Never opened, waste of time and fuel went twice and its closed but online it says opened! Sort your hours out you wasting peoples time and money!

Cancelled online order - don't want the business? Don't worry I won't be using you again.

Very rude staff member the food was raw it was also not nice the flavour was rubbish. I asked the staff member for a plate and knife and fork very rude didn’t listen to me walked off I do not recommend this place to anyone very disappointing experience.

First time we had food inside, normally we take away and it’s lot better to go in the restaurant. The lamb chops were really good, perfect cooked, juicy meat. The chicken shawarma was also very good. It’s definitely underestimated, he should be a lot busier cause the food is much better than other places

Very generous potions. Delicious meat freshly cooked on the grill. Would recommend borek, mixed grill, lamb kofta and fattoush salad. 3 mains plenty for family of 4 to share. All served with rice and salad.

Dropped in here on a whim in Jan 2023. Frontage not the most enticing but I noticed turkish people in there. Starter of humus was the best I’ve had in years. Then Lamb Kofta, cooked on charcoal, delicious. All very reasonably priced. Much better than the pricey places in pontcanna.

Ordered using Uber eats, didn’t receive the order for over an hour and a half, when I rang the restaurant told me they were busy and seemed not to have a clue about the order. Received the order about 2 hours after ordering and kofta was cold, burnt and dry. Absolutely disgusting food was thrown away and would not order again. Can see from previous reviews that this is something common.

Went in at 4.45pm, only just opened so no other customers. Was very cold asked for English tea or coffee, he had none. Asked for rice & chips 50/50 with the meal, could only get rice and salad and had to order chips extra. The food arrived it was awful, chicken had strange taste like slight tinge of bleach and was so hard he provided steak knifes. It was covered in a mushroom sauce which was slimy, the rice was definetly not fresh, at least 3 days old from the taste. I warm rice at home the 2nd day and still tastes fine but his rice did not. Salad was tasteless, just covered in oregano, maybe to disguise stale taste but didnt succeed. Needless to say we hardly ate anything, so he asked us if we wanted boxes to take the food home ! He should be ashamed serving that food, we didnt complain as he clearly knew that he had served old food . Will never ever return. Wasted £30 to feel sick n still hungry. I guess they must be planning on closing down if they dare to serve food like that. The place looks rubbish, all packaging stacked in corners in view of customers. Sorry i dont like to complain but that food could make ppl actually ill and its a total rip off!

Unassuming restaurant tucked in on Cowbridge Road in Canton which should be far busier than it is. The food is absolutely delicious and even though we stopped twice, I couldn’t get past the chicken shawarma. My daughter had the beetroot salad and her boyfriend had one of the lamb dishes - all so good. I’m not sure about the negative reviews but give it a try.

Had a take away tonight cost 42 pound and was jus enough for 2 people and absaloutly discusting the meat was dry cold and burnt and chips were at least a week old!!!! I Do not recommend!!!!

Ordered from here tonight via Just eat, then collected it from the restaurant 20mis later which I though was good for a Saturday night! Ordered a veggie main, chicken main and a couple of the side salads. Everything was delicious. Chicken was marinated really well and the rice was so tasty. Portions large. Will definitely order from here again and pop in the restaurant one night too. We hadn’t eaten here before and didn’t check TA reviews before ordering or we might have been put off! I can’t believe these bad reviews are about the same restaurant to be honest! Hence why I thought I’d leave a recent one with our experience which was all positive.

Halal restaurant with Super delicious food, amazing sauces and generous portions. The platter is a must try. Will have to visit again 👍

Ordered a takeaway and was extremely disappointed. The delivery didnt match everything we ordered. The chicken wings had gone off and smelt bad but that didnt stop the restaurant sending them out. The lamb chops and chicken were completely over cooked and the rice was swimming in grease. A total waste of money. Will never order from there again as food was terrible.

Food was gross. Soggy chicken shawarma wrap. Chips were undercooked and the portion was terrible. A handful at the most. Doner meat was so dry it got stuck in thr throat you needed a drink to encourage it down your esophagus. My baba ghanoush tasted vile. Never habe I ever tasted anything like that. I usually love baba ghanoush dish, especially from deli fuego or la minas. This went straight in the bin. Paid extra for bread for the baba ghanoush which i think should just come with the dish. Total waste of money. I will never order again

Read some bad reviews but thought i would still give it a go...... another bad choice i made. Food was delievered quick but was not good. Dry and unseasoned chicken, aubergine was just mushy water and the bread was stale. There was nothing at all good about this... NOTHING.

Order from here every weekend. Usually 10/10. Communication isn’t great had a few mess ups there but food is usually amazing. Ordered tonight and received uncooked chicken. Said they’d send a fresh meal never did.

One of the worst turkish places I have eaten at. I ordered a mixed grill and the food was so burnt it look like it was cremated. Food was dry and disgusting. The customer service was really poor. The best thing about the whole experience was the cold bottle of water that I ordered because they didn't do jugs of water. Wouldn't recommend.

I ordered from Uber Eats. Was half an hour late. No pitta bread. Food was cold. Chicken and lamb were dry. Cost £30 for one chicken shish, lamb ribs and dolma. Disappointing.

We just ordered through Uber eats for a takeaway & it was delicious. We ordered platter 4 & it was stunning. Huge portions, the meat was beautifully cooked, the rice was lovely but the humous & tzatziki were out of this world. We can’t wait to go try the food in the restaurant. Very pleased.

Review I ordered online via Uber Eats. I didn’t order much, just a wrap meal & a starter. I ordered at 7pm and it said it would be delivered between 7.45 - 8.05pm. 8.30 and still no food, I tried ringing the restaurant a few times and there was no answer. I had to ring them 12 times!!!! Before I eventually got through, and then the person on the phone was very short & snappy with me and not very polite. There was no apology for it being delayed and no explanation provided, he couldn’t care less. I get it, it’s a Friday night and it’s busy, but manners cost nothing ! I was told it would be another 18 minutes. (I checked google maps and it said 15minute drive to my house). 30 minutes passed and still no food so I rang another 10 times!! No answer! And it didn’t arrive until 9.10 (40mins after ringing up to ask where my food was). The driver seemed nice but didn’t apologise for the time. The food was cold, although what I could eat cold (the wrap) was tasty and had a nice flavour. I got given the wrong drink too. Overall, I would not order from here again. Shame because the food actually seemed like it would taste nice, but it’s defo not worth the wait. Service is appalling. First & last time I will be having food from Mira.

Ordered from here and they never even delivered our food. Called once and was fobbed off saying it was on its way. When I called back having waited an hour they just stopped answering the phone. Don’t waste your money.

Ordered 1st time through Uber eat very bad experience. I got 4 young kids. WHOLE food Burn and hard. Kids couldn't eat. I usually make at home once a month or very rarely we Order from outside just yo avoid these incidents. Kids unhappy and sad. And I have to see this all as Mum... Just had the platter 1 delivered today and I have to say the food was stunning. I am a big eater but it destroyed me. Very well cooked and tasty with very big portions, will definitely be going into this restaurant as I have heard the service is very good as well

Ordered lamb and chicken dishes that were burnt and dry. Another person in our group had falafel that were very dry and tasteless. Unfortunatly the juices didn't taste right and perhaps watered down.No social distances measures apart from random handgel in a corner. And we were overcharged for the drinks.There wasn't enough staff so food took a long time to arrive. Glad I didn't pay full price for a mediocre meal.

I ate here on New Year's day with my partner. We really enjoyed our food, and the two staff members were really friendly and efficient. Our meal came to just under £30 for two starters and mains as well as a wine and beer. Would definitely visit again, lovely atmosphere and all round good experience.

Came to have dinner with my girlfriend. Very disapointed with food and service. Ordered hummus and nan bread for starter. Bread was chewy and hummus was blunt and tasteless. Platter for 2 was more like for one. Chicken shis was dry and rice was tasetles. Service is horible as you have to ask for tap water and cutlery also it took ages to arrive on the table.If you want to have peaceful and nice dinner you wouldn't go there trust me.

I had my birthday meal at Mira and it was a wonderful experience - the staff are so friendly and the food was amazing! We brought our own birthday cake and they made us feel as if we were at home. The staff even sang happy birthday to me. Such good value too - best restaurant in Cardiff in my opinion!

Beautiful decor and lovely restaurant. Owner is a people person and the food is great. Parking can be an issue though and at times it may take a while to get your food but otherwise great.

A small group of us booked to eat here as we all like Mediterranean style food, needed somewhere that opens mid week and wanted some good veggie options. Starters (houmous, tzatziki etc, served with nice bread) were fine. We were less impressed with the main courses. The chicken dishes were OK, but the vegetarian options were disappointing. The moussaka was barely edible and the falafel main (which I had) appeared to have come from a packet and tasted of nothing. Every main course was served with a small dome of rice and a serving of salad. The food was slightly too salty for me and the salad also had some strange salty dressing scattered on it. We left quite a lot of the food (which we wouldn’t normally do) and didn’t bother trying the desserts. The general atmosphere is good, and prices are low, but the food needs some serious work. It’s really not great. If you want Mediterranean food , go to the Cathays area of Cardiff - Soray on City Road is better food for similar prices, and Mina’s on Crwys Road is excellent every time.

We've been to Mira a number of times. Last night we went with a party of 6 children and 7 adults and had an enjoyable meal at a very reasonable cost. The food was good, freshly cooked and plentiful. Wide selection of starters and mains meant everybody had something they enjoyed. Definitely worth a try.

OMG ordered a ribeye steak with vegetables and chips, chips were covered in grease and were totally soggy steak was barely edible and came with burnt peppers and onions on top for £14.50 it came in a chip shop tray with the lid shut the smell and taste of burnt peppers and onions saturated through the whole tray. We ordered the Mira chicken it was a burnt piece of chicken Kiev with a hole in the top stuffed with the most vilest putrid mushroom sick. Smelt really gone off took one bite of it and nearly puked myself threw it all in bin didn’t even want to risk giving it to my dog. Cost nearly £13 just to throw in bin. How are people giving this place good reviews? Will never ever waste my money by ordering from here again worst place I have ever ordered from by far. I may as well have just thrown my money in bin. Spent over £30 just to be sickened shame I can’t post a pic of this filthy meal. Order at your own risk.

We are regular cinwma goers to Chapter and love eati g out in Cowbridge rd east. Mira is new tous and we have been back twice in a week lovely food great service and a good selection of wine . THhe baba ganoush is superb.

Went to Mira Restaurant last night for the first time and it was the best meal i have had in a long time, the staff are great, service is excellent , excellent value for money and the decoration of the restaurant made me feel like i was back in Turkey. I totally recommend this restaurant, i will definitely be going back and telling my family and friends.

Carne a la brasa fresca y de calidad. Tenía shish pollo y cordero. Tierno, bien condimentado y especiado. Ensalada super fresca. Ignore las llamativas ventanas de estilo para llevar, las pantallas exteriores y el menú (¿lasaña? Servicio muy agradable. Parece vacío, lo cual es una pena, pero es fácil conseguir una mesa. El mejor restaurante de su tipo (parrilla de estilo económico de Oriente Medio) en Cardiff.

Cálida bienvenida, uno de los mejores vinos de Primitivo en todo Cardiff, entrantes inspirados (hh ehummous, hojas de higuera y babaganoush fueron geniales), gran ambiente, servicio atento y luego. . . 2 de 3 principales tenían problemas. Las gambas estaban cocinadas en fuego abierto y, por lo tanto, pelarlas era casi imposible. Para su crédito, le ofrecieron a mi amigo otra opción de comida, pero él siguió adelante. Este curso estaba bien, pero no pudo evitar sentir que esto fue comprado en la tienda y no recién hecho.La comida principal fue Shisha de pollo, que venía con una ensalada y una porción de arroz sin sabor, el pollo estaba seco y quemado en algunos lugares. Pregunté si había una salsa para él, pero el camarero dijo que probara la crema agria que supuestamente tenía ajo. en ella no había ninguna, no se proporcionó salsa.No comí comida y tampoco mi amigo. Uno de sus platos era la ensalada de remolacha y perejil, que era horrible, debían haber usado 10 racimos de perejil para que no pudieras probar la remolacha o casi no la vieras, este plato no se comía.El servicio al cliente es malo, no se proporcionaron cubiertos, cuando preguntó qué ingredientes estaban en los platos, nunca recibió una respuesta, simplemente gofre, cuando dijimos que la comida era insípida, no se ofreció ninguna disculpa ni reembolso, lo cual es una mala reflexión sobre el negocio. que intentarían apaciguar a sus clientes, pero este no era el caso.Hay mucha competencia en Canton con comida de muchos otros establecimientos y para sobrevivir creo que Mira necesita mejorar su juego.Yo y mi amigo no volveremos, no disfrutamos de la comida y no valía la pena el dinero.Ir a una comida india en su lugar.

Really friendly customer service and the food is very nice and reasonable. One star off as at times it can have a bit too much salt and oil for me (if I could give it 4.5 I would). Highly recommended.

A restaurant where you have to ask for a knife and fork is not really a restaurant. If you ask for some tap water as you arrive and it comes to the table an hour and a half later confirms this view. A starter where it's hard to know if aubergine or chick pea is the base adds to the sinking feeling. And then the main course, served in a choking fug of smoke has been left unattended on the grill for much of the cooking. Nice staff, reasonably priced wine, but if you want better bread, fresher food and a better meal by a factor of ten walk five minutes up the street to 'Sen.' Our family was disappointed: I am just the messenger.

After trawling the road due to the disappointment of not being able to get into an Italian down the road (who expects to have to book on a Tuesday) we were initially reluctant for Middle Eastern until we walked past here with the grill in the window.

Popped in for lunch on a quiet Sunday. Excellent food at great prices. Definitely be back soon.

Myself and a friend were in canton last night after the football looking to find somewhere new.

Very nice quality fresh food. Its nice that you can see the good being cooked. Lovely cosy atmosphere and waitress was lovely. Fantastic selection of alcoholic drinks too.

We had lunch here and thoroughly enjoyed it. We all had different things (lamb, sea bream cooked on charcoal, stuffed peppers, chicken, lam shish) and everything done really well. Very good value, very good service, without being intrusive. The starters delicious and for smaller appetites quite enough for a meal (with nice bread / complimentary hummus). The desert menu limited (baklava / ice cream) and you would not go here for the puddings. The Turkish coffee on the other hand and the complementary Turkish delights were excellent. As everything is freshly prepared (and you can see this as the kitchen is at the front, not hidden away at the back), dishes can be adapted to dietary needs (I am a Coeliac and my sea bream was cooked without the coating of flour; the waiter asked if I preferred it not fried but grilled on charcoal; I went for that and am very pleased I did: recommended). We will definitely be back.

This is a fairly new and local restaurant to us in Canton, so we just had to try. It was quiet as midweek however the atmosphere was great, beautiful lighting. You can see the meat being cooked over a charcoal grill, and the smell was mouthwatering. All food we ordered was delicious-we had a feast and food was very authentic according to one of our party who is from Iraq. High praise! Would highly recommend going. We will definitely be back! Thank you for a delicious meal.

We went there on a Monday night, so it was fairly quiet. We ordered a selection of starters including hummus, baba ganoush, cheese borek, muhammara (no main course because we'd had a massive meal earlier), which were served with a salsa, a cool yoghurt sauce and plenty of bread. The food really was the star of the show. We had a mixture of starters between the 4 of us and they were all really good. The mains just left me wanting more. Can't comment on desserts as I'd been defeated by that stage which is unlike me and couldn't eat any more. One of our party is from the middle east and thought the food was tasty and authentic. All the food was served pretty quickly, but with it being a weekday evening it was quiet. It really is a great little gem and I'd definitely go again the next time I'm in Cardiff.

Been there with some acquaintances today for dinner , food was fresh and autentic as I have been eaten in instanbul.

We came here for a family meal on a Tuesday evening. The atmosphere is lovely and the food even better. All freshly grilled right in front of you and extremely reasonably priced. Some of the most delicious houmous we have ever had and the meat platter that was prepared for us was the perfect amount of food and excellently seasoned. Really hope this restaurant does well. A nice refreshing addition to canton high street and a very authentic taste of turkey! We will be coming back!
