The Corner Cafe in Northumberland

Great local cafe. We were dying for a coffee and Corner Cafe turned out to be just the ticket. Very busy with what were obviously locals, which is always a good sign. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Never had a bad breakfast here. Absolutely love it. Whole family catered for, despite everyone being fussy! Order is always correct. Food is fresh and cooked exactly as we like. The service is fantastic, so friendly. Really clean too. Can’t wait to go back.

Just called for drinks (ok and a toilet break) while in prudhoe. The cafe is pretty much what you would expect from the outside, dont expect too much and you wont be disappointed. Tea and coffee were ok and the toilets (one each!) clean. A warmer welcome and smile would have been nice.

Myself and a colleague went during our 1 hour lunch time at work, there were 2/3 tables of people already in there, our fry up took 45 minutes to come out!!! We queried it a few times, eventually having to pretty much leave the breakfast by the time it came out - they served no butter with the cold toast, had to ask for it. No apology and charged us full price. Worse place I've been to on front street. Certainly wont be going there again. Really really annoyed!

Used to use this cafe often then it changed ownership, Tried this place a couple of times since but meals are very poor. Terrible table service with a couldnt care less attitude.. Had to ask for clean cutlery but was replaced with another dirty fork which had dried food between the prongs.. Ate some of our sandwich but didn't touch salad, Very poor quality food and people on next table left their meal.. ok place for the elderly locals to hace a cuppa and natter

Came here for breakfast one day, breakfast was fine food was ok. Service was a bit slow but overall the cafe is basic, they do not accept card payment either...

Service is quick fried egg sandwich is the best ever. The cafe is very clean. Staff friendly. Highly recommend. Coffee is extra nice.

food was tasty and freshly cooked , this means a wait and as drinks were brought as soon as order placed they had been drunk before food arrived. Next time I will ask for both together.

Had a great breakfast here great value for money.Sets you up for the day .Been back since for lunch loads to offer loved the quiches. Cant wait to go back .Great friendly and heplful staff .Would tell anyone if you go to prudhoe go visit the corner cafe .

I recently visited this cafe and was very happy with the the food I ordered, the breakfast was fantastic and the eggs were very tasty and fresh! The staff were friendly too. Would definitely recommend to anybody in the area or just passing through and are feeling hungry.

The corner cafe for what it is is ok. Very basic interior but seemed well kept and clean. The food was typical of a cafe of its type. I didnt have the quiche but what I saw of others it looked good and a fair portion. The breakfast was ok but I thought the eggs advertised as fresh maybe not have been...they were perfectly good to eat and tasted ok but I can tell a fresh egg when I see one. Over all...it’s a cafe and the food for the price you can’t complain.

Visited for breakfast and we both chose the slimmers breakfast. This consisted of scrambled egg & tinned plum tomatoes with four pieces of brown toast. The food was cooked to order & was piping hot. We shared a pot of tea.

Called in for a cuppa and found it a pleasent atmosphere and staff very helpful. I am currently on crutches and they helped me in and out and gave me a table that meant I could put my crutches against wall and get in and out with ease. Very nice place

If you're looking for a no frills cafe, then it is the ideal location. The corner cafe breakfast is excellent. The staff are pleasant and service is good. Great value for money, take a look.

I pop in from time to time and the food is always good, the staff are chatty and friendly, always have a smile. Prices are pretty damn good aswell.

Han sido muchas veces a este lugar para comer y también para llevar. Las tartas y quiches son simplemente magníficos y caseros. El personal es extremadamente amable y saber el menú dentro. Si en Prudhoe y su hambre este lugar es imprescindible.

Lovely food and friendly staff too. My kids love going there for food. The staff make you feel so welcome and the food is always lovely and it is also reasonably priced too

Tenía un par de desayunos de sábado por la mañana aquí, que sin duda dio en el clavo! Buena calidad de tocino y salchichas, huevos fritos, cocinados a la perfección (no crujientes en vista!) y todos los adornos. El encantador ambiente local que en un lugar pequeño ambiente café ciudad estereotipado.

Visitamos Prudhoe para ver Santa encender las luces navideña y tiempo inglés típico golpeado! Mis dos niños se levantó frío y húmedo, así que entramos en su cafetería para calentarse. Nos recibieron con una sonrisa y pedimos una fruta disparar, moka y chocolate caliente. Entonces mi hijo rápidamente decidió que le gustaría los niños pollo, patatas fritas y frijoles y mi hija pedimos una teacake. La camarera de volver y cortesmente que, desafortunadamente, no había ido, así que opté por ella para un perro caliente en su lugar. Nuestras bebidas llegó rápidamente y minutos más tarde la comida llegamos. Las bebidas y la comida donde caliente y la camarera era preciosa con mi hijo pequeño, advertencia él su comida caliente. Mi hija me di cuenta en el fuerte su perro caliente venían en dijo que "el mejor perro caliente en todo el mundo!" a mitad de comer que me miró y dijo: " ¡este es el mejor perro caliente en el mundo!! Le pagué la cuenta un precio muy razonable y nos volvimos a salir en el frío. Para resumir nuestra visita; feliz personal, buena comida y bebida y bien de precio.

He estado utilizando este lugar cada día hábil para el pasado 2 años.soy una criatura del hábito, así que mi desayuno no cambia. Tiene muy buen servicio de todo el personal y hacen la mejor tortilla. Siempre es un placer.

By far the cheapest & best Full English Breakfast that will keep you going all day. Friendly staff, homely feel & fantastic food. It may be small on size but is BIG on Friendly & Food...

The fact that this place is always busy is testament in itself.Whether it's a coffee you want or a filling no-nonsense lunch at a reasonable price then this is the place to visit.This isn't a fine dining/bistro but then it doesn't pretend to be....it's a down-to-earth cafe with a wide but equally down-to-earth menu and it's all the better for its lack of pretension. However, if you want to indulge yourself then try a slice of home baked cake to finish your meal....you won't be disappointed!

A great menu, great good and a fantastic hangover curing fry up..Any time I can, whether it's a day off, or the weekend after, The Corner Café never fails.

My mam and I visit here every week. It really is a lovely cafe. Food spot on and very reasonable to. My mam won't go anywhere else (it's a age thing!) But to honest I don't mind as it's so nice. Staff lovely and that includes the owner. Always spends the time to say hello. Thumbs up prudhoe cafe :)

Excellent place for a fry up. They have quite a big menu and everything ive tried has been great. Staff are always really friendly.

Visit most weekends with my son - great grub, fantastic coffee and lovely family run cafe - need more of these in the North East!
