Popped in for a quick drink and saw that they had a beat the clock Pizza deal on. 3pm to 8pm....the time you order is the price you pay + £2. We ordered the pepperoni and the chicken and were not disappointed. Authentic del8cious pizzas served quickly and Dave was more than friendly. £10 for 2 pizzas. Had Tapas before here several times and cannot fault the food, friendliness and atmosphere. A must visit

Came in for a friends birthday. Bar service was on point and the food was exceptional. Had pizza and tapas. Will definitely be coming back.

Service was very good, the seabass is amazing. Absolutely delicious 😋 I have been here before but definitely going again. Very reasonably priced as well. Great atmosphere

Fantastic little place, just on the outskirts of the town centre. Warm and inviting, with really tasty food. The service is warm and welcoming, we have already been a few times, and will be going again

We had the tapas 3 dishes for £15 we bought 5 dishes and the food was excellent, great portion sizes. I would recommend the chorizo, blue cheese chicken and the king prawns.

I work just around the corner from The Corkhouse so we always start off here if we go out for food from work or a night out with work friends if we are on a full night out. The vibe is brilliant and I love the music they have on. Been for food a few times and it is always great. All the staff are friendly and always have a smile on their face. Tonight we went out for tea and on a Thursday it is the special offer of a small pasta dish and 2 gins or beers for £11.50. We all had different pasta dishes but also ordered 2 garlic breads between 5 of us. The food was amazing and so tasty and the gins are lovely and served with fruit in them. I love it here and I think it’s the best bar in Burnley!

Welcoming place to enjoy a glass of excellent wine or a cocktail with friends or family. Very tasty, homemade tapas with an extensive menu :)

Awful is the only way to describe this! Which is upsetting. Having never ever left a bad review even more so in my home town, I feel I need to let people know how unwelcoming this place is. We had booked a table for 4 and were placed in a table for two squished between 2 tables for 4. One empty and one beyond raucous! We moved along but was then informed by the manager/owner ours was the table in the middle. The group on the adjoining table had spread onto where we were expected to eat/drink. If felt very intimidating and uncomfortable. When we said we had booked a table for 4, we were informed ‘so has my wife!’ Maybe not the response I was expecting as a customer! To be fair when the ladies came over they were extremely gracious and happy to sit in the space we were supposed to sit in. Obviously more aware of their surroundings and possibly knew the customers weren’t regular! The manager came back over and when I said it was awful and he asked why?!? He said he couldn’t help who comes into his establishment!!! I totally agree but as the manager you are in charge and have responsibility to ensure that customers feel comfortable and safe!!! The group eventually left (following friends who I believe didn’t pay for their drinks!) and we were moved along. I can honestly say if it wasn’t for the kindness of the lady who was in the party of the owners wife we wouldn’t have stayed. She showed compassion and was fully aware of an awful situation that no one should face when going for a lovely night out with friends. The owner/manager needs to up skill on customer service. The food was great (minus the tomato pizza that was delivered to another table) but his attitude and treatment of customers was quite honestly shocking.

I've never left a bad review for anywhere but me and my friends were left so upset and insulted by the owner I felt I must. We booked a table for 8pm for food and drinks. We got our first drinks and were half way through them when the owner came and said the kitchen was closing in one minute. We had planned on eating but the music was so loud we couldn't have a conversation with our friends. It's never been like that before. So unfortunately we felt we couldn't stay. We told him this and he was so rude, saying he'd kept our table reserved all day until 8pm! We didn't book it for day drinking which we told him. So he went mad saying so you're not eating when I've kept your table all day. I could have had other customers use it! He just didn't get it! Then as he stormed off he shouted over his shoulder, oh you're just rude!!! How dare you treat customers like that! I'm not a rude person, I think you'll find that he is! Really strange as he's never been like that before! He even had the nerve to say he won't book us in again! As if we'd go back!

On Wed I booked a table for 4 ladies of a certain age to eat at 6pm, I received a message saying my table was booked. On arrival my friend was already seated at a table for 4, she had been told by the person behind the bar this was our table, this table was 2 table pushed together, we were asked by 2 different barmaids if they could take one of the tables as they needed it, at which point we said no, the manager approached us and said he was taking the table, this would have left us with a table that couldn't fit 4 plates on, he said because I only booked on Wed's we just got what was left, he had started shouting and we asked him stop (they are closed from Sun to Wed's) I told him that should have been explained when I booked, he said he would let us have a different table, as we were moving he said to me I don't need the attitude, I replied neither do I, so he asked us to leave. I am a 62 year old lady and have never been treated so DISRESPECTFULLY shame on you

Ok here goes I attended the bar on a Sunday we’re a few people were singing hosted by Wayne From start to finish what an excellent day and night. Dave and his team work non stop to serve clean and make this an exceptional place to be food was pizza which was served hot and cooked well. The cheese board serves 2 a good variety of cheeses. A warm welcome a great place to chill enjoy the wines and beers alike.Dave the staff are a refit to you from kitchen to bar first class see you soon

Book a table here to eat and drink. Decorated lovely. Atmosphere was great. Our pizza were burnt and had to be re done. No harm done but a drink on the house would have been nice whilst waiting.

Have been meeting up with friends here for lunch on quite a few occasions There is a great selection of wines and lovely food the cheese platters are amazing .

Just want to say how disappointed I was in the visit I had with 3 of my friends. We ordered a bottle of wine and when it arrived it was the wrong one, which is an easy mistake to make and was easily replaced with the wine of our choice. Now the disappointing part was the fact two of my peers watched the wine (which was originally brought to the table and taken away due to it being the wrong one after we had poured the glasses) poured back into the original bottle and forcefully replaced the cap even though lemonade was added to the original glasses and handed to a table who were promoting the ‘night life’ of Burnley and had absolutely no idea this wine had originally been poured back into the bottle from glasses which had been drank from (in the middle of a pandemic) who then denied to even acknowledge the fact we knew what had gone on. The service was extremely unacceptable as throughout our experience I don’t feel as though we were treat like loyal customers having spent quite a lot of money already. This pushed us to move onto a different Venue and we never ended up purchasing the porn star martini tree we were looking forward to as I don’t feel they were worthy of our custom any longer. The service was unacceptable as nobody approached the table to ask how our experience was (maybe this was due to calling them out about the original bottle of wine). I don’t think I’ll be rushing back to this venue anytime soon.

Went on 27th August to celebrate my birthday. We had a fantastic night with delicious sharing platters, pizza's, lovely bottle of wine and some delicious cocktails. The atmosphere was great and very relaxed. The staff were great too, friendly and welcoming. Can't wait to go back :)

Last time I was in here it was a pub called the Falcon. The staff were pleasent and friendly. I had a couple of beers and the Queen of Spain Platter. It was excellent and bigger than I expected which was a bonus. Will be back.

I remember this place when it was the Sparrow Hawk . Boy has it changed ...for the good. I didn't think we would need to book a table but lucky we did because the place was heaving when we arrived. The staff made us feel welcome right from the start and got our orders in quickly . Bubble gum gin and Tetleys Smooth all round and soon we were getting into the spirit. Pizzas arrived after 20 minutes and they did not disappoint - Fat and cheesy, just how I like 'em. Stayed the whole 5 hours before the midnight bell tolled and it was last orders (the time we all dread the most). By then, my voice was shattered anyway because it does get noisy in there because its a small place that attracts a large crowd, So prepare to shout yourself senseless. Still, this adds to the atmosphere and I'd rather be in a noisy popular bar than an empty soul-less one . A great night had by all . Recommended to all

Went in here for a drink on a Saturday afternoon. The place was really busy but we were still served very quickly. Luckily we managed to get a table to sit at as it's very small and not much standing room. Drinks are reasonably priced and the porn star martini my wife had was very tasty. The food smelt amazing and its somewhere I'd like to go too try the food. I'd definitely go back.

Improtu visit for my leaving Lunch accommodated 15 of us Shared Pizzas and Drinks - Dave did a Great Job and did not let us down as we pre ordered - on the table virtually as we walked in - Top Job and Top Dave!! Place is great inside and tables and chairs outside... it was A great Hour and a bit! Thanks Dave xx Highly Recommended!!!

Visited here Saturday night and asked for a gin and tonic. The bottle of tonic was not handed to me with the glass of gin and was simply all poured in for me. Surely you should be asked if you want it all. He also put a slice of lemon in my drink using his fingers and did not use tonges. How was I to know he had clean hands ? I had been to wetherspoons earlier and even they handed me the bottle and used tonges for the slice of lime. It's a lovely place but please train your barman (guy with hair tied in a bun)to correctly serve drinks.

Would go here more often but we seem to be unlucky with opening hours and it’s been closed a few times when we’ve been in the area. Only been for lunch which has always been good. Believe it turns into a busy wine bar set up in the evening.

It was the first time that I have visited this place and I was quite impressed, although I think for my age I was the right time to go as, I would think it would be very cramped at night There is a small but nice choice of food and a very comfortable sitting lounge, well worth a visit.

Visited the cork house for a friends birthday .we had an excellent experience the staff were very friendly and helpful could not do enough for us and the food we had was excellent.and not expensive.my friend who’s birthday it was had an excellent evening and we would definitely visit again..this is a lovely place with lots of twinkling lights that make this place a very cosy place

Across the road from the old Lava Ignite building you could easily miss this place if you didn’t know it, word NEEDS to get out though! Once inside you’re met with a small dining area, full bar and an amazing wine wall. The menu is small, but food is fantastic. Highly recommended!

I really like the cork house been twice on Friday and both nights with good atmosphere. Price on food is ok. We all enjoyed the food big sharing platter and pizzas. We had prosecco and red wine - all good. Friendly service throughout. 1st night lots of girls enjoying a night and the 2nd night was more mixed and mostly men participating in posh g&ts!! So suits lots of different people, we will all go again. Enjoy.

An inviting atmosphere. Just what was needed in the area. The white wine was lovely! I did not eat here this time but I will be back soon to do so.

The Cork house is a little gem in Burnley centre offering a lovely relaxed atmosphere, great wine and amazing food, the half and half cheese and charcuterie board is amazing. The manager and staff are absolutely lovely, (even when some of the customers are a bit awkward) would definitely recommend it.

Arrived to this bar following a day of celebrations for a Hen Party- being told by the manager we cannot drink water! “That’s enough water” bearing in mind we had ordered over £20 worth of gin drinks?! We were spared water??

This Winebar is a little bit difficult to find, but it is only about a five minute walk from the main shopping area and well worth the effort. It is housed in an old Victorian pub that has been very well renovated. There is also some outside seating at the front of the building. In addition to the wine list there is a good cocktail menu and some draught beers. The service is very good, we very much enjoyed our visit and will be back the next time we are in Burnley.

Decided to visit here,after hearing about this place.We ordered drinks and looked at the menu.On a menu board on the wall it offered sandwhiches,when asked they do not make them now,also a club sandwich is on website as well.This should be removed.So we decided not to stay,staff are pleasant and helpful.Will try the food on another visit.

A group of us went for lunch. Lovely place with great pizzas and gin cocktails. Only a small place so I would recommend booking.

Went here one Wednesday with a group of friends. There was only one other table in who were eating but we had quite a long wait for our food although when it did come it was lovely. Would be nice to have a little more variety on the menu for example more sides to accompany the pizzas. Would return.

We came today as it was highly recommend from friends. The drinks and food were reasonably priced, would definitely come again. We had a really good time the drinks and food were lovely. Nice atmosphere just not very big and not enough tables so didn’t fit very many people in but otherwise fine staff were friendly and food was good will be returning soon

We spent a few hours here, prior to going for our works, late, Xmas meal. There was 8 of us and only a couple had been before. The place is gorgeous and the wine wall is what my dreams are made of ;) There was a lovely atmosphere and I would go back and recommend it, though a little pricey for me, but I wasn't paying ;)

I visited The Corkhouse for the first time on a Sunday afternoon. It was reasonably busy but not overly so. We had a couple of really nice gin cocktails which were well priced and delicious. The olives were lovely and the sharing platter had a nice selection, but could have done with a bit more meat. All in all, this is a really nice and relaxed place and we will definitely be going again.

even at 22, i felt too young to be here! when i walked in with my friend, the atmosphere was so awkward, with those eating staring at us, that we had one (over priced) drink and then left.

I've been here a few times now and what an excellent change it makes to the many other bars in the town. So much so that I wouldn't class it is a typical 'bar' - this can definitely be classed as a wine bar. It has an excellent relaxed, yet adult atmosphere. A good selection of wines available that can also be purchased by the bottle to take away - there is also a good selection of cocktails too. I personally haven't eaten here but the menu selection looks reasonable and is more than likely worth a try. Definitely a nice spot to drop into for a quiet drink.
