Bridgewater Arms in Leeds

I used to come here quite often starting in 2023 but now I come less and less. Since starting it seems that the staff dont seem to care or the landlord isnt creating a teamwork environment. A lot of the times I now go and it seems that im waiting longer and longer to be served. A lot of the times the food wait times increase as they seem to schedule less and less people. They also don’t actually adhere to what theyre advertising. If youre selling hot food I would assume this should come out hot as opposed to cold. The events they used to host such as the quiz was cancelled unexpectedly but now they seem to ask what we want instead but a lot of customers state they want the quiz to return.

The food was disgusting not fresh at all looked and tasted like it came from the toilet !!! Made me and my kids feel sick afterwards. The severe were impolite !!

Great atmosphere and wonderful staff. Went for a couple drinks with friends and were nice and cheap. Sophie and Jordan were very nice, Served us and made sure we were looked after and had a great time.

I went to the bridge water Arms today 06/04/2024 with my husband,son,sister and nephew for his birthday. The bar member of staff was useless. She couldn't get the drinks order or food correct. Half the table got food the other half didn't as the server didn't add half the order. When the food order was put in again she still managed to put the wrong burger In. Then we had to pay extra to get the burger we originally ordered. By the time the correct burger arrived everyone else had finished eating. I am disgusted with this service. When I complained I was ordered two free desert even though there were 5 of us.also the toilet were disgusting and didn't have working locks on the doors.

Went for dinner with the family, first of all drinks are extortionately priced!! Tables was dirty had to ask to get cleaned, ordered food, after 40 mins it comes in bags to be taken out which was like why, when I stated table number and wasn’t even asked if eating in or out!, I said we was eating in and apologised, which is fine, but the food then was dry, and tasteless which would not help being bagged up, this place was nice when first opened but now, the staff, chef and food has dropped in quality by ALOT!! Would not recommend now at all

Attended for a birthday, staff was brilliant and helpful! Had a great meal. Atmosphere was just right for our busy group! Will be coming back.

Served and looked after by Jordan what a star she is - food was lovely ! We had burgers, fish and chips and chicken strips cheap and cheerful

Excellent service, plenty of choice. Nice food plates. Staff were friendly, service was quick and great. Highly recommend. Nice atmosphere available, loads of seating arrangements. Suitable for kids especially with a children’s menu.

Poor service waited ages for our food people on same table got theirs and still I wait10 mins and still no food cancelled order and left

Food was good,a little wait but it was Sunday afternoon. Food was hot and full table arrived together. Staff were very friendly and apologetic when barrel ran out but brought to table once sorted, good banter when 2nd barrel went. Very good ladies, good at their job.

Tasty lunch with the family, good choices for children and great steak or burgers for the adults. Good friendly service.

Absolute joke booked in for 5.30 pm arrived on time and someone was in our seat had to be moved then told an hour and twenty minuets wait definitely won’t be back

Meal was quite good. Service from Aimee was pleasant. Overall, dirty windows and doors. Found many dirty marks on menu's. But overall not bad.

Went with a friend just for a drink came with nandos but was wrapped up in a bag to take home soon as I stepped foot inside a girl behind the bar with red hair says we’re not serving food today and your gonna have to eat that outside! I was so shocked I said we’re not eating it it’s to take home it was for a relative who couldn’t leave the house then her reply was I was only saying actually! She was so rude the rudest person I’ve ever come across. I could understand if I was sat eating the Nando’s but it was as soon as I walked in I only wanted to grab a drink her attitude was very poor! Then to top it off all the other people who was at the bar was ordering food straight away there is nothing wrong with taking something else in if it’s wrapped up in a bag I was still a paying customer for a drink. I was very close to saying something there and then very lucky I didn’t

There’s literally nothing good about this place. Really poor service and some of the food was inedible. The stake was so tough. After the end of the meal I asked for it to be refunded. They refused that but offered to cook me another Dinner plates were left on the table while we had desert. Drinks took over half an hour to arrive. Just hopeless.

Brilliant service from the staff today, the lad behind the bar was friendly and the girl brining our food out was lovely too. Ordered the xl mixed grill and it was massive steak was cooked perfectly

Decent enough food. Food and plates cutlery etc clean and the steak I usually order is tasty and cooked to perfection. Being a coffee lover I like a coffee after my meal but their coffee machine is NEVER working plus they always say they have no milk. I mean no milk for a restaurant like this!!! Fix your coffee machine and order some milk...great! Apart from the coffee machine I would have given 5 star...silly of me really but I like to sit and relax with my favourite cappuccino!

Horrible customer service! Bar staff appeared dismissive towards my partner and I. They served other people, who arrived 10 mins after us! Not professional and lack interpersonal & behavioural skills! Shocking!

I loved logan’s service the mixed grill was so yummmy i thought he was sat with me at the table because he was so nice, i loved every minute of him being with me and even gave him a quid for the arcade next door.

Came in after work for an easy meal, the service was genuinely fantastic! So friendly and hospitable, Aimee and Tom were both super attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Relaxing comfortable bar/restaurant on a modern shopping entertainment site. A nice change from the old style pub. Prices are reasonable.

Decent quality food at reasonable prices. Good service, steak pie is a must! We were told half an hour wait for food, but it was much quicker.

Went for food and was told 1hour wait, was 1hr25minutes with no intentions of being served as we were told there was 5 other tables waiting to be served before us. The service was shocking and we didnt get any compensation for our time and was told our refund would also take 3-5 days to come back through not happy, after a long shift working for the NHS we fancied a nice quick meal however it was clearly a wasted trip - and to add to this the pub wasn’t even busy!!

Food took about an hour to get to us (ordered at 3 mins past and we got it almost exactly on the next hour), the mixed grill we ordered was flat cold, the fried onions looked like they hadn't been cooked and the rest of our order was definitely not worth the wait either. Wouldn't have minded if the restaurant was actually busy but there were only around 1/3rd of the tables occupied. Service staff were actually really nice though. I would like to discuss a refund for our order though, I was absolutely not impressed with this place (order #9979)

Christmas day ! Was disspionting got taken to wrong table. Waiting long time for service .had to ask for table to be cleared just left us . Long times waiting in between courses . Wont be booking again

This has to be the worst microwaved food I have ever eaten. The Lasagne was so overcooked that the pasta was unchewable on the outside and the beef was fused to it. The middle was claggy, overcooked and no moisture. The garlic bread was the high point but it needed the lasagne wetness to be truly OK. The salad was just weird. Just give me a normal salad. Cold roast veg was unpleasant. Mixed grill was reasonable but the peas were over microwaved so much as to be inedible. They weren't even green. This is basic stuff. We were asked if we would want replacement food. Absolutely not. No faith in whoever was in the kitchen and more time wasted waiting would be pointless. The staff hadn't even cleaned the table before we ate. We tried 3 to 4 times to eat here and it is consistently filthy and wobbly tables. Most food items are unavailable. We excused it as busy. Now paying for food that is inedible on a quiet night. No thought of giving us a discount. We walked out with the food uneaten. It felt convenient but I think I am giving up now. Pizza hut opposite is clean, edible food and quick.

Where do I start so me and my husband came for lunch we have used this greene king before on numerous occasions and it's always hit and miss the minute you walk in its very gloomy so on this occasion we ordered flaming bbq meat platter at 24.99 this is one of the most expensive items on the menu we waited over 30 minutes for our food the pub wasn't busy and when the food came to our table everything was luke warm the mac and cheese looked awful we complained the lady returned to the kitchen 1 minute later out she came with mac and cheese that had been put in the microwave to heat back up items was also missing of the plate corn on the cob been one we opted for a refund I couldn't bare a second longer in there I was losing the world to live place could do with a tidy cutlery dirty leaking roof which know one was aware of that was dripping water everywhere onto a table I really have just given up hope with this place when your paying for a service you expect the food to be right mistakes are made granted but out of the times I have been there the bad outweigh the good chicken wings are probably the best item on the menu always piping hot and lovely the rest not so major improvements needed with your kitchen staff and cleaners .

Great food for the price and very affordable. I strongly recommend having a look here for dinner. However the atmosphere could be a little better as hygiene isn't a huge priority(e.g sticky tables etc).

We attended for the Santa's breakfast, had an amazing time all the staff made it very magical for the children, Beth especially always goes out of her way to make us comfortable! Great day thankyou so much ❤️

BAD MANAGEMENT On Wednesday, I try to call them to book a festive meal on Saturday - but no answer. I tried again on Thursday and again on Friday. On Friday at 11am they finally answered the phone. The person who answered didn't really seem to know how phones worked and which end to speak into, as she was not really bothered about speaking to me. I asked to book for the festive meal & she said "oh you need to give 24 hours notice". I explained that it was for tomorrow afternoon (ie: over 24 hours). She said that she didn't know and would ask the Manager and call me back "IF she had time". Of course she didn't bother to call me back, so I had to look for somewhere better to eat last minute. Its just a courtesy to call someone back, when they are wanting to make a £150 booking. I won't bother with the pub again, they don't answer the phone or care about customers, so why would the food be any good?

Brilliant food pub in the middle of all the family attractions and cinema !!!

We booked for 33 settings for our elders. Our second visit this year. All enjoyed the food. The food was staggered in service which meant all meals were not enjoyed together. Lots of choice and the deals of 2 meals for £11.99 is good value. Staff were helpful and polite. Disappointed they had no milk for hot drinks. Family friendly and accessible venue.

Attend here regularly for the Thursday quiz. Whilst my last review was not a good one this time it seems items raised have been addressed. The food was good and the staff were very friendly. Beth was really kind and clearly passionate about great customer service. Thank you. As always Sam(quiz host) did a great job with the quiz.

What an appalling experience we used to come here for the quiz regularly but last time we came they ran out of food! Tonight they couldn’t keep up with the food orders and when they were able to catch up they stopped at 8 - when the quiz is until 10 you would expect and extended service. What a joke. Looks like it’s a trip to Taco Bell!!

I visited the Bridgewater Arms on Friday 1st December 2023 with a friend,we arrived around 2pm,the atmosphere was very relaxed and we were able to enjoy our food and chat in the calm environment,the food was received in very good time and it was very enjoyable,the prices were very reasonable,there was a young girl wearing glasses (didn't get her name)who was taking our orders,her customer service skills were excellent,very polite,very welcoming,very friendly. I would definitely recommend and I will be returning 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Mass Market but done well. Staff v friendly and accommodating. Ideal place to take the family after bowling/ flicks etc.

Lovely experience staff are friendly and the food is amazing. I enjoyed my lasagna and garlic bread and my natchose and also my pudding, the service was spot-on and I would visit this place again. It's usually really nice, but not this time. The food was overcooked and dry. The service was great from 2 members of staff but the others made us feel unwelcome. Will give it a miss from now on. Maybe try again in a few months.

Called in here for lunch after shopping today. Food was really easy to order through the app and arrived promptly to the table meaning it was lovely and warm. We all had different dishes and no one was disappointed. The staff are all really friendly and helpful too.
