there are many interesting old pub's and the Cornmarket is one of the oldest and it's one of the best.Located on Old Ropery'the Cornmarket has a fantastic interior with an old world look and feel. The pub dates from the 18th century and is full of character. The interior to this historic pub has many interesting fixture's and lot's of original feature's.There's wood panelling that was taken from a clipper ship that was called the Reina Del Pacifico and excellent seating options. If you enter from Moor street this pub looks completely different as up to the 1960s this was the Bulls Head pub. This pub was taken over by the Cornmarket and has thrived as a pub since then.We have been visiting this pub for many years and it's just as good as it's ever been. We went to here early in the afternoon and it was very busy which is how we like places as the atmosphere is better when pubs are busy. When we visited we had a few glasses of Carling brewery lagers which where first rate and were reasonably priced. Its an excellent old world pub in a fantastic area of the city centre and it's a pub that's well worth going to.(This is my fourth review of the Cornmarket). Opening Hours. Monday-Sunday-11.30-23.00. Public Transport. Bus Stop. James Street Train Station Bus Stop-10A-10Q-18-26-N1. Train Station. James Street Train Station.

Nice cup of coffee thanks! Greeted by Holly who was chatty and took my order with advice when asked for (type of milk used, how many shots). Not a regular at Starbucks but would return. Holly wished me a happy holiday too! This after the the smoothest transit trough the airport ever. Lots to like today at Liverpool JL airport.

Lovely surroundings, comfy sofas, very tasty local gins, and a tasting plate of 3 small beers. Perfect, couldn't wish for better.
