The food is good value, sadly my visit was spoilt by a couple of groups being very noisy & no consideration for other people wanting to enjoy an evening meal and drink. It would have been nice for the management to act accordingly.

Lovely little pub in the heart of Sowerby Bridge. I'll always recommend this place, can't beat the value for money. The staff are lovely, the atmosphere is welcoming and inclusive. I'll be back!

Yeh you know the standard Wetherspoons deal. Cheaper than chips. Great service. No music. Great food offering but not exactly gourmet. Still love it though. You know what you're getting and they rarely fail to deliver.

We ordered 2 breakfast wraps which we’re definitely freshly cook yet just Luke warm to eat? Totally spoiled the flavour and we only ate half. We didn’t so much complain but how can you they get it so wrong? Fresh but cold food? Waitress did offer us another one but we didn’t have time as we had an appointment booked. Really dissatisfied.

Today I ordered a freedom breakfast (a bargain at £2.25) and an accompanying orange drink. My order was pleasantly taken and my meal was with me within ten minutes and was nicely presented and tasted fine. This is a modern pub which although not big, was clean inside and is surrounded by glass windows. Parking is not plentiful in the area, but it's a welcome addition to the neighbourhood. Thank-you.

This is one of the best Spoonz that I have visited, the food and service was spot on. Highly recommend this pub if you are in the area.

Went here for lunch with 2 other people today. It was busy but not crowded. Ordered a small brunch fish and chips and a halumi wrap. We were told no fish so changed that to scampi. The meal came quite quickly but my wrap had suddenly become a bowl of chips. I pointed it out and the waitress apologized and said it would be a few minutes. Half an hour later, still no wrap. I went to get another coffee, by the way all around the drinks machine was messy and dirty, and when I got back my wrap was on the table. It usually contains lettuce and cucumber and tomato with the cheese, is cut in half with a skewer through it. This had been barely wrapped, just had 3 lettuce leaves and some chilli sauce and was cold. I had waited so long I just ate it. Never again.

We meet every morning after school run for coffee and breakfast the atmosphere is great and staff are friendly 👌

Very friendly staff fast service plates warm for food . The unlimited hot drinks is unbeatable value, the beer prices are cheaper here than the one in Halifax for some reason, and bigger selection of real ale too

It's a standard wetherspoons pub, but with a really poor selection of real ale.

Standard fare for a Wetherspoons...And liked the large windows at the front so you can have a beer and watch the world go by!...Quite busy (on father's day) but still served quickly with the friendly staff... quite like the quieter area round the back of the bar when eating.....called in a good few times now. One of the better 'spoonz' in the area!

Meals for as little as £5 including drinks. This is my local one and one of the smaller ones but you know what you get here. Never a week goes by that I don't pay a visit. Come in Tim give me shares! Downsides You need to address the scourge of indoor vaping here, it's becoming an epidemic. At times tables are left for a long time without being cleared. I've found myself having to clear a table for myself. Not hygienic. The measures on some drinks could draw the unwanted attention of Weights and Measures

The pub is ok but they need to address the measurements on certain fortified wine I imagine a few people have been paying too much an getting very little back

Ordered a large breakfast which was ment to come with 2 eggs only got one after mentioning it to staff manager came over to say sorry which is fine but then after finishing my breakfast a waitress turned up with the other egg amd said sorry for your wait I tried explaining that I had finished but she just walked off also how you can burn toast but it still be bread on one side is beyond me

Father's Day treat? Not exactly. The meal was cheap-ish, but given the quality, it felt overpriced. The chips were undercooked with an odd smell and taste—almost chemical. They were inedible. The BBQ chicken breast was a disappointment: an overcooked piece of chicken with BBQ sauce poured over it, not marinated or seasoned. It came with overcooked vegetables. BBQ sauce with soggy veg? yuk.beans, chips, and corn please. Not appealing at all. The pub had no music, and everyone was on their phones. I had to listen to five different people watching TikTok videos at full volume. The staff didn't care, or the chef—or whoever was cooking that day, perhaps the cleaner—didn't care either. I won't be going to Wetherspoons here again.

Me and Christina went here for breakfast as we wanted something to eat but it was cold and Christina's mushroom was raw and no sausage but we were hungry so did eat it and didn't complain

Food was tasty and well prepared. Prices are great as all Wetherspoons are.

This was my second attempt of ticking off a new spoons. First time I tried it was closed for the day. Easy to find with the train station less than a 10 minute walk away. There's also a small car park across the road and also free roadside parking close by. I had a very good pale ale for £1.99. Quite busy on a Friday afternoon despite the unpredictable weather. Plenty of small spaces if you want privacy.

We nipped in at the start of a long walk. As I approached the bar the barman said to a local who was buying wine at 10am on a Saturday ‘who are this lot?’ To which the local said ‘walkers!’ And the barman tutted and walked off. Then a ‘waitress’ walked up and said ‘what?’ And I said ‘oh.. can I get a breakfast please? And she said ‘which one?’ And I foolishly didn’t know the menu and she rolled her eyes and tutted. I then looked at the menu and. Picked the traditional breakfast and a coffee. The coffee machine didn’t work. The food came and was cold. But. Suddenly everyone was friendly again. So maybe it was a bad moment. The clientele was interesting. I will never. Ever. Go back.

We had food here earlier in the week, they brought out a pizza which was burnt to a crisp, I took this back myself and asked for it to be changed, I wouldn't mind but it was the manger that actually served it to us, they dropped the chicken strips on the floor and had to cook some more. The order wasn't put in correctly when my husband ordered it and so the drinks which he had asked to be up graded for an extra 20p each to a pint size didn't get done, when my husband pointed this out the lad taking the prder did try to rectify it but couldn't, the team leader came across and was extremely rude to my husband and started to talk over him, he tried to shush her and she didnt like that and so it ended up in an argument that could have been avoided. We were given 2 free drinks when he went to the bar to get some more. The chips were like eating cardboard....would definitely not eat here again. Your staff need to be taught some customer service.

Good service from the staff. Maybe we popped in on the wrong day as the food was absolutely awful. Veggie curry was bland, the popadoms were coated in oil and stale, but the naan - omg it was disgusting. Stale, hard like it had been microwaved! Some very odd people in there too. Safe to say we won’t return.

Food same as usual. However impressed with young lad who put bottle of wine in an ice bucket.

We came to the Commercial thinking at least you know what you're getting with a Wetherspoons and the drinks are cheap. My husband's £2 pint was the best thing about our food and drink but thankfully our friends' company superseded the setting. The food menus were all dirty and needed a good clean. Food and drinks were served quickly after ordering using the QR code. My pasta tasted ok but half way through I discovered a human hair which was clearly not mine as it was twirled around some of the food half way into the dish. To be honest it did look like a pubic hair and made our group feel pretty uncomfortable. I told the waiting staff about it. They just told me that it wasn't their kitchen staff's fault as they'll have just opened a packet of the food. No replacement food, no comp off the bill, no nothing. I'm in catering and retail myself and understand that sometimes mistakes happen and imperfections are inevitable but at least have the customer service in place to deal with it well. Together with the dirty menus I wouldn't go back here as I don't have any trust in either their food hygiene or management systems.

As a former manager of a hospitality establishment, I am appalled by the horrific experience I had at this establishment. This place is an absolute disaster and should be avoided at all costs. Firstly, walking into the establishment, I was immediately struck by the overwhelming filth and lack of cleanliness. The floors looked like they hadn't been mopped in weeks, and don't even get me started on the state of the restrooms - they were a biohazard zone. The staff at the commercial ] were beyond rude and unprofessional. They seemed completely disinterested in providing any sort of service and were outright hostile when I tried to ask a simple question. It was as if they had never been trained in basic customer service skills. To make matters worse, the food I received was not only subpar in quality but also looked like it had been sitting out for hours. I wouldn't be surprised if someone were to get seriously ill from consuming the food served at this establishment. It's clear that food safety and hygiene are not a priority here. In all my years of experience in the hospitality industry, I have never encountered such a disgraceful establishment. I urge anyone considering dining at commercial to think twice and choose a different place to eat. This place is a health hazard and a complete embarrassment to the industry.

What a disgrace never seen such a dirty establishment in all my 31 years on this planet . I had to ask the staff multiple times to clean the table so I could sit down . On every single empty table was full to the brim with plates and left over food . I had no patience left at this point and got a cloth of the bar and the cleaner and cleaned the table my self while the staff and the manager was stood gossiping Laughing behind the bar . As experienced as Manager in hospitality my self I was totally shocked how they responded. Not even apology. Also didn’t eat the food as it came out thrown on the plate and looked like it had been tampered with . I’ve taken videos of the the establishment to send to environmental health the places is a hazard and if front of house looked as bad as it did I can’t imagine what the kitchen looked like ! DONT EAT HERE !!!

Sorry to say, when we we're having a drink all the tables we're full with stuff. Staff didn't bother to clear it. I will not come back here.

Nice place plenty of room and seats to eat, took my toddler on a way to one of our playgroups for lunch but there weren't enough high chairs around but we managed. We ate the paninis which were nice but a little dry maybe or maybe the wrong bread to have used and it turned a bit tough to eat even for me.

Sunday 2pm out of half the food menu and some beers

Compared to other weatherspoon, this one is smaller and does not have free parking, but overall service is very good.

Went for lunch with my son and grandaughters, got the 3 small meals 2 pizza and a chips. the spicy chicken burger with hash brown, spicy chicken wing, onion rings and chips, 1 American burger with chips, the 2 small pizza was nice with the chips but the spicy chicken burger was not nice, all cold not spicy at all, had it before in different Wetherspoons and it was delicious! Nice little side salad but this just looked awful, not worth its money at all. American burger was tiny and cold. We decided to have a desert to make up for poor meal, pancakes with maple syrup and ice cream, kids loved it. I decided on the cookie dough with ice cream, it came and I presumed they had made an error and given me the mini one! He said no it’s just melted, (still Tiny!) he did take it back and brought another out but decided not to bother warming this one! It was gross. The staff walked round with miserable faces didn’t even speak to us whilst serving us. I defiantly shall not be eating here again. No effort made at all.

Clean & tidy Wethers in Sowerby Bridge with the usual menu to suit most people. Tried the new Christmas dinner, not bad at all but can't comment on the beers because I was driving :(

Wow how ignorant are the staff. I was in on Saturday 11th June between 17:30 and 22:00 and not one smile, not one person with any manners. I let three servers past on my way to the toilets and not one thanked me. The bar staff like to slam your drink down on the counter and then you loose 1/2 an inch off the top of your pint. The chips were Luke warm, the cheese garlic bread came out uncut but they had kindly supplied a steak knife to hack it up with. 4/11/23 Other than a very apologetic staff member taking my pint away, before I'd had a quarter of it, it was a much better visit. At least the staff member apologised as she thought I was sitting at a different table. And she brought a replacement

Always come down for a breakfast, about 9am, it's usually quiet at that time and you can have a pick of the seats. Food always fast out and does the job. For the price you can't go wrong :)

Went for breakfast and it was really quiet. Staff were really nice and food came quickly.

Very poor customer service. Not been to a wetherspoons for ages so didn’t know the crack. Ordered a breakfast and a coffee. Forgot to ask for the breakfast well done. I was advised by the person who was at the bar to speak to the person at the bar. Five minutes later there was someone at the bar . Took them a while to find my order as the table number didn’t exist. Well i couldn’t find it when i tried to sit there and it wasn’t where id asked to be seated. Breakfast was plonked in front of me. I asked about my coffee. I was advised to go to the bar and fetch my cup. I did so, not realising the cups were behind the bar. Went to the coffee machine and it had no milk in it and was erroring. Left my cup under the machine and told them their coffee machine wasn’t working. I was asked if id tried the other coffee machine. I said “no” and left to get my coffee next door at a cafe where I got my coffee with customer service thrown in. To be fair wetherspoons said there was an offer on coffee only a pound. So I really enjoyed my really airey latte which was also wind swept rained on latte as I treked down the street. So a very expensive non-existent coffee.

Can wait over half hour for drinks through the app that's if they remember as for food order extras don't expect it to arrive how hard it is to get things correct also stuff missing on the h breakfasts absolutely useless... Come on staff use the few brain cells you have to get things correct

I visit Wetherspoons regularly in various locations...But this one in Scarborough has gone downhill it's dirty the tables don't get cleared or cleaned ...I requested our table be cleared of plates etc but nothing was done we eventually moved to another table which was sticky with split drinks we ended up cleaning it ourselves...won't be visiting that one again.

Not the best spoons I've visited, but it's OK. Set on the main road through sowerby bridge with outdoor seating to front and rear. Not the best selection of drinks compared to some of thier bigger pubs, but worth a look if you're after a quick pint or a cheap meal.

Nice clean rooms and friendly staff! Though the shower was a little slowly as there was a lifting station for the grey water. I don’t really know why they need such a thing in the 3rd floor and the shower was full with water after a minute. Another negative aspect were the tables in the breakfast room / pub. These were sticky and didn’t feel clean. Nevertheless, the breakfast was great and one could choose from a variety of dishes. The dinner in the pub was also delicious. Overall it was a good experience with some negativ aspects.

VIBRANT WITH GOOD SELECTION OF FOOD AND DRINK

Generally I like Wetherspoons but not this one! I came as part of a birthday party for drinks and sat with my mom and sister and my small, well-behaved dog at a filthy table just inside the door where you can smell the toilets as the “beer garden” (crowded area full of smokers next to the main road) was full. As I was queuing at the bar, a staff member came to tell my sister that dogs are not allowed anywhere on the premises, not even outside - my little guy hadn’t done a thing wrong! So I left my family party (we were part of a big group, many of whom had already been served) and took my dog down to the Artemis on the canal wharf, where I sat outside with him and gave him water and snacks from their doggy station, and was served quickly with good food and smiles. I definitely would NOT go to this Wetherspoons again because it’s stinky, mucky, and dog-unfriendly. Better at the Hog’s Head over the road which has a bigger and better outside seating area and dogs are welcome inside and out. 1 star to Wetherspoons for their smelly toilets (that I didn’t even go in!), dirty tables, and no-dog policy.

Reviewed again after a particularly bad visit. Spent £7 to get a very small, cold chicken burger, which had none of the extras on that I'd paid for. Cold bacon and a cheese slice on top for over £2 extra. Food is now disgusting and the service isn't much better. Staff don't care, dirty tables and empty glasses littering the place and there was hardly anyone in!
