The Cornish bakery in Canterbury

We went into this bakery today ,whilst looking at the food we noticed tiny flies all over the rolls and pies.I called the staff over and told her about the flies and pointed them out to her she totally ignored me and went on serving. We stood about for a while to see if they removed this food nothing was done . We will Never eat here again it needs a hygiene check.

Love this place to bits, it is always welcoming and inviting. I enjoy my regular coffee with a such a viraty of croissants and pastries to choose from and to enjoy. Definitely recommend it

We bought tea and coffee and ate one of their egg custard tarts ( Portuguese tarts I think) and a scone with Cornish clotted cream, at the tables outside this lovely bakery shop on the 1st day, having arrived in Canterbury in the afternoon. The food and the service were so good we went back the following morning for the same. On the day after, on leaving the Cathedral after our visit there in the afternoon, we couldn’t resist going back again to sample the delights of their pastries and savoury pasties, again having ample helpings of tea & milk to revive us for our long drive home to Guildford, from Canterbury. Sophie was so good to us and kept my wife and I topped up with everything we needed. Definitely recommend this shop to everyone visiting the Cathedral.

Finally the summer has arrived and it is possible to enjoy the Canterbury in its full beauty and obviously we couldn't miss a place we enjoyed so much the last time we've been here. Absolutely gorgeous veggie pie and so refreshing strawberry lemonade, our coffee was as good as we could remembered it.

Enjoying the walk around the city on a sunny day with a freshly made coffee and delicious croissant purchased from your lovely place. It wasnt the first time I came over, but it keeps pleasantly surprise me every time I have an opportunity to get to you. Always smiling and attentive team, good atmosphere and tasty coofees and food makes me want to come more and more often 😊 😊

Well baked pastries with good fresh coffee was served by friendly staff. We’ve now visited several times and it always good.

It is always nice to come back to the places which you previously enjoyed so much 😊 we had a really warm welcome, quick service. Our fruit scones were to die for together with always tasty coffee definitely made us want to come more often 😊

Lovely pastries, especially the cherry almond croissant, rich flavoured coffee, excellent barista with amazing artistic talent!

Tasty coffee and sausage rolls, really enjoyed my lunch over here. Clean and tidy, with very friendly welcoming. Definitely will be back

Nice selection of pastries and cakes The only sad drawback for me was the no cash system in place 😔 Sadly, I will not return due to this

Me and my friends love the Cornish bakery! It’s our spot to come and chat, revise or just get a delicious coffee. The staff are absolutely excellent - especially Muskan! She is always cheery and up for a chat and makes the best coffees 💖

Really enjoyed my coffee here, it had lots of flavour and was just right temperature for me not too hot or cold, just absolutely perfect. Had it with the sausage roll - was very tasty. Can't fault it

Coffee and pastry was very nice indeed. Service was friendly and welcoming. I would have given it 5 stars however, the store doesn't accept cash?

Sausage roll was lovely but they need to up their game with the coffee. Luke warm and very small, five mouthfuls and it’s gone. Why isn’t there a choice of cup size?? Doubt we’ll visit again, only a short walk away is Nero who offer a huge latte in a bigger cup for the same money, and it’s hot enough to enjoy!

My first visit to the newly opened Cornish bakery, service was appalling, there was not enough staff and a long queue,I ordered and paid , then had to wait a while for my drinks and food to be ready. There were dirty plates, cups and cutlery left on tables, to top it all I found a long human hair in my cheese and tomato twist, which I complained about and was refunded for that food item, but I will not be going back there again.

Went here for bite to eat. Both Had a coffee and pastie. Both were amazing. Very friendly staff and brilliant service. Will ge visiting again!!

Never been one for writing reviews, but wanted to take the time to highlight this lovely lady who works at your Bakery. Casey was absolutely outstanding today, she was smiling and so efficient even though you could notice the busyness and the pressure on the staff. She was extremely attentive to a disabled lazy who required help to her table, and was running around making sure everyone's visits was as good as it could be. Absolutely fantastic, I will be back! Oh and on top of that, she made me a beautiful coffee. Thanks Casey, you're a huge asset to your company!

Came here with some work colleagues and so glad we did! Such a lovely bakery with plenty of comfy seating. A delightful array of pastries and sweet treats to tantalise the tastebuds too. Staff were welcoming and very accommodating when I was looking for toasties without cheese. Don’t worry, there was still plenty on offer for fromage fans as well!

Delicious bacon croissant , coffee and fruit Danish. Thank you to Chloe, Stacey and Sean! We will be back.

Really impressed. Had a coffee and a pasty (steak and Stilton), both top notch. Really good coffee. It makes a change for somewhere in Canterbury to be nice and bright inside! Will definitely go back
