It was our first visit here today and definitely our last. When we arrived I thought ‘this is a nice pub’, staff were friendly and it’s nicely decorated. We ordered our lunch and although I was disappointed that my first choice wasn’t available it was just one of those things so I chose something else. No big deal. But given we had to wait approx 1 hour for our food to arrive and my first choice was a superfood salad, I’m pretty sure the cook would’ve had time to go to the local supermarket, buy the ingredients and prepare the salad. Our food arrived and it looked OK but that was the best thing about it. My chicken was like rubber, very obviously frozen chicken which had been cooked beyond belief. The skin on fries lacked any sign of skin and the bbq beans were sporting a kind of coating that only a microwave can provide. My husband’s mixed grill was missing it’s fried egg and a piece of the rubber chicken had found it’s way to his plate too. All in all a huge disappointment so I wouldn’t recommend this place for food. Drinks yes but food? I would avoid it.

New landlady has made a difference, consistently decent pup food and beer, cheerful and polite service, nice to have our local back up to scratch.

Fab new menu, nicely presented & consistently good. Friendly & welcoming bar staff. Would highly reccommend

Had a lovely meal at the woolpack tonight. The food, service and staff were all amazing I will definitely be returning.

Pub local encantador con buena comida y personal muy amable. Aparecí aquí de camino a visitar a la familia. Los entrantes que tuvimos fueron champiñones al ajillo, palitos de mozzarella y cóctel de gambas. Todo delicioso. ¿Se sintió leve la esposa como si hubiera demasiadas gambas? ? ? Nunca es algo malo en mi libro. Yo y nuestro hijo comimos gambas con patatas fritas, mi esposa comió cerdo el domingo. Aquí no escatiman en las porciones. Tal vez no deberíamos haber tenido los primeros, ya que simplemente no pudimos terminar. Gran variedad de verduras en la cena del domingo y todo estaba caliente y se mantuvo caliente mientras comías. En mi opinión, no hay nada peor que comer comida "caliente" a toda prisa. Esta comida fue excelente. Las patatas asadas se acaban de derretir en tu boca, ¿tuve que cortar una de las de la mujer ?. Tres clientes satisfechos. Gran servicio, buena comida ya un precio muy razonable. Definitivamente volveremos.

Had a lovely evening at the Woolpack, both Amy and Ryan were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble! The food was lovely, and reasonably priced, would definitely recommend!

Llamamos aquí por comida ya que se ve encantadora desde afuera, ¡no dejes que esto te engañe! ! Después de esperar 45 minutos para que llegara nuestra comida, la parrilla de la mezcla tenía los aros de huevo y cebolla faltantes y el bistec "raro" estaba bien hecho. Después de informar a la camarera, desapareció en la cocina solo para volver y preguntarnos si el huevo debería pagarse. Después de mostrarle el menú, ella acordó que debería ser con la comida y le pidió al chef que la cocinara. Mi plato principal de pollo con ajo no tenía crema agria como lo anuncian, la camarera sacó un tazón de mayonesa y dijo que era todo lo que tenían. Mis anillos de huevo y cebolla llegaron 10 minutos más tarde y por suerte fue probablemente la parte más agradable de la comida. No volveremos!

Almorzamos hoy y fue encantador! El personal es muy amable, nada de problemas, muy buena renovación, recomiendo la sopa de hongos silvestres, definitivamente regresará y se lo recomendaré a mis amigos. Hubiera sido 5 estrellas si las brochetas de tandoori se sirven con salsa de raita, sigue Nikki, tu trabajo duro pronto será reconocido

Se detuvo para un 'almuerzo rápido' un viernes por la tarde, ordenado del menú fijo: el plato de sopa de tomate estaba frío y parecía más que media lata de tomates picados, luego tuvo que esperar una hora para nuestros platos principales, sin disculpas mientras veíamos el la mesa de al lado nos sirve, independientemente de que hagamos un pedido antes que ellos. Después de 50 minutos, nos informaron que "estaban" cocinando "la hamburguesa ¡ya que no estaban contentos con la calidad! No hay oferta para cambiar el orden, solo que serán otros 4 o 5 minutos, quince minutos después estábamos a punto de salir y llegó, Pastel con papas fritas y no el puré que ordené, y una hamburguesa que tomaría 5 minutos para unir. incluso por el asistente de cocina más aficionado y no calificado. El restaurante también estaba muy frío y con mucha corriente, ¡no te dejes engañar por el encantador exterior acogedor! No volverá.

Después de escuchar que hubo un cambio en la administración, decidimos darle otra oportunidad al Woolpack, ¡no me puedo quejar! ! La comida era deliciosa y el personal fue genial, sin duda volveremos! !

Not a great experience at all. Been here many times and had quite a few occasions where things weren't the best. We keep trying again and get a few decent visits then all goes downhill again. Our latest visit was after a good 6 month break but the allure of a new menu sounded good. Not to be. Staff didn't know what whitebait was (from small plates/starters menu), when we asked for a bottle of wine on the drinks menu, we were told the menu was out of date and they didn't stock it. The wine was advertised as Wednesday buy a bottle cheaper than usual (but don't stock it!). Food was average, will not be giving them a sixth chance!

Booked a table online that went through fine and I got my email confirmation. 4 adults, 1 toddler and a baby in a car seat. Arrived to find out they didn’t have our booking, when asked how we booked they told us ‘we don’t have online booking facility’ 1st cock up. Next when we tried to find out what the roast meats were, and what starters and puddings were included in the Sunday deal, the bar staff had no clue and after 5 minutes of back and forth they finally gave us a Sunday menu. 2nd cock up.We ordered 4 roast dinners, 3 beef 1 pork and 2 sides, pigs in blankets and stuffing, no stuffing actually available and shouldn’t have been on the menu. They offered us cauliflower cheese instead. 3rd cock upAfter 10 minutes they brought us out a small bowl of pigs in blankets. We waited for the rest of our food and after 15minutes went up to the bar to see what was going on. They thought these were our starter (they didn’t even bring the sauce that would come with these IF we had ordered them as a starter) we just asked them to bring out the food as it’s all together. 4th cock up - we should have walked at this point but we were all starving!!!Almost immediately they brought out our dinners (never a good sign - microwave anyone) and we all sat and stared in amazement. The cheap tiny yorkie puds were burnt, the ones you get in Morrison’s in the clear bag for £1. Lumpy gravy, what I can only assume was smash, old looking carrots, 4 TINY and I mean TINY roast potatoes (when I asked for actual roast potatoes waitress told me they had run out) no one in our party had a decent roast potato! The meat to be fair was quite nice, pork seemed fatty though. We had a MASIVE bulb of over cooked cauliflower (no cheese) and some weird mushy red cabbage. It was gross, all of it. We left most of it. 5th cock up.We went to the bar to make the manager aware of the less than poor quality of food - he knocked the sides off and said that’s all he could do. 6th cock up. Would never go back here, not even to drink, not sure if they were just Sunday teenage staff but all miserable and pretty rude. Manager not a scooby doo how to run a pub. Hope you have better experience than we did, lovely looking pub and dead cosy but quite frankly run by people the dont care about customer quality or service.

We visited here for a sunday lunch as a group of 4 adults, 1 toddler and a baby. We arrived to be told that they had no reservation for us even though a the other couple booked online. We were told that the online booking system was down but they managed to seat us straight away. So far so good. We decided to go for the sunday lunch 2 course deal with 4 mains and 4 desserts and a couple of sides. We asked for pigs in blankets and stuffing originally, but the member of staff didnt know they even did stuffing. They didnt have any in anyway so we went for the pigs in blankets and cauliflower cheese. A pot of sausages was put on our table about 10 mins after ordering but no food came so I went to the bar to say we ordered the sausages as a side, not a starter. She didnt know they did sausages as a side so put them through as a starter. I then re explained the food order to her and to the manager. The food came out a short while later. You couldn't call it piping hot. Warm at best. A bit bland. I had the pork dinner. The pork was nice but a lot of fat. I had 1 roast potato that was edible. Other people didnt have any. Just the burnt bits from the bottom of the tray because they had ran out. Veg tasted over microwaved and were rubbery. The cauliflower came some time after the food and was just a few florets drowing in yellow sauce. At the end two of our group went to the bar to air their complaints and when mentioning the booking, the manager said they have no function to book online, however on their website they do, which when shown we were told thata their old site as they have been taken over and they have a Facebook page now. They have a booking system on trip advisor so I would urge you not to use it as you may get there and they have no table for you. We decided not to eat pudding. They did give us a 25% discount but it was still not worth what we paid. Personally wouldn't go back unless they sort themselves out. Last few reviews on here says it all really

My friends and I wanted a cosy warm pub with homemade deserts. I had googled this pub and from the menu and look of website it appeared exactly what we wanted. I had an apple/ fruit crumble in mind.. Luckily this was on the menu, unfortunately it was overpriced and not worth the money.Menu stated apple and mix fruit crumble with flap jack topping. It came in a massive, and very deep dish, but the actual crumble wasn’t even 1cm high. There was no flapjack on the top either and the ‘crumble’ didn’t even cover all the apple. There was not evening any other mixed fruit. I also asked for ice cream not custard and the ice cream was thawed and covered in ICE which is what happens when it’s not been stored properly. My friend had the fruit eaten mess which was diabolical. It was just under £6 and was worth £1 if that. Shocking food. We are saddened by this as the pub itself is very lovely and we liked the decor. We won’t be returning.

Hadn’t been fir a while , turned up at 11-55 in a Sunday lunch time , ready fir opening at 12 ... which it did , but pumps not ready , staff not ready ... not a good sign? Ordered drinks... eventually, then ordered food ... waited fir food , and waited , AND WAITED ... then enquired ... food then delivered, with an apology ( good) ... but the food was basic and not good ... apparently one of the bar staff said that the pub had recently been taken over ?? Well... they have certainly hit the ground limping!!! By the way , the girls behind the bar were fine , but obviously... no leadership?? This place used to be good !!!

Visited the pub for something to eat after a full family day out. As it was such a beautiful sunny day we sat outside which was very pleasant.

Was here with my son for a pint. Atmosphere very nice and comfortable. Beer was fresh and tasty. Prices reasonable. Recommended if you’re passing by!

The Woolie is our local and we love it! Pick a sunny evening to sit outside or grab your friends for the Thursday night quiz. When we last went, they had a good range of gins and well-kept handpull ales.

Fue tan duro como mi zapato. Nunca tuve un sándwich de carne así. Se cortó en trozos pequeños y me dio una palmada en el pan. un sándwich de carne es un trozo de carne Lo siento, nunca más, el entrante era champiñones con ajo más como sopa de champiñones, tan fino que era la salsa Todavía no puedo creer cuánto tiempo tienes que esperar muy tranquilamente cuando fuimos

Es un lugar encantador para sentarse al sol y tomar una copa. Conseguimos algunas bebidas, nos sentamos afuera con un menú, fuimos al bar a pedir y no hay personal para ser visto! Debí haber estado parado en el bar unos 5 minutos, mientras esperaba que otro cliente viniera en busca de una bebida. Nos quedamos esperando a que alguien se sintiera un poco incómodo porque era un bar completamente vacío. . De todos modos, cuando finalmente entró en el bar, pedí comida y fue bastante normal. No fue bueno, pero no fue malo, las fichas que esperaba que fueran papitas grandes y caseras, pero en cambio me sirvieron patatas congeladas. No tendré prisa por volver, ¡lo cual es decepcionante!

Paramos a almorzar en el impulso del momento. La comida era normal. Mi comida se servía de manera diferente a cómo se anunciaba y fue decepcionante. Una de las comidas de los niños no era lo que pedimos. El servicio era normal, el miembro del personal no estaba atento. Los baños de señoras estaban sucios. No se apresurará a volver por desgracia.

Called in sunday lunch ordered fish finger sandwich chips tartare sauce..no sauce came with it..also ordered cheese and cherry tomato melt both breads were very dry hardly any cheese and not cherry tomatoes chips poor ...overall no effort went into both meals but very good waiter got a tip for his pleasant approach will not return

I visited the woolpack today with friends, we ordered food and waited around 30 minutes despite being the only customers eating in here. I ordered the chicken & bacon sandwich on farmhouse and requested the bacon well done, when it arrived it was on burnt white toast-not farmhouse as stated, the chicken was chewy and the bacon was very lightly cooked. I would’ve mentioned this if there had been a member of staff present however we sat for around 30 minutes or longer with empty plates on the table. When a member of staff finally appeared I mentioned the problem, to which I received no apology just that they would knock it off the bill. This issue could have been easily resolved if anyone had been courteous enough to check on our meals.

5 star food and 5 star service,I ordered a child's portion as I'm not a big eater and it was huge great value for money. It tasted lovely and well presented. We will definatly return when next in the area

Such a shame I’m having to say this but there’s no running away from how bad my experience was here! Everyone on my table thought the food was terrible, the people on the next table were complaining to the waiter for a good 5 minutes and they were out of the dish I actually wanted! I ended up with some soggy but black chips in a molten hot bowl for some reason which I burnt my finger on. Yay.

Booked for 4 adults 2 children, ordered a mix of foods and soup. All really disappointing would not return.

Just moved to Yeadon and called in for tea. We ordered some chips which arrived over done and the veggie nut roast Sunday dinner. This consisted of under cooked carrots and broccoli 1 Yorkshire pudding, nut roast, mash and roast potatoes with cabbage and gravy. We also had lattes which were nice but not very hot. My son had a cocktail which he said was nice and was only £4! The staff were helpful and friendly and we were asked to give feedback on a card about our experience. On leaving we heard another table complaining about their food been badly cooked. Not sure if it was an off night?

Really enjoyed the food I had the chicken kebab on flat bread. In fact my friends did too and we all really enjoyed it. Really great service too. Just one thing bothered me. When we all entered the pub there was a strong odour of urine from the wc. We sat in a couple of seats until we found one where we could not smell it. You may want to try and sort it out Cos it’ll put folk off eating.

Reservamos una mesa para 4 adultos y 2 niños primero, tuvimos que esperar 45 minutos para que la comida tuviera que pedir toda nuestra comida como algo faltante, luego esperamos 20 minutos para el menú de postres. Solo dos miembros del personal que tratan de hacer frente, la comida de la cocina es extremadamente lenta, se necesita más personal y toda la comida para salir juntos.

Acabamos de dejar el paquete de lana y nos fuimos a otro pub. Mi esposo y yo fuimos los primeros en llegar al pub a las 12 de la tarde. Miró el menú y se veía bien. Así que nos pusimos en orden. Pidió a los filetes de pollo frito del sur que les dijeran que no tienen ninguno. Bueno, así que pedí el asado de nueces y mi marido el pollo. La manzana del desierto y la migaja se desmoronaron también. Así que nos sentamos después de hacer nuestros cambios de orden. Y esperó y esperó. Vimos como otras mesas que llegaban después de nosotros estaban comiendo. Pasaron 55 minutos cuando el camarero finalmente nos miró. Fue a la cocina para decirme que se habían quedado sin el asado de nueces, ¡pero que podía ofrecerme un falafel en su lugar! ! ! Llevábamos una hora esperando. Obtuvimos un reembolso por las comidas, pero ni siquiera un gesto para reembolsar nuestra agua y limonada. Asqueroso. Hay un montón de mejores lugares para comer alrededor de Yeadon.

Tuvimos una experiencia absolutamente horrible esperando más de una hora y media para que llegara nuestra comida, para que otra familia que llegó casi cuarenta minutos después de nosotros nos sirviera antes que nosotros. El joven camarero fue muy servicial y se esforzó al máximo, pero se hizo una mala idea. Cuando mi madre y yo hablamos con el gerente, se mostró completamente desdeñoso, por lo que, de manera grosera, todavía nos cobró por nuestro primer plato. ¡Nunca más volvería aquí de nuevo con un manejo absolutamente asqueroso!

Aunque manejamos, pasamos por The Woolpack / Woolpack Inn ubicado en New Road en Yeadon, nunca hemos tenido el almuerzo de domingo aquí.

Close to the office and popped in for a drink with colleagues. Ended up staying for something to eat which was delivered promptly and tasty.

Hi just had a great lunch at the Woolpack Inn in Yeadon. We’re all locals and really pleased with how well run it is now. We all had the Sunday lunch which was great...and the staff were really friendly. It was also a really warm atmosphere in the terrible weather. Highly recommended!

We visited here twice recently and will return. The food is excellent value for money and very good quality. The staff on both occasions were friendly and it's down to being made welcome that gets us to return in what is an area overflowing with eating establishments.

8 of us ate here. No issues with the order at all. The food was nice and very well presented. A nice pub menu. A couple of nice real ales also on offer.

We visited here first back in March, and were very satisfied with every aspect of this Pub (food, drinks,staff all ace). Sadly I have to say the then Manager got promoted to Area Manager (as I’ve been told, and well deserved) The standards have seriously gone by the wayside, got to say it’s no fault of the lads on the bar, this has to sit firmly at the feet of the new manager. This chap obviously doesn’t care and/or know how to run a pub and it’s such a shame. The place is dirty, sticky tables, build up of greasy dust behind the loo doors, windows smeared, blinds all askew, it’s just not acceptable. The food menus are unorganised and some torn/ liquid damaged. The back of the bar looked disorganised, there was a messy pile of paperwork with a dirty J-Cloth sat on one shelf, the fridges and wine not properly stocked. Asked for wine glasses the other week to be given dirty ones 3 times! I could go on but I’m sure you get the picture. This pub have massive potential, but is currently mis-managed. Now before you ask, this review is not based on a ram packed night, it’s based on 4:30 Saturday afternoon with about 10 customers. Enough said. I’m sad as I really like this place, but if something doesn’t happen soon, I fear The Woolpack will loose it’s wool and be sent packing my its customers.

Came in from a long walk around the area. Ordered the fish and chips and the fish itself was amazing but the batter and the chips we're dreadful. My missus' bangers and mash was okay she said but I doubt it was. My fathers bangers and mash, the sausages we're cheap but the mash was good. But his partner ordered the Chicken, Ham Hock and Leek Pie which he said was disgusting and that he wouldn't call that a pie. Wouldn't recommend this pub at all. Although the dog friendly sign was a welcoming sight.

I came here a few months ago and it was lovely, I had a fish sandwich with chips so today I had the same. Well it was terrible! The presentation was scruffy, the peas looked like they had come off someone else's plate and my sandwich was more like a scrap butty. I told the waitress it was better last time so she went to tell the chef who replied " it's new batter and it expands more" ? To which I replied but there was hardly any fish to start with.

Went in for a meal before the football and ordered a steak. We had to wait 50 mins for the food to come and when my steak arrives it was over cooked so had to send it back. The waitress apologised but for £15 it was a joke! Only reason for 2 stars is due to the beer selection . Won’t be eating here again!

Called in on a Wednesday and ate from the lunch deal. Food was delicious and all cooked fresh. Service however was brilliant, young guy behind the bar had great customer service skills and made our visit. Also a plus that they are dog friendly!

Called in on way back from day out!! Pleased that they were still serving food, but suggest they give up earlier like other pubs. We paid good money for meals that looked like they’d either been in the oven all day or returned by previous customers!!

Came here with my wife for an impromptu Saturday night meal. Atmosphere was friendly enough, food is best described as adequate, but in my view not quite worth the money. Nothing particularly wrong with it, just very average overall.

We had booked a table for 4 and were shown to a table for 4 next to the fire place. The problem was that the hearth sticks out and you can only get the chair out by lifting and having one leg on the hearth and the rest on the floor, so you would have to sit at a crazy angle. The young lad who had shown us to the table didn’t seem to think there was anything wrong with this, so we asked if we could have a table for four that we could all sit at. He said we could have the table next to it, and he would get it ready for us. This “getting it” ready seemed to be by asking us what we wanted to drink. No Peroni so had a Moretti. We got ourselves the cutlery, napkins and menus from the first table.

A great restaurant/bar close to the airport. Very good hosts and service staff. I ate the sausage and horseradish mash to warm up my evening. Plenty of private parking. A good selection of ales and foods to tempt your tastebuds.

Sunday dinner outing for 4 of us, called in on spec and was seated very quickly. Limited choice on menu, but something to please everyone. I had the roast turkey which was lovely apart from the overly peppered vegetables, which were still ok, but if you did not like pepper would have been an issue. My partner had the gammon and his vegetables were the same. Not a big menu in terms of choice, but what is there is lovely and clearly home made, the Yorkshire pudding and roast potatoes were delicious. Lots of choice to drink, as you would expect in a pub. Decor is lovely, nice atmosphere and lovely stafff. Plenty of parking and good outdoor seating area too. Worth a visit!

Spoiled by the loud locals, no objection to locals but not in the restaurant side. There was a large enough bar area for everyone but should not be congregating round the bar including the chef.

This used to be my local 30 years ago; it was a good local rough pub then. Decided to pop in here mid-week with my fiancee to see what the food was like. It was very quiet inside, looked like we were the only couple eating that evening. Plenty of tables to choose from. Good attention from the young waiter (apprentice I think); he was polite and gave just the right amount of attention. We had two starters - bread with dipping oil & balsamic; and mushrooms in a cheese sauce - both were excellent, especially the latter with rarebit toastie fingers. Main I had a mushroom gratin and garlic potatoes; fiancee had hunter chicken; again both tasted excellent. Service was 100%, food was 100% and value was good too. Will we go again - yes definitely; it might even become my regular again

We drive past here a lot on the way to Burley in Wharfedale & always thought it looked inviting.

'The Woolpack' is situated on the very busy A65 in Yeadon a north wertern suburb of Leeds.In the '70's we used to have an enjoyable family visit every Sunday evening always taking our poodle Sweep.We always found it warm and friendly with an excellent pint of 'Tetley's' bitter well served by 'Mine Host' one welcoming Martin Tremlett.

We pre ordered our xmas food from the xmas set menu. The food was well presented, tasted lovely and the prosecco was flowing. Great night out. Very attentive staff. Will definately book again this year.

Visited again over Christmas, met local friends but had failed to check availability of tables to dine. the staff went out of their way to fit us in and we enjoyed a good meal. Well done and thanks.

We came in December 2017 for some christmas drinks with work colleagues and i have never come across such a rude manager of a pub before. It was a very cold evening and the door was left open and a lady shut it. The manager then began shouting at the lady that he was too warm and to leave the door open. I then asked him if he spoke to all his customers in that manner and when i also asked who the manager was his reply was i am and i dont have anyone above me. My other half works in the industry and is currently waiting to hear back from the area manager where a complaint will be going in. Very very rude man!!

We spent the evening in the Woolpack on New Year's Eve with some friends. It was a great atmosphere. We were looked after by Josh with our drinks. There was a band on and free buffet. Great night,. Thank you Danny for your hard work not only on New Year's Eve but the rest of the year too.

Lovely bar, great atmosphere. We booked a family meal for tea time on New Years Day but the food was so disappointing. My husbands meal was cold and was sent back, it didn’t reappear for another half an hour by which time he was no longer hungry. I ordered steak and ale pie. The pastry, was not a pastry I had ever seen before, it was pale and floury, a poor attempt at shortcrust but that is a guess. I reordered a tart which I was told was filo. When it arrived it was actually raw puff pastry not filo. It was sent back again, by which time the evening was ruined. The manager came down to sort out out complaint which was appreciated as my husband was extremely unhappy. He took or comments on board and resolved the situation but we would have rather had a decent meal. Shame as it is a beautiful pub with great potential.

What a fantastic evening we had last night as a family at the Woolpack pub. We were looked after by the amazing Josh and our food was cooked by Danny the proprietor. It was amazing just like home cooking. My family had come over from Spain so this was our get together before they went back. I couldn’t have made a better meal if I had cooked it myself in fact it probably would not have been as good

We were booked in for festive meal and were asked to make selections from the festive menu in advance. I, being a cheese enthusiast, choose melted camembert as my starter and cheese and biscuits for the last course. Starter was very good the beef shoulder was well cooked if but contained a lot of grisel. When the cheese and biscuits came I was presented with a small piece of blue cheese and 2 quarters of a camembert. I spoke to the waiter and he disappeared into the kitchen only to return with the same 3 pieces of cheese and informed me they had run out of cheddar. In view of the fact that we had pre ordered the meal I was astounded that they were unable to ensure that they had enough variety of cheese to present an acceptable cheese and biscuits.

Impromptu family dinner out this evening. Food was amazing, fresh ingredients and tasty. We had steaks and chicken dishes, steak was cooked to perfection. Kids meals were large portions and tasty. Great selection of wines and hand pulled bitter. We will definitely be visiting again. Staff for brilliant and attentive. Super!

We called in by accident...well, there was a big queue of traffic outside so we thought we might as well go in. We've driven by a million times. This was our first visit.

We visited on a Sunday when they offer a roast dinner menu, three choices of starters, choice of meets for your main and choice of three desserts. We each had a different starter which were poor value, a small bowel of soup, which we believe was homemade, served with sliced white bread and no butter was nearly £6. The bread and oil, a smudge of balsamic vinegar swimming a large bowl of olive oil, and two small chunks of rustic bread was £3. The prawn and salmon starter was better quality for £7. The Roast dinner mains were, very good though priced at the high end of around £12. All three meets tried were nice and the portions were huge. Though why when you eat out is there never enough gravy? The service was OK, the young staff were attentive, polite and seemed to be trying to keep busy, however the whole operation lacked the professionalism. We had to ask what the soup was, there was no order read back, which unfortunately my partners main meal was left off the order (his meal arrived ten minutes later than ours glowing from the microwave), no check back and we firstly got the wrong bill having asked for ours twice. This place, if it spend more time training its staff, employed an experienced manager to watch over the young staff it could be a delightful place to dine. The location is great and sat on the busy A64. The decor is nice, stylish and modern. It is clean warm and inviting and the food is of good standard. Would we go back and try again? Yes we probably would and will.

We've visited the Woolpack from work both for drinks and food and it's a nice little pub. The chicken parmesan tenders were enjoyable and the chicken pie was really moreish. It has a nice feel and the food is reasonably priced. It's missing something to be a 5/5 but it's well worth a visit.

We had a fabulous meal - 8 oz sirloin steak with all the trimmings.

Good service, great atmosphere. BUT. The food was very disappointing. The beef rib was fatty, veg was cold. Far too much butter on the plate ( it was swimming) . Not enjoyable at all. We complained and they took the beef off the menu and gave us an Irish coffee which was lovely. However the night was spoiled by badly prepared food which was down to the chef. The young man serving was lovely but the chef needs replacing.

Fantastic food and fantastic service I would really recommend this pub for its food and atmosphere Just like home cooking .....or in my case better🙈🙈 Thanks to the team for looking after us so well😊👍

Went for our friends birthday. 3 of us had Prawn & Smoke Salmon Cocktail. So much. Excellent portion. So fresh. Lovely food. The other friend had Muscles. He said they were fantastic. I had Chicken Ham Hock and Leek Pie with Sweet Potato Chips Peas. Big pieces of meat and chicken. The sauce inside was lovely. My husband had BBQ Chicken. A big role of chicken covered in BBQ sauce with chips. Tasty was my husbands words my friend got Beef Rib Mash Green Beans & Red Cabbage. Plenty however, it was served in a dish. Not easy to cut would be better on a plate. Her husband got Chicken Ham Salad with a side of chips. Again in a dish and not easy to eat. The food was all amazing. We had 5 1/2 pints of large. 3 Bulmers 4 large Red Wines. Double Bacardi & Coke. Expresso Coffee. Irish Coffee a Tea. Total bill £114. Excellent service. The young lad serving could not do enough to help. The only downside was the fire bell went off. No one knew what to do. Eventually they asked us to leave but nobody had any idea how to turn it off. The pub is lovely and clean as were the toilets. Thank you for an enjoyable evening b

Came in after visiting the area due to work purposes,

Popped in hoping to have late lunch but they had just stopped serving,which was a shame because we liked the atmosphere .we were visitors to the area flying from Leeds airport the next morning,so just managed a quick drink,but it's a nice pub,looks very inviting fro the outside and nice decor inside

We visited here three years ago prior to flying from the airport the next day and enjoyed the ambience so decided to go there again. We were certainly not disappointed! Our waiter, Josh, was very friendly and attentive. We all decided to have the steak and ale pie with chips and non of us were disappointed with our choice. The meat was tender and succulent and the chips were home made which is something you don't find a lot of these days. I am not a pie person whatsoever but I can't stop thinking about it!

Very nice and friendly staff this was the first time I’ve been back in since it reopened and it’s lovely very nice food and good service would recommend this and it’s just down the road from the airport

I have to give Danny and the team a huge well done. Since he took over he’s recreated a proper pub with a fantastic atmosphere and consistent service.The new menu is excellent and his attention to customer service is second to none. We cannot fault him and the team, well worth a visit

First visit to The Woolpack, pleasant decoration and staff. Good selection of beers on draft and bottled.

We had a wonderful lunch for my husbands birthday Sunday lunch was fabulous the staff and service first class it's small and intimate and we all loved it well done to Danny and his team will come back it was lovely .

The title says it all. Staff were quite happy to keep serving an ale that was long past it's best, obviously cloudy and tasteless. When I took it back there was no more pale ales so got a half pint bottle of weaker ale that was actually more expensive (work that out!). Then told that 'Timothy Taylor's landlord' was now on so glady ordered a pint. Not cloudy, well pulled but, after a quick glance and one sip, realised there was no way this amber, nutty ale was the pale, hoppy ale I ordered. Gave up and left.

Nice little pub, great selection of gins and some nice ales too. I will probably go here one or twice a week. Haven't eaten food yet so can't comment on that. Very clean and staff are nice. Service can be a bit slow at times but I think that's because everyone orders cocktails or gin...

We hadn't been for a while, since the refit. There are a couple of really excellent places to eat now, so its hard to try different.

First time visit to the pub, excellent Sunday lunch, very tasty and well presented. Service and welcome was excellent. Nice real ale to!

Aparecimos aquí para un almuerzo rápido, hoy, al no haber sido nunca antes y quedamos muy satisfechos.

Familia reunión para una comida ligera al ser vegetariano, compruebe siempre si hay algo que podía comer, desafortunadamente sólo había dos elementos tanto de que no gusta especialmente, aunque la ensalada puede haber sido la mejor opción.

Second visit here. The first a few months ago was very positive but somethings obviously gone wrong. Couldn't care less service and what can only be described as awful food. Will be some time before we come again if at all.

Un bonito pub moderno, un montón de espacio y una decoración bonita. Almuerzo menú limitado, que es muy pequeña en comparación con la versión en línea. El personal era amable, pero en ninguna prisa para cuidar de los huéspedes. A pesar dando opciones de variación cuando ordene i. e. Tipos de guisantes, patatas fritas, etc., todas las comidas llegaron exactamente el mismo, así que no era realmente cualquier punto de darnos opciones. He revisado este pub para comida hace unos años. Fue una mala crítica pero el Woolpack está ahora bajo nueva dirección. He estado un par de veces y la comida es excelente. Cualquier comentario que escribió en el pasado por el Woolpack en Yeadon Leeds es nula y sin valor. Este lugar es ahora un maravilloso restaurante.

Después de la reciente renovación, decidimos comer aquí para la cena, pero al final fuimos para el almuerzo. Quizás había 10 personas y nos dijeron que había un retraso de unos 20 minutos para la comida. Bueno avanzado aviso de una larga espera, supongo. Mi elección de "arranque" no fue compartido se ofrece hoy, me dijeron. Así que me fui para el bocadillo de palitos de pescado, que era muy agradable. Mi mujer pidió el pastel de carne con cerveza. Cuando llegó fue quemado en el interior, así que volvimos y otra "versión superficial" llegó cuatro minutos más tarde. Que también fue quemada, seca con muy poco de la "Ale" salsa es reportan. El fondo de pastelería, estaba pasada y poco hecha, como normalmente es ponerla en pastelería, pero la parte superior de pastelería de hojaldre fue quemada! ! ! Para una comida de 10 libras, esto era malo por cualquier estándar. Greggs hubiera sido mejor, y ofreció un ahorro de £9. No estoy seguro de cuánto tiempo tendríamos que esperar si estaba ocupado, quizás tienen un chef que puede trabajar el turno de noche cocinar. No volver en cualquier momento pronto, bien por el plato de tarta no. No soy un enano, pero las patatas fritas eran buenos, pero entonces no pagar 10 euros por las patatas y la salsa. Cuando pague, la camarera nos preguntó si habíamos disfrutado de la comida, cuando le dije sobre la muy decepcionante pastel, ella dijo que me arrepiento de eso. Oportunidad perdida.

Comida cruda y fría rosa en medio de la hamburguesa. Servicio de basura. El lugar es manejado por chicas. El personal necesita capacitación en el servicio al cliente. El pub en sí es bonito, pero sin duda no volveré. Lástima
