The Comodor in Woking

As a pizza enthusiast (snob), I was really looking forward to trying this place. Unfortunately, they create generic, English style pizzas. It felt like the bases were pre made, with no rise or authentic neopolitan style fluffiness in the crusts. In all honesty, they tasted like frozen pizzas. Too much cheese, which tasted like cheddar/mozzarella mix and average toppings with little flavour. Reasonable pricing. The service makes up for it, but not a pizza I enjoyed. The rest of the group loved theirs, though, so it depends what your expectations are.

Awful ordered a take away asked to have no onions in my chilli con carne which in the description didn’t even mention onions it was full of them phoned restaurant for a refund they refused and was so rude! Do not order from here!!

Absolutely wonderful restaurant! I recently had my birthday party there, and it was the perfect choice with 10 of my friends. The food is of such amazing quality and taste, and despite being a vegetarian, there are always plenty of delicious options. Special mention to our waiter, Amran, who was so accommodating and offered to put our candles on the cake, light them for us, and bring us plates and forks to eat it with. I love this restaurant, thank you for making my birthday so awesome!

A wonderful evening for my 50th birthday with my family. So warm and welcoming- and top notch food and service. We also get take aways and always superb food. Live music was a lovely addition and we danced off some of the delicious food!

Nice friendly service and very quick! The waitress was kind and helpful! Didn’t rush us and made sure we had everything! The pizzas are delicious! The atmosphere is great! Me and my friend went on Sunday and will always be more quiet that a Saturday which was nice. It definitely one of my favourite restaurants in my area. I really recommend this restaurant!

We've been coming to the Comodor for at least 15 years. The food is always good and fresh and the welcome very warm. We love the live music especially Lee , who makes the whole evening special and great fun. This is not a pretentious place, honest value , you will not be disappointed!!!

Had a meal with the family celebrating my granddaughter's 15 birthday. There was 17 of us at the reasturant.It was great service and excellent food.

Whether it's for a birthday, our anniversary or Valentine's Day (this time the day after Valentine's Day 💘) we always choose to have our reservation for 6-7pm knowing that is generally the quietest time as due to its popularity can become very busy... Us older folk still enjoy a meal out from time to time but not in an overcrowded loud atmosphere....which I hasten to add we have never experienced here.

Just had a meal at the Comodor. It was amazing and the staff were excellent. Atmosphere is really good.

Excellent calamari starter followed by delicious tagliatelle bolognaise. Nice wine to accompany the food. Service very friendly and efficient. Going back very soon.

The interior of the Comodor in Byfleet village, leaves a lot to be desired rather dark and dingy. The service is pleasant. There is an extensive menu. Main courses are fine but the starters are very expensive vastly overpriced. Not sure we would return here

Very nice and friendly owner and staff.

Calamari rings were the consistency of gnocchi, and served with a few leaves of lettuce. The quality of the food gave me kebab shop vibes. The pizza, just like the calamari, was very obviously not fresh and probably came out of the freezer straight into a microwave or oven. The prices are on the higher end considering the quality of the food. Really shame, as the restaurant itself looks quite nice inside.

The food is quiet good and the staff are quiet attentive. Overall good value for money.

We celebrated an 18th birthday with family here and everybody enjoyed their meals. The dough balls deserve a special mention...they are delicious! The staff couldn't have been any nicer, letting us pop in early to add some decorations to the table and they also happily allowed us to bring our own cake. The price was very reasonable for a party of 12. We will definitely be visiting again.

Fabulous food served by friendly and helpful staff. The restaurant has a welcoming and stylish feel to it. A lovely restaurant to celebrate an occasion or to have a quiet meal out.

The Comodor which is in Oyster Lane is a restaurant the is rather dated and tired< it has little character and lacks any atmosphere. The food is fine but we thought the starters were expensive, Excellent service. I understand there is live music here sometimes at the weekend.

Amazing pizza as always, but shocked that I've just spent £27 for two pizzas and a portion of chips. Sorry Comodor, that's the last takeaway I will ever be ordering from you !

Service was really good but the food is not great. I mean the saute potatoes are brought in. definitely from Bidfood or Brakes. Can't understand why they are not homemade. Also pasta carbonara was just double cream. Won't be going back

I ate here recently with my partner. The food is very ordinary with small portions. Avoid the cocktails unless you like your cocktails served like you'd get in a Yates' Wine Lodge, truly awful.

Good atmosphere, busy restaurant with great live entertainment which was a great touch. He played some great tunes. The food was fine; but not fine dining but perfectly good. The starters were lovely and our group ahead a mix of crab claws, whitebait, chicken wings and dough balls. The mains felt disappointing - the paella was bland, not a proper paella but an imitation - plate of long grain rice with small amount of chicken, 3 muscles and frozen small prawns; edible but not lacked flavour. Others mains looked nice enough and were tasty apparently. Desserts are bought in, home made would gave made such a difference. Overall we had a pleasant evening but not blown away by the food.

So I ate here and I asked for a caprese salad for starter, which is traditionally tomato and mozzarella layered with a balsamic dressing basil and olive oil... What I got: three tiny bits of mozzarella and a plate of lettuce with two bits of tomato, sweetcorn, pickled cabbage, olives, and French dressing!! ☹️ I ordered Vegetable paella and I got microwave rice (you know those long skinny grains with plastic texture) and broccoli with asparagus, sweetcorn and peas mixed in with some kind of tomato sauce. 🤢 My food experience at this restaurant was awfully disappointing. 😔

This is basically a nice restaurant serving tasty food with pleasant service. However it does lack atmosphere and considered the starters were expensive. Except Fridays and weekends it is not open lunch time..

A good choice on the menu. I have dined here previously before the lockdown and since then the starter prices have increased considerably and are no longer excellent value. The food is served hot and is tasty. Very pleasant service. Ensure you dine in the main restaurant area and not in the front area as it gets very cold in the winter months, we will visit again .

I had a lovely time with friends, the staff were lovely and the food was delicious. The singer was very good and entertaining, very talented. Going again with more friends soon.

Delivered spot on time to our Hilton Hotel. Excellent sea bass, perfectly cooked, along with a delicious Pasta. Good quality house wine.

Arrived in good time food was ok but the portions where very small. I have eaten in this restaurant and the pizza was 1/3 the size you get in the restaurant it was only 20cm the delivery boxes were small the calzones were smaller to. Disappointing.

Ordered a delivery on easter sunday evening and was received spot on time. Everything was cooked perfectly especially the lasagne and spaghetti bolognese. Well done Pizza Comodor and we will visit you again when allowed.

First time I’ve ever used this restaurant and OMG where do I start. It’s a shame that we could only have a takeaway, can’t wait to be able to sit inside for a meal. You walked into the restaurant and the smell of food was lovely. The food was amazing and can’t wait to get another takeaway from here. Staff lovely and friendly, food piping hot. It’s a must restaurant to use.

Food was delicious - between the family we had a mix of starters and mains and everything was amazing! The garlic mushrooms were divine and everything looked and tasted freshly made. Service was great, prices were reasonable and portion sizes were generous. Lots of veggie options to choose from and gluten free pizza bases available too. Would definitely recommend and will be ordering from here again (probably very soon!)

We ordered a lovely takeaway last Thursday. Fantastic service food was hot freshly cooked very tasty and plenty of it. The Pizza's were delicious and the calzone was to die for and the chegga balls went down a treat! We had ordered for four adults and there was more than enough. We have eaten in the restaurant pre-covid and always had a great meal and the takeaway was lovely friendly quick service you won't be disappoint and we will definitely be back! My partner and I tried this place as our hotel we were staying at was too pricey. Without a doubt it was just what we were looking for. I had a vegetarian pasta dish that I have never seen before and my partner had the sea bass . Both of us were very impressed with our meals. The portions were plenty and at such reasonable prices too which made for excellent value. The range of desserts was unbelievable. I dont normally see so many on offer in restaurants. We chose sticky toffee pudding and chocolate fudge. Again the food was delicious and sweet. We really enjoyed our visit to this charming little Italian. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Wish there were more places like this. Worth a visit. Will definitely return if we are in the area.

The best restaurant that I ever been with a great atmosphere and excellent food and service. Very kind and attentive staff, variety of different tasty foods and clearness throughout including with free WIFI. Live music on Fridays & Saturdays is the icing on the cake. Highly recommended.

Tara and her Team always manage to turn it on for us. Great service, excellent value. They stick to the knitting and do what they do consistently well.

Been coming to Comodor for years. Always friendly staff, very nice food and lovely atmosphere with live music on certain days (and menu is not over priced). For those whom never been there before, it's definitely worth a visit :)

Great night great food and the singer was great

We have all just enjoyed a brilliant evening at the Comodor. The atmosphere was buzzing. The food, Carbonara, Lasagne and Paella was very good as were the varied starters. The service and staff very friendly and helpful. Lets not forget the live music, everyone singing along and dancing. A place to go.

Great food and good choices. Went with very good friends, not our first trip, and we all had something different but all were very tasty and enjoyed with a bottle of wine. Quiet atmosphere and good staff helped to make it an enjoyable evening. We shall certainly return.

Have always had a nice meal here when I have visited. Occasional live music as well, although is fairly small and can get quite loud when busy with large parties, but wouldn't let that put you off.

Pizza Comodor, Byfleet. Lovely place to eat and always made to feel welcome. Good atmosphere when live music is on. Went here for my wife’s 40th birthday with family and had a great night. Irish Coffee’s are good.

Price increases and smaller size portions of pasta meals. Not what it used to be.

This happens to be our local restaurant having recently moved to Byfleet. Consistently good with friendly staff. Simply love coming here.

Loud and rubbish singer, awful food! Truly the worst and smallest pizza ever. Don’t even consider the paella. Atmosphere was good due to Christmas parties. Other than that not much here to recommend.

Incredibly noisy impossible to hold a conversion across the table, needs some soft furnishings to dull the ambiant noise. Good service, food and reasonable priced.
