Corn8sh Bakery; Bude despite being part of a chain always gives personal service. Their friendly helpful staff are always welcoming despite being very busy with holidaymakers who are not always kind. The pastries are consistently good and the overnight oats worth a trip even if you live locally.

Just wanted to leave a quirk review for the staff at The Cornish Pastry in Bude.All the staff were very attentive and friendly.The 'veggie' Cornish Pasty's were excellent too!

After walking around Bude in the hope of finding the perfect Pasty, i came across this lovely little gem. Not knowing exactly what i wanted, i asked Emma and she kindly tendered to my needs and suggested the Vegan Pasty. OMG, this was an amazing Pasty. I will definitely be spreading the news in Yorkshire. Brilliant Staff and beautiful food.

To the management team at The Cornish Bakery, Bude; I would like to take this opportunity to say how impressed I am with the way you and your staff have been dealing with the recent increased volume of idiotic, arrogant and just rude holiday makers that have arrived in our gorgeous little town and end up in your fabulous Bakery. The recent wet weather combined the government COVID rules make it a mine field for both trading businesses and customers alike and it seems to me that the majority of locals with a minority of visitors understand this and try to adhere as best they can. However, there is currently (over the last few weeks) a majority of ‘holiday makers’ who seem to have forgotten about the rules and the fact they are still in the UK and act as if they are in the likes of ‘Benidorm’ by being god awfully rude and arrogant towards staff members and locals if challenged about their behaviour! This was apparent of Friday 21st May when your staff were dealing with an ongoing incident outside combined with wet weather and the hoards of idiotic visitors trying to break the rules and queue in bunches! Your staff who were on that afternoon were brilliant whilst trying to juggle all of this as well as running the cafe and takeaway service. I was sat in the cafe observing all that was unfolding during the incident outside that resulted in the Emergency services being called and quite frankly I was appalled to hear a few visitor customers whining about the service! This is totally disgusting and makes me pray for government guidelines to be relaxed so these idiots can disappear to their usual trips abroad and leave our stunning Cornish towns alone! Oh, and to quote Peter D “a monsoon outside”……. Obviously an up country bloke, as the weather on Friday was nothing more than a Cornish Squall with a bit of great Kernow Mizzle! My final words to you all at The Cornish Bakery, your gorgeous food combined with your excellent customer service makes it such a nice place to visit.

It was very disappointing. I tried to order two meal deals plus a sausage roll but unfortunately the staff member was unable to process that request and charged me full price for all the items. She was curt and short with me and other customers trying to get out of the storm outside. She was preoccupied with an incident outside at the expense of the customers. It would have not been as bad if the food was tasteless and did not represent any form of value. I did consider challenging her at the time but I was so cross about it I decided against it. I came to the conclusion that if she was unable to process a simple order then she would unlikely be able to understand my complaint. I was not the only customer put out by her behaviour, the elderly couple behind me were most upset at her direction to leave to shop and go into the rain just in case someone left. No one was leaving, it was a monsoon outside!

Amazing scones and coffee! This is a lovely cafe. Staff were very welcoming and friendly and brilliant with the kids. Really nice place!

After being blown around the Bude on a very blustery day we stumbled upon the cornish bakery and popped in for a coffee which was the best weve had all week, lots of nice cakes and pasties on offer but sadly we had already eaten so will catch them next time.

Was served by Emma on my visit and have to say she was amazing! Had such a friendly smile and was very patient when I’m taking ages trying to decide which of the many lush flavoured pasty’s to choose from! Makes a great coffee too, and even catered for my dairy intolerance. This is my new favourite place to go when on holiday in Bude... thanks Emma!

Very friendly staff, Izzy and Audrey on duty, absolutely spotless loo- noticeably different to so many , light and tasty scones with cream and jam and ear grey tea. Well done !

We had the best Cornish pasties here at lunchtime. Lots of filling and really tasty. Staff and service were very good too. Worth the short queuing time!

Went in for a packet of crisps to keep my toddler happy and came out with the most delicious Cornish pasty and about 4 other items which tasted as good as they looked, if in Bude you’d be missing out not trying this place!

Found this little gem by accident, it was their pastel de nata and coffee deal that did it, both excellent (having returned from 5 months in Portugal, felt we were in a good position to judge the natas) served by happy, friendly staff, what more could you want?

Firstly, the staff here are so friendly and helpful that I would re-visit just for that reason.Then, the quality of their croissants is so amazing that they should be prosecuted for not telling us all just how good they are!The French know how to make croissant; the British generally don't but, The Cornish Bakery are getting so close.....

One of the nicest pasties I have ever tasted. The scones were delicious too. The bakery was spotlessly clean and the COVID precautions were faultless. The staff were polite and very helpful. The emergency services discount was gratefully received. Thank You.

Oh my goodness, I love this place ❤️. They are so welcoming, friendly and efficient and their vegan cauliflower bhaji pasties are packed full of flavour. Whenever I’m in town I’ll pick up a box of 10 frozen ones so I’ve got them ready to cook in the oven at home for a super tasty meal. Highly recommend to vegans and non vegans alike!

Love this bakery both Emma and Audrey are a breath of fresh air love my twice weekly treat of coffee & one of their amazing treats. They are both so friendly and helpful. As life happens but coffee helps, a mug I got for my mum, God bless her soul. The Welsh rabbit is to die for if you have a savoury tooth.

Every time we visit Bude we always go to the Cornish Bakery. The sausage rolls and pasties are amazing and we always treat ourselves with a brownie or scone. The pastries are also a great way to start the day. Audrey and her team are super helpful.

It was the third place in Bude I tried for a pasty. The previous two had run out. Well, lucky me because the pasties were absolutely fantastic. Fresh out of the oven too. We had coffee and the kids had hot chocolate. All went down very well. Whilst I was in there the first time, the Cornish rarebit caught my eye. That was incredible. My youngest absolutely loved it even though she "doesn't like" two of the integral elements - spinach and mushrooms.I visited for a second time, which was about 15 minutes after the first time... I had to get a second slice of the rarebit and also a 1kg bag of the coffee beans to go. Audrey and Izzy provided a warm welcome and excellent service. I know where my go-to is now!

Just popped in for a quick coffee and decided to treat my self to a white chocolate and raspberry muffin... what can I say! Wow... absolutely lovely.... soft, light, airy and soooooo tasty. This combined with really friendly and professional staff made my visit more than worth while.

Bude’s Cornish Bakery is right in the middle of the town centre and so perfect for stopping in to have a light lunch or coffee and pastries. The window display always looks tempting and everything my family and I have had here has been fresh and yummy. Coffee and hot chocolates get thumbs up too. Staff are very friendly and we like the window seat for watching the world go by.

The staff in here are wonderful. The coffee and hot chocolate is great too. You can take your own cups and, more importantly, your dog into the cafe. They are very good at reminding you to sanitise and wear a mask and all transactions are contactless. They will even sell you a mask, if you forget yours, for cost price. They give 25% discount to NHS/ emergency service staff if you take your id. What’s not to like?

Even though we’re in lockdown again the very friendly staff at the Cornish Bakery are still keeping our spirits up. Lovely pasties and cakes

I had a delicious falafal brioche roll a few days ago at The Cornish Bakery in Bude. It was so delicious! The staff were incredibly friendly and I would will be going back next time I am in Bude :)

Great place to stop for a break. Always friendly, good coffee and fantastic cakes. Today my husband tried the new Thai chicken soup - he really liked it so it must be good!! I settled on the sausage roll which I know are always good. You must try the Xmas scones they are lush, I’ve put some in freezer for Xmas and I’m told to put marmalade and clotted cream on them.

Great service at this Bude coffee and cake venue from Debbie; good to support local businesses especially during Covid. Good social distancing measures in place, delicious scones!

I’ve bought pasties from The Cornish Bakery many times - in Bude, Padstow and Tintagel, and the service is always very friendly and the pasties are fabulous. If you want a recommendation, go for the Vegan Spicy Cauliflower - I’m not vegan, I’m not even vegetarian, but these Vegan pasties are the best pasties out there - and believe me, I’ve eaten a fair fee pasties - the pastry has a unique flavour and is delicious and the filling is TrueType fabulous. You won’t be disappointed.

Their freshly made pasties are delicious and the pastry is perfect. I am new to the area and I’ve become a very happy regular. They also serve a variety of lovely savoury and sweet snacks and pastries. Service always with a chat and a smile. 10/10. ( would highly recommend the bread pudding )

What a place! Amazing pasty shop with excellent service. It is located amongst quite a few other shops/bakeries offering hot food and pastries.... However, being a seasoned pasty consumer, I have got to say that honestly the meat pasties are gorgeous....... Well that was my view until I tried the new Vegan pasty...... OMG!! Wow! It is amazing, in fact so much so that I took one back to work with me for a mate, who normally would laugh me out the door if I said words like vegetarian or vegan..... He instantly lapped the pasty up and is now converted... so much so that the majority of the guys I work with want the vegan pasty (as well as the meat pasty...lol).Overall I really can’t fault the place, lovely people, great service, very clean establishment and out of this world pasties!

When in Cornwall a pasty is a must so decided to sit in and enjoy one. Not overly expensive but they are cheaper to take out than eat in. Plenty of different pasty choices to choose from so you will be spoilt for choice if you love pasties. Felt safe eating in they had all covid measures in place.

We tried the pasties here , very tasty, great choice of fillings and perfect pastry. Liked them so much we came back and bought a box to bring home!

Vast experience of the pain au chocolat and tall whites. Consistently the best im Bude - better than the EB too btw. Coffee top notch too. The best part though is the daily warm conversation. I may have to stop the pain au choc, possibly the coffee too, but I can’t do without the humour and warmth of the staff. No names, you all know who you are. See you Monday (again).

Called in today to buy a couple of this bakery's delicious tarts. Tarts as lovely as usual but service was offhand and unfriendly. We're local and I can't believe this is the kind of welcome being offered to visitors. Very disappointing.

I went into the Cornish bakery, I ordered a fruit cream tea and a latte, I was welcomed with a smile from Lucy and Debbie,the latte had a nice heart on it made by Izzy and the scone was delicious. There is a good COVID system in place and I felt very safe, would recommend a visit.

Live local to the area and am slowly working my way around the towns cafes whilst on maternity leave. Thought we would try out the Cornish bakery for a change. We received a warm welcome on entry, obviously abiding by gov guidelines we gave our track and trace info, which is promptly requested. It’s great to see somewhere taking it seriously as it makes me feel more comfortable going out and if I feel ‘safe’ there, I am very much more likely to return!Down to the actual reason we visited!Had a vanilla latte, great flavour and presented nicely! Freshly baked scones served with jam and cream. JAM FIRST the only way to prepare and fully enjoy the Cornish cream tea! Restaurant area was clean and tidy. Tables promptly cleared and cleaned properly. Toilets were spotless! (Frequent visitor to those nowadays)Staff! Well me and my little one received warm welcomes, think their names were Lucy and Debbie that were there that day! Sorry if I’m wrong! Gunna go with baby brain there!!! They were very accommodating and helpful, sat me somewhere nice and quiet with enough space for a pram. Kept checking in on us in case we needed anything else. Nice and chatty, I felt nice and relaxed there which in these current times is hard to find when out and about!!!

Popped in during lunch hour, to get a quick bite. Very quiet so very easy to order. We were unsure if we could eat in as the tables were all pushed back towards the bench seats. Sadly the lady serving was extremely standoffish and was in no way welcoming. She was serving us and I had look at the drinks cabinet as you can't see what they have when you order without side stepping to look, rather than just waiting a second to finish serving us, she decided to start moving the warm products about whilst we waited. You just felt unwanted.The two pasties we ordered were very nice, no complaints there, but you were given a knife, no fork, which was fine for my Wife, but as mine was so full I could of done with a fork to clear up. Yes I could of asked for one, but isn't the whole point at the moment to try and stay seated?Appreciate it's hard work for the industry at the moment, but when you get up to leave and you have the coffee lady, the manager and the lady that served us all stood together and you say 'thank you' and they don't even reply, doesn't make you want to come back.

Called in this afternoon to get out of the rain and having read the great reviews. I can only assume we must have hit an off patch. My husband's brownie was delicious but my carrot cake was quite dry. Most of the staff were friendly but it was not the relaxing experience I'd hoped for. It seemed quite disorganised, the staff were flapping and it wasn't even busy. It must be very difficult for staff adapting to different procedures in these very testing times, so I would go and try it again - maybe a scone next time?

I visited bude at the end of august with my two boys, we had a lovely day on the beach and then visited budes town, we popped in for a coffee and a pasty, the welcoming was warm and well organised in very hard times due to the covid regulations, the coffee was lovely and the pasties amazing, the manager of the shop was particularly welcoming and chatted to us about our visit, will definately re visit when we are back next year

Best pasty I tried in Bude. Well balanced ingredients and nicely seasoned. Not sure what else I can add. The shop is well run and follows all the Covid 19 rules.

A lovely little bakery with really nice food, the pasties and cakes are superb and despite covid restrictions we were able to be seated on our five or six visits during our 2 week holiday. The staff are really polite, friendly and welcoming (although the older blonde lady with glasses could learn from all the younger staff about smiling and being happy), and with all the stress of dealing with some of the more ignorant people taking up the covid 50% offer they continued to be really calm and welcoming. I would really reccomend this great little bakery.

I popped in here to grab a scone and cream to takeaway. Once I tasted the scones I put an order in for 10 to be collected and explained to the lovely staff that I was taking them back to London. I collected them 2 hours later and they were boxed in a thermal box which was really strong for transportation. The staff were amazing and though I forgot her name, she went above and beyond in my eyes. I also had a traditional Cornish Pasty and a steak and stilton pasty. Delicious. Highly recommended this bakery and they also do a delivery service too.

Arrived in Bude after a long walk and struggling to find a good cafe that had space, we happened upon The Cornish Bakery and were surprised at how good it was. Excellent coffee and Cornish puddings! Just what we needed.

Went for a sit down meal but woman behind till did it all as a take out. Service by woman behind till as a whole very rude. After taking money for hot drinks was trying to get us out even though drinks hadn't been done. I think even the other staff member was taken by the behaviour.Suggest staff should ask first whether sit in or takeaway wanted.Food was good but will look elsewhere in future. Had great service from other cornish bakery before including this one.

As we know August in Bude is extremely busy so I don’t expect to be treated like royalty!!...nor do I need to know the ins and outs of a pasties life!!The pasties are as good as anybody’s and the service was exemplary!!!A nice smile,a nice conversation about Bude and the weather more than I would expect for such a busy period and in difficult times.I engaged the manager in conversation about the super coffee and found her very interesting and engaging..only to happy to help !!...Keep up the amazing work and sublime service!!!!!

popped in to this little bakery to taste one of Cornwall finest pasties. Was met by a miserable faced manager or member of staff who couldnt be botheted to raise a welcoming smile. No eye contact during service she looked towards the back wall as if we we were insignificant mist of the time. I enquired if the pasties were actually made and baked in Bude. She said" well we bake them here yes!" Then looked away disgusted I'd asked. As she wasnt willing to offer anymore info on the matter I can only presume the pasties are made elsewhere but warmed in the Cornish Bakery. The pasty it's self was nice but pretty average.I dare say I've eaten similar pasties in other parts of the UK. Shame about the service - perhaps she objects to tourists

Only 2 allowed in shop at a time but good choice of pastries & cakes. We purchased some sausage rolls, pasties & cream teas to take home with us. Very friendly.

Thank you to Aud, Lilli, Izzy and Deb who even while managing the new hygiene routines required by the Covid situation took time to talk to my sister and I. They were funny, kind and helpful.....oh and the Cornish pudding is amazing!

How wonderful to be back sitting in this little cafe again. The decaf coffee was delicious as always and the tasty pastries as light as a feather. There is minimum seating now, but you can always get a takeaway. Plenty of new Covid-19 measures in place, so no need to worry. Thanks to the team for getting The Cornish Bakery up and running during these crazy times.

Visited here today as we were running errands. All the spread of pasties were beautifully presented and clearly labelled. The lady at the till was very friendly and passionate which was refreshing. The pastries taste amazing and very filling. Will definitely be back! :)

So great to see The Cornish Bakery open in Bude again, albeit for takeaway only. Very impressed under the current challenging circumstances how things are set up to cope. Dropped in for a coffee and pain au raison - both were pretty much the best we've ever had. Also sampled the sausage rolls and carrot cake which, again, were fresh and tasty. The service was warm and friendly - will definitely pop in again tomorrow before we return home. Thank you Audrey and team.

Arrived after lunch for a snack and shared an original cornish pasty with my wife. The service was excellent and friendly, especially Sarah. The pasty was very taisty and filling and the coffee very good. I also had a custard tart which was better than I have had in Portugal! The place was clean and tidy. Highly recommended.

Lovely and clean, nice food and great coffee. I had a warm sausage roll, could have eaten 2!! Mulch better than the Costa next door
