Después de ser decepcionados por otro establecimiento del centro de la ciudad, nos dirigimos a The Corner House. A pesar de que era un jueves muy ocupado por la noche nos dieron una cálida bienvenida y fueron capaces de acomodar a los cuatro de nosotros. La carta es variada y apta para todos los gustos. ¡Tenía la "hamburguesa desordenada" que era muy buena! El servicio fue inmediato, el personal era todo eficiente y amable. También soy muy exigente con mis cervezas y había una buena elección de cervezas para elegir. Sin duda lo recomendaría aquí y volveremos pronto. (Boleto de la rifa número 227)

Absolutely amazing every single time! The seafood linguine is such a hit and I still had enough room for the chocolate bomb afterwards! Atmosphere is 10/10, I couldn’t recommend it more for any occasion you have

I visited Corner House on Tuesday 11th February 2025 for dinner with friends before a concert. The food and ambience was amazing but the waitress serving us was rude and not friendly at all. I’m suffering with Gastritis, so I needed a few ingredients to be removed from my sea bass dish. The waitress had a terrible attitude and she made me and my friends feel very uncomfortable. I don’t know why people like her work in the hospitality industry. Can’t fault the food it was gorgeous, but the older waitress who served us was awful. We didn’t leave a tip for this reason. Sorry Corner House, you need to employ friendly staff.

Wow! What a fantastic evening! The customer service was exceptional. Craig was the nicest, friendliest guy and the food was very tasty. I really recommend a visit here and we will definitely be back! Thanks again for exceptional service :o)

I don’t normally write reviews but I had to write this one. We had a cracking night, great food, good comparing and Craig!! Craig at The Corner House, was a treat! He was welcoming, attentive, and v. funny. He goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable, making sure your food is up to scratch and everything is running smoothly, his manager clearly loves him (as we wanted to pay our compliments) and it’s clear he is incredibly loyal to the place… get that Premiere Country Club App! Lol The food on our rare night out together was delicious and Craig was in tune with getting everything just right. Honestly, if there’s one thing he deserves, it’s a well-earned paid week off off – he worked tirelessly to make our visit feel special. The Corner House is lucky to have him!

I don't usually do reviews but just wanted to let people know what an amazing night we had at the Corner House pub and restaurant in Cardiff, our waiter was Craig and he was absolutely brilliant and so attentive and couldn't do enough for us. The food was amazing and we loved the ambiance. I would definitely recommend this place.

Booked for a birthday lunch with my mum (as we do every year for at least the last 5 years). Maybe after two previous visits that had issues, I may have known better but we gave it another go. Ignored by staff when we arrived, when shown to our table, we were told that the sea bass, the risotto and the lamb were off. The first two are the ones we planned to order, the rest of the menu is heavy on gluten - things with gravy, pasta and things in batter. we had to leave and go elsewhere on a busy Christmas shopping day, luckily we got the last table in Cote Brasserie a few doors down which was amazing and had every single item advertised. The reason given was that due to the storms there were a lot of food items missing, a few years ago it is was because of Covid. Last year they tried to make us have a set menu even though it was before the cut off date where they served only this menu. I will not be returning here.

Visited on a rare baby free date night last Saturday, we haven’t been to the corner house in ages but wandered in. It was lovely and festive and although we hadn’t booked, the team were really accommodating. We went to order some drinks at the bar whilst a table was being sorted and were served by Sophie. She was really helpful and professional, giving me good wine suggestions as I hadn’t been out in so long! The food was delicious and the atmosphere, can’t wait to come back. Will be booking for my mums 60th.

called in for lunch with my wife and our little dog whilst doing some Christmas shopping and ended up eating off the wine and dine deal menu .which was fabulous , part of the deal was a bottle of wine of your choice normally the wines are sort of ok , but this place had some really quality white ,sparkly and really nice reds starter choices was really good and when they came to the table was equally as nice , mains we had 10once ribeye steaks which were cooked exacted how we requested and tasted fabulous , even little pebbles enjoyed hers , then when we came to desert both myself and my wife had really eaten enough as portions was quite generous , so waiter said would you like a cocktail in place of the desert , so we had 2 porn star martinis in place of our deserts, which was very unexpected , the cocktails were also really lovely . so what started out just popping in for lunch , ended up with us spending about 2 lovely hours in a pleasant restaurant eating really lovely food , drinkers excellent wine and cocktails and being waited on by very good staff . Thank you all at the corner house for a lovely lunch , we will be definitely be returning soon to try something different off the same menu .

Booked because we have been in for drinks a few times and wanted somewhere nice for Sunday roast The service was terrible the place was not busy but waited over half an hour for food which was brought to us we were given no cutlery had to go and ask and a member of staff went off to go and get some food had been sat at the table almost 10 minutes by the time we got cutlery. We asked for mint sauce and got a small plastic pot. The menu offers bottomless gravy however no one came to check how our meal was or if we needed anything. The roast was pretty good meat lovely potatoes were more like a new potato than a roasted one. The table next to us had 3 members of staff 1 or 2 eating another on a laptop. Customer service was definitely lacking for the price I would expect table service and attentive staff.

Absolutely stunning food, best food I have had in ages. Corner house did not disappoint, every mouthful had our tstebuds jumping for joy, not one single complaint! We will definitely be returning. Called in here by chance walking passed, absolutely delicious food and very reasonable prices goats cheese and haloumi fries and prawn and chorizo pizza WOW it was taste sensation. Highly recommend

Service from a very tall gentlman was great but the food very below par Sticky chicken ok not very hot. My steak over cooked very dry , scallops on my wifes pork tasted and smelt very strong ! Very disappointed told the server no one came over. DM looked very bored just yawning !!

We enjoyed a lovely roast here in September 2024. There were eight of us, and we arrived a bit late due to traffic; the staff were completely understanding of this. One person in our party had allergies, which the staff managed very well. Even though restaurant was quite busy, the staff made sure to check on how the food was and offered more drinks, etc. The food was delicious. Rhoda, our waiter, was so welcoming and attentive. I highly recommend the roast here! Excellent food and customer service.

Brilliant service, brilliant food, this is our second year doing an annual trip to Cardiff and due to it being so good last time we went again last night. The floor staff work so hard and it’s so busy but this doesn’t compromise the service. I had a starter as a main which they accommodated due to not having a big appetite. The only downfall we had was my mum had a fillet of pork, which was lovely however the outer part of the meat was incredibly tough, I think it had been overdone. But she ate everything else and only left the tougher part of meat. I had scallops, they were like butter.. so was my sisters steak and my aunt had sea bass, again, beautiful food. Reasonably priced for what it is also, and the drinks were great for cocktails, but as I don’t drink much the non alcoholic cocktails were also super yummy. Can’t wait to see you guys again soon! Looks like a traditional comfortable pub which is great. On arrival we needed the loo but the ladies and gents had problems so we were guided to the disabled loo which hadn’t been used for a while. There were cobwebs in it which was quite good considering Halloween was the night before - but it was dirty. I had the soup which was tasteless and luke warm. Carrot and coriander isn’t difficult to make? I had salmon on noodles which didn’t match the description on menu which was chef’s specials. The salmon was big thank goodness as the noodles were a big lump with various other bits and bobs thrown in. Husband had a steak which he enjoyed but all in all £80 was awful. I didn’t say anything as the table next to us had already said their steak was too tough to cut. Not quite sure what happened to their chef last night but he may have had night off

We visited as a family, we were made aware by front of house that there were no bread rolls for any of the burgers, which for a City Centre pub is bonkers. But we decided to have food anyway. We then went up to the bar and we’re refused food as she said they had stopped taking food orders at 2:30pm no reason why. So as we went to leave front of house said no it’s ok I’ve told them to serve you, you the last food orders. So back to the bar to be told that not only do they not have any rolls but there were no Chicken dishes available so that took out about half the menu. Give this place a wide berth.

Saturday afternoon. Place look quiet. Didnt book a table. Manager showed us table upstairs. We ordered burger, chicken and round of drinks. Bill was around 48£. I'm try to use my employee discount but didnt work. Unfortunately they told me " you used your discount today" shame. Lucky one of the manager gave me 20% off. Amazing night out!! From the moment we arrived, it felt welcoming and inviting, we were able to sit where we wanted. The staff were very attentive and able to answer all questions we had about the menu and after an excellent recommendation from kaylum, I chose the pork belly and it was beyond any expectation! Long days shopping this is a great venue for a glass of something, not the cheapest 2x Rose £20 but perfect city centre venue opposite the IVY and between a number of restaurants and other bars, the sun was out and the area set aside for drinks sits in a lovely position.

Nice atmosphere in the pub and despite taking our booking for the restaurant online we were weren't told in advance that the restaurant wasn't open. We did have a table in the pub which was fine, but right next to a loudspeaker and also next to the disabled toilets which was ok but had to shut the loo door a couple of times that someone had left open and the smell wasn't too pleasant when you're trying to eat. The music in the pub as a whole wasn't too loud, but being next to the loudspeaker made conversation quite difficult. Waitress was very friendly and helpful and the food was fairly good if unexceptional. Would return, but not for a meal unless the restaurant was open.
